Things were getting out of control.
The powered people as they were now called started a cult. An honest to god cult around the creator. It was not big enough to be a threat but if the inter department was to be trusted, they could be one in a not so far future.
It all started as a joke on a forum by a user called Deadking24712. He kept posting about the creator's greatness and the boon he gave them as a benevolent being. It did not get too much attention at first but then another user began to organize things.
They called themselves the cursed legion. Players that heard the maddening voice but kept going as they believed it was a test to make themselves stronger. And it did. The user AscendedHumanity was known as the physically strongest of them. He did not wish to receive a blessing by the other gods as he said his strength improvement was enough.
SHIELD put him on captain America level. They had videos of his feat in real life. They saw him lift a car, run faster than an Olympic athlete and react fast enough to dodge an arrow. He was not the strongest but balanced enough to best any of the known augmented.
Back to the problem, both users organized the First legion, composed entirely of non-blessed users. They were not much, twenty known members at the moment, but the analyst projected a massive increase as the game kept gaining in popularity.
Even more problematic was the watch organized around the creator home. Government, citizens, spies, everyone was keeping an eye on the man. Agents and spies were placed around his town, private citizen made patrol by cars and members of the cursed would soon join the party. It seemed one of them had enough funds to pay the members for the watch.
SHIELD were still investigating but for now, no name came out.
For the Creator himself, he kept living his life as if its creation was not bringing chaos and changing everything around the world. He was actually immersing himself in the development of his gaming for a new gaming platform and, luckily, it kept him from updating his game and making more chaos.
Thought, even if it made their lives difficult, it also gave them new tools to train their agents and make their chance to survive a mission greater. Hawkeye was now one of the most dangerous man in the world as a non-augmented human.
The boost of strength the game provided him coupled with his experience made him one of the most dangerous agent in the organization. His reflexes, already better than most back then, reached a new level and so did his agility.
While he was now used to stop the creatures from coming out of the sea, the few missions he was sent on always ended in success.
While many country in the world had trained soldiers augmented, none had yet managed to reach his strength.
