I wanted to write a more gruesome version of Cinderpaw's accident so here it is, my first story on this app :D!
~Dawn Ash~
Cinderpaw leapt through the Thunderpath, determined to inform Tigerclaw of Bluestar's illness, even though it went against her mentor's wishes. She couldn't see how her actions could cause any harm; she wouldn't get hurt!
She was so adrenaline-fueled and determined to complete the job that she had obligated herself to do that she didn't hear the nearby roar of a monster over the loud ringing caused by blood pumping in her ears.
Cinderpaw raced across the gravelly surface, much like hardened clumps of sand, and looked straight ahead toward her destination with determination so strong, not even the most persuasive warrior in Starclan could stop her.
It was a brave action, though, as I said, bravery and stupidity often go hand in hand.
When she finally heard the screeching of the monster's oddly shaped, jet-black legs that have perplexed many cats to this day, it was too late. The giant beast had crushed her paw with such ease that it must have felt like stepping on a mouse.
Blood spewed from the collision between her gray paw and the black hind leg of the monster. The gruesome red liquid flew everywhere, landing on nearby bushes and staining the lush green grass, turning it a yellowish-brown color.
The ground of the Thunderpath soaked up the blood as if it were mere water, leaving a red tint behind.
The young apprentice let out a strained yowl in pain as her eyes widened; she whipped her head over to her leg, the normally luscious, gray fur was stained with the gruesome blood of a warrior. The ringing in her ears did not subside, but instead grew louder due to the lack of blood pumping through her body.
The ringing in her ears grew and grew as she remained in a conscious state; the promises of tranquility tried lulling her to sleep, but she refused the offers until the manipulative lullabies finally won.
Her vision faded to white as she passed out; the image of her torn leg, glistening with fresh blood, remained fixed in her mind even in a state of unconsciousness.
A yowl in the distance took Fireheart by surprise before he recognized the voice and broke into a sprint towards the source, Cinderheart! He thought, and to his horror the more fluidly he smelled the gray apprentice's scent, the closer the trail led to the ThunderPath.
Fireheart rushed through a hedge only to gasp in horror at the sight bestowed upon him.
His apprentice--the one he oathed to lead to war and back laid right in front of him, her leg shining with red, dripping blood.
