I enjoyed my working from home. I liked only having to look nice from the waist up. I had a few zoom calls with talent and creative. Max was upset when he tried to surprise me to go to lunch to find that I was working from home. I was more glad when he didn't ask me why, but instead agreed to meet me for dinner tonight. I had texted Shaun today on and off, but I knew that there was tension between us after his admission. I knew that I wanted to be with him, but I wasn't sure we were on the same timeline right now.

I had just finished up when my ring alert went off and I checked to see Max walking up. I opened the door after he knocked and he pulled me in for a hug.

"I missed you too." I said with a chuckled and he smirked.

"Everyone misses me." he said and I rolled my eyes. I grabbed my clutch and we walked over to Cantina Louie on Atlantic Beach. I was glad that Phil had picked a great spot for the condo because I didn't have to drive if I didn't want to. Max and I talked about his new relationship, and he seemed so much happier. I was glad that he had found someone to put up with his shit. He asked me about Shaun and I told him things were fine, because they were.

Max walked me back to the building and headed back to his place. He was meeting his girlfriend for late night drinks once she got off her job. He was so excited to go. I walked up to my door and found Shaun sitting against it. I was surprised as he sat there with his eyes closed. He finally opened them and saw me standing there. He jumped up and walked over to me.

"Why are you here?" I asked him.

"I wanted to talk. I have a show in Orlando tomorrow." he said and I nodded. I opened the door for us, and he closed it behind us. I wasn't really sure what to say at this point. I knew exactly how he felt. I grabbed some beers and he followed me out to the balcony. I handed him one and he clinked it against mine. We sat there in silence as he reached over to take my hand. He kissed the back of it and looked at me.

"I didn't mean to upset you." he said and I shrugged.

"It was just overwhelming." I admitted and he nodded.

"It doesn't change that it's how I feel about you." he said and I nodded.

"Can you at least tell me how you feel?" he asked me after a second and I looked at him.

"I have fallen in love with you, and I want to see where this goes. I just don't know that I am ready for the family and forever shit. We literally just kissed for the first time not that long ago. I didn't have the best family growing up, so it kind of scares to talk about it. I don't know that I want kids. I don't see myself living in a house with a white picket fence and knowing all the neighbors. I just don't see that for myself." I admitted and he chuckled.

"No one sees you living anywhere with a white picket fence." he said and I smirked.

"Ass." I said to him and he kissed the back of my hand again.

"I can wait on forever Rae as long as you know that's my goal for this." he said and I nodded.

"I want to see where this goes." I said and he pulled me into his lap.

"And, I think that after waiting that long to kiss you... I have to do it again." he said as he cradled the back of my head and slowly brought his lips towards mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck as his tongue carefully ran over my lips asking for entrance. I granted it as the kiss heated up. I felt his hands run down my back and the other carefully settled on my hip.

I finally pulled away as my hands settled on his broad chest. He gave a lazy smile as I felt my cheeks flush with red.

"I do love you, Rae." he said.

Shaun POV

I was hovering over Rae and praying she didn't change her mind. I had wanted to claim her for a long time. I surged into her, and she made the worse sound. She let out a painful sob. I froze as I looked down at her. She had her eyes closed and was holding onto me for dear life.

"Rae?" I asked her as I used every muscle in me to not move.
