Akuma attacked Paris and as always the heroes of Paris came to stop her. This akuma was very well known to all Parisians, and it was Volpina. Akuma had the power to create illusions using his flute unlike other akuma. She hated the ladybug even in her civilian version and would like nothing more than to humiliate her in public just like the ladybug humiliated her. Volpina continued to create more chaos and began to get nervous because the ladybug wasn't showing up. Then two heroes appeared before her, but not the ones Volpina would have wanted. The heroes were the Black Cat and the White Owl.
"What does that mean. Where's the ladybug." Volpina asked with fury in her voice and her face flushed with rage.
"Looks like my fair lady won't be coming." Said the Black Cat slightly sad that he won't be able to see his mate.
"Most likely her civilian version is in such a state that she can't come because she will reveal her identity. But I don't understand why this akuma doesn't like ladybug so much. Ladybug must have done something bad to her?" The White Owl asked like a gentleman with a smile and a gallant voice.
"Yes White Owl you are not familiar with this but this is Volpina or Lila the civilian version of her. She kept telling lies about going to exciting places and knowing important people but it was all a lie. Finally she allowed herself to say she knows a ladybug and they are best friends. Finally she said she has a miraculous and she is stronger than my magnificent ladybug. The ladybug appeared and said she was lying and they were never friends." Black Cat explained to White Owl why Volpina hates Ladybug.
"It really is a problem. A young lady shouldn't lie so much because it endangers her safety and the safety of others. I understand why the ladybug told you stop lying." Said the White Owl.
"Silence, you worthless bird. Ladybug is worthless. She humiliated me and took away my chance to be with Adrian, and for that she will pay. Without her, you cannot defeat me." Volpina said, proud that they couldn't touch her because she knew only a ladybug could purify the akuma and she wasn't here.
"No need for a ladybug. I can catch and purify the akuma too. Answer me young lady. Madam Butterfly and I have been in town for a few weeks, have you ever seen on the news or ladyblog how I catch and purify the akuma. Which means that I have almost the same powers as ladybug, although I don't like to be compared to her. I don't want to be told that one is stronger than the other." Said the White Owl, which made Volpina very angry because he made her feel stupid and pitiful.
She started playing her flute and many copies of her appeared ready to attack the White Owl and the Black Cat. They started fighting the spears and they realized they were all fake and after a little while they managed to defeat them all. Volpina was very angry that her attack on the heroes was unsuccessful, so she decided to create another illusion that would distract them enough for her to defeat them. She put the flute to her mouth and began to play, but before she could create the illusion the White Owl grabbed Volpina by the arm and threw her behind her, knocking her to the ground. The white owl took advantage of the situation and took the locket in which the akuma had hidden. He threw the locket at the black cat, who used his cataclysm to destroy the locket from which a dark purple butterfly emerged.
The white owl set about catching the akuma. He removed his top hat from his head and tapped it several times with his cane. A tornado appeared from the hat that caught a dark purple butterfly and the tornado brought it inside the cylinder, after a few seconds a white butterfly appeared that was purified of evil.
"We made it". The White Owl and the Black Cat said at the same time as they bumped their fists into each other.
"Thank you so much for helping me. I don't know what would have happened if it weren't for you heroes." Lily said with a fake smile.
Black Cat frowned at what Lila was doing at the moment, but before he could say something that would make it sound bad, White Owl stepped in and said.
"Young lady. From what my partner here told me a while ago, you have been telling lies all the time. It's one thing to tell harmless lies to make someone feel better or not hurt their miracles, but it's quite another to tell lies just to get what you want and make people do your work." Said the White Owl with his gentlemanly manner
The Black Cat and Lila were surprised by what the White Owl said. The black cat was very impressed by this and knew that Lila could not reciprocate with anything to make them look bad in front of the people. Lila on the other hand was angry. She thought she could make them look bad in front of people and take advantage, but the white owl's words making her look bad. She also got very angry that he sounded a lot like the ladybug. She always says that this is bad, they always teach her what is good.
"It's not over someday everyone will see how horrible you really are." Lila said and her face turned red with anger.
The white spirit in the black cat only looked at her questioningly and then turned their backs on her. Before leaving, the heroes were surrounded by journalists who wanted to ask them a few questions.
"White owl may I ask where the ladybug is does. She want to be partnered with the black cat anymore and are you now his partner." Said one of the journalists.
"The ladybug must have got into such a situation where she couldn't transform without revealing her secret identity. And as for the other question with the black cat we have always been partners just like with the other heroes we don't divide and we don't have a preference with who we want to be with." Said the white owl to the journalist in a completely calm and kind tone.
The white owl in the black cat walked away from the journalists who still wanted to ask questions, but they knew that their time would run out and they would not be able to answer all their questions. However, it was strange for both of them that their partners couldn't appear but they still managed to control the situation and defeat the akuma. As for the other two heroes who couldn't come, they watched the battle from their phones along with the other people who were around them. As the white owl had said, they had indeed fallen into such a situation that they could not get out of to transform and help their partners.
The next morning there was also a shark attack this time it was Kagami who had succumbed to the bad influence of the akuma and now she was evil and was chasing Lila to get her revenge. While running she tripped and fell to the ground. Kagami took advantage of this and tried to strike Lila with his sword, but before the sword could hit her. The sword was stopped by Madam Butterfly's shield and Lila was picked up by a ladybug to take her to free range of the akuma.
"You know you're helping a liar and a cheater." Kagami said angrily.
"Yes, we know that." Ladybug said, agreeing with what the akuma said.
"Excuse me, but could you hold off the revenge for a moment until my beloved owl comes and I can explain myself to him in love, after the battle." Madam Butterfly said with a mischievous look as she imagined being in her lover's arms.
"Enough." Kagami said angrily and started attacking Madam Butterfly with his sword. "You don't know what that liar did to me. She said she was going to make it so I'd never be able to see my beloved Adrian, so she's going to pay."
"Ladybug, I mean for the first time I wish I didn't have such morals because I agree I'm akuma. It's bad when you play with love feelings." Madam Butterfly said as she dodged the attacks
"I can't argue with you here Madam Butterfly. It looks like the boys won't be showing up, they must be in a situation where they can't transform without revealing their identity like we were yesterday." Ladybug said.
"That means we girls have to deal with it. Ladybug, use your ability so we can defeat her faster." Said Madam Butterfly who was still dodging the attacks but she didn't know how long she could last doing so.
Ladybug could see that Madame Butterfly was getting tired of the constant attacks she had to fend off. She summoned her 'lucky charm' and a hand cream appeared in her hand. Ladybug was very confused by what she got and didn't know what to do. She looked around to see if she could find any clues. Ladybug noticed the cream and Kagami's hands glowing and knew exactly what she had to do. Madam Butterfly, after many attacks, was finally struck and knocked to the ground. Kagami was about to hit her one more time, but then Kalinka grabbed her hand and began to smear it with the cream. Kagami quickly pushed Ladybug away but dropped her sword, she was trying to catch it again but the sword was just slipping away, her hands were too slippery from the cream. The ladybug caught the sword by the blade and broke it with her foot. A dark purple butterfly came out of the broken sword and Ladybug used her yo-yo to cleanse it of evil and a white butterfly came out.
"Ladybug, sometimes I don't want to be a hero so I can punish those who are really guilty." Madam Butterfly said as she helped Kagami to his feet. "But if I do I will be declared an enemy, and my beloved owl will not forgive me, though he forgave me one thing that even I would not forgive myself for."
"Knows what you're talking about Madam Butterfly and I feel that too sometimes." Ladybug said as she glared slightly at Lila. "Now let's leave before my time is up."
"Alright, I'll take Kagami back to her home. She must be exhausted from this transformation. Lila on the other hand looks perfectly fine to me as she ran away from Kagami." Said Madam Butterfly and flew off with Kagami leaving Lila very angry.
Ladybug was ready to be but before she could do it she was surrounded by journalists who started asking her questions. Mostly about whether she replaced the black cat and now Madam Butterfly is her new partner. Ladybug wanted to answer these questions. Needless to say she didn't change the Black Cat for Madame Butterfly, but before she did her miraculous gave a signal to let her know that her time was running out. She quickly got away from the reporters and went back home to her room where she lay down on her bed and transformed back into Marinette.
Tomorrow was Friday and all the students were talking about what they were going to do during the weekend. School ended and all the students went home.
Zack would get ready for his patrol that night and over the weekend he would spend half a day doing nothing and the other half he would create a schedule of what to do for the rest of the day. Although sometimes his plans were completely canceled because he has akuma attacks. Zack was sitting on the couch reading a psychology book, he also had the TV on to create background noise. While reading he heard something that drew his attention to the TV. He noticed Nadia talking about the White Owl and the Black Cat working together and the same goes for Ladybug and Madam Butterfly. She said if the heroes decided to change their partners. This made Zach very angry.
"Just listen to what they're saying, but I'm not going to leave it at that. I'm going to show them. Halub, Labag, double transforms. Zach said.
Halub and Labag flew to the bracelet and ring, and Zack began to transform as a bright light began to circle his body. Zack touched his face and head at the same time, then his mask and top hat appeared. He raised his hands in the air and a cloak appeared behind him, then a belt with a deck of cards attached appeared around his waist. Finally, Zack raised one hand and a decorative cane appeared, and his transformation was complete.
"Wait a minute Zach. What do you think you're doing." Zack's Mother said as she glared at him.
"I'm sorry mom." The White Owl said with his head bowed. "I was just so angry that I lost track of what I shouldn't do with the miraculous. I shouldn't use my powers for personal use and get revenge on people."
"Okay, I think you understand." Zach's mother said, feeling like she was talking to someone other than her own son. Now he was much more polite and gallant, just like a gentleman.
The white owl transformed back to its civilian version and said. "In a few hours we will have a patrol. I hope my partners and I will clear things up and there is no need to get angry."
"What this means." Scarlett shouted loudly as she listened to the news on her large TV.
"Scarlett why are you yelling. Has something happened." Ruda said.
"Yes Ruda, something happened. While I was watching TV I heard them saying that me and the white owl had split up and found new partners. That made me terribly angry." Scarlett said as she clenched her fists in anger.
"I know what you heard sounds horrible, but calm down Scarlett. You know perfectly well that a white owl wouldn't replace you." Ruda said
"I know that, but I'm just a little sad that I didn't get to see him." Scarlett said in a sad tone.
"Well it is, but today is patrol day and you will be able to see it." Ruda said.
"You're right, I have to get ready for the patrol and meet my favorite owl." Scarlett said with a smile.
The sun had already set and countless stars appeared in the sky. Black Cat, White Owl, Madam Butterfly and Ladybug were jumping from roof to roof and looking at the beautiful sight that the lights were showing. Paris seen from above and illuminated is a truly breathtaking sight that our heroes saw. After several hours of patrolling the city, they gathered at the Eiffel Tower.
"Hello Kalinke and Madame Butterfly. I'm sorry I couldn't come. He was in such a situation that he wouldn't be able to transform without revealing his secret identity." Said the White Owl.
"You don't have to worry. We're in that situation ourselves, but you know talking about himself in the third person." Ladybug said slightly confused.
"It's normal for him to talk about himself in the third person. I was also confused by how he talks about himself in the third person, but I getting used to it. Because my beloved owl perceives himself and his civilian version as two different people ." Explain Madam Butterfly to Ladybug.
"Did you see what they were saying on the news" said the Black Cat.
"Yes, that made him very angry indeed, and in that fit he transformed, but then he realized what he was doing. Said the White Owl.
"You know, I was angry at what they said myself, but we have to accept that these are just rumors and we shouldn't take them seriously." Ladybug said.
"We all were and we all agree that we will remain partners without discriminating against the other." Said Madam Butterfly.
They all nodded in agreement and after a few hours their patrol was over and they returned to their homes.
