Chapter 37: Mama Robotnik vs. Eggman, two bears, two dumb bots and a nightmare
Ruins of Robotropolis...
Eggman finishes the final touch of upgrading his egg-mobile, as he was going to need to help him deal with his mother. He stepped back to get a good look at it and he nods sharply before the door to the place bursts open and Scratch and Grounder crash to the floor, trying to fight each other getting up.
"Took you two long enough. Anything to report?" said Eggman as he walked back over to the hovercraft.
"Uh, yeah, Momma Robotnik's on her way here." said Scratch as he finally got to his feet.
"She was targetting Knothole with one of those old Super laser guns with a scope but then she changed targets." said Grounder as he fixed his bent nose.
"So, she was looking for me. The fact she used a scope to single me out says she's REALLY pissed. Usually she just trashes any town in her path. Hmmm. Get ready you two!" said Eggman as he activated the hovercraft.
"What are we supposed to do?" asked Scratch as he thought on how to fight Momma Robotnik.
"Easy. YOU TWO ARE CANNON FODDER!"
"Oh. Yeah, that makes sense."
The ground began to shake, throwing Scratch off balance. Eggman flies out of the central tower, leaving the two old bots alone and judging by how the shaking and the sound of stomping footsteps is getting heavier and closer, respectively, Momma Robotnik is very close.
"We're gonna get trashed aren't we?" asked Grounder as he switched his drills out for ray emitters.
"Considering how old we are and that we're going against Momma Robotnik, I'd say yes." replied Scratched as he used a nearby wall to steady himself.
The door to the room is suddenly forced apart by Momma Robotnik herself entering the room.
"Where is he?! Where is that rotten do-gooder son of mine?!" snarled Momma Robotnik as she towered over the two bots before her.
"Isn't he dead?" said Grounder before getting an umbrella whack to the head.
"Don't get smart with me you dumb bots! I know Eggman is him from the future! Now, where is he?!"
"Even if we knew, we wouldn't tell you." said Scratch crossing his arms.
"Then I'll just have to make you tell me."
"And even if we did tell you, you would have probably reduced us to scrap anyway."
"You're right, I would have!"
Momma Robotnik swings her umbrella at Scratch but the chicken robot ducks under it causing Momma Robotnik to lose her balance due to not expecting the dodge. Scratch then has a bubblegum bomb pop out of his wrist and he catches it before throwing it at her.
"Stick around for awhile!" said Scratch as the bomb exploded on Momma Robotnik, coating her in super thick and sticky pink bubblegum.
"My dress! You'll pay for that you hunk of scrap!" snarled Momma Robotnik as she worked on escaping the bubblegum mess.
"You'll have to catch us first!" replied Scratch before he jumped out of the nearby window.
"Uh...what Scratch said!" said Grounder before heturned around and jumped out the same window.
Momma Robotnik's face turns a bright red with rage and she clenches her teeth so hard they crack. The heat from her anger red face also solidifies the bubblegum, allowing her to break free.
"GET BACK HERE!" yelled Mama Robotnik as she stomped towards the window and saw the two flying away. Grounder having his drill arms turned into copter blade arms with Scratch holding onto his treads.
"Oh boy. We made her mad." said Grounder as he flew.
"That was the plan bolt-brain. Now step on the gas so we can beat her to the trap location!" said Scratch.
"Which gas?"
"Your propellers needle nose!"
"I don't have a needle nose!"
"Just shut up and fly faster!"
Grounder activates overdrive...and flies the both of them into the same billboard that Eggman flew into flying into the city.
"NOT THAT FAST!"
"WOULD YOU STOP BACKSEAT DRIVING! Er, FLYING!"
"I'LL STOP BACKSEAT FLYING WHEN YOU CAN ACTUALLY FLY DECENTLY!"
The two argue the whole way to the location where Eggman has setup a trap for his mother who easily follows the two arguing robots. Eventually, the two crash, two feet from Eggman who shows no reaction to the two's crash or bickering.
"THERE YOU ARE! WHAT'S THE IDEA OF TURNING GOOD?!" yelled Mama Robotnik as she stormed into the area.
"You know, that would be my conscious getting the best of me after a horrible plan I completely forgot about was carried out in my future." said Eggman as he held a small teddy bear in his arms.
"You mean the one where Tails is secretly a biomechanical infiltration unit?"
"Exactly. Honestly, I'm surprised you figured that out so easily. Honestly, how'd you even know?"
"In my first escape, I looked over all of your plans when you weren't looking. That one was so devious, I was secretly proud of you BUT NOW I'M DISGUSTED WITH YOU!"
"Oh, like you're disgusted with my brother Doctor Goodnik?"
"AT LEAST HE'S EARNING A STABLE INCOME!"
"Oh please, you never liked me. Or brother Locknik. Or sister Hilganik. Or brother Radioactivenik. Honestly, I think you hated all of us but you clearly have no issues with nephews or cousins."
"Except that crazy bastard Warpnik!"
"Yes, it seems nobody likes cousin Warpnik. Yet, here you are, free of the Warp of Confusion and chewing me out for making my own decisions with life, as usual. Well mama, I'll be sure to send you back to the home in chains this time."
"Oh yeah? You and what army?"
"Mama, meet Fuzzy Wuzzy, 2.0!"
Eggman throws the teddy bear he's holding and the teddy bear suddenly transforms into a twelve foot two-headed monster bear covered in heavy titanium armor that doesn't at all weigh the behemoth of a bear down.
"That toy again? You still carry it around?" snarled Mama Robotnik as she glared at the bear standing in front of her.
"Yes. Although, unlike his original design, I removed his vulnerability to electricity and your ability to control it since you got him hurt last time. Also, while I was away from my future, he somehow made some new friends." said Eggman calmly.
"You expect me to believe that a dumb toy made friends?"
"Oh, I do indeed. Considering how my poorly conducted time travel created a space time ripple that has effected this timeline and the original timeline, you should very much believe that a "dumb toy" can make friends. Just do me one favor."
"And what's that?"
"Don't hurt the three. THEIR mother will kill me if I bring them home hurt."
"What? What does that mean?!" yelled Mama Robotnik confused about that before she heard buzzing behind her and she quickly looked behind her only to see nothing there but when she looks back at Eggman and Fuzzy Wuzzy, she sees three brown teddy bears with razor teeth sitting on Fuzzy Wuzzy's shoulders.
"Mama, meet Fuzzy's friends. Fred, Faz and Bear." said Eggman as he crossed his arms.
"Am I supposed to be scared of three little teddy bears with crocodile teeth?"
"No, you're supposed to be afraid of the two bears about to fight you. Also, the three's cousin."
"Two bears? I only see one two-headed freak of a bear!"
Fuzzy Wuzzy suddenly began sniffing as both heads gained watery eyes before he begins crying at being called a freak. The three on his shoulders growl at Mama Robotnik before they jump off the larger two-headed bear's shoulders and disappear in a flash of brown light to be replaced by a bear that comes up to Fuzzy Wuzzy's stomach. This second bear has brown fear, a tan belly and two additional mouths; one on the chest and one on the stomach.
"THAT'S the second bear?! It's a shrimp!" yelled Mama Robotnik.
"At least we don't look like a man in a dress." said the combined Fred, Faz and Bear and Mama Robotnik turns a bright angry red in the face as steam escapes from her ears before she swings her umbrella at the smaller bear, clonking them on the head with the deadly weapon.
"HOW DARE YOU INSULT A LADY!" yelled Mama Robotnik in pure rage.
The hit to the head also caused the trio to revert to their normal forms and they hit the ground dazed. Mama Robotnik raises a one of her high heeled shoes to stomp on one of the defenseless brown teddies but gets backhanded away sending her flying away. The large grey furred two-headed bear grabs the three brown bears and holds them defensively.
"Meanie no hurt Fuzzy's friends!" snarled the two headed bear as it glared at her angrily.
Mama Robotnik recovers from her unexpected flight and gets back to her feet, dusting off her dress and adjusting her hat.
"Alright, I'll give the two-headed freak of a toy some credit since it can hit as hard as I can. But is this really all you've got to fight me? A mutant toy and three midgets?" asked Mama Robotnik as she glared at Eggman.
"He's got us." said Scratch as he put one of his arms back into its place causing Mama Robotnik to burst out laughing.
"Hey! That's not nice! We might have issues but we're classics!" said Grounder as he put his head back on.
"You two are more useless than the Badniks your creator made to fight that spiny blue hedgehog." said Mama Robotnik at the two robots causing their faces to fall.
"Oh, they were useless to fight Sonic but you? Oh they've proven they can fight you." said Eggman as he put a hand on the two bots' shoulders.
"You mean, we're not useless?" asked Scratch looking at Eggman.
"For fighting Sonic? Yes, you are useless. For fighting, and clearly pissing off my mother? Oh, you are FAR from useless."
The two robots look at each other and gain happy expressions before their expressions change to serious ones and they glare at Mama Robotnik. Grounder has his drills retract and replaces them with laser cannons as Scratch brings out another Bubblegum bomb, unlit for now.
"Oh, by the way, remember how I said beware of the Fred, Faz and Bear's cousin?" said Eggman gaining a thoughtful expression.
"Yes I remember that. Why? What does it matter?" snarled Mama Robotnik as she pressed a button on the handle of her umbrella, turning it into a umbrella laser cannon/spiked club combo.
"Because their cousin is always with them and I believe you just pissed him off."
"Oh yeah? And where is he?"
Mama Robotnik's expression of anger turns to a look of surprise as a distorted blaring alarm clock is heard behind her and she looks and finds a large black-furred fox with a red eye glaring down at her. It's jaws being wide open, revealing razor sharp teeth (some of which are gold). It swings its metal tri-claw at her which she barely dodges.
"Right behind you." said Eggman as he pulled out a laser pistol and set it from "atomize" to "stun" and then pointed it at his mother, "Please make this easy and give up."
"A Robotnik NEVER gives up!" snarled Mama Robotnik, regaining her composure as she readied her weaponized umbrella and (secretly steel-lined) purse.
"I knew that was coming. Oh well."
Fuzzy Wuzzy set the three brown bears down who recombined and got ready to fight Mama Robotnik as the evil mother glared at six opponents facing her down, her eyes quickly looking each opponent over carefully. She dodges the cutlass swung at her from the black red-eyed fox before firing her umbrella's laser cannon at Eggman which was blocked by Scratch taking the hit. She then swung her purse and caught one of Fuzzy Wuzzy's head with it, stunning both with the hit. She then dodges the lasers fired at her by Grounder and fires her umbrella's laser at Grounder, causing the drill bot to retract his head into his torso to avoid the laser beam.
"Ha! You missed!" said Grounder before he got smacked on the head by the club part of the weaponized umbrella, "Me and my big mouth."
