Greetings everyone how's it going today?
Now then here is the new chapter,
Also this is where Ash is catching 3 new Pokémon based on the last poll one of them in this chapter and the rest in the next one.
But listen up this chapter is going to be in a bit of dark toned territory and more of it in the next chapter.
Because this chapter is going to tackle one of the many things that I absolutely despise.
So if anyone doesn't have the stomach for it, I would advise to skip parts of this chapter and the next one, but if you choose to stay, then I will admit you have guts.
But don't say I didn't warn you.
Also there will be announcements at the end of the chapter.

Chapter 29: an encounter with a poacher part 1
It was a late night at the Pokémon center that Ash and the others were staying to rest on their way to the Battle dome, but it seems that Ash is having some kind of dream and it was a very intense one.
He was moving around in his bed, he felt like something or someone pinning him down, a cold sweat appeared on his face and he felt like he was helpless to stop something terrible to happen.
(Inside Ash's dream)
Ash was in a forest but it surrounded by dark auras and there his friends were battling against some enemy but they were struggling and they were hurt.
"What's going on?" he said looking very tense.
"Well punk is it isn't obvious, we're kicking your asses."
But before Ash can locate the source of the voice…
(BANG!)
"AHH!"
Ash felt immense pain in his shoulder as he dropped to his knees clenching where he was shot.
Pikachu saw that ran to attack the one who shot Ash but was struck down by a Rhydon's Iron tail sending him flying.
"PIKACHU NO!" shouted Ash.
"AAAHHH!"
Ash turned to see May, Max, Brock and Dante all defeated with their foes standing triumphant with smug looks on their faces.
Then their leader slowly came up to Ash and pointed the gun in his face and then he pull back the hammer and the barrel turned to the next bullet.
"Enjoy your trip in hell."
Then he pulled the trigger.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Ash shouted.
(Exiting Ash's dream)
"NO!" Ash shouted springing up in his bed.
He panted very hard, a cold sweat was formed on his face, he felt like he really did shot.
He was so tensed he dare not go back to sleep, in case he had that horrible nightmare.
"Pika?"
Ash look to see Pikachu who was awake and look concerned.
"Sorry to wake you buddy." Ash apologized. "Just had a very bad dream."
He then got out of bed and took a pillow and a blanket.
Pikachu wanted to go with him.
"Sorry buddy but I need to be alone." Ash said sadly.
He then went down to the lounge and then slept on a couch.
He slowly went back to sleep, but he was glad he was sleeping alone because he didn't want anyone to see him sleep with tears in his eyes.
However Nurse Joy was finishing up her job and decided to get some rest, but she saw Ash on the couch and had a sad look on his face as he slept and she felt sorry for him, so she went over to him and sat on the couch and moved the pillow onto her lap and then placed his head on the pillow.
She then slowly rubbed his head to ease the troubled thoughts in his mind.
Just then Pikachu came in and was worried for Ash, Nurse Joy saw Pikachu and gave a warm smile and told him to come and join them.
Soon all 3 of them were fast asleep.
But that dream Ash had was going to be a bit more than that and a lot more intense.
The next morning came and Ash was waking up and saw the sleeping Nurse Joy and Pikachu with him.
'I guess they saw me on the couch and wanted to make sure I was ok.' He thought.
He slowly got up and carefully moved Pikachu off of him and gently shook Nurse Joy to wake her up.
Nurse Joy groaned in her sleep and she slowly opened her eyes and saw Ash giving her a small smile.
"Morning Nurse Joy." He said to her.
She let out a yawn and stretched her arms out, before pulling Ash in for a hug.
"Are you ok?" she asked in a concerned voice.
She can see there's troubling clouds in Ash's eyes as he is still dealing with his nightmare he had last night.
"Yeah I'm fine Nurse Joy well I better get washed up." He said handing over Pikachu to her.
Ash then turned around and headed off to shower leaving Nurse Joy and a sleepy Pikachu behind.
'Looks like he's still grappling with his nightmares.' She thought as she went to take Pikachu to get a checkup.
In the showers Ash let the water washed over him, but the remnants of his dream kept plaguing him.
'Why, why did I have that dream? What does it mean?' he thought.
He then punched the wall in anger.
"Damn it!" he hissed.
Outside of the showers Dante was there and listened in and sensed that Ash had a rough night.
'So you had a vision and it was not pleasant.' Dante thought.
He remained quiet until Ash got out of the shower and then he went in to take his turn.
A little bit later, everyone had their showers and were having breakfast.
Ash decided to be like his usual self but the troubling thoughts he had were still weighing on his mind.
So as Ash was eating his breakfast, Dante decided to turn on the TV and see what's on.
It was the news channel and the reporter was saying that a dangerous group of Pokémon poachers had escape from the cops from Saffron city and taken their cargo of stolen Pokémon and fled, but not before injuring 6 people with their guns.
Many reactions were shown.
Brock had an angry look on his face, May and Max were shocked, but the ones who were fuming were Ash and Dante.
Dante had his share of Pokémon poachers and well one of them gave Dante his scar.
As for Ash when he saw the picture of the poachers he felt his blood boil with anger, they were like the ones from his dream and well his anger came shooting up the surface and then…
"DAMN THOSE POACHERS!"
Brock, May and Max looked at Ash in surprise and shock. They have never seen him act like this before, especially not this angry.
"Ash are you ok?" asked May in concern.
Then Ash's anger went away.
"Yeah I'm fine." He said wanting to avoid asking some questions.
May wanted to ask more questions, but Dante told her to leave him be for now as he has a lot on his mind.
Soon they finished breakfast and went to Nurse Joy to get their Pokémon.
But she wanted to have a word with Dante.
"What is it?" he asked.
"Dante I did a check on your Onix and well it's a bit worn out from all the traveling and so it needs to be resting for the time being." She said.
"Alright I understand and after that intense battle at the dojo I understand." He said picking up Onix's Pokéball.
"Everything ok?" Brock asked.
"Yes Brock but Onix will be benched from traveling with us for a while, I need to make a couple of calls, why not you and the others go plan out of where to go next." Dante told him as he left.
Dante went to one of the phones and made some calls.
(20 minutes later)
Dante came back to the group with some Pokémon he rotated.
"Ok I'm back, but Ash I think you should rotate your Pokémon unless you want Snorlax to eat your food again." Dante advised.
"Good point." Said Ash.
He then got up and went to call Professor Oak to rotate his team.
"So how are we getting to the Battle Dome?" asked Max.
"Well the closest way to it is get to Lavender Town and then head down to route 12 and it's there near the silent bridge." Said Dante going over the map.
"Ok." Said Max. "But why is it called the silent bridge?"
"Well it's called that because many fishermen like the fact it's calm and they can fish without a lot of noises bugging them." Dante explained.
"Oh." Said Max.
Soon Ash came back after doing a rotation of his team.
"Ok I'm ready to go." He said.
"Good, now since Onix is on break I called to make some other arrangements." Dantes says telling the others.
"Like what?" asked May.
Just then the sound of a helicopter was heard outside and they ran out to see what was happening.
They saw a helicopter hovering above them and it is lowering a big crate in front of them and then unhooked the crate and then took off.
"What's this?" asked Brock.
"Our transport to Lavender town." Said Dante.
He then kicked the crate and it started falling apart and inside of it was a stage wagon.
"I called in some friends of mine and they send this over and it's tricked out with some gears in it." Dante said.
"Like what?" ask Max.
"You'll find out." Said Dante.
"So since Onix is back at my home resting, I got another Pokémon to take us, come on out Tauros!" Dante says throwing the ball.
Out came Tauros but unlike the ones that Ash and the others have seen, Dante's Tauros was a bit bigger and has a lot of scars on its horns.
"This is my Tauros, I nicknamed him Diablo." Said Dante.
"Why is he nicknamed Diablo?" May asked.
"Well for one, he likes to go fast and two he does have one hell of a temper and 3 if anyone he doesn't trust tries to touch his horns without me giving the ok, he'll send them flying with a powerful iron head attack and 4 his ability is anger point." Explained Dante.
"Oh ok then." Said May.
Everyone got on the wagon as Dante went to get Diablo hooked up to the wagon.
Brock and Max got the first seats and Ash and May got the next row.
Soon Diablo was hooked up to the wagon and Dante got in the driver seat.
"Ok then is everyone ready to go?" says Dante.
"Yes." They said.
"Ok then, let's go Diablo HYAH!" Dante said.
Diablo bellowed and they were off.
They were headed towards Lavender town and then the battle dome, but unknown to them, they were about hit a very dangerous road block along the way.
Meanwhile…
in the woods between Silver town and Lavender town the Pokémon poachers from the news were holding up in a cabin, after giving the cops the slip and now they are celebrating their latest haul.
They have the Pokémon they captured and stolen in cages by their trucks and they looked, hurt, worried and sad.
The poachers that caught them were called the Dark Arbok and they were a notorious dangerous group, they have been in this twisted and cruel game for nearly 13 years and their home base was in Sinnoh, until a trainer named Dante and his friends shut them down and forced them on the run, they used to have over 50 members but now they were down to at least 15 and their leader, Garu the blade lead the remainder of their ground out of Sinnoh and into Kanto, they started up their business again and causing more trouble than ever before and now they were in the battle frontier territory.
"Well boss we managed to give the coppers the slip." Said one of the goons.
"Yeah and we managed to get a big haul." Said another one.
"We did, Tony, we did." Said Garu.
"So now what boss?" said another goon whose name was Bob.
"Well Bob we're going to rest for a bit before move our haul to the next location." Garu said.
"Ok still I wish we had the old gang back if it wasn't for that bastard Dante who shut us down." Bob growled.
Then Garu walked up to Bob and slapped him across the face hard.
"Don't you dare say that name!" Garu hissed in anger.
"But boss…" Bob stammered.
"I know, I know that fool was the reason our op in Sinnoh was destroyed and most of our men were captured 5 years ago, so we forced to flee and escape to Kanto, but since we start up our operation again, we're slowly regaining our power and forces." Garu said.
"So once we're back in full power we can defeat the one who screwed us?" said another goon whose name was Fox.
"Yes Fox, soon we'll have our revenge." Said Garu.
That made the other goon smirked evilly.
"Now then like I said, we must rest for a bit before we move out." Garu says.
Soon Garu and his goons had a few drinks before going down for a nap and they were out for a while.
( 1 hour later)
While Garu and his goons were napping quite a bit, some of the Pokémon they captured were planning to make a brake out and get help.
Two of them were a Male Shiny Scyther and a male Teddiursa.
They captured Scyther after chasing him through out most of the hills near Saffron City and using electro nets to capture and shock him, but not before giving Garu a slash scar across his chest.
As for Teddiursa his was a bit more tragic, he was living with his mother an Ursaring up in a forest near Celadon City a few weeks ago when Garu and the dark Arbok came in to collect them and the other Pokémon living in the forest.
They were able to catch a few of them and loaded them into their trucks but Teddiursa and Ursaring were trying to get away, but Garu send out his Rhydon to stop them.
Rhydon was able to cut off their escape route using rock slide and then cornering them, Ursaring growled angrily at them and gave Garu a nasty glare, who just smirked and scoffed.
Then Teddiursa attacked him with a swift attack since he wasn't looking.
That made Garu angry and order Rhydon to knock him out.
Rhydon charged towards Teddiursa and he tried to use Swift on Rhydon but the Drill Pokémon swung his tail and stuck Teddiursa and send it to the rocks knocking him out cold.
This angered the mother Ursaring and used ice punch on Rhydon to send him flying and then charged towards Garu with the intent to kill, Garu then did something that was very despicable and cruel.
As Ursaring came closer, Garu pulled out his gun and then…
(BANG!)
The Ursaring was shot in the shoulder and she clenched her wound in pain and snarled at Garu and then kept charging towards him, so Garu kept shooting and the Ursaring kept getting hit but she came close enough to use the last of her energy and use Fire Punch and hit Garu on the right side of his abdomen causing intense burning and leaving a nasty scar there.
Garu growled in pain and anger causing him to drop his gun and clenched his wounds, but before he can do anything else, the mother Ursaring fell to the ground and succumbing to her wounds.
Garu clenched his wounds as some of his goons arrived, he then told them to get the Teddiursa and get a doctor right away.
After they did, they were able to collect their haul and escape and then were spotted by Officer Jenny and the cops, but they managed to get away.
So Scyther and Teddiursa were a bit worn out but still had some energy left, so they decided to escape and get help.
Teddiursa' cage was meant to resist normal and fighting types attacks, but not fire, so Teddiursa used Fire Punch on the bars and melted them so he can get out and did the same thing with Scyther.
Then Scyther raised his blades and then used a lot of slash attacks to free the others.
They told the Pokémon to go and be free and don't look back and head back to their homes.
The other Pokémon nodded and quickly ran like hell and back to their homes as fast as they could.
Scyther let Teddiursa on his back and they took off looking for someone to help them.
(15 minutes later)
Bob was the first to wake up and decided to check on their quarry but when he went to the truck and cages, he found them opened and empty.
Then he decided to wake the others up.
"GUYS, BOSS! WAKE UP!" Bob shouted.
The other goons and Garu woke up with a groan.
"What is it Bob?" Garu growled.
"Boss! It's the Pokémon they're gone!" Bob shouted.
"WHAT?!" shouted everyone.
"You're joking Bob right?" said Tony.
"I'm not go outside and have a look." Bob said.
And they did and saw the empty and broken cages.
Garu was so pissed that he punched the cabin wall so hard, that he made a dent.
"Damn it! GOD FUCKING DAMN IT! WE MANAGED TO GET A LOT OF RARE AND POWERFUL POKÉMON AND SOMEHOW THEY MANAGED TO ESCAPE?! DAMN IT ALL!" Garu cursed.
"Hold on Boss!" said Tony. "it may be too late to get the Pokémon that are already far gone but we can track Scyther and Teddiursa and get them back."
Garu calmed down a bit and then smirked.
"Very well at least we can make a good profit on a shiny Scyther." He said.
Then Tony got out his Houndoom and have it pick up their scent and it did.
"Come on boys we got runaway prey to catch!" Garu said.
Garu and the others got into their trucks and followed Houndoom in search of their quarry.
'Looks like things are about to get ugly very fast.'
(With Ash and the others)
Ash and the others were making good time through the woods, Max and Brock were enjoying the sights and places as May was resting her head on Ash's shoulder and the egg in her lap and Pikachu in Ash's lap.
Dante had Diablo go at a steady pace and they were about in the denser part of the woods, about halfway through, but as they kept going, Pikachu heard something and his ears perked up.
"What is it Pikachu?" Ash asked.
Pikachu pointed at some bushes ahead of them and something was in it rustling.
They got closer to the bushes and Dante told Diablo to stop and then something came out of the bushes.
It was a Nidoran .
"Wow a Nidoran you don't see them out here often." Said Max.
"True." Said Dante. "But it's something of a surprise."
"Yeah and I wouldn't mind catching one." Said Ash getting up.
The Nidoran was looking around minding his surroundings and then he saw Ash.
"So Ash why not use one of you quick balls?" advised Dante.
"Good idea." Said Ash.
He then took out one of his Quick Balls and pressed the button to make it big.
"Ok then Quick Ball Go!" he said throwing it.
The ball hit Nidoran on the head and was turn into a red light and went in the ball and it went back to Ash's hand.
The ball shook and made a whirring noise for a few seconds before making a chime noise and the Pokémon was caught but the light was red on it.
"Alright I caught a Nidoran !" said Ash.
"Pi-Pikachu!" said Pikachu.
But then Ash noticed the red light on the ball meaning it was sealed since he has all 6 Pokémon with him.
"What happened?" asked May.
"When a trainer has 6 Pokémon and captures another then the ball is sealed until they can move the ones in their party for the new one." Brock explained.
"So I think I better send Nidoran to Professor Oak." Said Ash.
He then pulled out his Pokédex and then pressed a button and send the quick ball to Oak's Lab.
"Ok with that done let's continue." Dante says.
Just as they were about to take off they heard something coming from the sky.
"SCYTHER, SCYTHER SCY!"
They looked up and saw a Scyther and a Teddiursa coming towards them.
"What the devil is going on?" Max says.
Scyther landed in front of them and glared dangerously at them, the group dared not to move and then without warning Scyther fell to the ground with Teddiursa still on his back.
"Oh god!" May said in shock.
Scyther and Teddiursa looked beaten up and worn out.
Everyone got off the wagon and Brock did his Pokémon breeding job and check their conditions.
"What happened to them?" Ash asked.
"Pikachu." Pikachu wonders the same thing.
"We need to get them to a Pokémon center stat! they need medical attention!" Brock says.
"You're right Brock, but who could've done this to them?" May asked in a worried tone.
Dante brought out his Alakazam and have it search their minds and memories and send it to his mind.
Alakazam did so and when Dante saw the memories he was so pissed off, he felt his anger and power leaked and then with one punch he brought the tree to the ground.
"DAMN IT!" he hissed with anger and venom laced in his voice.
"What happened?" Max asked.
"Poachers, Pokémon poachers!" hissed Dante. "and not just any poachers it's the Dark Arbok."
"You mean like the ones on the news?" asked Ash.
"Yes and they're very dangerous." Said Dante.
Just then Alakazam sensed something.
"What is it?" Dante asked.
Alakazam closed its eyes and then used its powers to scan what was coming to them and it didn't like the results and send the info to Dante.
"Oh Shit." Dante said.
"What is it?" asked Ash.
"It's the Dark Arbok they're coming for Scyther and Teddiursa." Dante answered.
"How do you know them?" Brock asked.
"Long story, short answer I stopped their operations a long time ago in Sinnoh but I can explain later right now, we need to get these Pokémon to safety and call the cops." Said Dante.
Everyone loaded the Pokémon into the wagon.
"What do we do? They're coming." Said May.
"We're going to hold them off." Said Dante.
"Max you get in the wagon, you turn around and head back to the Pokémon center and tell Nurse Joy to call the cops and send them to us quickly as you can." Dante told them.
"Diablo do as Max says ok?" Dante added.
Diablo nodded.
Max then got in the driver's spot and picked up the reins.
"Don't worry I'll get them to safety." Said Max.
"Good and don't worry we'll try to hold them off, now get going Max!" says Dante.
"Right come on Diablo let's go, HYAH!" Max said doing a whip motion with the reins.
Diablo bellowed and they turned around and headed back to the Pokémon center quickly.
"So Dante why didn't you had Alakazam to teleport them back?" Ash asked.
"Because we need all the help we're going to get Ash and besides I don't want Max to get caught in the crossfire." Dante said ominously.
"Ash, Dante is right and besides I believe we're about to have company." Said Brock.
Brock was right, cause up ahead was the Dark Arbok and they were coming.
"Get ready guys, cause all hell is about to break loose." Dante said.
Everyone nodded and took their stances.
With Max heading towards the Pokémon center quickly, he hopes that the others will be okay.
'looks like ours heroes are about encounter some dangerous people and their leader as well, but what does Ash's dream mean for what is going to happen? Tempers flared and power soon to awaken again and what does the Dark Arbok have to do with Dante? Find out next time.'

Ok that ends this chapter and holy crap it's been a while since I did 4k words for a while.
Now then as I said at the beginning Ash catches a Nidoran , but I didn't say he would battle to catch him and plus I thought it would be nice to use a Quick ball for the first time.
Now in the next chapter Ash will get Teddiursa and Scyther but only after the poachers are defeated.
Also I did say that this chapter and the next one will be in dark toned territory, I only got my feet in those waters and soon it'll be up to my knees as I go.
But I won't do dark toned chapters as much, only if the situation calls for it.
Also I do have a poll on regarding of where should Ash take May on their date for ch31, the poll ends on 6/21 so if you want to choose where Ash should take May, now's your chance.
Also ch30 of this story will be in the works for a while.
Now then there are announcements to make.
So as I said ch30 will be in the works for a while.
Also I have decided to place where the new one shot stories will go, the Futurama one will go to Ao3 and the Zelda one on .
Also the next 4 chapters I am going to work on are, Cody's harem the final story part 2 with Cody x Heather, then MHA watches death battle season 1 ch16, my marvel academia ch4 and then my alien academia ch15.
But first I need to finish Deku's Date dilemma ch5 first.
Now then I will also have a new poll after I get 3 chapters done and it does involve the special mastermind of mirage Pokémon.
So once this chapter is uploaded this story we'll have over 100,000 words altogether.
I might do another one shot story related to this one, but involves Tracey.
But we'll have to wait and see.
Now I wanted to continued on this chapter but had to split it in 2 parts, cause it would've been a big drain if I did go up to 8k words but 4k it's a bit of a drainer but it's a bit easier to do.
Now then one last thing, in ch31 Ash would have an encounter with Giovanni.
Ok that's it for now as I need to rest and then finish the other chapter I am working on.
