Author's notes: Nothing new. Aside from the following: yay! A chapter that didn't take six or so months to make because this one was so easy to focus on!
Chapter 42
Concrete Hill, formerly known as Green Hill...
A dark blue bolt of lightning crashes down near a lone and very sickly palm tree and a figure appears from the smoke. The figure looks like Sonic but the noticeable differences being his sneakers are red and gold while his right eye has two knuckle-spike scars going through rendering it useless and his left eye, while green in coloration is half blind. He looks around calmly at the heavily industrialized Green Hill zone.
"Well, this isn't fun. Seems this world lost Green Hill." said the Sonic, folding his arms as he closed his one eye to think. His ears twitch and he bends backward and avoids the haymaker from Infinite whose arms and legs were now fully cybernetic. He then stands straight up again and looks at Infinite, "Oh. A Jackal. Haven't seen one of you in a long time."
"Who are you? You're not Sonic." said Infinite as he cautiously circled the seventy-five percent blind hedgehog that had just dodged his attack.
"I'm Sonic, just another world's version." said the Sonic as he stretched.
"Great. Another world interferring."
"Nope! Just me one-eye!"
The Sonic goes for a spin-dash which Infinite easily avoids. Upon missing, the Sonic quickly uncurls and skids across the ground and quickly takes Infinite's legs out from under him with a quick leg sweep catching the cybernetic Jackal off guard for a split second before he recovers and lands quickly to get back to his feet and swings his claws at the hedgehog yet said hedgehog easily avoids every swipe despite his near blindness.
"Come on! Surely you can do better than that!" said the Sonic before drop-kicking Infinite in the chest, staggering him, while the Sonic landed on his back and quickly rolled back to his feet. The Sonic then charged Infinite and delivered a harsh right hook to the Jackal's newly armored face, staggering him again. Infinite growled and had a Napalm Flamethrower pop out of his wrist and he fired a stream of the napalm-ehanced fire at the hedgehog but the hedgehog quickly avoided it, back-flipping out of range of it before landing on a power generator designed to mimic the shape and size of a rock and rubbing his nose.
"Is that the best you can do? Get serious!" said the Sonic as he crossed his arms and smirked, barely revealing his red teeth and green gums as he did so.
Infinite narrowed his eye as he had the Napalm flamer retract back into his wrist and replaced it with quad-barreled laser wrist-mounted blaster and pointed it at the Sonic.
"You're not an actual Sonic." growled Infinite, his patience growing thin. Shadows suddenly seem to hide the Sonic's worthless eye and half-blind eye and he smiles lightly, revealing his teeth are designed like that of a T-Rex's.
"Are you sure you want to play this game?" asked the Sonic calmly.
"Yes. What are you?"

The sound of a jaw being dislocated is heard as the Sonic's lower jaw suddenly distends massively to form a huge ear-splitting grin, revealing that his lower jaw's teeth are much longer than his upper jaw's teeth with the lips peeling back to reveal the lower gums. Four horns erupt from the top of his head, with said horns curving back along his head and then rising upward. He also changes height until he's nine feet tall and his arms enlongate until they drag across the ground while also gainging a hunched over posture. His fur and quills turn a much darker shade of blue, almost mirroring Dark Sonic's coloration. He closes his left eye and then reopens it, revealing a black void until a demonic red eye appears within it followed by another...and another and another until there's thirty demonic red eyes within it.
"You're going to be sorry." said the figure calmly.
"What are you?" said Infinite, actually taken aback at this change until he feels a pain in his chest and he looks down and sees the figure holding his heart in his claws. Said figure standing behind him. The world distorts a moment and Infinite holds his chest in shock at what he just experienced.
"Me? I am...Slothic." said Slothic calmly before looking at the readers, "Where you expecting the cliche? Sorry, that one doesn't fit me."
"Who are you talking to?" growled Infinite as he recovered.
"Nobody of importance to you Jackal." said Slothic as he returned his attention back to the cyborg in front of him.
Infinite growls and goes to activate the Phantom Ruby before he finds that it's not activating. He looks at his chest and finds the ruby is gone. His eye widens before he hears chuckling off to his left and he quickly turns and sees Slothic holding the ruby up to his eyes, looking it over like a jeweler inspecting a gem.
"Such an interesting bauble." said Slothic nonchalantly before crushing it with ease in his hand, "But that's all it is to me. A bauble."
The world distorts again and the Phantom Ruby is back in one piece and back on Infinite's chest. He looks and finds Slothic is back on the rock, still smiling down at him as the demonic eyes stare into his soul. Infinite takes a step back, actually feeling fear against this...creature.
"You're nothing compared to Metallix back home." mused Slothic as he rubbed his chin, "But I'm not the hero of this story. I could defeat you, but then I'd be denying this world the victory that they need. So, why don't you run along?"
Infinite regains his senses and points the blaster at Slothic and begins charging it.
"Need some encouragement? Very well then. Fire when ready." said Slothic as he put on a blindfold and put his arms behind his back.
Infinite open fired on the monster disguised as a hedgehog, the laser bolts burning said monster's skin, quills and fur but when the current charge ran out and Infinite was forced to reload the blaster, the injuries heal as hellfire burns the wounds shut. Infinite's breathing gets stuck in his throat as he actually can't deal with this entity. The figure suddenly appears in front of him, the eyes looking him dead in the eye. The blindfold resting on Slothic's left eyebrow now.
"Better start running Jackal. You're wasting my time and my time is important." said Slothic still smiling as he fully removed the blindfold.

Infinite backs up before he takes off as a black and white blur, moving quickly away from Slothic. The monster watches him leave, the demonic eyes seeing Infinite's blackened soul quickly disappear into the distance. He then shifts back into his Sonic form but keeps the demonic eyes out and he begins looking around until he sees a very distant orange glow from a soul.
"Ooooooh. You have a soul now? I've missed some things haven't I? Well, I've got time. The admin didn't say how quick I had to be with finding the source blocking him. I can pay my old friend a visit and then deal with the Zone Admin blocker. Whatever that may be." said Slothic as he had his demonic eyes disappear and replace it with his normal half-blind eye. He stretched a moment before he zoomed off towards the location of the orange soul he saw as a blue blur. Unaware of a figure watching him.
"Oh joy. A monster of a Sonic." said the evil dull blue/grey Sonic as he had watched Infinite be made a joke by the newly arrived fake Sonic.
"And you're not good at hiding." said Slothic from behind the evil hegehog causing the serrated quilled hedgehog to jump and go for a spin-kick aimed at Slothic's head only for him to block it with ease.
"How are you able to see anything?! You've only got one eye and it's half blind!" said the evil hedgehog in shock at his attack being blocked by the seventy-five percent blind hedgehog.
"I made up for it with my other senses." said Slothic as he let go of the leg, "And you're a long way from home."
"How do you know that?" said the evil hedgehog taking a step back, trying to hide his building fear of this fake Sonic.
"I can just tell you don't belong here. An evil Sonic that isn't Scourge? Clearly not of this world."
"Hey, my monitor got launched into space! I can't control where it lands!"
"Oooooooh! You're an extra life!"
"Don't call me that!" snarled the evil hedgehog as he grabbed Slothic by the throat and he only laughs.
"Oh, you don't like being an extra life? Well, what are you doing out of your monitor?"
The evil hedgehog lets go of Slothic's neck and backs up.
"That's none of your business! I'm trying to figure out what to do." snarled "Extra Life" as he crossed his arms angrily.
"Someone's holding it hostage and if it is destroyed, you die with it, correct?"
"How do you know that?"
"Experience."
"Wait, your world has versions of me in it?"
Slothic laughs a moment.
"No. I have experiences with extra life monitors. So advanced yet so delicate." said Slothic calmly before turning away, "Well, good luck with your plans. I'm sure you'll figure something out. By the way, spy drone behind that metal palm tree behind you."
Slothic took off again as "Extra" quickly ran behind the metal palm tree Slothic had pointed out and destroyed the robotic spy drone before it could send any information back to its master. He picked up a piece of the broken drone and noticed that the symbol was a pair of sunglasses with a green lightning bolt behind it. He growled as he threw the broken piece to the ground and took off in the opposite direction Slothic had ran.

"Awww, the chapter's over already? But it was so short! Oh well, it was my debute chapter. This is gonna be fun."

I own Slothic. Making a Sonicdotexe (spelled it that way because Fanfic doesn't like periods and no spaces between words for me) variant is very difficult. Even more so when you want to go inverse of the formula. How do you go inverse with a SonicEXE (alternate spelling to avoid Fanfic being stupid again with periods and no words)? By making them not evil. How is Slothic not evil? That'll be explained later.
Slothic was made after I decided to follow along with making this world's stability degrade more and more. Slothic's presence won't have an impact on its stability...but Solaris/Mephiles' plans will!
Do I have a happy ending or a nightmare ending planned for this story? Yes.
"Extra Life" is from the "Fleetway Sonic" comic series which I am unaware of what that belongs to, but that belongs to its respectful owners.
However, any and all canon Sonic characters have been changed and/or modified for this fan story so nothing follows canon beyond minor fragments mentioning canon lore. This is also a FAN-MADE FAN STORY.
