"Do I have to get up, and go to school… can't I stay home with daddy or go to Mobihs with papa. The other kids don't like me or when I go fast." Sonic and Shadow heard a young sounding voice say sleepily entering the kitchen of their house who happened to be a dark-blue furred female hedgehog cub who looked more like her daddy than her papa, Shadow. It was just a typical morning in their house in the sleepy town of Green Hills and the family were having breakfast which made the youngster feel better especially when it was pancakes seeing the radio was on which she loved listening to. Sonelle Hedgehog or just Sonelle was Sonic and Shadow's adopted four year-old daughter whom they'd found as a baby near the cave Sonic had lived in when he'd first came here and loved being her dads guiding her, loving her and helping her with her powers because she had both her dads's powers but she attended pre-school which had been Sonic's idea because he'd never went to school growing up and wanted to give her the world, like how Longclaw had when he was Sonelle's age.
"Sorry my lil princess, daddy and I would get in trouble, if we let you stay home, the teacher wouldn't be happy if I took you to Mobius with me and daddy has things to do around here besides errands." Shadow told her ruffling her short messy quills hearing her giggle softly as they were eating breakfast plus had made her lunch and snacks noticing her putting her favourite stuffie, an owl named Claw which Shadow knew was because of Longclaw his soulmate's adoptive mother which he'd told him about and felt bad that she wasn't aroubd, to see how her cub had grown.
"… Okay I guess, at least Claw will be with me." Sonelle said softly.
"Yeah she takes good care of you, like you do with her." Sonic told her. After eating, Sonelle was getting her Team Sonic backpack putting Claw inside gently, then sitting on the stairs to put her sneakers on which were velcro instead of laces leaving with her daddy but hugged her papa making Shadow chuckle waiting until they were gone but grabbed one of the rings he and Sonic used to travel the Galaxy opening a portal to Mobius going through disappearing.
While that was happening, Sonelle had been dropped off at pre-school and saw other kids playing and colouring while she was putting her things in her cubby pulling Claw gently out of her bag snuggling her sitting on the rug with the other kids noticing a cub like her with brown quills with a red streak and brown fur like her papa, Shadow making her curious seeing she was shy like her seeing the other kids give the cub the same looks they gave her.
"Hi… I'm Shadelle, you're Sonelle, right, my dad, Shadic told me about you." she told her making Sonelle get it. " Yeah I'm Sonelle that's cool you're uncle Shadic's cub and guess it's your first day." she told her seeing Shadelle nodding smiling a little as they were playing and talking together making the teacher relieved. At recess, they were playing tag by themselves since the other kids could not keep up with them.
"This is awesome and didn't want to come Today, but glad I did." Sonelle said.
"Me too, but my dad said I should try, as he never went to school at our age, fist-bump." Shadelle said seeing the dark-blue quilled and furred female-cub confused by what she was doing surprising Shadelle. "Wait, you're Sonic and Shadow's cub but you've never heard of a fist-bump." she asked in a soft-spoken tone seeing her shake her head pushing her quills from her eyes.
"Not really Shadelle, but I wanna try." she replied listening to her explaining as they did so giggling which made both cubs happy finding friendship in each other plus guessed their dads were friends seeing Sonelle nodding. "Awww man it's almost rest-time which is hard for cubs like us." Shadelle said seeing Sonelle cuddling Claw lying down seeing Shadelle lie down with the other kids.
"So, how was the meeting, Shadow, please tell me you kept your cool and almost didn't do Chaos Control, plus we've gotta pick Sonelle up from pre-school and hope she had a goodvday." Sonic told Shadow. It was afternoon and Shadow had just returned from Mobius so Shadow was having coffee knowing Sonic couldn't have it because it would make him very energised compared to him. "Relax Sonic, I keot my cool and yes, we should pick Sonelle up." he told him as they were leaving the house and upon arriving, saw a happier Sonelle hug them seeing Shadelle come over surprising Sonic and Shadow that she was here giving them an idea.
"Why don't you come with us, kiddo." Sonic told her making Shadelle nodding getting her backpack like Sonelle but leaving with them surprising the teacher but understood after Shadow told her going home impressing Shadelle seeing Sonic grin at this seeing Sonelle kick off her sneakers seeing Shadelle do the same whilevShadow was helping Sonic make snacks but after that, Shadic showed up as Shadelle hugged his leg after hugging his dads
Sonelle watched as Shadic tossed a ring opening a portal as Shadelle told Sonelle she'd see her tomorrow going through with her dad making her curious and confused hoping Shadelle was okay.
