Iida was listening to Present Mic talk about the robots they would be fighting, but he heard something behind and looked back to see two girls whispering. That was very rude of them, and they needed to be reminded about where they were. Idia stood up.
"You are being very rude, you are interrupting the teacher, you should stop talking and pay attention!" demanded Iida.
The pink skinned girl and the green haired girl he was pointing at share a look.
"You're the one being rude, we were whispering, he couldn't hear us but you standing up and shouting at us is far more disruptive" declared the pink skinned girl.
Iida was about going to respond when her words sunk in. He turned and bowed to Present Mic then sat down. Present Mic went back to talking before telling everyone to look at their cards as that would tell them which arena, they would be in. He headed over to his door and noticed the green haired girl was there to and headed over to her. She noticed him and turned to face him.
"Hello I would like to apologize for yelling earlier" said Iida.
"Oh um I should actually apologize to you, I applied for General studies, but there was a mix up so something that place me here, so I'm not taking this as seriously as some of the others" explained the green haired girl.
"Do you not want to be a hero?" asked Iida.
"No" said the girl.
Iida was confused, everyone wanted to be a hero even if their quirk wasn't the best for it, he couldn't understand how glitch placed her and before he could ask why she bothered to come in at all the doors opened and everyone rushed out. Iida ran and began smashing robots as fast as he could. He noticed a purple haired kid ripping the legs off the robots. He began to notice the robots getting more aggressive as he pulled some contestants out of harms way. He also noticed the green haired girl helping people up. Iida saw a robot knock a participant to the ground then raise its leg then brought it down to smash the participant, but Iida was faster. Iida noticed there were more robots coming toward them from the other path and the robot he just evaded was preparing to leap at them. He revved his engines planning to run under the robot and look for another opening when a weird sensation enveloped him then spat him back out inside one of the mock buildings. He noticed he no longer had the injured participant, looking around he saw the green haired girl reforming from smoke with the other participant on the ground.
"No wonder they made they made us sign an NDA" said the girl.
"Actually, they aren't supposed to kill" said Iida.
The girl didn't respond as she got on her knee's and placed her gloved hands over the participant. Iida was amazed to see the cuts and bruises fade away, he began to wonder if she was going to general studies to eventually become a doctor with her healing quirk, he made a mental note to ask her about the gloves since it seemed logical that she would heal faster without them.
"I understand now, you want to be a doctor, healing quirks are very rare" said Iida.
"Not in America, and I haven't thought that far ahead, besides healing is just something I figured out that I could do, I'm Izumi Midoriya" said the girl.
"Tenya Iida" said Iida.
The teen on the ground started moaning.
"Everything hurts" mumbled the teen.
Iida heard Izumi say something, but he wasn't paying attention as he began to form a plan.
"Izumi I'm going to check on the others, I'll bring any injured I find" said Iida.
He rushed out before getting a response. He was running down one path when he noticed 4 participants battling robots. Technically 3 of them were attacking bots as they entered their sight and the 4th a girl was calling them out before they were seen. She quickly turned around to face him, her relief was evident but when she turned back to the robots she fell and twisted her ankle. A smaller person with purple hair tried to help her but she slapped him away. A blond teen was shooting laser beams from his stomach but it seemed to cause him pain as he doubled over, this let the robots get closer until the purple haired kid began throwing chunks of hair at them which caused them to become immobile. One of the bots got around and smacked the blond teen into a wall. Iida saw a blood smear and ran as fast as he could to dispatch the robots.
"Thanks, can you help me carry them to one of the open buildings, there should be an emergency first aid kit hidden under the first step, my sister told me about them" explained one of the guys.
Iida picked up the injured blond.
"If you are able to follow me, I can show you the way to a participant who can heal people" said Iida.
"Ok, she twisted her ankle when a bot attacked and again minute ago, so we need to help her there" said the teen.
Iida made sure they were behind him at all times. A robot came into the view, but the purple haired kid launched more balls at it, after that they were in the clear and they made it back.
"Please don't let me die, I just want to sparkle and eat cheese" moaned the blond.
Iida had no clue what that meant but assumed it from blood loss. Iida was shocked when a burning sensation poured over his arm, looking at his arm he saw Izumi's ungloved hand touching him but he also noticed the rapid healing of the other person. He felt a little tired but his brother recommended he keep snacks on him at all times, so he pulled a granola bar out as he was preparing to leave again.
"Sorry Iida I needed the extra energy you produced to heal him" said Izumi.
Iida noticed the fear in her voice and how she flinched away and now understood the reason for her gloves and even possibly the bald head.
"No worries I'll be back" said Iida.
Yes it had hurt when she touched him but she saved a life and he wasn't slower, he just felt tired. He saw someone on the ground and scooped them up, heading back. It was the look on Izumi's face that told him all he needed to know. He set the body down and resolved to go faster. He was racing down a different path when he saw a large participant smash a robot that got in his way, while a redhead pulled a blond who didn't seem all there. He told them about he came from and watched as they headed in that direction then raced off again until he heard the announcement for the zero pointer. He watched in awe and terror as the giant robot entered the stage. He was caught off guard when the purple haired teen who had pulled robot legs off ran past him.
"What are you doing?!" yelled Iida.
"Being a fool" laughed a voice beside him.
Iida looked to his side to see a green skinned blue horned teen shaking his head. Iida turned back and watched as the purple haired teen helped a brown haired girl. The zero pointer ignored them and kept moving which Iida guessed meant it wasn't affected like the other robots which was a relief. Iida put his hands up so the others see him.
"If either of you need a healer, one of the participants can help, her name is Izumi, I can show you the way" explained Iida.
"That's great, I was actually hoping to find someone as back where we were hiding we have some injured people" said the girl.
"Green eyes, gloves, bald?" asked the purple haired teen.
"You've met?" asked Iida.
"Yeah we've met a few times, I know where a few groups are, if you show us the way to Izumi, we can bring the others to her, I'm Shinso by way" said the purple haired teen.
Iida nodded then began leading them back, things would have been easier if the green skinned teen wasn't with them as he was running off and smashing robots which only brought more.
"What is your quirk" asked the girl.
"Better" laughed the teen.
Iida and Shinso shared a look.
"Care to explain?" asked the girl.
"My quirk is your quirk but better, I'm stronger than purple and faster than 4 eyes" said the teen.
"You were able to get my strength? it's an inherited recessive quirk, my full quirk is brainwashing" said Shinso.
He didn't like saying his quirk aloud since school hadn't been kind but if Iida knew Izumi then maybe there some hope.
"That sounds mental based, I can only do better versions of physical based quirks, 4 eyes is a mutant type but I don't get the mutation just the quirk, what about you babe?" asked the teen.
"My quirk is zero gravity and I'm not your babe, how does brainwashing activate?" asked the girl.
"It's response based" said Shinso.
He saw her thinking about it.
"Good for ending hostage situations" said the girl.
"We're close" said Iida.
The group stopped when some robots cut them off. The green skinned smirked then zoomed forward smashing most of them but the last one he simply touched and watched it float into the air.
"Nice" laughed the blue skinned teen.
More robots emerged and the green skinned teen began running around faster while smashing the robots. Iida noticed the shadow of the floating robot was getting closer to them. He looked up to see it trying to move it's limbs.
"Don't move, I'm coming back, I got to far" yelled the teen.
Iida didn't understand how a quirk like Better worked but if he got to far did that mean he couldn't use their quirks. He looked back up to see the begin to fall, without thinking Iida pushed Shinso and the girl out the way. He heard the robot crash and felt something sharp strike him followed by a warm liquid on his side. Iida didn't get a chance to look as he screamed in pain before falling to the ground. It hurt to breath and the light grew dim.
"Why did you punch it!" yelled a voice.
Iida felt cold and sleepy as his body began to shut down. He had failed himself and his family. He was starting to see a tunnel when he felt a searing pain erupt through his body, he would have been worried if he hadn't felt this same pain only moments before.
Iida had been looked over by Recovery Girl and other then the scare on his abdomen he was fine. He was quickly dismissed as more seriously injured participants were brought in for Izumi and Recovery Girl. His brother greeted him at the door and hugged him tight. They then headed outside to the meeting area.
"My kid is fine, why should I stay" demanded a parent.
"Many participants were inquired due to severe malfunctions in the systems many of the schools use, we need everyone to stay here for time being as one of our healers needs ambient to heal, side effects include feeling hungry and lack of energy as such as snacks will be provided" explained Nezu with a smile.
"And what if I don't consent to this" sneered the parent.
Tensei took the stage.
"You're here because your child wants to be a hero, you leave, and your child will remember this as the day their own parent refused to help save lives when all they had to do was stand there" said Tensei
