Now onto the story.

Chapter 48
Smiling as he swung through the streets, fully suited up of course, Will made his way to the meeting point, as arranged. He wasn't alone either. He carried Mike who held on close, biting his lip.
"You know, this is the first time we've had a chance to do this casually." Mike said. "I never realized it before but, I'm kinda...uneasy like this, guess I'm not used to being up so high."
Will gave a soft laugh. "It's fine Mike, I won't let you all, I promise."
"R-right." Mike replied, trying hard to keep the tremor out of his voice.
Will gave him a reassuring squeeze with the arm he had wrapped around Mike and they made their way through the city.
"I wonder what anyone looking up and seeing us like this would think?" Mike said suddenly.
Will couldn't help but laugh. "Really, you're thinking that, just now, wow...Well, if we're being honest more than a few of them would be jealous, wanting to be in your place."
"Well of course." Mike replied, with a smile of his own. "I mean, who else can say they're getting to be so close to the amazing Spider-Man, let alone dating him?"
"C'mon now, stop that, you'll give yourself a big head...or me for that matter." Will replied in a low voice.
Mike just laughed again as they finally reached their destination.
Landing on the rooftop, Will let Mike down and they moved closer to the middle of the roof, out of sight of any one except those who would be on the roof with them. Satisfied, Will removed his mask and sat down on one of the air-con units, Mike went and sat next to him.
"So, these two girls we're meeting?" Mike asked. "Friends of yours, those mutant girls that Brenner was hunting?"
Will nodded. "That's right, Jane and Kali, they are both part of the X-Men, I'm hoping they'll be able to help me out here."
"We just might be able to, Will, if we know the full story."
They both looked up at that and sure enough there was El standing there, smiling, Kali right behind her, also smiling.
"Oh hey, you got here already." Will remarked.
"Yup, so, um…?" Kali replied, quirking an eyebrow towards Mike.
Mike shifted his feet but kept himself standing firm and nodded.
"Mike Wheeler." He introduced himself. "Nice to meet you."
Will nodded reassuringly to him and he was able to step up and shake hands with both girls.
"Mike and I are, well...we've been dating for a while now." Will admitted.
El seemed to analyse Mike as she looked him up and down. "I see, well, that's good."
Mike got the feeling she had been making sure he was good enough for Will and he seemed to have passed.
Finally, after a moment, El spoke up again.
"So, you said you needed our help?" El asked.
Will nodded. "That's right, there's...there's still some trouble here in the city, four supervillains are still on the loose, three of them working together. I can't handle them alone."
"So you need our help to deal with them." Kali noted. "Sounds pretty problematic, do you really think we'll be enough. I mean, who are we dealing with?"
Will pondered for a moment. "If they attack together, it'll be a tricky situation, but if we can divide and conquer."
"We'll have a chance, or at least, we might, if you can tell us who we're dealing with." El remarked. "We're gonna help regardless, you helped us by dealing with Oscorp and...Brenner, after all."
"Yeah, that creep is gone now, that's good. He's...he's not gonna cause any more problems, right?" Kali asked.
Will shook his head. "No, he's not. So, you'll help me?"
"We owe you." Kali replied. "The Professor is grateful to you for helping us all out, so naturally we're gonna help you."
El nodded. "Exactly. Oh, before we get down to business, I gotta ask...Mike, how much do you know about all this exactly, I noticed Will is unmasked around you?"
"I'm...well, I know the truth about Mike and he's told me about you guys, says your friends and how capable you are. What your powers are."
The girls looked to Will who nodded and they shrugged, seemingly satisfied and not worried about talking freely now.
Will also decided to be completely open about things and added.
"It's not just Mike, a few people that I'm close to, friends of mine, they know and are working as a team who are backing me up, details, plans, things like that." He paused and then added. "It turns out my mom knows about me, she's known for a while."
"Oh, wow, wasn't...wasn't expecting that." El admitted. "Still, if you trust them, then we will too."
Kali nodded. "Yeah, so, spill it, who are we facing here?"
"Alright, like I said, there's four of them, three of them are teamed up." Will explained before taking a deep breath." Kali, you'll be interested in dealing with one, he uses gadgets and trickery to present himself as a 'master of illusion', calls himself Mysterio, real name Quentin Beck."
"Can't wait to meet this pretender." Kali mused. "I'll show him illusions."
"I certainly hope so, he's part of the team up along with our old friend, Sandman." Will explained. "But the last, the last is Norman Osborn, in his new form I guess you could call it, the Green Goblin. This guy is trouble, crazy and...and dangerous."
"I see, he certainly sounds it and if it is Osborn then it's clearly one of his experiments, we all know how dangerous those are." El mused. "Sandman, we know how to deal with him but I see what you mean about them being dangerous all together."
Will nodded and Mike suppressed a shiver, knowing what Will was about to reveal, there was still the last one to tell them about.
Will took a deep breath and then explained.
"The last one is, well, I've told you about Max before, her brother Billy. He's been taken over by a creature known as a Symbiote, we've just found some data about it and are working through it." He explained. "This monster is called Venom and trust me, just because it's Billy, it's not really him. This thing is terrifying and, and beyond powerful."
"That's…" El began before swallowed. "You better send us those details about this Symbiote as soon as you can."
Will nodded and agreed, glad at least things were now underway, the partnership was official and now he knew, next time it came to deal with the remaining supervillains, he would have help.
