Chapter 27: a battle arena full of surprises part 2
'last time Ash and the others have travelled quite a bit and have arrived the battle arena to challenge Greta, after spinning the wheel it was a 2 on 2 match, Greta brought out Medicham and Hariyama and Ash is using Grovyle and Snorlax, so how will Ash pull a win out of this match? Let's find out.'
"Ready... Begin!" said the ref.
"Grovyle quick attack let's go now!" shouted Ash.
Grovyle took off with great speed with a white streak behind him.
"Hariyama arm thrust!" Greta commanded.
Hariyama came in with its arm and hand extended to hit Grovyle.
"Dodge and use Bullet seed!" shouted Ash.
Grovyle jump high in the air and then fired a barrage of yellow glowing seeds at Hariyama.
"Quick Arm Thrust!" said Greta.
"HARI!"
Hariyama use Arm thrust to block Grovyle's attack.
"Wow they blocked Bullet seed with an arm thrust!" said Max.
"Yeah Hariyama is quick." Added Dante.
"Hariyama use arm thrust again!" said Greta.
Hariyama came in charging for another attack.
"Let's get them Grovyle use bullet side one more time!" said Ash.
Grovyle jump above Hariyama surprising it.
"Ok now!" said Ash.
Grovyle fired another round of Bullet seed.
"Dodge it!" Greta shouted.
Hariyama dodge the attack very fast.
Both Ash, May and Pikachu were surprised at Hariyama dodging.
"Hariyama quick grab ahold of Grovyle!" said Greta.
Hariyama moved in for the grab.
"Grovyle get out of there!" said Ash.
Grovyle tried to jump away but got his foot grabbed by Hariyama and was slammed to the ground.
"Now use Arm thrust!" Greta followed up.
"Hari!"
"Use Quick attack to dodge and then Aerial Ace!" Ash countered.
Grovyle did so and moved fast to get away and then jumped up and was covered in white streaks and came charging towards to Hariyama and slam into Hariyama hard.
"What?!" shouted Greta in surprise.
"Grovyle learned that in the Hoenn league." Said Ash.
"Classic Ash." Chuckled Dante.
"One lucky hit doesn't mean you'll win, Hariyama arm thrust!" said Greta.
Hariyama came in with its hand and arm thrusted in front and landed a direct hit on Grovyle send him flying to the ground.
"Grovyle get up." Said Ash.
Grovyle groaned but he got up.
"How are they going to get out of this?" said Max.
"Looks they're kind of stuck. Grovyle's bullet seed is far too weak from a distance and if they get up close they're overpowered." Said Scott analyzing the situation.
"Ok we gotta use speed, Grovyle use quick attack!" Ash said.
Grovyle took off with great speed with a white streak behind him.
"That Grovyle sure is speedy, Hariyama get going!" Greta said.
Hariyama move in to intercept but Grovyle moved past it and got behind it.
"WHAT?!" said Greta in surprise and so was Hariyama.
"Grovyle use Bullet seed!" said Ash.
Grovyle fired a round a bullet seed at Hariyama's back dealing some damage.
"Now follow up with Fury Cutter!" Ash called out.
Grovyle's leaves glowed light green and slash at Hariyama.
"Hariyama!" cried out Greta.
"Nice job Ash!" said Dante.
"using Fury cutter is surprising, but with each time it hits the damage increases." Added Brock.
Grovyle used fury cutter up to 3 times and Hariyama took some hits.
"Now use leaf blade!" shouted Ash.
Grovyle's right blade glowed green and landed a hit on Hariyama that send it to the ground.
"Not bad." Said Greta.
"Let's wrap this up use Leaf blade again." Said Ash.
Grovyle moved in for another attack when Greta cut in.
"Focus punch." She said.
Hariyama's eyes opened and its right fist gathered energy and glowed white and then punched Grovyle into the air.
Everyone gasped.
"A direct hit!" said May.
"Grovyle No!" shouted Ash.
Grovyle hit the rafters and then came falling down to the battle field.
When the dust cleared Grovyle's eyes were replaced with spiral patterns.
"Grovyle is unable to continue, Hariyama's the winner." Said the ref.
"Excellent Hariyama Oish!" said Greta and Hariyama copied its trainer's movement.
"Wow so in turns out Grovyle's speed to be a bad move against Greta." Said Brock.
"Greta and Hariyama use Grovyle's speed to magnified the power of that focus punch to the max. classic fighting style." Scott said.
"I guess trainers who use fighting Pokémon know how to fight." Added Max.
"True but Grovyle did manage to inflict some damage to Hariyama so let's see if Snorlax can finish the job." Dante added.
"Grovyle return!" said Ash recalling his Pokémon.
"Good job Grovyle take a good long rest." He said.
"Well done you shown a lot of courage out there." Said Greta.
"Thank you but we just gotten started." Said Ash.
"Snorlax I choose you!" he said.
"Snorlax!" said Snorlax as he moved onto the field.
"Hariyama let's get this over quickly." Said Greta.
"Hariyama!"
Jessie and James complained to Meowth of waiting and want to grab Pikachu but Meowth told them to stay put.
"It's all up to Snorlax." Said Brock.
"I was afraid of this." Added May.
"Yeah Snorlax and fighting types don't mix." Max joined in.
"But remember this is Ash we're talking about." Brock added.
"Yep and Ash does find a way to win." Finished Dante.
"Pika." Said Pikachu.
"Hariyama use arm thrust!" said Greta.
Hariyama started moving and thrusting his hands in rapid motion.
"Snorlax use protect!" shouted Ash.
Snorlax got into a defensive position and glowed white.
Hariyama started hitting Snorlax with Arm thrust, but Snorlax held his ground but was eventually pushed back.
Even Greta was impressed with Snorlax's defense.
"There see? With that kind of defensive power even the strongest fighter will have a rough time." Scott said,
"That's awesome way to go Ash." Cheered Max.
"Let's win this thing what do you say Snorlax?" said Ash.
"Snorlax!"
"Once more, Arm thrust Hariyama!" shouted Greta.
Hariyama came in with its arm out ready to strike.
"Dodge and then use headbutt!" Ash shouted.
Snorlax dodge the attack and moved in to slam his head Hariyama knocking it back.
"Impressive Ash but try this, Hariyama use double slap!" Greta ordered.
Hariyama moved in fast with its hands it front of it.
"Oh yeah? try this one Greta, Snorlax dodge and use fire punch!" shouted Ash.
"WHAT?!" everyone shouted.
Snorlax dodge Hariyama and his left fist was covered in fire and punches Hariyama in the face making it slide back.
Hariyama groaned in pain but suddenly a flash of fire appeared and Hariyama felt a bit of its strength drained.
"Hariyama!" Greta cried out.
"Ooooh! Hariyama got a burn!" said Dante.
"Yeah with that Burn, Hariyama will lose more of its energy for as the battle continues." Brock added.
"Good move Ash but time to end this. Hariyama wrap this up with a focus punch!" said Greta.
Hariyama gathered energy into its fist and charged towards Snorlax.
"Snorlax use protect!" shouted Ash.
Snorlax used Protect but this time it failed and Hariyama send Snorlax flying and falls back on his stomach.
Hariyama grunted but felt a bit more of its strength drained by the burn.
"Uh oh this may be it." Said Dante.
"Snorlax get up!" shouted Ash.
Snorlax grunted but got up slowly.
"We're almost there. Hariyama time to deliver the final focus punch!" said Greta.
Hariyama jumped with its fist glowing blue-white and went towards Snorlax.
"Dodge it!" shouted Ash.
Snorlax did so and got out of the way in time and Hariyama missed and hit the ground hard.
Both Hariyama and Greta were shocked.
But Hariyama injured its hand and held it and winced and felt the burn drained more of its strength.
"Now to wrap it in ice, now Snorlax use your ice punch!" shouted Ash.
Snorlax's right fist was surrounded by an orb of pale blue light and then punches Hariyama, freezing it in the process.
Hariyama was frozen and fell on its back with a spiral pattern on its face.
"Hariyama is unable to Battle, Snorlax is the winner!" call the ref.
"Snorlax!" said Snorlax as he pumped his arms in the air for victory.
"Alright we did it!" said Ash.
The others cheered for Ash for his win against Hariyama.
"Now they're tied 1 to 1." Said Brock.
Scott went saying that Ash that his strategy had nothing to do with Pokémon types, but's Greta's Medicham hasn't battle yet.
"This will be something." He finished.
"Hariyama return!" said Greta recalling it. "You have fought hard and deserve a rest."
Medicham then jumped into the field and showed off its fighting prowess.
"it's up to you Medicham!" said Greta.
"Snorlax you show them who's the boss!" said Ash.
'Ash's battle with Greta had a roaring start, first Grovyle lost to Hariyama but not before inflicting a lot of damage and Snorlax managed to finish Hariyama off and now Medicham stands in Ash's way of getting the guts symbol, how will he beat Greta's Medicham? Find out next time.'

Sorry to split it again but having too many chapters in your head can be draining as hell.
So next chapter is the final part at the battle arena and maybe a little something extra at the end.
So ch29 will be the one Ash catches 3 new pokémon.

Also the next 2 chapters are Cody's harem the final story ch8 and my alien academia vol 1 ch14.
Now I have another story to finish but it's going to be a while before the next chapter of this story comes out.
Now then I am also going to delete to 2 of my stories because I lost the spark to continue them and will replace them with 2 new one shots.
Ok I think that's it for now, so I better get going Grievous is attacking Coruscant again.
