Chapter Ten

Meanwhile…

Location unknown…

Don groaned as he was pushed and tied into a chair in between Mark and Ellen, still feeling a daze from the stun gun they used on him.

'Just when you think your day can't get any worse.' He thought to himself as the mysterious men left the dank and somewhat cold room with no windows.

He looked over at the older couple, and was relieved that there were no obvious injuries, though he can't be sure unless he got a better look at them.

"You guys okay?" He asked, feeling concerned about how quiet they were.

"I'm fine." Mark simply said

"Just feeling a bit bruised." Ellen said

Don simply nodded, as he knew there wasn't much he could do for them at the moment and he needed to find a way out of here.

He just had to figure out how.

Rourke's Cafe…

Charlie nervously walked into the restaurant, as he had no idea as to why these people wanted him to meet them there, as it is a busy place, especially at this time of day.

He diligently looked around to see if there were any cops before he went to the designated table that text said.

The whole thing just made him nervous and he had no idea what to say if someone other than the person meeting him asked him questions.

After a few agonizing minutes of waiting, the man he was waiting to meet finally arrived and he was just as imposing as the picture of him was.

"Hello, Prof. Eppes." The man said, as if they were attending some kind of faculty meeting.

"Hi, may I ask what your name is?" Charlie asked, now feeling impatient with the mystery man

"In due time, but we have terms that we need to discuss." The man calmly said

Charlie was stunned but knew he didn't have a choice at the moment and he hoped Amita was able to get help quickly.

"I'm listening."
