Chapter 45
Concrete Hill...
A bright blue lightning bolt streaks down from the sky and strikes down near Slothic and the other three creating a large smoke cloud. When it clears, a blue hedgehog wearing gold and red armor and two gauntlets of the same coloring is standing there. Their face has a massive ear-splitting grin while their eyes look black and empty but are filled with an odd look of joy. Beneath their nose is a gag moustache that still has the price tag attached to one of the ends.
"{In Japanese}Good Morning Mobious!" said the figure but in a language alien to Mobious. (1)
"Hey, Admin. Your translator's off!" said Slothic tapping his foot.
The figure looks at one of their gauntlets, revealing an oversized translator installed into it with it currently being set for "Japanese". He turns the dial until it is set for "English".
"Testing. Testing. Did I set this right?" asked the figure speaking a voice sounding like that of Sonic mixed with an overly joyful car salseman, or an overly joyful weasel of a salesman.
"Yeah, it's right." said Slothic.
"Great! Got that fixed quickly. I could swear I set it for that before I loaded in. Anyway, I see you caught Scourge."
Scourge is still on the ground, holding his eyes in pain.
"Flashbang to the eyes. Ouch."
"He did it to me first." said Slothic as he kicked Scourge in the back lightly.
"You're half blind when those other eyes aren't active. It's completely understandable. Alright, boys, take him away!"
Slothic, Frenzy and Ravager look around confused.
"Wait, us?" said Frenzy and the figure laughs.
"Oh, no no no! I was referring to the other 'me's."
"What?" say the three confused.
From behind the gold and red armored figure, three others looking perfectly identical to him walk into view minus the armor and moustache and looking more like Sonic, aside from being completely blue in coloration. The trio wave.
"Wait, you can clone yourself?" asked Slothic.
"Yep! Best way to avoid death as a Zone Admin! And before anyone asks aren't they alternates of you, no, they are clones of me. And before anyone asks, there's ALWAYS going to be an alternate Majin SOMEWHERE in the Sonic fandom! No Majin is ever the same! Name included! Where's the fun in that?" said the figure as he twirled his gag moustache.
"Who are you talking to?"
"Wait. You know about the readers but you don't know what a fourth wall break is?"
Slothic shakes his head.
"Wow. Well, sorry I don't have time to explain. I've got a very serious threat to take care of before this world ceases to exist due to instability." said the figure.
"So, not going to say your name?"
"Nope! That's for those of this world! Besides, you know me already Slothic!"
"I only know you're this multiverse's Admin."
"And that's good enough! I'll explain later! I'm off!" said the Zone Admin as he threw down a spring and then jumped on it, mirroring Sonic's pose, before being launched into the air and turning into a blue, red and gold blur.
The three clones clamp a collar around Scourge's neck before they teleport away with the hedgehog.
"Now what?" asked Frenzy to Slothic.
"Now, we stay and help out." said Slothic as he turned and began walking towards Knothole.
However, as the four leave, Scourge decloaks and chuckles as he turns and leaves the area.
Knothole...
TD is sitting under a tree by himself, looking at his bandaged hand which has some small blood stains. He shifts into his doll form and the injury is gone before shifting back into his Mobian form and the injury is back.
"Why is one form healed and the other isn't?" muttered TD to himself before he got up and went to go find Tails, or Eggman, before his ears twitched and he dived out of the way of a spin-dash attack aimed at him. The attacker quickly uncurls and skids to a halt, revealing Sonic but there's something wrong with him. Sonic's movement isn't as quick as it usually is and his eyes have black bloodshot veins in them. TD gets up as quickly as he can but then gets tackled by Sonic and slammed into a nearby tree with an elbow pinned against his neck. TD struggles against the elbow pinning him in place even as he's choked, his gem turning yellow in fear. His vision begins to fade before he extends his claws and swipes at Sonic's face, staggering the hedgehog and causing him to be released. He stumbles away holding his throat while coughing as he chokingly inhales oxygen. Sonic turns towards him, three small cuts across his face. He advances towards TD and grabs a nearby wooden plank that was left nearby due to all of the reconstruction going on. TD noticed him, but too late, as he got the wooden plank smashed against his face sending him to the ground. TD slowly got up to at least his knees before spitting out a tooth and some blood.
'Why can't I fight?! He's not himself and he's trying to kill me!' thought TD as he tried to get back to his feet only to get grabbed by the gem rod and he couldn't help but yell in pain as Sonic dragged him across the ground. Sonic drags TD over to an open tool box and digs through it with one hand while holding the Doll-turned-Mobian's gem rod with the other. After a bit, he pulls out a hammer and then pins the gem to the ground. TD's eyes widen at seeing his gem threatened and his gem is a very bright yellow from fear.
"Sonic! Stop!" cried TD as he tried to struggle but found the pain to be too much. Sonic raises the hammer to bring it down on the gem.
"I said STOP!" yelled TD as the gem discharges a burst of red-pink lightning that arcs onto Sonic and the shock causes Sonic to let him go. TD quickly scrambles to get away, stumbling as he does so. He hears Sonic drop the hammer and he turns and looks and sees Sonic with horrified eyes with the veins being gone and looking at his hands in horror at what he had almost done. That's when TD sees it; a bit of metal sticking out below Sonic's right ear. Had that stored lightning discharge short-circuited something? Sonic goes to say something before the veins return and his eyes become emotionless again.
"Okay, definitely mind control then!" said TD as he shifted into his doll form to protect himself and he teleported away, or at least out of sight of the hedgehog for now. He heard footsteps and he looked and realized it was the others. They must have heard him yell. He flew in that direction.
As the group he had heard comes into view, he sees Tails and Bunnie.
"What was that yelling?" asked Tails as he noticed TD in doll form and instantly transformed his arm into a plasma cannon.
"It's...it's Sonic." said TD looking around.
"What?" asked both Tails and Bunnie in shock.
"Something's wrong. He tried to destroy my gem!"
"Are you sure it was Sonic?"
"Yes! Speed and everything, but his eyes have black veins in them!"
"That's...odd..."
"Look out!" yelled Bunnie as she pushed the two out of the way and used her robotic arm to block the spin-dash aimed at the two foxes. Her metallic hand sparks as it grinds against the spin-dash, trying to slow it down before she throws the spin-dashing hedgehog into a tree. She grabs her robotic hand as it splits in two, "Well, that's not good..."
The hedgehog walks back into view and Tails points the plasma cannon at Sonic. His arm begins to shake as he glares at the emotionless hedgehog.
"Don't you think you might be jumping to the final desperate measure with this?" came a voice and Tails quickly points the plasma cannon at the voice's owner and sees a red and gold armored figure sitting in a tree, "If I was a different Zone Admin, I'd have to write you up a fine for pointing a lethal weapon at a Zone Admin."
"W-what?" said Tails completely confused. The figure jumps out of the tree and lands next to Tails before wrapping an arm around him.
"I'm joking! I'm just trying to lighten the mood, despite what's going on. Admin_Fun, or just Admin Fun, at your service!"
"Admin?"
"I'm a Zone Admin! I patrol zones under my jurisdiction to ensure they remain operational and have threats that they can largely deal with themselves."
"Wait, how come it took you this long to get here?!"
"I had to deal with a nuclear extinction of another zone caused by an alternate YOU." replied Admin Fun as he poked Tails in the chest.
"An alternate...oh. HIM." said Tails before his expression darkened.
"So...some lingering memories eh? Ah well, they're harmless. I'm here now and you've got a really bad mess. Now, let's see if I can get you your Sonic back." said Admin Fun as he walked towards Sonic, cracking his knuckles while stretching his arms. On his other gauntlet he set the gauntlet's laser discharge system to stun before he took aim at Sonic before throwing a gold ring-like collar at Sonic only for the hedgehog to duck under it and the collar clamps down around Mayhem's neck as he had been sneaking up behind Sonic.
"SERIOUSLY?! yelled Mayhem as the world distortion around him fizzled out.
"Whoops! My bad!" said Admin Fun shrugging before he got a spin-kick to the face from Sonic, staggering him, "Ow!"
He recovers and blocks a punch only to get his feet taken out from under him. He hits the ground hard but quickly rolls back to his feet. He fires the laser gauntlet at Sonic but the hedgehog dodges all three shots which hit Mayhem instead.
"STOP SHOOTING ME!" yelled Mayhem as he tried to rip off the collar that was now neutralizing his abilities.
"Oh for crying...GET TO COVER!" yelled Admin Fun back before he got hit with a spin-dash to the face, staggering him. A cracking sound is heard and a visible crack forms down roughly half of Admin Fun's face. He recovers and runs a hand over the damage, "Well shit. He's doing some serious damage."
He shifts his focus back to the fight only to get a headbutt to the face. The impact staggers him and breaks off the damaged segment, revealing it to be a porcelain mask that mimics his facial expressions. The damage also has his fur and quills go from blue to red while revealing his eye as having a red-green glow within it.
"Oh come on! Do you know how hard it is to fix this mask?! yelled Admin Fun as he removed the now useless mask, "And now I look like some sort of bloodthirsty Sonic! Thanks to whoever is controlling you! I really needed to have to fix my five thousand year old mask!"
"IS THAT MASK REALLY THAT IMPORTANT?!" yelled Mayhem as he continued to try to get the collar off his neck.
"Well...no...but-" began Admin Fun before he noticed Sonic performing a Spin-Dash. Fun quickly uses his one of his gauntlets to block, creating a spring on the gauntlet and it launches Sonic away and towards Mayhem instead.
"YOU IDIOTIC MOR-!" yelled Mayhem in anger before he stops as the spin-dash cuts through his stomach and out his back. The smell of sulfur becomes impossibly strong and Mayhem looks down slowly in pain and shock. His chest gem turns yellow and he falls to his knees as purple blood oozes out of his body from the gaping hole. Sonic lands a couple feet away and quickly shakes the acidic blood off before turning back towards his targets only to get hit with the flat of a chain-axe in the head, sending him flying through several trees and a boulder.
The chain-axe's owner rushes over to Mayhem who has collapsed fully to the ground. Razor looks over the damage before he exposes the collar and activates the chainsaw teeth on the axe and brings it down on the collar. A horrible noise of metal trying to cut through metal is heard and TD, Tails, Bunnie and even Admin Fun have to cover their ears due to how horrible it sounds. After a few seconds, he stops and looks to see if the collar was removed only to find it still intact. He slams the axe into the ground nearby and puts a foot down on Mayhem's back and grabs the collar after forcing his fingers around the metal device and starts pulling.
"You...you better not...be faking..." gurgled Mayhem as he felt his neck break from the pulling.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE THESE THINGS MADE OUT OF?!" yelled Razor as he looked at Admin Fun after he let go of the collar.
"You know...I don't remember the material Zone Admins use for the control collars." said Admin Fun as he looked thoughtful a moment.
"Welp, look away everyone! THIS IS GONNA GET MESSY!" said Razor as he grabbed the chain-axe and raises it high up and activated the teeth on it.
"Wait! What are you doing?!" asked Tails, TD and Admin Fun in shock.
"CUTTING OFF HIS HEAD! WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE I'M DOING?!"
The three go to try to stop him but quickly look away as the axe bites into Mayhem's neck. The eye on the axe has a expression of "this guy has acid for blood!" as the axe teeth cut through flesh, muscle and bone. The smell of sulfur also gets even stronger, causing Tails to cover his nose from the smell. Mayhem's head is soon severed and Razor removes the collar from the neck and quickly puts the head back into place.
"WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL?! YOU CAN'T CHOP OFF SOMEONE'S HEAD AND PUT IT BACK ON!" yelled Admin Fun in horror, his smile disappearing from the corners of his mouth.
Mayhem's arms reach up and snaps his neck back into position as the spin-dash injury begins to rapidly heal while the lost blood also pools back into his body. After only a few seconds, the injury is gone and he rolls his shoulders and cracks his neck. Admin Fun is now ghost white and points a shaky hand at Mayhem.
"W-w-what the fuck are you?!"
"Does it really matter? Also, I hate Zone Admins now." said Mayhem as he extended his claws and advanced towards the now recovering Sonic. Admin Fun is still ghost white as TD floats in front of him.
"I wouldn't ask too many questions but you're new to actually physically dealing with problems aren't you?" asked TD.
"Y-Yes. Usually I dispatch Zone Cops to deal with these threats but HQ has had issues with the Prime Zone (2) so I had to deal with this myself but is this how you guys are here?! Monsters that can regenerate from decapitations?!" asked Admin Fun.
"Not very nice to call us monsters you know. Besides, THIS is an actual monster!" said TD before...
*Horrible Monster Noises*
Admin Fun jumps into a tree from sheer fright.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!"
TD chuckles.
"Hey, Admin! Watch what I can do! HAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" said Razor before he lopped off his own head and began juggling it.
"WOULD YOU STOP THAT?! YOU'RE NOT HELPING MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH PHYSICAL INTERACTIONS!"
Razor reattaches his head, upside-down. He laughs before he twists it back into its proper position, bone cracking noises included.
"I AM TEMPTED TO LEAVE THIS WORLD TO ITS FATE JUST SO YOU'RE AWARE! YOU'RE ALL FREAKS!"
"That's not very nice you know." said Slothic as he sat in the branch above Admin Fun.
"I'VE NEVER ENCOUNTERED PEOPLE LIKE THIS BEFORE! I'M TERRIFIED OUT OF MY MIND!"
"Well, Sonic's getting some odd help."
"What?"
The tree the duo are in is suddenly taken out as Mayhem goes flying through it, forcing the duo to jump out of it. Mayhem crashes through a house and collapses on a dining table. He raises a hand weakly.
"I'll fix this later...I hate Infinite..." mumbled Mayhem before his hand collapsed to the ground and he falls unconscious.
The sound of the Phantom Ruby being used is heard by everyone present and everyone gets defensive, including Bunnie despite her robotic hand being useless due to the spin-dash damage.
"This was interesting to watch...but this test is over." said Infinite before he caught a control ring thrown by Admin Fun and Shade, who had tried attacking from a different direction. Infinite holds Shade by the neck and the red-black hedgehog struggles in the cyborg jackal's grasp before he quickly pulls out a sawed off double-barrel and fires it but Sonic intervenes before Shade fully pulls the trigger, forcing the shot to miss. Shade growls before he notices the veins in Sonic's eyes. Infinite throws Shade to the ground and teleports away with Sonic.
Shade gets up and storms over to Admin Fun. He grabs the red-gold armored hedgehog by the collar and pulls him close.
"Alright Admin. Start talking! Why did Sonic have black veins in his eyes?!" snarled Shade.
"Well, fully explaining it might break a few regulations and..." said Admin Fun before he noticed the extreme anger in Shade's eyes, "Scourge somehow brought back Mephiles within this world and it has created massive instability for it."
"What do you mean Mephiles was brought back?! He was erased from reality!"
"I don't understand it either! But somehow, Scourge brought him back into existence for THIS world. Just this one though! I don't know what his plans are but he HAS to be removed. This world is on the verge of total collapse!"
"Why aren't there more Zone Cops dealing with this!?"
"There's too much going on back at Zone Prime and almost ninety percent of all available units are dealing with issues there, I'm the only available Zone Cop unit for this sector of the Mega Multiverse. Granted, this is my first excursion INTO another world outside of HQ but I was the only Admin qualified for this sector."
"And you nearly got an ally killed!"
"Complete accident. Look, you can either hate me for a few mistakes, or we work together to get rid of Mephiles before it is too late!"
Shade growls before shoving Admin Fun away who staggers a bit from the shove before recovering.
"We're going to need a plan." muttered Shade as he crossed his arms.

(2) Zone Prime is the canon Sonic universe, or as canon as it will be within this fan-made alternate universe. In short, this story is a alternate universe within an alternate universe tied to a much larger "fan multiverse" which is itself tied to canon.
Admin_Fun is based on Sonic CD secret screen, American version, but heavily modified into being a high-ranking Zone Cop wih a made up fan-verse rank. But Admin_Fun is my design of a alternate version of the "Majin Sonic" made from that screen.
