Now here's the new chapter of a different path to take vol1
Also I will reveal the results of the poll at the end of ch24.
Now then it's time to finish things up at the dojo.

Chapter 23: Vengeance at the dojo part 3
'Last time: after May winning her first Kanto ribbon, the gang decided to check out a battle demo at one of the dojos and May wanted some battle noodles, after helping settling a fight between Master Hamm and his son, Master Hamm told them about another fighting Dojo and they went there and May and Brock won their battles and got a Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan respectively. But in the distance there was a group seeking revenge on Ash and Brock and that was the Invincible Pokémon brothers and they hired some criminals and build a mech like team rocket and attacked the dojo, May and Brock defeated the criminals and Ash and Dante destroyed the robot and force the brothers and battle them and Kim was so angry at the verge of defeat that he decided to play dirty and have his Hitmonchan go after Max, but May pushed him out of the way and she got hit hard and was hurt, then something within Ash and Dante awakened and they got angry and started glowing and then Ash, Dante Brock and their Pokémon had the look of pure rage.'
The rain pour down on the dojo, lightning crackled and thunder boomed in the air. The air was tensed as feelings of anger and rage was felt.
Ash, Dante and Brock were very pissed off and so was Pikachu, Crobat and Onix.
The 6 glared angrily at the invincible pokémon brothers for they have done to May and Max and now it's time for them to pay.
"Uh Kim I think you went way too far." Kam said now filled with fear.
"Yeah I agree this is gone way out of hand." Added Kail who was afraid as well.
Kim was very scared, but got cocky and arrogant again.
"Come you 2 we're the Invincible Pokémon Brothers and we need to prove to those losers that no one should ever beat us, now quit being babies and fight!" Kim yelled.
Kam and Kail were scared but they got back a little of bit of their spine and joined and so did their pokémon.
Ash, Dante and Brock were still fuming and so was Pikachu, Onix and Crobat, they were furious at what happened to May and so it was time to unleashed some payback.
The 6 looked at each other and nodded and then took their stances.
(Cue Pokémon Anime BGM - Victory Road (Last Road) (1997~1998-M78)
"Ok then Hitmontop go into Rapid Spin and then use Triple Kick on Onix!" ordered Kai.
Hitmontop started spinning on his head and then charged towards Onix with his legs ready to strike.
"Nice try Onix dodge that and use Bind on Hitmontop!" Drake said.
Onix growled and went underground to avoid Hitmontop's attack and Hitmontop stopped wandering where Onix go and then the ground shakes and Onix came out behind him surprising Hitmontop.
"Now use Bind!" Dante shouted.
Onix moved in and wraps its tail around Hitmontop and squeezed him.
"Hitmontop get out of there!" Kai shouted.
Try as he might, Hitmontop couldn't break free from Bind and now it was Dante's move.
"Now use Dragon Breath!" ordered Dante.
Onix opened his mouth and fired a gust of green-yellow energy that struck Hitmontop paralyzing him.
"NO!" Kai shouted.
"Now Throw him in the air!" Dante said.
Onix did that and threw Hitmontop in the air.
"Now finish this with Iron Tail!" Dante Bellowed.
Onix waited for Hitmontop to fall closer and then with a big roar its tail glowed white and with one swing slammed Hitmontop into the ground hard and Hitmontop was now KO.
Kai slumped to his knees.
"That's it for you." Dante said in a deep voice. "1 down, 2 to go."
Kail was facing Brock and his Crobat and saw Kai got beaten and wasn't going to go down without a fight.
"Ok Hitmonlee use Mega Kick!" Kail said.
Hitmonlee moved in with his feet out ready to strike.
"Crobat dodge it." Brock said.
Crobat took off In time to avoid being hit and got above him.
"Now hit him with Sludge bomb." Brock told Crobat.
Crobat fired off some brown sludges at Hitmonlee.
"Hitmonlee counter with swift attack!" Kail commanded.
Hitmonlee crossed his arms and then moved his arms away firing multi yellow stars to counter the sludge bomb creating an explosion.
"That did it." Kail said. "Now move in with Jump Kick!"
Hitmonlee then jump through the smoke and with his leg out ready to strike.
"Good, but not good enough, Crobat Double team!"Brock says.
Crobat made copies of itself and Hitmonlee only took out one of the copies before landing on the ground.
"What?" Kail said surprised.
He got mad and told Hitmonlee to use swift to take out the copies.
Hitmonlee fired more yellow stars and took out all of the Crobat's copies but the real one nowhere to be seen.
"Where is it?" Kail hissed.
Hitmonlee scanned the area to find Crobat but he felt a shadow on him turned to see Crobat above him.
"Crobat use supersonic." Brock said.
Crobat then releases multiple thin, light-blue or transparent sound waves from its mouth at Hitmonlee causing him to cover his ears in pain, leaving him wide open.
"Now use Sludge Bomb!" followed up Brock.
Crobat fired a barrage of brown sludge at Hitmonlee hitting and poisoning him at the same time.
"HITMONLEE NO!" Kail cried out.
"Now Crobat let's show them your newest move use Air cutter!" said Brock.
Crobat flaps its wings, releasing multiple light blue blades of energy from them at Hitmonlee dealing a lot of damage.
"Now finish him off with Aerial Ace!" Brock commanded Crobat.
Crobat flew up and then flip and came down at great speed with white streaks around it and then fly into Hitmonlee dealing massive damage to the kicking Pokémon sending him flying into Kail defeated with both of them have spiral patterns in their eyes.
Brock took a deep breath and calmed down.
Crobat flew over to him.
"Good job Crobat now get a good rest." Said Brock.
Crobat nodded and was returned to his ball.
"Now only one is left." Brock added.
Now it was Ash vs Kim and Pikachu against Hitmonchan, Ash was still glowing but it felt like something else was in the driver seat and now the last battle begins.
Kim was now the only brother remaining and now it was go time.
"Ok Hitmonchan use Ice Punch!" Kim called out.
Hitmonchan moved in with his fist covered icy-blue energy ready to hit Pikachu.
"Pikachu use Agility to dodge." Ash spoke.
Pikachu did so and avoided the attack while getting faster.
"Now quick attack!" Ash followed up.
Pikachu ran at a fast speed and then hits Hitmonchan sending him skidding across the field.
Hitmonchan was able to regain his footing and stopped.
"Now use Thunderbolt!" Ash added.
"Not so fast! Hitmonchan use Double Team!" Kim shouted.
Hitmonchan shouted and made copies of himself and surrounded Pikachu.
"Pikachu stop!" Ash called out.
Pikachu stopped himself from using thunder bolt.
"Don't go after Hitmonchan, let him come to you, so remain still and when he gets close attack!" Ash told Pikachu.
Pikachu nodded and remained still and closed his eyes to try and sense where the real Hitmonchan was.
"That was stupid, Hitmonchan use Ice punch!" Kim said feeling too cocky.
Hitmonchan and his copies all moved in with Ice Punch ready.
Pikachu used his ears to listen to find the real Hitmonchan, he listened closely and focused on one thing.
The Hitmonchan's came closer but Pikachu heard something with his right ear and then leaped up in the air and came down with Iron Tail and strike Hitmonchan from the right on the head, stopping his attack and making the copies vanished.
"What?!" Kim shouted.
"Now Pikachu Thunder bolt!" Ash said.
Pikachu's cheeks sparked and then let out a blast of yellow electricity and struck Hitmonchan hard dealing a lot of damage to him.
"NOOOOO!" Kim yelled.
But he got mad and told Hitmonchan to power through and use Mach Punch and Hitmonchan did that and landed a hit on Pikachu but that made Pikachu very mad.
"Pikachu quick attack then Iron tail!" Ash said.
Pikachu moved fast with Quick attack and struck Hitmonchan and with the extra speed from the move, he jumped up and hit Hitmonchan with Iron tail again.
"Hitmonchan use Fire Punch!" Kim shouted now sounding a bit more desperate.
Hitmonchan was panting because he was getting worn out from the battle and the damage he was taking, so he gather energy in his left fist and was covered in fire and moved in to strike, but Ash can see that, even in his current state he knew that someone would do that if things were getting desperate.
"Dodge." He simply said to Pikachu.
Pikachu did that and avoided the attack.
"Now use Quick attack!" Ash added.
Pikachu then moved fast and then struck Hitmonchan in the chest.
"Now finish this with one last iron tail." He said.
"CCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHHHUUUUUUUUUUU-PIKA!" said Pikachu with his tail glowing white and he turned around and landed the final blow on the Punching Pokémon squared on the head.
Hitmonchan was wobbling and all of his energy was gone and then he leaned forward and fell to the ground with a spiral pattern in his eyes.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Kim shouted in the skies.
"And that makes 3 brothers defeated." Ash said in a chilling deep voice.

The so called invincible Pokémon brothers were truly defeated and now they saw Ash, Dante and Brock looking at them with a deadly glare and were frozen with fear and could not move.
Ash and the others walked up to them and then grabbed them by the helm of their shirts and held them in the air.
The brothers were now sweating bullets.
"Now listen closely you fools…" Ash said in a voice that was laced with venom.
"What you have done was very despicable." Brock added.
"And while a part of me would love to do nothing more than to make you 3 suffer in the most painful ways, out of respect for Ash, you 3 will be punished in a different way." Dante followed up.
Then Ash and Dante took a deep breath and let out a big roar (2014 Godzilla Roar) that echoed throughout Saffron City and made everyone and the Pokémon feel a bit scared and wonder what kind of angry creatures would make such noise?
After Ash and Dante were done roaring, Kim and his brothers were now fully scared.
"If you ever try this shit again." Dante said angrily. "All Bets are off understood?" followed up Ash.
"Y-y-y-y-yes sirs." Said the brothers.
"Good." Said Ash.
"Now lights out!" finished Dante.
Then Ash, Brock and Dante punched all 3 brothers at the same time in the face and knocked them out cold.
Then Dante stopped glowing and his eyes changed back and Ash did the same thing.
But Ash felt a bit drained and was about to fall when Brock caught him.
"I got you buddy." He said.
Dante put his eye patch back on and put both hands on his knees as he was a bit worn out himself.
'not again.' Dante thought.
"What happened?" Ash asked as he felt a bit of pain in his head.
"I'll tell you later Ash, but the short answer is Kim launched an attack on Max, but May got hit instead and all 3 of us lost our tempers and well we kicked their asses." Dante said.
"Oh ok, I better go check on May and Max." Ash said.
"Ok, Brock take Ash to them and I'll call the cops after I do this." Dante told them as he got another PokéBall out and let out an Ariados.
"Ok Ariados use String shot to tie the brothers up and Onix, bring the crooks and their Pokémon over here." Dante told the two Pokémon.
They nodded and did so right away, Ariados tied the brothers up tight with String shot and after Onix brought the crooks the brothers hired and their Pokémon Ariados used String shot to tied them up as well.
Dante thanked them for their work and returned them to their Pokéballs.
"Now to end this mess." He said as got the Pokégear out and called the cops.
After he did that, he looked up to the skies and saw the rain was finally stopping.
About 30 minutes later, Officer Jenny and the cops arrived at the dojo along with a couple of ambulances.
Kim and his brothers along with the crooks they hired, they were placed in police vans and were taken away, as for their Pokémon they were taken to Pokémon centers to be treated and once that is done they will be released back into the wild.
May was taken to a nearby hospital to have her injuries look at, Ash and the others came with her, they sat out in the waiting room, while the doctors look after her.
Dante got back from the phone telling Caroline and Norman what happened.
"What's the status?" he asked them.
"the docs are doing their final rounds on May but it looks hopeful." Brock told Dante.
"I see." Said Dante.
He then notices Max looking down in his seat and went up to him and put his hand on his shoulder.
"Max, your sister did what she did to protect you and keep the promise she made to your parents and you stayed with her while we dealt the invincible Pokémon brothers and you stay by her side, that shows some strength and compassion." Dante said with a kind tone in his voice.
Max looked up when Dante said that and he couldn't help it but leap out of the chair and hugged him and Dante placed his hand on head.
Ash saw that and let out a small smile and so did Pikachu and Brock.
Just then the doctors came out of May's room and walked up to the others.
"How is she doc?" asked Ash.
"Well then young man, the girl is doing good." He said and they all breathe a sigh of relief.
"Luckily she only has some internal bruises but nothing is broken, but I do recommend she stays the night before leaving tomorrow." He told them.
"Ok then, but can we see her?" asked Max.
The doctor smiled and nodded.
They went to her room and saw May in a hospital bed.
"Hey guys." She said.
Then went over to her and were glad that she was ok.
Max went up to hug May and didn't let go.
May returned the hug.
"How are you feeling?" asked Ash.
"I'm ok, but I'm not going to lie getting hit like that hurts like hell." Said May.
Everyone agreed with that logic.
"So the Docs said all I need is some rest and I'll be good to go tomorrow." May added.
"That's great May." Put In Brock.
"So does mom and dad know what happened?" May asked the obvious question.
"Yeah they do, after we arrived in the hospital I called them and I had to calm down your dad cause he looked hell bent on committing murder on the Invincible Pokémon brothers. Can't say I blame him I would've done the same thing." Dante said making everyone sweat bullets.
"Yeah that's our dad." Said Max.
"Well if Mom was that angry, not even team rocket would dare mess with her." Added Ash.
"So what happened to the brothers?" May asked.
"good question let's turn on the TV." Said Dante.
May got the remote and turned the TV on,
It was on a news channel and it was on the report of what happened at the dojo, Koichi is there being interviewed by Officer Jenny and explained what happened and the Invincible Pokémon brothers and the crooks they hired to attack the dojo to try steal their Pokémon, but a group of trainers stopped them and only one of their friends got hurt, but the brothers and the crooks were defeated and then arrested and were taken to jail for their crimes and awaiting trial.
May then turn the TV off.
"Ok that was a bit tense." Said Dante.
Everyone nodded in agreement.
Just then someone knocked on the door.
"Come in." May says.
The door opened in and Koichi, Mike and Hiro walked in.
"Hey guys." Greeted Dante.
"How are you doing May?" Koichi asked.
"I'm ok, just a few bruises but I'm alright." She told them.
"That's good, we're sorry you got hurt." Said Mike.
May told him it was ok.
"So what brings you 3 here?" Brock asked.
"Well we came here to thank you all for saving the dojo and the Pokémon." Said Hiro.
"Hey no problem." Said Ash.
"Well we thought of something to repay you guys and well since you didn't battle Ash, then how about this." Koichi said.
"What's that?" asked Ash.
"Well how about this idea." Said Hiro. "If you beat Koichi you get both Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan."
"WHAT?!" everyone said in surprise.
"Why?" asked Max.
"Well after what you guys did, we wanted to show our gratitude and well this is a rare opportunity what do you say Ash?" asked Koichi.
Ash was surprised and a bit confused to the idea and wasn't sure until Pikachu jumped on his shoulder and nodded.
"Are you sure Pikachu?" asked Ash.
"Pika." Said Pikachu.
"Ok Koichi you got a deal." Ash told him.
"Great, come to the dojo tomorrow around noon and it'll be a double battle, so bring your 'A' game." He told Ash.
"You got it!" said Ash.
Then Koichi and his students left for the dojo.
Just then Ash, Pikachu, Dante, Max, May and Brock's stomach's all growled at the same time.
"Well somethings don't change, time for some dinner." Said Brock.
Dante, Max and Brock went down to get some food leaving May along with Ash, Pikachu went with the others.
"So it's the two of us." Ash said feeling a bit nervous.
"Yeah." May added feeling a bit nervous herself.
Ash then took a deep breath and spoke.
"I'm sorry you got hurt May." He said.
"Ash it's ok I did it to protect Max, so I bear the responsibility." Said May.
"But still I can't believe that Kim would stoop so low in order to win, he and his brothers are a disgrace as Pokémon trainers." Ash said with some anger in his voice.
"What happened Ash?" May asked.
"When you got hurt and passed out something in me, Dante and Brock snapped and got Max and the others to get you inside, cause we were furious like something out of an action-adventure movie." Ash said clenching his fists.
May can see that Ash was really angry and so she slowly got out of bed and went over to Ash and hugged him.
"Huh?" he said in surprise.
"Ash please calm down for me?" May said.
Ash took a deep breath and calmed down.
"Sorry May but what those jackasses did really got me really pissed off." Ash said.
"I know Ash, but maybe this would help you relax." She said.
Then she leaned forward and kissed him on the lips and Ash felt his anger melted.
May then pulled back.
"How was that?" she said with a playful smirk.
"May that was amazing." Said Ash now feeling calm.
Soon everyone came back with dinner and they all ate their food, after they were done and cleaned up the mess, it was time for the others to head back to the Pokémon center and they promised May to come get her tomorrow and they left.
The next day came and after showering, getting dressed, Ash and the others went to the hospital to get May as she was free to leave, but was advised to be a bit more careful.
Soon they had a big breakfast and Max and Brock watched, Ash, May and Dante eating away like machines and sweat dropped.
After Breakfast, they decided to walk around town for a bit until it was nearly 11:45 AM Ash went to the Pokémon center and called Professor to switch out of one of his Pokemon and told the others he'll meet them at the Dojo.
Ash ran fast and got to the Dojo quickly and met the group with 5 minutes to spare and saw that the Dojo's walls were being fixed.
"Man it's going to be a few weeks before the walls are fixed." Said Max.
"Yep but at least there won't be any more trouble." Added Brock.
"Let's hope so." Put in May.
Soon they all went in through the gate and inside the dojo itself where Koichi, Mike and Hiro were waiting.
"Glad you guys can make it and how are you feeling May?" Koichi asked.
"I'm ok but don't worry I'll take it easy." She said.
"That's good." Said Koichi.
He turned towards Ash.
"So Ash are you ready?" he asked.
"Sure am." Ash answered.
"Good because I am not holding back." He told Ash,
"Neither am I." replied Ash.
Then both of them took their places on the battlefield.
"Hey Koichi if it's ok I can referee." Dante asked.
"Sure Dante go ahead." Koichi answered.
Dante then went to the referee spot.
"Ok everyone, the double battle between Ash and Karate Master Koichi will begin, both sides will use 2 Pokémon. First trainer to render the other Pokémon unable to battle first wins. Now bring out your Pokémon!" Dante announced.
Koichi went first.
"Ok Poliwrath, Machop I choose you!" Koichi called out.
"Poliwrath!"
"Machop!"
"Ok then Pikachu you're up!" Ash told his buddy.
"Pika!" said Pikachu as he ran up to the field.
"Now Primeape I choose you!" Ash shouted.
"Primeape!" shouted the Pig monkey Pokémon.
"Ok you 2 I need you both to work together so we can win ok?" Ash told them.
They grunted in agreement.
"Now we're ready." Said Ash.
Both Pokemon looked at each other with determined looks on their faces.
'After defeating the Invincible Pokémon brothers and their hired help, Ash was now having his chance to battle Koichi for not 1 but 2 fighting Pokémon Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan, but it won't be easy. Will Ash snatch victory or will he fall into the jaws of defeat? Find out next time as the journey continues.'

Ok that ends this long overdue chapter.
Sorry for the wait, but writer's block, IRL stuff and others things got in the way.
Now then as you saw Ash, Dante and Brock defeated Kim and his brothers and well I wanted to make the brothers be punished a bit more, but decided against it and what will happened to them? Well find out in the next chapter.
Now then speaking of the next chapters.
I originally was going to add the battle in this chapter, but decided to save it as the next chapter and the Dante focus one will be ch25.
Now Ch24 will be worked on as soon as I get 3 other chapters (one for each stories) done first.
So please don't ask me when it's coming.
also but not making any promises but ch24 might come out in Dec.

Hey there SilentPlayermc03 if you are reading this I want to know that you are one of my favorite writers out there, I mean you are one of the people that inspire me to do A different path to take.
I am sorry that those damn fools who gave you nothing but crap and cause you to lose your motivation to keep writing, I enjoy your stories and I didn't mind waiting. But I say this if you want to step away from writing for a while, it's fine I understand, but I hope that one day you can regain your motivation to write again and do me and those who stand by you a favor, ignore the damn trolls who cause you stress.
But I hope you can see this.
now then as I stated in earlier chapters the harem list will be updated In ch25.
Also the poll regarding Ash getting either an Elekid or Electabuzz is still up for now, you have until Nov 30 to vote your choice.
Cause once it's Nov 30 the poll will closed and the results will be revealed at the end of ch24.
Another thing I am dedicating this chapter to Kevin Conroy who has passed away last Thursday.
Everyone knows Kevin Conroy as Bruce Wayne/Batman and those who grew up with him being the Dark knight of Gotham and other roles even in video games.
When I heard he passed I was sad and so was many others who grew up with Kevin being Batman.
And we all remember when he said the famous quote. "I am vengeance, I am the night, I am BATMAN!"
We will all miss him, but as long as we remember him, he lives on.
We will miss you Kevin.
