Ghoul Break: The Familia's Final Outing:
Background Event: Bria just wanted to Relax

Bria groaned as she flopped onto the couch. She was bored out of her skull, and the week had only begun. In fact, she was so bored that she didn't even bother to change out of her sleepwear yet.

"Why did those two have to take that potion?" the Glandus grumbled as she turned onto her back and stared at the ceiling.

She had it all planned; each day was doing nothing but relaxing, hanging out, and maybe messing with some Hexside losers. But then her friends ruined those plans by taking rejuvenation potions.

"What's great about getting turned into a diaper-wearing, snot-nosed brat anyways?" Bria grumbled sullenly.

"Bria?" the student heard her mother call, "Can you come here?"

Bria groaned but rolled off the couch. She knew if she didn't reply, her mom would continue to nag her until she gave in. That or she would sick some beasts on her.

"What do you want, you old hag?" Bria grumbled as she walked into the kitchen.

"Hey!" Ericia shouted defensively, "I'm not old, not this week, at least."

Bria scowled as she studied her mother, who, thanks to an R-potion, was currently 15, a year older than the daughter.

Ericia shared a lot with her daughter; she got the same hair and skin colors. The only thing Bria didn't gain from her mother was her freckles and eyes; Ericia's right eye was cat-like and red, while her left eye was colorless.

Ericia was wearing a sleeveless top with the bottom tied, exposing her stomach. She wore orange leggings with claw marks running down the thighs and boots with steel tips. Finally, she had on spiked bracelets and a chopper.

"Jealous?" Ericia asked smugly when she caught Bria staring.

Bria just looked away, hoping her mom didn't catch the faint hint of red on her cheeks. "L-Like I would care what an old crow like you looks like."

Ericia grinned, walked up to her daughter, and grabbed Bria's chin. The "knocked-down" mother gently turned her daughter's head so they were making eye contact.

"It's okay," Ericia replied in a soft but teasing tone, "You have a few more years of growing. I'm sure if you drink your smilk, you can catch up to me."

Bria's blush got a bit deeper as she gently pulled her chin free. "Is there something you need, or do you just feel like teasing me?" she asked weakly.

Ericia smiled warmly, turned, and walked over to the counter, hips swinging slightly. Bria's face reddened a little more, jealous that her mother was more toned than hers.

"Yes," Ericia said after a moment. "Your uncles had an emergency at their jobs and couldn't take your cousin to the beach like promised."

Bria scowled as she had a good idea where her mother was going like this.

"So, I just happen to say you were free, and you could watch over him and his little friends," Ericia said slyly.

Bria growled as her mother looked at her knowingly. She opened her mouth to bite out a retort, but her mother quickly interrupted her.

"And don't tell me you're busy. You have been griping about your friends being rejuvenated all week." Ericia's face lit up as a thought came to her. "How about you take friends with you? I'm sure they would love to hang out with big sister Brriaaa!"

Bria finally reached the limit with her mother's teasing, and snapped, "What's great about being a DOWNER?"

Ericia's playful demeanor gave way to a more motherly aura, and she sighed. She turned back to the counter and went to back whatever she had been working on.

"Please don't use that term," Ericia seriously spoke. "It's not right to call rejuventatee such a demeaning term."

"I just don't get why so many like doing that?" Bria muttered sullenly.

Ericia laughed as she looked at her daughter. "I think the humans have a saying…you only hate something because you haven't tried it. Would you like to try getting "knocked-down" sometime?"

"Please," Bria retorted, scoffing at the idea. "I'm Bria Moldens! I don't follow trends! I make them!"

"If you say so, dear," Ericia replied, rolling her eyes and then grinned. "But you might want to change. I told your uncles you would be at their place in an hour. Don't want to go out looking like that."

Bria looked down and flushed slightly when she saw her pink sleeping pants with teddy slighterbeasts on them and pink sleeveless top.

The Gladus student groaned as she left the kitchen and went up the stairs and into her room. As she was changing, one thought popped into her head.

"...I hope I don't have another run-in with that group. I don't think my mind or body could handle it."

Unfortunately for her, she wouldn't get her wish, but those were stories for another time.

And with this, we go into the fourth day. And with the coming of the next day, I will be trying to start wrapping a few things up.
