It was Izumi's first day back at school and everyone was staring at her but whenever she looked directly at them, they turned away. Izumi saw the kid she accidently touched and wanted to apologize but as soon as he saw her, he bolted so Izumi went to class.

"Midoriya pull your gloves up, and your new seat is over there" said the teacher.

Izumi looked where the teacher was pointing and saw that it was near the corner of the back room. Izumi sat down as some more kids entered the room and took notice of her.

"Hey Villein you hurt a friend of mine" hollered a kid.

"Sorry" said Izumi.

"Why did they call me a villein" wondered Izumi

The kid being a dumb 5 year old was angry and wanted to be mean so he walked over and pulled Izumi's hair. The kid gasped and fell over pale as a sheet.

"Izumi how dare you!" hollered the teacher.

"I didn't do anything, he pulled my hair" stated Izumi.

The other kids began mumbling but Izumi still heard the words evil, monster and villein. The teacher called another teacher in to watch them as they took the kids to the infirmary and returned with gloves and clippers. Izumi was made to sit in the middle of the classroom as her hair was caught off, it was at this time Bakugo entered the room and started laughing at her.

"From now on, your hair is to remain short, I will be speaking to the principal about you wearing a mask and hood from now on, can't have you harming anyone" said the teacher.

Izumi wanted to cry as everyone was laughing at her as she had been made to clean up her own hair.

Recess

Izumi was sitting in a tree hoping to avoid the other kids who had been calling her names. She was surprised they had let her out but was completely fine with it. She waited for the bell to ring and watched the clouds as she figured no one wanted to play with the monster.

"Hey freak, you think you can hide up there and no one would notice" demanded a familiar voice.

Izumi looked down to see Bakugo and some other kids who were holding balls.

"I was hoping" said Izumi.

"Your evil, your quirk hurts people" stated Bakugo.

"No I'm not" defended Izumi.

"She's a liar" muttered a kid.

"Go away" demanded Izumi.

"No, you go away freak" laughed Bakugo.

A kid threw at a ball at Izumi but it missed and hit the tree and the kid ran to get the ball. Some of the other kids started throwing their balls at her as well, a few threw rocks. Bakugo just stood there and smiled.

"Stop it!' demanded Izumi.

"I'm going to be a really cool hero and I'm going to start with destroying you monster!" laughed Bakugo.

A small explosion was heard as Bakugo used his quirk to propel the ball at Izumi. Izumi was a sitting duck and closed her eyes waiting for the ball to strike her. She felt the ball smash through the tree, followed by the sensation of falling. She could hear the other kids but they soon to gasps and Izumi who no longer felt like she was falling opened her eyes but everything was tinted gray and when she moved everything seemed blurry. She noticed the kids running but they were moving so slow. She also noticed was close to the ground but didn't feel it. Izumi had turned into smoke but it quickly ended and she was herself again.

"Get her quick" yelled a kid.

Izumi was hit in the face with a rock and got mad and grabbed the kid who threw it. He was instantly pale and sweaty and couldn't cry out in pain. She tossed him to the ground. The other kids stared at her with fear, the only exception was Bakugo who was staring her down.

"Get away from me before I eat your quirks!" screamed Izumi.

The kids ran away screaming and crying. Bakugo stared at her and she stared at him neither budging.

Later that day.

Izumi was sitting in her room listening to parents argue yet again about her.

"She was suspended for attacking students and threatening to eat their quirks" stated Hisashi.

"The other kids were throwing balls and rocks at her, she was defending herself" replied Inko.

"I would to if someone just yelled they would eat my quirk" sneered Hisashi.

"She said they attacked first and she defended herself, I believe her" defended Inko.

"Were any of them suspended" asked Hisashi.

Inko didn't respond and Hisashi snorted.

"Of course not, it's their word against her's and to everyone else she's a villein, a monster who devours quirks" said Hisashi annoyed.

"No she eats the energy the quirk produces" stated Inko.

"You see how that's a problem right?" asked Hisashi.

"I get it, her quirk feeds off people but that doesn't make her a monster" said Inko.

"In this day and age it most certainly does and the sooner you understand that, the less heartbreak you'll feel when she turns into a criminal, also what happened to her hair?" asked Hisashi.

"The teacher cut it off" said Inko.

"Why?" asked Hisashi confused.

"Another student touched it and it drained his energy, also she needs to wear hoods and masks from now on as part of her uniform" explained Inko.

"Her hair drains energy to, well a least the teacher saved us the trouble of touching the little monster" said Hisashi.

"Stop calling her that!" demanded Inko.

"Whatever, I'm going to the bar" said Hisashi.

He headed for the door when Inko grabbed his arm. He looked at her confused.

"There's more" said Inko nervously.

"More of what?" asked Hisashi.

"When the kids were throwing stuff at her, she turned into...smoke" said Inko.

Hisashi was silent for a few minutes.

"I asked you 5 years ago if you cheated on me and would have forgiven you back then" snapped Hisashi.

"It was 1 time, why do you care if I do it once when you're always doing it" yelled Inko.

"I never cheated on you, yes I flirt with women since it's part of my job and I enjoy it, but I never cheated on you, your my wife" yelled Hisashi.

"Bullshit" scoffed Inko.

"Who was it" demanded Hisashi.

"The American hero Smokewall, it happened the night of the award ceremony" said Inko.

"While I was getting my award, you slept with that miserable piece of shit" yelled Hisashi.

"Unlike you he actually cared about my feelings, and he was a better lover then you ever could be, you selfish prick" yelled Inko.

There was silence at first but then Izumi heard her mother scream and the whoosh of fire as Hisashi unleashed his quirk. Izumi ran out of her room as her mother screamed rolling on the floor to put out the flames. The front door was open and Hisashi was gone.

"Mommy" screamed Izumi.

Izumi rushed over to her mom and touched her with her gloved hands. Izumi feel the heat radiating off her mothers burns and desperately wished she could help her. Izumi felt a tugging in her chest and focused on it hoping it would help. Izumi felt a surge of power as she sensed the 53 quirks in the building, she unintentionally began pulling in the energy that spread from her hands to Inko's arm. The burns on Inko's arm started receding and leaving fresh pink skin behind. Izumi was surprised and happy as this new ability.
