Tick, Tock. Tick, Tock.

"Hmm..?." He hummed.

Inside an luxurious and regal room befitting an noble in the prime Victorian era with exquisite appearance. Coupled with several shelves that decorated itself with several old yet certainly not dust lladen books in each racks, and wooden polished floor, they gave off an impression of a elegant and stylish interior.

However, what was shocking was several gems, in each colour and varieties. Ranging from diamond, emerald,

sapphire, ruby, pearl, topaz, amethyst, garnet, tourmaline, aquamarine, peridot, citrine and many more, all of them suspended in the air, pulsing and glowing their own varying colours giving of magical charm.

And in the middle of this magical room, was an exquisite polished wooden desk, something which would probably appear in a principal's office or a company chairman. Opposite to the desk was a pair of wooden chairs with soft and luxirous fabric, coupled with a pair of arms and machette.

And opposite to these chair was another chair, however, that one was different.

The chair's appearance is "extravagant" with its wood possessing a "refined hue," but not repulsively ornamental like that owned by the elite. It certainly gave a strange sense of power both in figurative and literal sense with how mana pulsated around it. The very significance of the chair in the space is such that an unrefined person would be "consumed by the weight of the chair's existence and hidden from surrounding view."

And upon the chair, a man sat. And he was by no means an "unrefined man", rather a person with aura of refined man. A strength derived from experience and strength.

He was, to be described, as someone to be in his older years, yet still held refined and regal presence, had he stood up he would appear to be tall, he had ashen white hair slicked back neatly, a gruff beard, glinting ruby red eyes, he held a serious but nevertheless an elegant expression. He was neatly dressed, in a formal and fine black and white attire something resembling a mix of tuxedo and wizard's robes.

Tick, Tock. Tick, Tock.

The man stared at his wrist watch, a very costly one, silently, observing how the sweep second hand moved with "tick" and "tock" voice. The steel mark over the dial glinted a rainbow hue along with the sign over the middle which signified "K.Z.S".

"—AAAAAAHHHHHHH!" Low and behold, here came a red head through a broken mirror like mirage from above, somehow landing softly onto the chair opposite to the old man ignoring all possible laws of the world.

"Ugh~." The red head boy looked ready to puke anytime, trying to hold in what he ate. He looked as green as a broccoli.

Suddenly, one of the crystals hung on the air, tourmaline, specifically to cascade bluish coloured light over the red head as he breathed in a sigh of relief, the green over his face gradually restoring to the fair complexion.

"Guten Morgen, Mr.Emiya. And I apologise for the inconvenience caused by my Mystic Code." The old man apologised good naturedly as he gave a warm smile, a pair of sharp canine teeth glinted like needles.

The red head felt instantly wary. His eyes widened at the mystical sight of the gems suspended in the air, glowing an ethereal shine.

"Fascinating, isn't it Mr.Emiya ?." Shirou noticed for the first time that man had a German accent which was far different from the one he met so far, not that he knew many.

Though the old man was speaking Japanese to him right now, so he had no way knowing whether that was by error or not.

""I'm sorry. But are you...?." Shirou asked with anxiously. He had already asserted that the old man was a magus.

Of course he was neither blind nor stupid. Also his sense of "smell", which wasn't really smell but a magical detection in form of five senses. Most magi had them in any form of the way.

The man had a scent of "decay" as in something like the decay of those tree or even the feeling somewhat similar to "corpse", though definitely he didn't have the rotting smell of a corpse instead.

However, there was another scent which completely dominated any other scent. It was of ozone, acridric smell coupled with a somewhat gunpowder and and sulfurous one.

And if he had already brought him to the residence, then that means...

"Yes, Ich bin Kischur Zeltrech Schweinorg. Pleased to meet you, Mr. Emiya." The now identified, Kichur Zeltrech Schweinorg introduced himself with a soft smile.

Despite, already knowing that he would come to meet him Shirou still couldn't help but give a look of awe.

While Kiritsugu had been completely against him learning Magecraft, he had mentioned many key figures, if anything to satisfy my curiosity.

And among them, there was one person that stood out. Kiritsugu referred him as Kaleidoscopic or Wizard Marshal.

Primarily known to be the magus that discovered the Second Magic, he is widely known as the True Magician of Second or simply The Sorcerer.

Known to be a great magus who had defeated and ended the reigns of an dangerous evil that threatened humanity called Crimson Moon.

"in the Clock Tower the great magician who led theWorld of Magecraftinto battle long ago is still alive." This would be the definition given to him.

Defeating an evil super vampire like a hero. Unlike the magus children who saw a great magus, to the young Shirou he had seen a closest figure to a hero, just as Kiritsugu was.

"I—Ah, I mean, Gomen I forgot to introduce myself. I am Emiya Shirou. You had sent a letter two months—" Shirou fumbled with words before

"No need for formalities, Emiya. And yes I know—now here, take some water." Zeltrech said understandingly as he pushed a glass of water to the nervous boy.

Shirou gave a grateful look before drinking the glass of water swiftly and sighed, for some reason it felt like there was some weird taste in it, though definitely not bad.

"Now that you have calmed down. Yes, I had sent a letter for our meeting. I had been waiting to meet you." Zeltrech replied gracefully, the old man said as his red eyes shone, making Shirou a bit uncertain.

"Sorry for being rude, but...why ?." Shirou asked.

"Hm ?~" Zeltrech hummed in questioning.

"I, mean, why do you want to meet me. And what did you mean by what you've written in the letter ? ." Shirou asked with curiosity and a bit of anxiety.

"What I've written in the letter is absolutely and utterly true and honest. Both in precision and my own word." Zeltrech replied seriously. His eyebrows furrowed.

Yes, it was true. Shirou had come about as far as 5278 miles because of a single 'letter'.

He had been as anxious and concerned as he could be for the past two months. He wasn't sure he could've held out any longer, these two months were nerve wracking as it were.

The moment he entered Germany, he couldn't wait to confirm the words written in the letter.

"Is it true, then ?. The disaster of Fuyuki Fire, is it—is it going to repeat once more ?." Shirou couldn't help but spit out of those words with violent trepidation.

Shirou's greatest fear came true as he felt light headed when Kischur nodded with a grimace. The light over his eyes flickered. His eyes dilated and his breathing was greedy.

"And perhaps, what you've seen might've as well be a trickle compared to it's complete form that may descend.

The scenes of fire flashed through his head. The scream, the cries, the pleas.

"Em...a...Emi...a...Emi...ya...E...miya.." The voice of the Second Magician seemed blurry and distorted.

His vision blurred and his five senses were failing...Shirou's eyes fluttered before scummbing to faint.

Zeltrech sighed as he started at the red haired boy slumped over the chair. The letter was still clutched between the index finger and middle finger.

A emerald light tinged the letter, slowly letting itself detach from those calloused fingers before slowly levitating to the Second Magician's pale fingers.

The letter was unfolded, the paper taken to his hands he brought it to his face. The obsidian black ink he had used in writing the letter was still eye catching. He read them clearly in his mind what he wrote.

Dear Mr. Emiya.

Greetings, to you. I am but a person who is a aquantice and also a fellow member of the special community of ours. The one involving a magical side. I hope Kiritsugu had introduced you to the family business, therefore I won't skid over formalities and sweet talking. The issues concerning the community had also started to surface a few unfinished business of Kiritsugu's about 10 years are coming back. Including those that concerns you, yes, the disaster that took place in Fuyuki might once more happen and the scale won't be 'small' this time. I will end my bout till here since, these matters are not to be discussed through a strip of paper. As such I request your presence, preferably before January ends, if possible before January 21st.

Sincerely,

Kischur Zeltrech Schweinorg.

"So the red finally arrived, huh ?." A gruff voice echoed next to the True Magician. Zeltrech hummed in response, the light dimmed, the room changed.

No, exact description would be the room was 'distorted'. From the polished wooden floors to the shelves, all disappeared to jet black appearance as if a light less night. The room shifted into a spherical world.

The jewels that was suspended in the air

which was in different varying colours changed to pure shinning ivory white. The

jet black world was now dotted with points of light resembling stars.

There was only Zeltrech and fainted Shirou somehow appeared to be floating in the empty void.

—Suddenly something appeared,a hovering book that, while the size and thickness of a standard encyclopedia

with a fluttering pages opened.

And next to him, over the wooden desk an old model of antique rotary dial telephone appeared, with a navy blue and white dial.

It was certainly the reason of the other gruff voice.

"Caubac.." Kischur addressed.

"The worldlines are shifting, including the Universe Heat or is it Big Crunch ?, whatever. Can you still locate the trouble ?." Caubac asked off handedly.

"The instance of observing a world is quite delicate process, each of my views should be assessed correctly or else have I viewed an 'Bad End' and each of our life depends on it. This is no more of a simple 'world ending phenomenon', especially if those shut-ins in the Wandering Sea or Atlalasians would've approached me of all people. Had Crimson Moon not crippled me, I would've easily tracked them by now." Zeltrech grumbled.

With a casual flick of his wrist, the pages of the book turned at rapid speed, the star like lights shifted. From a dimension fracture of endless colours, a jewel pendant floated.

It was the shape of circle, representing 'never-ending' or infinity. With a jewel that had pulsing colours of infinite colours folding and unfolding like wallpaper video it seemed to be a hypnotic mirage.

It floated unceremoniously giving vibrant rainbow hue before making itself comfortable around the neck of the fainted red head, the rainbow hue was then covered by a ivory white—no, a colour less light which materialised into a silver steel, a sleek six-pointed star in the centre, two pieces which had a pointed conical horn which looked like a devil's horn.

"Pfft~. Admit you're just old geezer that can't do his shit." Caubac laughed mockingly.

"Maybe, just like you're too senile that you trapped yourself in your own Labrinth." Zeltrech bit back casually.

"...Okay, that hurts. I won't poke fun at you." Caubac complained meekly.

" Don't worry, I still would." Zeltrech said calmly.

"..." Caubac was depressed on the other end.

"Still though I didn't expect you to intervene better yet give him Diamond, Mr.Observer." Caubac poked fun at him, as though he could see through the telephone.

"As I told you before. I've long since 'graduated' from this 'academy'. I'm just looking out for the next generation, where my own 'kids' and 'grandkids' study." Zeltrech replied with soft look.

"Besides, Diamond is simply for observational purposes. And think of it as compensation for dragging him into this hellhole." Kischur said once more plainly.

"I would think that you just gave him more troubles had it been either Ruby or Sapphire but since this is Diamond I suppose you just gave him unfair advantage, though both of them fits each other to an extent." Caubac pointed out Zeltrech's blatant favouritism.

It was obvious that Zeltrech was favouring the kid. Not exactly surprising to him considering he was one of the few that knew Zeltrech to an extent. Zeltrech was a man of justice and morals, an eccentric fella who somehow has straight morality combined with contradictory seriousness.

Nevertheless, he had the dedication of a magus and the whimsical attitude of a Sorcerer coupled with the will of Human making a scary combination.

"Please do not remind me of them...I really don't want to think of those headaches now. At least both Emerald and Diamond isn't such a nuisance." Zeltrech groaned as ye massaged his templates.

It was good thing that he kicked them out to that other version of him. Or else they would drive him crazy, especially in such a delicate situation.

"Hm~, shame, they were entertaining." Caubac gargled with a chuckle.

"They were annoyance." Zeltrech's eyebrows twitched.

"They would be sad."

"Makes my day."

"You're cruel."

"No, I'm Zeltrech."

"Sassy bastard ain't ya ?."

"Hm."

" Those jokes aside, are you really gonna throw him into this bloody war, and he isn't even a Master this time. You're sending a sheep to lion's den." Caubac asked in confusion.

It was obvious, boy was no Master like those other timelines. Then atleast there would be the King of Knights to watch the boy's back.

"As I said. I would be making sure that boy at least know the basics. Besides, you forgot Caubac. Fools don't die that easily." Zeltrech said with fanged smile. Crimson eyes glinted nostalgically.
