Chapter 20: Could things get any worse? NEVER SAY THAT!

Klaxon open fired on Sonic with all the weapons he had the hedgehog ducked behind a rock just before the barrage of various weapon ammo types hit the spot where he was previous standing.

"{D}Would you give me five seconds to explain?!" yelled Sonic behind his cover, which was quickly being obliterated by the hailstorm of bullets, missiles, lasers, etc.

"Time's up!" yelled Klaxon as he continued to fire before TD slapped him and a "TILT" sign popped out of Klaxon's chest and he fell backwards, frozen. The gunfire stops upon Klaxon hitting the ground.

Sonic nervously pokes his head out behind his cover and sighs upon seeing Klaxon down.

"Explain yourself." said TD crossing his arms as his fur stood on end at seeing Sonic like this.

"{D}Apparently, I died from drowning but something brought me back...looking like this. I went to Knothole to see if I could find anything out, only to get shot at by these guards and then Tails...I can't believe what Antoine did to him...he attacked me and I had to run for it. I ran as fast as could and I lost him after ten miles. I always teased Antoine for fun and never thought he'd go this bad but...I want to kill him. I want to put his head on a silver platter and feed it to the nastiest predator on Mobius, while watching." said Sonic.

"Are you serious?" said TD in disbelief and Sonic nods, "Wow. Antoine really went too far."

Klaxon unfreezes and sits up.

"Sorry about attacking you Sonic. You just reminded me of an alternate version of yourself that looks exactly like you do now, only he's evil. Now then, what do we do? Seriously, there's not only Robotnik to deal with but now a crazy Antoine, what do we do?" said Klaxon.

"No idea. We can't exactly fight Knothole because then we'd be killing allies and that would weaken the resistance against Robotnik." said TD sitting down on a rock, head in his hands.

The sound of a hovership approaching sent the three on edge before they saw it to be Eggman with Shade flying towards them. The hovership lands and the two get out.

"Okay, make that five against Knothole." said Klaxon.

"Nice look Fak...er, Sonic. What'd you do? Go to the graveyard?" said Shade.

"{D}Actually I drowned thank you very much." snapped Sonic.

"Oops. My bad..."

"Well, what's the worse that can happen now that there's a reformed mad scientist, a reformed emo hedgehog, an undead hedgehog, a living fox doll, and a dragon with the status of an entity?" said TD.

"WHAT DO I KEEP TELLING PEOPLE?! NEVER SAY 'WHAT'S THE W-O-R-S-E THAT COULD HAPPEN?'!" yelled Klaxon pulling on his hair before a loud crackling noise is heard and the sky is seen with cracks forming in it before a small region collapses in on itself, revealing black void and a figure comes flying out of it and lands hard face-first in the dirt.

The figure gets up unsteadily and looks at the five with the one visible eye through his mask which looks odd due to the fact that it has a respirator-like part but looks nothing like an optical mask or gas mask. The figure appears bald because the mask's straps are visible on his head and the figure is shirtless and well built with a few scars on his chest. He's wearing orange pants with boots with some metal visible on said boots. He has bandages wrapped around one of his arms and the other has a weird metal brace with bolt-like parts sticking out of the brace.

"Meat...bicycle..." mutters the figure before he passes out and hits the ground, dropping a large melee weapon with a round saw-blade at the tip of it.

"SEE?! THAT'S WHY YOU DON'T SAY THAT PHRASE! BECAUSE SOMETHING WORSE ALWAYS HAPPENS!" yells Klaxon pointing at the collapsed figure.

"And people say I have anger issues." muttered Shade under his breath.

"Well, nobody listens to me." said Klaxon crossing his arms across his chest and pouting.

"How old are you?" said TD.

"5,920."

"Shouldn't you be acting your age?"

"No."

"Well, what's wrong with whoever that is being here?"

"What's wrong? What's wrong with him being here?! The multi-verse is slowly combining into one huge mess and once its all over, I have to send everyone back to their own universes and frankly...that's a ton of work due to how bad everything is getting! I'm ready to just call it quits but that's not in my nature so I have to deal with this mess and by myself no less! Alright, let's quit talking about the dimensional barriers falling apart."

"You're a bit more mature than when you were here last time." said Eggman.

"I am?" said Klaxon before he started hitting himself on the head with a mallet and pulling out his tongue, "That's because I'm a nervous wreck."

Klaxon then overdramatically falls onto his back and closes his eyes.

"Wake me up when our guest comes to and be careful about him. He talked like a lunatic...or an insane psychopath, whichever sounds better. Goodnight." said Klaxon before he slipped into unconsciousness.

"{D}I think he's actually a nervous wreck. Was he like this last time?" said Sonic.

TD, Shade, Eggman: "No."

"{D}Thought not. Alright, let's tie up the guy in the mask."

The four tie the figure up and set him against a tree stump before setting up a fire for the night and have nothing to do...but wait.

After only five seconds, Sonic starts tapping his foot impatiently.

"WOULD YOU QUIT THAT FAKER?!" yelled Shade losing his temper.

"{D}Sorry, force of habit." replied Sonic stopping before he started tapping his fingers on a nearby boulder impatiently and Shade preceded to bash Sonic's face into the boulder repeatedly.
