When the clock struck 7:00 a.m, the geek said goodbye to his parents and ran to the nearest supermarket that was on the street.
He immediately entered the supermarket called "Cotsco" and grabbed the nearest shopping cart in his sight.
Cody knows he still has plenty of time to shop for supplies, but he'd rather do that first before he orders his bags for the next day.
He's not worried about the money he'll spend shopping for supplies; his parents have made a huge fortune due to their important jobs at major companies. Although not everything is happiness, his parents were busy almost every day due to their jobs, sometimes he would see them at the time when they would have dinner and go to sleep to regain some energy to go back to work.
And so the cycle went on and on, Cody had no choice but to get used to it.
Back to the main thing, he had already filled the shopping cart with the necessary supplies: insect repellent, a small camera, sunscreen, bandages, medical supplies and ancillary creams (Chris is not always faithful in providing free medical services), sunglasses, a deck of cards, some candies, and most importantly: bear repellent.
No matter what, he won't let a bear maul him again.
Just remembering how the bear attacked him, the geek felt very lucky to have survived that incident.
"Taking those barbecue flavored chips wasn't my smart move, I mean, why didn't I assume that some animal would be attracted to the smell of that snack?"
Cody decided not to answer that question himself, he now carried in both hands two large bags containing the things he bought. They are a bit heavy, but maybe that will serve as a little training before participating again in the challenges that were slowly becoming difficult to do. Originally, he didn't mind working out because he didn't think it would be necessary, but that thought changed when he entered Total Drama as a competitor.
"Maybe I'll decide to do some morning exercise at camp, it's a good way to start getting in shape."
After the geek arrived home, he now began to sort and packed the stuff he had bought in his suitcase.
The first thing he packed was his clothes, while doing so, he found the varsity jacket and the yellow scarf that his parents had given him for his birthday.
Originally, he hadn't taken them because he thought "The Codemeister" facade was cool enough and he didn't need that.
Oh, that was a bad decision.
"You know what? I'll wear them this time, I might as well make a good impression wearing the best gift my parents ever gave me."
Cody put the university jacket and scarf on the side of his bed while he continued to pack the rest of the stuff. After packing his clothes, he continued with the important items such as: the medicinal items, the two repellents, sunscreen, and lastly, his keyboard. After packing those, he proceeded to pack the common items such as: the candies, the deck of cards, dark glasses, among other things.
"Well, this only took me about 15 minutes, that's record time for me." Cody thought, smiling a little as he closed his suitcase already with the supplies packed.
Now the next thing, start planning how he would change things once he got back to Camp Wawanakwa.
"Let's see, first on my list is to not act like a jerk, I won't be looking to flirt with girls this time."
That wasn't so hard. Since he didn't return to Total Drama, he promised himself that no one would ever use him as a pawn or a punching bag for the rest of his life. Despite going back in time to the age of 16, he is still going to keep his promise.
"Heh, if I'm honest, what girl would be looking to date me?" Cody said sadly, while walking to his desk.
The geek opened the top drawer of his desk, taking out a notebook and a pencil. The idea he had in mind was to write down the events that occurred during each season of Total Drama, including the ones he didn't participate in.
"I don't think this will be that hard, this will take me an hour at least."
The clock now showed 11:00 p.m, the geek had his head on the desk while around him were some crumpled papers.
At the side of Cody's head was an empty cup, implying that he drank some coffee to keep himself awake.
He knows it's not good to drink coffee at his age, but what he was doing was more important than that.
Cody managed to write down almost all the events that happened in each season, although the tricky part was coming up with some ideas to change some events.
As an example, at first he thought that if he prevented Ezekiel from being eliminated, there wouldn't be any serious consequences since he would save his homeschooled friend. But he realized that if he did that, Courtney would be the first to be eliminated, which would cause her to become even more unbearable and extremely competitive because of that humiliation.
He doesn't want that to happen to Courtney, but he also wasn't going to give up on preventing Ezekiel from being the first eliminated.
As mentioned before, his determination to turn things around is quite strong.
And so the hours passed, until he managed to find the 'definitive' solutions that would help him turn things around.
It was a good thing that Cody had a very good memory. His participation in Total Drama was one of the biggest impacts in his life.
The geek slowly began to lift his face from the desk, he wasn't going to fall asleep like that.
"Okay, Now I just need to get some sleep."
Cody got up from his chair, stretching his arms a little. He looked at his desk with the crumpled papers on top of it, let out a sigh and started to sort things out.
Maybe it's not a big mess, but it should still be organized.
He had been taught since he was a little boy that he should always be organized with his things.
Besides, he didn't want to leave his room messy before he left for Camp Wawanakwa. As mentioned before, his parents were not at home much due to their jobs, that's why they had hired a maid to take care of that job. It is obvious that the girl was paid quite well for doing a great job in keeping the house clean and tidy, for now she was taking some well deserved vacations.
Cody threw the crumpled papers in the wastebasket, noting how his desk looked as if he hadn't used it.
He yawned a little, as he walked over to his bed and fell back on it.
"It's time to rest, tomorrow will be a great day for me."
The geek slowly closed his eyes and let himself fall back into the sweet clouds of the dream realm.
After a long night, the eagerly awaited day for the geek had arrived.
Thursday, June 5, 2008
He woke up very, very early, ready to be taken by car to the docks and then by boat to Camp Wawanakwa.
As he had planned yesterday, he was now wearing a different outfit from the one he had worn the first time. On his forehead were the black glasses he had bought, he was wearing a black t-shirt and on top of that was the red university jacket, and lastly, around his neck was the yellow scarf. He had looked at himself in a mirror before leaving home, admitting that his outfit looked more presentable than his usual clothes he wore on Island and World Tour.
You may be wondering, does that mean he would go back to wearing 'The Codemeister' facade?
The answer is simple.
Nope.
Cody wasn't going to wear that facade again, but that didn't mean he had to act like he was the first time. Basically, he's a new person with the opportunity to act better and make more friends than he had in the future. So, why not have some style while putting his plan into action?
"Now that I think about it, why is the yacht going a little faster?" Cody thought, watching out the window as it was rapidly approaching the dock.
He just shrugged, maybe the boat driver had been late in getting him there, he didn't think it would make any difference to his original entrance.
An awkward silence was present for a few minutes, he grabbed his suitcase and waited patiently for the sadistic host to call out to him in his classic mocking tone.
"Cody! The Codester! The Codemeister!" A voice was heard outside the yacht, Cody knew it was time to introduce himself to the rest of the cast.
The geek stepped foot outside the yacht, watching as the host had a smile on his face while offering him a high five.
This is strange, but who was he to waste the opportunity to make a good presentation.
"What's up, Chris?" He replied, as he returned the high five Chris offered him.
"Whoa, you look like you're cheered up to be here." Chris said, looking at the geek with a smile.
"What can I say? I'm pretty excited to be at this great camp, man." Cody replied, still clutching his suitcase.
"I can see it, I should congratulate you on being the first contestant to arrive."
"Wait, what?"
Cody directed his gaze behind Chris, noting how the rest of the cast had yet to arrive. He didn't know how to feel now, this didn't happen in the original timeline.
"Anyway, maybe you should wait on that part of the dock, in a moment the next camper will arrive." Chris said, pointing his hand back.
The geek just walked over there, still confused about this sudden change in his introduction to the program.
"Maybe it's just luck? I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if someone else had shown up instead of Beth in the original timeline."
Cody just shrugged, waiting on the dock somewhere while the host was also waiting standing at his side.
Two minutes had barely passed and a second boat had pulled up to the dock, implying that Beth had arrived on the island. As had originally happened, Beth got out of the yacht and ran to the host with the intention of giving him a hug. But as if Chris had guessed what she was going to do, he moved a few centimeters before the farmer accomplished her task, which led to Beth accidentally hugging Cody.
"I definitely didn't see this coming." Cody thought, watching as the host only smiled mockingly as he looked at him and the farm girl.
Beth immediately opened her eyes, realizing who she was actually hugging. Without missing a beat, she stopped hugging the geek and pulled away a little.
"H-hey, sorry for the surprise hug." Beth said, as she smiled nervously.
Cody let out a small laugh, as he looked at the farm girl. "Hehe, don't worry about it. I'm sure it was an accident. By the way, my name's Cody."
"Nice to meet you, Cody!" the farm girl replied cheerfully, still smiling but without the nervousness from before.
"Wow, looks like The Codester just made one of his moves on the second camper!" Chris said with a teasing tone, causing Beth to blush a little and try to hide it by covering her face with her hands.
"It was too good to be real, but I'm not surprised. This is Chris we're talking about."
Cody smiled, ignoring the host's teasing, "It's nice to meet you too, Beth. I hope we can get along."
The sound of the other boat's engine pulling into the dock interrupted the embarrassing moment for the farm girl. Both campers looked at the third camper who had arrived on the island, it was the gentle giant named DJ. Cody kept his smile, I mean, who wouldn't miss seeing the nicest guy in the program again. Well, aside from Owen, that guy was a ball full of warmth and affection, mostly farts, but also warmth.
"Hey, what's up, little dude. My name is DJ." The giant Jamaican greeted the geek with a fist bump, and he returned the gesture delightedly.
"It's good to meet you again, my friend."
"It's kind of unfair that the brochure doesn't mention all this mess, huh?" DJ asked the group, trying to make small talk.
Cody shrugged. "Maybe it'll be kind of boring, but at least we can meet new people. Until now, I've already met two nice people."
DJ smiled to hear that, he walked over to Beth and the two began to have a friendly talk.
When Gwen arrived on the island, the geek just looked at the goth girl with some discomfort. Even though he had returned to the past, he still couldn't get used to seeing his old platonic love again. This time he would make sure that the relationship between Gwen and Trent is not ruined due to the presence of a certain punk and the strange habits that the guitarist had, although the plan for that situation is complicated to realize because the geek didn't participate in Action.
Cody offered her a wave, which resulted in the goth just ignoring him and walking to an empty part of the dock.
"I forgot how cold and distant Gwen was at the beginning of this season."
And then Geoff's introduction followed, the geek raised his hand in greeting, the party boy smiled and high-fived him. Cody may not have talked to him much, but the two of them got along quite well in the future, the party boy had sent him invitations to go to one of his parties he was throwing with Bridgette. Unfortunately, the geek's job didn't allow him to enjoy those parties due to the assignments left by his boss.
"This time I'd better find myself a better job that suits my preferences."
The next person to arrive on the island was Duncan, which was a surprise to the geek, this is the second time the order of introductions were changed. Cody watched as the punk gave his first impression to the others in a rude manner, he just watched and didn't give the punk a greeting.
And it wasn't because he still hated him; in fact, they had already made up.
In the future, Duncan managed to get out of jail because he made contact with a competitor from the original cast: Cody. It turns out that Chris still wasn't over the destruction of his mansion during All Stars, so the ex-host had paid a sum of money to keep the punk in jail for many more years. As until Duncan turns 50, there he would be free to enjoy the half of life he has left.
The geek decided to pay Duncan's bail to be released from jail, no one else in the cast was going to help him because he had proven that he was irredeemable when he wanted to go back to acting as the bad-guy. Once he was released from jail, the geek had a talk with the punk about what happened while he was incarcerated. It was an unexpected surprise that Duncan dropped the bad-guy attitude and spoke with a bit of kindness, who knew that being in prison made him change for the better.
On the same day that the geek traveled back in time, the reformed delinquent had written him a message asking him a favor to help him with a someone named "Evelyn".
Who was she? He had no idea, and he would never know.
"Don't think about that, just focus now on trying to get along with each other."
Cody made sure to give each of the cast a hearty greeting along with a warm smile.
Lindsay had nicely returned the greeting, the geek knew that she and Tyler were one of the few couples that Total Drama didn't manage to ruin. They were both kind of dumb or brainless, but despite everything, they both made a good couple and lasted much longer than other romantic relationships.
"Maybe those two lovebirds had planned to get married in the future?"
That's another question no one would answer to him.
Tyler couldn't return the greeting due to the fact that he was trying to water ski during his presentation, which ended with him going flying through the air. Unfortunately for Cody, the athlete had crashed into him instead of the pile of suitcases on the dock. At least the crash had no serious damage to the two boys, except the sunglasses that the geek was wearing had been broken due to the incident.
"Those were $300 sunglasses, man..."
Heather arrived and just ignored his greeting, the geek wasn't surprised by that.
Heather in the future was someone different from this Heather, she had already been through a lot of ordeal in every challenge in her effort to win the suitcase with the million dollars inside. Although she managed to win against Alejandro and humiliate him on national television, destiny had other plans and Ezekiel ruined the sweet victory she had worked so hard to achieve.
Back to the present, he knew that Heather in the first season was very evil, or in Leshawna's words, she was a total bitch. Cody knew he would have a lot of work to do if he wanted Heather to not take out some of her friends, but at the same time try to get her to be a little friendlier to others.
"At least it was nice to have made it to the three finalists with you, Heather."
The rest of the introductions followed their original timeline, now everyone was on the other side of the dock for Chris to take a group photo of them. Cody decided to stand on the far left of the cast. He knows the dock will collapse at any moment due to all the weight of the cast, it's a risky move but he didn't want to get the clothes he was wearing wet at those moments.
"Not this time, Chris." Cody thought, as he prepared to jump at any moment.
"Okay. Everybody say Wawanakwa!" Chris said, smiling as he raised the camera.
"Wawanakw-AHHHHHHH!" Everyone immediately fell into the water along with the wreckage of the dock, while Cody managed to jump just in time to the solid part of the dock.
Chris looked at him in surprise, but then started laughing at the funny scene, "Nice reflexes, Cody! Although those guys do want to talk to you."
The geek blinked, turning around and watching as most of his former friends looked at him with surprise but also a bit of anger. He just giggled nervously, he could have warned them that the dock was going to fall down at any moment, but if he did they would take him for a lunatic.
"Hehehe. Sorry, guys." He said, noticing how some of the cast just sighed and began to approach the shore of the island.
"Alright, Dry up and meet me at the campfire ceremony. We'll talk about today's announcement!".
Cody knows the time has come for the teams to form up, luckily, he has a plan in mind for his former homeschooled friend.
As he sped away from the dock, he didn't notice how the delinquent was looking at him with a raised eyebrow.
Cody hurried to the campfire and sat where Ezekiel had originally sat, a few minutes later the rest of the cast arrived and took their original seats, except for the homeschooled boy who sat where the geek was in the original timeline.
"Good! Now I just have to get up from here before Chris gets to the campfire."
The geek looked to his side, seeing Beth standing there waiting for the host to arrive. Maybe he should give the seat to the farmer, it would be a good way to not draw the suspicions of the others.
Cody rose from his seat, making a formal gesture to the farm girl. "Senorita, allow me to give you my seat. I don't want a friendly lady like you to tire yourself out while waiting for our host Chris to arrive to give us the announcement of the day." He said with a kind tone.
Beth fixed her attention on the geek, a little surprised by the proposal. "A-Are you sure, Cody?" She said with a nervous tone.
"Yep. Don't worry, it wouldn't be bad for me to stand for a few minutes."
The farm girl looked at the geek for a few minutes, before smiling nervously and sitting down in the empty seat.
"Well, that's a good way to be nice to my friend who made me almost drown at the lake in the original timeline."
Cody waved goodbye to Beth, as he walked over to where Ezekiel was sitting. Unknowingly, he didn't notice the small blush on the farm girl's face.
A small headache began to bother the geek, he doesn't know what that's due to since team building doesn't happen yet.
"Hey, are you okay, eh?" A familiar voice asked him.
Cody looks at his side, noticing how the home study guy was looking at him with concern. He still can't get used to seeing his old friend again without seeing him as the feral creature he was in his future, but now he's in the past. This is no time for him to let his headache get the best of him, it's time to try to help his old friend.
"Yeah, I'm fine. It's just a little headache, no big thing." Cody said, smiling a little as he tried to ignore his minor headache.
"It's okay, eh. Good to know." Ezekiel said, trying to sound friendly.
"Thanks. By the way, my name's Cody." The geek extended his hand to shake it.
The homeschooled boy hesitated for a few seconds but returned the gesture along with a smile. "I'm Ezekiel, but you can call me Zeke."
"Whatever happens, I'm going to save you from suffering that horrible fate."
Both young men stopped the gesture and looked ahead, watching as the host had just arrived on the scene.
"Welcome to Camp Wawanakwa, your home for 8 weeks. The campers sitting around you will be your cabin mates, your competition and maybe even your friends, understand?" Chris said, flashing his typically memorable smile.
Cody saw Harold smirking at the punk, to which he responded with a menacing fist that made the nerd stop smiling.
"Being honest, I really don't like having to put up with the classic Duncan with the bad-guy attitude."
"The camper who manages to stay on Total Drama Island the longest to the end without getting kicked out wins the briefcase with the hundred thousand dollars!"
"Yo Chris. What will the sleeping arrangements be? Because I don't mind sleeping next to her." Duncan said pointing to Heather.
"Really, Duncan?..." Cody thought, rolling his eyes at that scene.
Heather just answered that with a disgusted face, "This isn't mixed, is it?" She said.
"Don't worry. We thought about some of you trying to do some fun business, so we decided there would be a separate side for boys and girls."
"Makes sense. Putting 22 teenagers in a camp is a risky idea."
"Hey, Kyle, can I stay in the cabin overlooking the lake because I'm the prettiest?" Lindsay asked, raising her hand.
"Yes, you are. But that's not really how it works. And my name is Chris, not Kyle."
Cody looked to the side, watching as Duncan annoyed a deer, oh man, if he only knew it would be his turn later on to take on the role of a deer.
"Here's the deal." The sadistic host said as he held up a list. "Let's split into teams, if I say your name, stand here." He said pointing to the spot.
The geek looked at the list with a bit of fear, hoping his plan would work and he wouldn't have to resort to the second plan to save Zeke from elimination.
"Gwen, Trent, Heather, Cody, Tyler, Beth, Ezekiel, Owen, Leshawna, Lyndsay and Noah." He held out a green cloth to her. "As of this moment, you are known as...The Screaming Gophers!"
He tosses it to Owen to reveal an image of a large gourd ready to hit someone.
That looks absurd, but at the same time it looks cool.
"I'm a Gopher! Woo!" Owen said excitedly, showing even more of the cloth with the team symbol on it.
"YES, I DID IT! Ezekiel is in...Wait, how is Tyler on our team?" Cody didn't get to finish asking himself that question when a intense headache began to bother him.
He felt the headache feel twice as bad as the first one he felt when he time traveled, it made him almost fall to the ground...if it hadn't been that Ezekiel had grabbed him by the shoulder. Trent had also approached him, giving the geek a worried look.
"Dude, are you okay? What just happened to you?" the guitarist asked with a concerned tone, helping Ezekiel keep Cody from falling to the ground.
Cody was still trying to deal with the headache, but managed to give him a smile. "D-don't worry, it's just a few minor headaches." He said.
"I think it would be better if we helped him get there, eh." Ezekiel said, pointing to where Chris had directed them.
Trent nodded as he held the geek, walking along with the home study guy to the indicated spot. Cody began to notice how some of the cast campers were looking at him with concern, and even saw Duncan looking at him with...pity? Maybe he's seeing wrong, for now he just needs to wait those five minutes and he'll be good as new again.
"I don't get it...Why did Tyler and Justin end up on opposite teams?..."
Chris looked silently at the scene, before smiling again and continuing to read the list of campers' names.
"The rest of you over here. Geoff, Bridgette, DJ, Justin, Katie, Sadie, Courtney, Izzy, Duncan, Eva and Harold. You will be known as...The Killer Bass!" The red cloth revealed a menacing looking fish.
Cody didn't think of any comment on that logo, he decided to stay quiet as he counted down the remaining four minutes to get rid of the headache.
"It's amazing, it's like...amazing." said Harold, holding up the red cloth.
"Look, Katie, we're on the same team! Isn't it amazing?"
"I know, Sadie. Together we'll be invincible!"
"Alright campers, you and your teams will be on camera in all public areas during this competition."
Ezekiel raised his hand, the host looking at him with a raised eyebrow. "Yes, Ezekiel?"
"What if all the cameras suddenly stop working, eh?" The home study guy asked, while still holding the geek by the other side of his shoulder.
"Good question, my man. If the security cameras go out, we'll postpone it for a while until it's fixed." Replied the host.
"Interesting..." Duncan said quietly, trying not to be overheard by his team.
"Speaking of cameras, you guys will also share your innermost thoughts on tape, with video diaries, whenever you want. Let the audience at home know what you're really thinking or just get something off your chest." Chris said with a mocking tone, showing a photo of the outhouse.
Confessional Cam - C.C
We can see Gwen look towards the camera with a bored look on her face.
"Um...okay...so now, this really sucks.". Gwen said for the first time on the toilet cam. "But I hope things get interesting."
Static
Ezekiel is looking up at the camera, watching it curiously.
"This is weird but funny, eh." Ezekiel said, before picking his nose with his finger. "I'm sure I can win this, eh."
Static
We are then shown a bird applying pink lipstick and then stops when it sees the camera.
Static
Owen is shown sitting on the toilet, looking with a serious look at the camera.
"Hey guys! I have something very important to say...". Owen said, before letting off a gas and starting to laugh.
Static
Duncan has two fingers on his chin, ignoring the camera's presence.
"Hmm, where have I seen that geek? I feel like he looks familiar, but I don't know why..." Duncan said, before looking towards the camera and smiling mischievously.
He then pulls a spray paint from his pockets, starting to spray it in front of the camera.
Static
The camera lens was only transmitting black, but that disappeared when someone was using a cloth to wipe it off. That person was Cody.
"I just want to tell you that my headaches are a normal thing for me. I've been through a lot of somewhat stressful situations before I signed up for this camp, just look at me, I'm good as new now!" Cody lied, smiling reassuringly as he tossed aside the cloth already darkened by the black paint.
"Gophers, you're in the East cabin. Bass, you're in the West." Chris said, pointing to both cabins with his hands.
After the host had explained where each camper would be sleeping, some went inside the cabins to drop off their gear.
Inside the boys' cabin, everyone was setting up their stuff as they chose who they would share bunks with.
Cody carefully pulled his keyboard out of his suitcase, this instrument might come in handy in future challenges, and would also be a fun way to distract himself.
"Hey, nice keyboard! Do you know how to use it, dude?" Trent said, smiling as he held his guitar in his hand.
"Yeah! I've taken a few lessons, though I haven't quite mastered it like a pro yet." Cody said, smiling as he proudly showed off his keyboard.
Trent just laughed, as he placed his stuff on the first bunk bed. "Mind if I claim the top bunk, man?" He said.
The geek looked up in surprise, originally he didn't have a bunkmate due to the fact that he was the last one to choose. But now that seemed to have changed, maybe this would help him be friends with the guitarist earlier. Plus, he'd also have someone he could try to write some songs with.
"Sure!" Cody replied, excited. Trent raised his hand with the intention of fist-bumping the geek, which he returned the gesture with glee.
"You know, I'm sure we could do a duet together. Think about it, I play my guitar and you play your keyboard, sounds like a good idea, right?"
Before Cody could respond, Ezekiel was heard moaning in pain from falling off the second bunk bed.
Tyler immediately helped him up, lifting him off the floor. "Dude, maybe you should take the first bunk." The athlete said.
"Ugh, I think it's for the best. Thanks for helping me out, eh." Ezekiel said gratefully, as he placed his suitcase on the first bed.
Trent and Cody looked on in silence, before they both just chuckled a little as they walked away to each do their own thing.
"I don't know how things will change with Tyler here, at least Heather won't bother Lindsay about her crush on him now that he's on our team."
"I'm glad we're in our cabin with just guys, you know what I mean?" Cricket chirps as Trent, Tyler and Noah look on unimpressed, Cody grimaces slightly at the chubby guy's words.
Owen realized what he said, "I-I mean-" Cody immediately slapped his hand over Owen's mouth, it's best to keep him from burning further.
"Dude. Just stop it. You're just digging a grave here." The geek said as he pulled his hand away, the chubby blond just nodded and walked away.
Cody looked at the bookworm sitting on a bed, reading a book. He geek decided to make his move to be his friend.
"Heya." Cody greeted Noah politely.
"Hey." Noah returned his greeting in a monotone as he continued to read his book.
"What are you reading?" Cody sit down next to him. Noah looked at him and then went back to reading.
"Hamlet. Right now I'm reading the most shocking moment in the story."
"Oh, isn't that where Hamlet is killed at the hands of his brother Claudius?"
This caught the bookworm's attention. "Have you read Hamlet too?" He said.
"Yes. I feel bad for Hamlet when he meets his demise. Which led to the story having a sad ending, still it's a classic in literature books."
"Finally! Someone who knows how to read books!" Noah said, smiling a little. "Last time I said I enjoyed reading, some wannabe jock at school made me a wedgie for being a nerd."
Cody shrugged, smiling a little. "I know what you mean, a lot of times the bullies at my school lock me in the lockers just because I'm a geek."
"Now it makes sense. At first I thought you were the popular guy at your school because of the clothes you're wearing." Noah said.
"Well, I decided to wear these clothes to make a good impression on the other campers."
A loud thunderous scream echoed through the cabin, causing Cody, Noah and the other boys to stop and look at the others with concern. They realized that this scream was coming from the girls' side of the cabin, Cody immediately remembered exactly what was going on.
"Ooh, that white girl sure can scream!" Leshawna said running towards the spot along with everyone else who heard it.
Trent ran to the other side of the cabin, Cody following him at a slow walk. He already knew what was going to happen, there was no need for him to intervene.
When the guitarist and the geek were at the door, they saw Lindsay standing on a chair, looking frightened at a cockroach.
"WHAT'S THAT?! KILL IT! KILL IT! KILL IT!" DJ yelled, letting out the most unmanly scream and jump on some unfortunate soul's bed, breaking it in the process.
"That was my bed..." Gwen complained, but everyone ignored her as they try to avoid or stomp on the cockroach.
Cody calculated the movements, watching as the cockroach was approaching Trent's foot. The geek smiled and faked that he tripped over some object, accidentally bumping into Trent and causing the guitarist to accidentally stomp the cockroach to death.
"With this first good act Trent's done, I'm sure he'll have won some points with Gwen."
"Well, that's a weird way to kill the cockroach..." said Gwen, as she gave a smile to a confused Trent.
And suddenly, Lindsay walked up to the guitarist and enveloped him in a tight hug.
"Oh thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!" Lindsay exclaimed as she hugged the guitarist tightly, unknowingly putting his face over her large breasts.
Gwen sighed, going to retrieve her suitcase from her now ruined bed.
"Umm, that should worry me?..." He thought, watching in surprise as his friend began to turn red with embarrassment.
"Ahem, Lindsay. You can stop now." Cody said, seeing the guitarist about to pass out. She eventually did.
"You know, I could have taken care of that for you, Lindsay." Tyler tried to be brave with the person he likes.
"No, thanks. Traint took care of it." The athlete just sighed in disappointment.
The geek scratched his head a little nervously, this didn't go as he had planned.
"Wait, where's Duncan? He was supposed to show up here."
A small headache again bothered the geek, leading him to let out a bored sigh.
"Listen up, maggots! I serve three times a day and you'll eat three times a day, bring your tray, take your food and rest your butts ON YOUR CHAIRS!".
Cody gave Chef Hatchet the same look as the rest of the cast, but not out of fear or awe of the man.
In the future, Chef Hatchet proved that he wasn't like Chris or the producers either, when he made a public apology to all the participants. He earned the respect of most of the cast, so much so that some past contestants decided to send him gifts and large sums of money as a way of thanking him.
Cody smiled at the memory, picking up the food the cook had served him and sitting down at one of the tables.
While the rest were too preoccupied trying to decide whether or not it was worth starving or not after taking a look at Chef Hatchet's food.
Cody had already started eating without hesitation.
He had gotten used to the man's food quite easily during his short stay on Island, and even more so during the tough World Tour season.
...
Is it delicious? Nope.
...
Is it horrible? Nope.
...
Is it free and acceptable? Yep!
...
"At least this tastes better than the lunches my boss used to hand out at work. Those lunches were the worst."
The rest were starting to look on in surprise as he ate without any complaints, Ezekiel looked back down at his food and shrugged, starting to eat too.
"Hey man, can we order some pizza?", Geoff asked, the chef in response threw a kitchen knife at him which went over his head and crashed into the cafeteria entrance.
"Wow, that's great, brown slop is great!" The other campers nodded frantically as Chef grunted, though he looked with a raised eyebrow at the geek who ate his food without complaint.
"Alright, everyone. Bring out your swimsuits and get ready for your first challenge!" Chris said as he came into the dining room, glancing to the side at Chef Hatchet's knife embedded in the doorway.
"It can't be that hard, right? I mean, it's the first challenge." said DJ.
"Dude, I think you just gave us all bad luck." Cody said, looking at the gentle giant.
"I agree with DJ, I don't think this first challenge is too hard." Tyler said.
Everyone now looked at the bottom of the slope, while standing in their swimsuits.
"Oh shit..." Dj and Tyler said at the same time.
Hello everyone, here's your friend 'Mr. G' with a few things to say.
I've seen the comments on the first chapter, I'm glad to hear that you liked it and left your opinions on it.
As you may have noticed, Cody has managed to give most of the cast a good introduction, except with Gwen and Heather who just ignored him.
To his misfortune, he experienced in a painful way what his next headaches will be like if he keeps changing the events of the canon in a big way. And that's just the beginning, for now the only changes that happened are that Ezekiel and Tyler are on "The Screaming Gophers" team, while Izzy, Katie and Justin are on "The Killer Bass" team.
Cody thinks he made the best plans to turn things around...that's far from the truth.
Anyway, thanks for checking this out, tell me if you like it and tell me if you don't! Comments are always appreciated, my friends.
In the second part you'll see who will be the first eliminated of the season :)
Without anything else to say, see you in the next chapter.
