It's been four months. Poppy is… pregnant, surprise… as is Rin. Delilah is due any day now, she's a very happy, also sore and cranky mother to be. It's been… admittedly, a bit of a brightness given everything.
When I'm not dealing with monsters for Blood Echoes or on my 'days off ' with the girls, I'm studying my Dark Skill Trees. I don't like them but they have uses. I'd like to know more but I haven't been able to contact Jaaku since we arrived. Our mental link is blocked, but the quirk still works fine so it's just the mental link that's blocked.
Hmm… okay, well, first up… there are multiple. So far I have the Taboo, Slave Master, Slaver, and Sinner…
Taboo oddly is blank.
Sinner is the most diverse so far. Seven branches, which makes sense, seven sins. Right now… Lust is what's open. That's where Rapist sits…
I groaned, hating this so much that I am now officially a Rapist. "All because they're technically 'not people'..." I groaned, hating that so much how people can just…not be people anymore is complete bullshit. "So…what nonsense do these skills have…"
[Rapist: Title Skill, No Enhancements given.
Obedience: Marked Slaves will obey your orders when given so long as your will surpasses their own.
Blindness: The stronger your will over them the less likely they will listen to others.
Terror: Implants fear of failing you.
Enslavement: Enslave others to your will.
Manipulation: Over time brainwashes the enslaved into no longer seeking freedom.
Marked Ownership: Enslaved beings will display a mark alerting others they are owned by you. Can only be broken or overwritten by one of stronger will.]
Well… that's all just horrible…
"Wow…this makes me feel even worse." I stated with a giant frown.
What worse is that with Rapist being a title skill, it appears on all forms of a Scan of me…
I let my head hit the desk… crap…
I pulled myself up. Okay, come on, focus Midoriya! Uses… okay Enslavement just says it enslaves others… it doesn't specify if they can be monsters or people… if I can use it on Monsters, then maybe I can use it like a form of Beast Taming?
"Well…that could work…" I hummed, thinking if I could use it as a makeshift Beast Taming rather than actual…enslavement…
Right now that's all I got… weird that Taboo is unlocked but also has nothing there. Weird…
Okay, now then… what could be of use right now. Food is okay for now but can always use more. Main issue is weapons. Not that many monsters drop them…
"Maybe I just need to find them? I mean, the Hunter's Dream is a thing so that should mean this place has Hunters? Maybe there are some hidden spots or items that can help me find Hunter caches?"
I wondered about the ideas for a time. Actually, I haven't been to the Hunters Dream in a while. Turns out I can go at will rather than every time I sleep. There should be more or something there.
"Hmm….well I suppose I can go there tonight…" I said with some thought. "Though i should also look at every piece of information I can get from around here…maybe it can lead me somewhere good instead of just mindlessly wandering around…"
I closed up my notebooks and went to check on everyone. For the most part everyone has adapted to the situation. Which is good.
Sonya has been trying to lead some of the girls in making an indoor greenhouse. A warehouse sized room, some makeshift sun lamps and various planters have at least made it doable, if in small quantities.
"So far things are going well." I sighed thankfully.
I entered the greenhouse, immediately finding Sonya and ten others all working and tending to the plants here. Some of the girls have earth and nature based magic. It helps the plants grow fast but the soil becomes dry and withers quick.
"Hey Sonya." I waved to her. "How's everything going?"
"Hi Midoriya." She said, giving me a smile before she looked back at a potted cabbage. "So far so good. We can get three harvests before the soil isn't any good anymore. But we're trying to make a way for it to re-fertilize it."
"Well…" I tried to think of how to fix this. "Crap, I really wish I studied botany and agriculture…" I sighed. "But what's the way you have so far?"
"In short, mixing old leaves and poop together with the old soil, but without worms it's not exactly the best method."
"True, and most of the 'worms' I've seen are…not the good kind." I shuddered.
"I've been going out during the day, hoping maybe I could find a garden or even maggots eating at corpses but nothing."
"Yeah, they mostly appear at night but…aren't really the kind we need."
"Do you mind asking Patches? I'd ask him myself but… he creeps me out."
"I will, and don't worry…he sometimes creeps me out to." I nodded.
With a quick kiss goodbye I quickly headed out to find Patches. The huge spider with a human head was at his shop as usual, only now he seems to have another customer. They sat in a chair, dressed in a rather fancy outfit. Some high quality fabrics with gold decorations sewn into them, a head dress that covered their eyes, exposing only their nose, mouth and chin.
What skin of theirs I could see was pale, almost albino looking and they seemed to either be human or humanoid.
"Ah, Midoriya, how goes it?" Patches asked.
"Hey there Patches, I see your busy with another customer?"
"Oh him, don't worry about it, he's not so much a customer as he is an investor. Now, what can I do for ya if I am able?" Patches asked.
"Do you have any insects that can help with farming?" I inquired.
"Hmm, nothing alive I'm afraid." Patches said.
"Farming?" The man asked. "You're in need of a proper farm?"
I looked over to him.
"Well, we do have a proper farm but it won't last long if we don't figure things out." I said carefully. "Can you help?"
"Is your house made from land on Armageddon or is it modified with a pocket dimension home engine?"
"Pocket Dimension home engine, due to my home, the mountain that appeared in this place, was teleported here by 'immigration'."
"I see." The man said, reaching into his cloak and pulling out what looked like a generator, but with the image of a planet on it. "Attach this to your homes engine and you will be able to make a planet room, perfect for farming, guarding, and will be a nice change of pace compared to the usual dull colors The Nightmare has to offer."
"Uh…and how much will this cost?" I asked worriedly, considering where I am I was genuinely surprised at such generosity that I thought there had to be a catch.
"No charge." He laughed, as if so used to that question it was funny to him now.
My eyes widened as I carefully took the machine. "Thank you sir…this…I'm sorry for thinking there was a catch just…well, where we are and all." I said sheepishly.
"I understand. Most people don't trust a gift when nothing is asked of them in return. You must still be new here."
"Yeah, I haven't been here for long considering…well, I was kidnapped not too long ago." I admitted.
"I have heard Nexus was planning something like that. It's bold for them to have done so."
"Sounded more like a Cult leader than Nexus." I said honestly. "But I suppose they're the same from what I've heard."
"Most likely." The man nodded. "I hope you and the others brought here will do well."
"I made a promise to be a great hero to this place, so hopefully it all works out." I said honestly. "Oh, I forgot to ask your name sir."
"Oh, that isn't important." He said, reaching back into his cloak and pulling out a necklace with a gold shield on it. "Take this, if you need anything in the future, feel free to ask."
Confused, I took the necklace, and once I did, he was gone. I didn't even blink… he was just… not there anymore.
"Uh…who was that?" I asked,
"That was the man known as The Saint of Armageddon." Patches said.
"Huh…" I said. "Um…and who would that be? Cause they sound super important."
"Oh they are. Number Three most wanted on the Chaos Guild Capture list, that man goes around the whole planet giving settlements whatever they ask and need all for free. He's saved whole settlements from starvation, raids and just keeps doing it."
"So…he's like…the number one hero on this planet?" I inquired. "And third most wanted?"
"Lot of the real nasty Chaos Guilds don't like people helping out settlements, especially for free. So, they put a bounty on his head. Last I heard his bounty is at forty nine Septendecillion Rem."
I sputtered at how much Rem that was. "And…who are the other two most wanted?"
"Psychopath Philip, and the most wanted by all the guids actually is a former Nexus Leader known as Split."
"And…what did those two do if being a literal Saint on this entire planet is worse?" I asked. "I can imagine being the former Nexus Leader could lead to too much 'insider information' getting spread around…but who's this Philip person?"
"Let's just say his kill count against the chaos guilds and their members… rival their own across their history in the new reality."
I gulped… That much power… to just slaughter them all as they slaughter others…
"Oh…okay so…that's…that's good to know." I said weakly.
"Yes, there are some unique and powerful people here. Just too much shit going on everywhere for any notable differences."
"So…I'm probably never going to become as strong as them…ever." I said slowly, especially hating how my promise to be the greatest hero on Apocalypse might never happen due to the Saint being…well, the third strongest person on the planet.
"Ah, don't sell yourself short. They've all been here as early as late era one, early era two. Just gonna be a while."
"And what era is it again?" I asked, remembering that each 'Era' was about Centillion years or so.
"Era four."
"So…they had three centillion years, and I feel like I don't have that long before shit goes sideways…"
Patches shrugged. "It's Armageddon. If it's not sideways then something is very wrong." He said with a laugh. "Well, head back and get that thing hooked up into your house. Trust me, that will help you out greatly."
"Yep, this is going to help immensely." I said readily.
I quickly went back home and after Rin helped install the generator, the house made a new door and after ten minutes we were able to open it. Inside was… a world… a whole planet.
"This planet will be about as big as earth back home." Rin informed. "I even modified some stuff so the geography is almost identical to japan even."
I was just happy to see green plants and smell clean air.
"Finally, fresh air."
"This is going to help us greatly. Look, there's even animals like the planet yards we used to have." Sonya said, pointing at some deer that were running through trees. "This is going to help so much."
"Oh yeah, this is going to help us immensely." I said with a warm smile. "Thank the Saint for this."
"So you met the actual Saint of Armageddon?" Rin asked.
"Apparently I did." I said honestly. "Random chance, they were talking to Patches about something, but they decided to give me the World Engine and…well, vanished like they were never there."
"Wow… so that's what meeting a God is like…" Rin said in thought-
Hold up, a God?!
"Hold up what!?" I asked in shock. "A God? Like…a literal full blown God?"
"Yeah. People can ascend and become gods in this reality Midoriya."
"I mean…sure, the Saint is over three centillion years old but…isn't it really hard to become a God?"
"Well, from what I know you have to be a certain level of strong either strength or magic wise but preferably both. Once you meet the basic criteria there are several methods to send to a God." Rin said.
"Huh…that's…interesting." I said honestly. "But I doubt I'm strong enough…or ever will be."
"It just takes time. Some people work for it, some are born being gods, it all depends, but either way I'm sure you can get there with time." Sonya said.
"Alright." I nodded. "It's…still a lot to hear that I literally met a god…and also the third most wanted person on this planet."
"What were you expecting when meeting a God?" Rin asked.
"Not…that?" I said uncommitted. "Like…I expected more…pomp and circumstance I guess? Not just a guy in a fancy suit and headdress…or at least me knowing I was talking to a God than just…a guy."
"Everyone here, normal person, god, admin, void admin, demon, ghost, angel, whatever they are, they're all still people. I am technically a spirit, remember?" Sonya asked. "While with my mountain I can be considered a God, it also takes followers and other things."
"I know." I sighed, rubbing the back of my head. "Things are getting more complicated…"
"So, want to help map this room?"
"Yeah, it's gonna be a while." I said. "But at least we get some non-violent exploring for once."
With that I happily used various Quirks to get around. Warp helped me cross valleys and mountains. Explosion gave me an aerial view of the land, it was almost exactly like the yard back home…
I do wonder what happened to that? Maybe it just got left behind?
I also caught a few wild chickens and boar and put them in some pens. That will at least be a start to having a supply of fresh eggs and meat. Right now there are ten thousand of us. On a planet the size of earth that's more than enough land and resources to make use of. Add mining, fishing and such that is still more than enough. Way easier for this planet to sustain that the six billion back home…
It would also be great for the kids… clean air, sun, all in all, safer than the rest of the Nightmare…
Yeesh… still can't believe it… first Delilah, then… Poppy, and now Rin. These girls are gonna keep the population growing that's for sure…
I know Izukie and Three talked about adoption. The old world Synthetics and Organics weren't compatible yet…
I shook my head. Yeesh, all these thoughts about kids and- Aww crap, we need teachers too. At least for basic math and writing. Got a lot of work to put in… well, at least I'm not alone doing it.
"Well, at least its going to go a lot better than before…" I sighed. "Just one step at a time…"
I sat next to Delilah, who was holding our daughter in her arms, wrapped in a blanket and sleeping soundly. She was very small, half the size of most human babies but apparently that's normal for Delilah's species. She had a green tail and ears with her mom's orange fur hair and eyes.
It was an easy birth thankfully, and now a week later little Daisy is here.
I just… can't stop watching her.
"If I'd have known having a baby would help keep you in the house I'd have gotten knocked up way earlier." Delilah said.
"Shush you." I huffed. "It's just…me being a father is…surreal to be honest."
"Heh, hey now, is it really that surreal?"
"Considering what's been going on for a while? A bit, yes." I nodded. "I…I never thought I'd be a father before…"
"Had I not vanished from home you would have been." Rin said, taking a seat next to me on the other side as well. She then gave me a kiss on the cheek.
"Eh…" I said nervously, not entirely sure if she would have fully helped my through…all that dog shit.
"Hey!" She poked me in the collar bone. "I mean it. Had I never vanished, I'd have been dating and married to you. That's a fact."
"Depression doesn't always work the way people think it should." I admitted.
"So you're saying I wouldn't have made a good source of support and love?"
"You would have, don't get me wrong." I said quickly, waving my hands back and forth quickly as I grew nervous about this. "Just…it's hard to explain…"
"Midoriya just believes that back home they weren't worth the effort." Delilah said.
"You were to me. Before I vanished and even after." Rin said. "Finding out you were here. My Midoriya, it was the best day of my life."
"One person isn't always enough…" I shook my head. "It was one person that made me jump and…somehow magically got here." I motioned to everything.
"Do you think if you didn't jump you might not have ended up here?" Delilah asked.
"Maybe? Cause there is possibly a cause and effect that happened." I shrugged.
"I dunno." Rin said with a shrug. "I was just walking home with my parents and then… poof. I'm in a church on Valdora." Rin said. "Nothing traumatic or death near just… I was gone."
"That's…strange." I said with a frown. "Maybe it's different for everyone? What was the last thing you thought of?"
"Hmm… I was thinking about the beef stew mom was gonna make, and I was hoping to watch cartoons with dad." Rin said in thought.
"Huh…" I frowned. "The last thing I thought…was if my next life could let me be a hero…"
"Well… try not and think thoughts like that please…"
"Hard not to when…Bakugo was ultimately right…" I sighed.
"Well, so far you have proved him wrong." Delilah said. "Honestly if you ever get to go back home I'm pretty sure you could launch him into orbit."
"That would be funny." I admitted.
"Well, I for one hope we do get to go home someday. We can beat some manners into Bakugou when we get back." Rin said, giving a very villain like grin.
"We're not villains." I said quickly.
"Alright… mildly injured then…" Rin said, frowning before chuckling.
"Seeing Bakugo in pain aside," I said quickly, hoping to steer this conversation away from hurting people. "Me being a dad is…still different."
"Well, get used to it, cause Poppy and I will be due sometime later, Poppy being a Breeder means constant kids for her…" Rin sighed. "Plus ya know, all of us want at least one kid with you."
"Would be nice." Delilah nodded. "Though, I've already got mine." She smiled, nuzzling Daisy's nose with her own gently.
"I know." I nodded. "This is going to be…very bad for my hips…"
"Especially if you save more Breeders." Rin added.
I sighed…
"I…really really hate that part…" I sighed. "I know saving them is for the best but…what the actual fuck happened to create Breeders to begin with?"
"No one knows." Rin said with a shrug. "I remember seeing a documentary on Armageddon and it said about forty years into this realities first era, Breeders were first found on Armageddon. The most commonly accepted theory was that they made them to keep the chaos guilds populated, then began selling them some time later but that's still just a theory."
"Whatever the reason is, Breeders are a horrible thing and I'm shocked that it's even a thing." I stated with a frown.
"No one is debating that, but while they are around we know you'll save them when you can and will have to tend to their needs." Delilah said as Rin nodded.
"This still sucks…" I sighed. "But…at least thing's will work out."
I helped Delilah tend to Daisy for a while longer then went out as today was my time to go out into The Nightmare.
As usual, monsters were out and about and I ran through them, Collecting Blood Echoes and other drops as I-
Fwoosh!
I dodged an arrow that almost hit my head, rather landing in the wall next to me.
I turned and spotted someone in a Hunters garb, face cowl and all hiding their main features.
They were already aiming their crossbow.
"Whoa whoa! Hold on!" I said quickly. "Let's not fight alright?"
They fired the crossbow.
I activated Harden-
Fuck!
The bolt shot right through my hardened skin and into my arm. Crap, okay not normal crossbow bolts!
"Alright fine asshole!" I snapped, breaking the arrow's shaft but kept the bolt in my arm to keep the hole plugged up as I used Full Cowling and sped towards the Hunter, zig zagging to make it harder for them to aim.
He seemed to catch on, putting the crossbow away and bringing out a club and chased after me.
He's fast, right on my tail.
I suddenly stopped and turned around, bringing out Starlight and swinging down hard against the Hunter that was running full force towards me.
He raised his club and the impact knocked us both back some distance from one another. I smirked as his Club was busted. He tossed it and pulled out a Saw Cleaver from his cloak.
I decided to pull out my own Saw Cleaver and dual wield. "Can you even understand me Hunter?"
He raised his Saw Cleaver at me. Speaking nothing but his intent seemed clear. Battle.
I sighed, hating how people just wanted to fight instead of talk. "Alright fine…but you asked for it." I said, before bolting after him and swinging both my weapons at him.
He clashed and deflected, matching my swings and speed with his single weapon. We would knock each other into monsters and hoards just to slaughter them then target each other again.
Eventually, I got the edge. I raised to swing, he raised to block. I used Warp and struck down from behind him.
Silver-chrome colored blood spilled out everywhere… what?
He fell to the ground, trying to push themselves up as the unnatural blood gushed out of their wound.
"Alright…so you're not a person I think…" I said carefully, knowing people don't have this weird silvery chrome blood as I used my Saw Cleaver and cut off their head while they were down.
When I did, their body melted in… the same way as a Shadow Creature…
When the body melted all that was left was their Saw Cleaver, and ripped cloak.
"Uh…if there's anything around here that can talk without trying to murder me…what?" I motioned to this, knowing that nothing here would answer me but there's enough eldritch shit here that something might try and tell me what I just witnessed.
I got no response, but picked up the cloak and Saw Cleaver and stored them away.
After that I continued my usual routine of killing monsters and collecting Blood Echoes and nothing else interesting happened.
I returned home and sighed as I took a seat on the couch.
"Alright…so that happened…" I sighed bitterly, now thinking about how there really wasn't anything of note besides the monsters and that hunter shadow…
I rubbed my eyes. Is that a normal monster? No… no that thing was smart…
"Alright…so I'm now extremely confused and concerned…" I sighed, pulling out a spare notebook and starting to write down what that thing was in my usual amount of over detailing.
As I did I pulled out the cloak and Saw Cleaver it left behind after dying. The weapon looks to be… maintained. Some repaired areas that must have chipped, and the teeth looked sharpened. Looking the cloak over I spotted some clear mending, stitches and… hm?
I found a small hidden pocket where inside was some folded paper. Opening it was… some language. Whatever it is, the Assistant isn't translating it… which is even more strange…
I frowned, but pulled up my Assistant and tried to contact Three, cause while he was far away I'm pretty sure we can still contact each other. "Hopefully he can answer even if he is far away…"
[Error! Assistant Communications Jammed.]
Of course…
"Crap…uh…hopefully someone know this…" I muttered, getting up from the couch and heading off to find anyone in hopes of figuring out this language.
Looking around I spotted Poppy petting the… pet human… I forgot Red…
"Why did I forget…" I muttered. "Hi Poppy."
"Hello Master." Poppy said, Red moving over and nuzzling my knees. "Your pet human is rather cute. Is she also a Breeder?"
"She is not, and never will be." I stated, maybe a little too fast but whatever. "How are you doing?" I asked, gently petting Red's head.
"I am well. I waited for you to return so I may pleasure you." She said with a smile.
I hated how she seemed so… happy, saying that…
"Not right now…" I said carefully.
"Alright then." She said with a nod.
I sighed, looking down at Red who suddenly started growling.
Confused but I suddenly felt a chill and reacted, quickly grabbing Red and Poppy and pulling them both down as suddenly the sound of Gunshot rang from behind as a bullet flew over above us. Looking back-
Another one?
The same Hunter Shadow Creature, or similar. This one looked… oddly female.
How did she get in?!
"That's impossible, how the hell did she get here!?" I asked in growing panic, donning my armor and bringing out Starlight.
As I did she rapidly swapped from the Flintlock pistol to a jagged toothed short sword and rushed me. I managed to push Poppy and Red into a nearby door and side stepped the swing. The female shadow rapidly swung around and struck as I raised Starlight to defend. Her eyes were this glowing white and had an intensity to them… one I knew well. A burning hatred… rage… for me.
It clicked… the first one was male… she's… they were…
I kicked her away. "Can you actually talk this time or are you just going to want violence and only violence? Cause that's what your husband wanted when I didn't want to fight him to begin with!"
Again, no response but she got back at the charge then swung. She's faster than he was… wait… can they not talk?
… If their written language is what was on that note… can they also not understand me? Crap!
I used more of Full Cowling to go faster, as I tried to convey something, anything to break some sort of language barrier here, even if I'm trying to not get hit here I still wanted to at least make some attempt at understanding what the hell's going on here.
She attacked without rest, she sliced up and through the walls with that sword of hers and I dodged and deflected.
Damn it why can't I-
"Ragh!" Red barked as she tackled the shadow woman.
The shadow woman looked down, confused at the sudden appearance of Red.
"Red no!" I said quickly, grabbing her and pulling her away. "I know you want to protect me, but you need to stay back." I said worriedly, keeping myself between Red and the Shadow Hunter, even as I tried to pull out the note that I found with the hunter and did my best to do 'explanation charades' to try and figure out what the hell this said.
That seemed to piss her off more, seeing the note. She rushed me. I raised Starlight to defend-
My Keyblade hit the ground… my hand was still gripping it as my wrist ended in nothing… then began spewing blood…
I screamed. That was… a whole new pain I never experienced before. Not in my training, nothing in Izukie's memories either. Dismemberment.
I had to act fast.
I ducked down as she swung again, quickly grabbing my severed hand with my still attached one and using Overhaul to reattach it.
It was back on, sore and a bit numb but that was going away. I got back up.
I froze. She was holding Red by the hair, her blade to Red's neck.
"Let her go or I'll make you regret it!" I snapped, glaring death at her as I tried to think of someway, anyway, to get Red out of her hold, to save her, to do anything to help and not have her die…"This is gonna hurt…" I thought to myself, as I used One for All 100% and sped towards her to try and stop her from hurting Red.
I was able to out speed her, yanking her off Red and slamming her head into the wall she went limp, but I knew she wasn't dead, she wasn't melting-
Son of a bitch!
She grabbed into my arm with one hand, then rammed her toothed blade through my and her own arm. She pulled it out, the teeth on the blade making us both bleed insanely. I tried to pull off but she wasn't coming off. Somehow her bleeding arm was sticking to mine.
"You asked for this." I said, putting my hand on her face as I used Overhaul on her.
"You will pay…" A voice, distorted and broken but female said as if speaking from my own head. I looked at the shadow person's eyes. "You will pay Skin Demon!"
I don't know how, but I was in my mental world, all the buildings seemed to be coated in chrome/silver liquid and a tar like darkness.
Across from me was the Shadow person, her… body, was changing. her face cowl was gone, exposing her face. Half was like a silhouette with the one glowing white eye. The other half… looked like my face.
"I didn't ask for this!" I snapped at her. "Your husband attacked me first and gave me no choice! I didn't want to fight damn it."
"Yet you killed him regardless." She spat. "He was down, you could have left, but you took his head."
I backed stepped… I did… I didn't hesitate to finish him…
"How the fuck was I supposed to know!?" I snapped, taking a step forward. "Unprovoked, without a single word spoken besides 'fight', and all I know is that your a Shadow Creature, what I have only experienced as mindless monsters or at least semi intelligent at best."
"Then like all Skin Demons you know nothing about this planet and the natives who call it home!" She charged. I summed Starlight-
She suddenly had her own, the two of us clashing out Keyblades. How did she-
In a flash of black she was gone. I rolled forwards, dodging a Warp where she appeared behind me and slashed down. She can use my Quirks?!
"Again!" I snapped, grabbing her by her arm and using a shoulder throw and slamming her down into the ground. "How the fuck am I supposed to know!? I was kidnapped by Nexus and placed down into this hellhole barely half a year ago and you just expect me to know what the hell is going on!? I'm sorry I killed your husband, I truly am, and given that you are…pretty much apart of my heart, you can easily know I'm telling the truth." I told her bluntly. "I didn't know, how was I supposed to know when I didn't even know you existed?"
She glared at me, eyes squinted with hatred before rolling herself off the ground and to her feet. "Well, a Skin Demon being truthful? Seems there's a first for everything. This doesn't mean you are forgiven. That man was my partner for thousands of years, we had a bond creatures like you cannot fathom."
"Then why did he attack me out of nowhere? I tried stopping him, doing something to tell him 'no'...but he didn't care, he just wanted to fight and I wasn't sure if he was just a random monster in this place, so mind explaining to me why we couldn't understand each other and why he immediately tried to murder me?"
"My people in our pure form can not understand your kind or your texts. We can only speak and read our own language. Only after taking a body from you Skin Demons can we understand your texts and words. As for why he attacked, it's simple. First to attack survives. My people have been hunted by you flesh devil's since the planet appeared in the void of space. Whole tribes slaughtered for sport or for forced slavery, placed inside your corpse bodies and made into slaves, playthings or monsters."
So… Nexus targets them to…
"Alright, so I see a massive problem and disconnect here." I said carefully, bringing up a board and showing off the Nexus Symbol. "See, these are the assholes that are hunting you down for sport cause…well, their a pack of insane super cultists that think being the worst people imaginable is funny," I explained, showing the one that kidnapped me. "And this asshole kidnapped me and my entire family as 'immigration', to give Armageddon 'friends' which makes absolutely no sense cause this is a world that is literally every world ending event mashed together so…there's that…" I frowned. "I have no idea what you are, nobody told me about you or your race, nobody…tends to tell me a lot of important things until after the important things actually happen…" I frowned, but shook my head. "I'm getting off track here…" I rubbed my temples bitterly. "This is completely messed up…I didn't want this…I didn't know this…"
"Ignorance does not wash away the sins or the blood." She said, rolling her eyes. "Regardless, even if we'd known you were not the Marked Skin Demons we'd have fought you nonetheless. Even you unmarked devil's have killed hundreds of us in the past."
"So your telling me that your husband killing me was fine because of your ignorance, but me killing him in my ignorance is a bad thing?" I inquired.
"Because unlike you devils we are not immortal. We have one life and one life only. We can live it as we can but death for us is not an inconvenience like you devils."
So that's why… they're like Red in that regard.
"And you would have permanently killed Red." I said honestly.
"The pet?"
"She is a part of my family, I don't care if she is seen as a 'pet'." I cut her off angrily.
"Had I her body also would have been an acceptable alternative to what we now are. At least then I'd have the headspace to myself."
"So again, unprovoked violence leads to a lot of problems." I frowned. "And what do you mean by that?"
"There is a ritual my kind can perform to gain the body and powers of you Skin Demons. All we need to do is Bleed and Die into an open wound upon a living or dead Skin Demon body. Had it been a fresh corpse the body would be my own, you'd have simply resurrected elsewhere powers and a new body and my husband and I would be on our way, perhaps finding him his own as a benefit aside the powers and immortality to your flesh is that we could finally have had children."
I facepalmed. "Okay, so first, my name is Izuku Midoriya, and two…why attack me then?" I asked bluntly. "You keep missing that point for some reason, I understand you wanted a body, I understand your upset, I'm also really upset that I took away your husband…but your missing the problem where unprovoked violence from a being I didn't know existed is…ugh!" I threw my hands up, knowing that, yet again, nobody gives a shit about what I actually have to say.
"You are a strange Skin Demon."
It felt like talking to Jaku all over again. "So! What's your name?" I asked carefully.
"Matilda. So, might as well ask, what species of Skin Demon are you?"
"I'm a Human." I answered. "And…what was the name of your husband?"
"Gravel."
"Right…" I nodded. "And…what was that note I found? What did it say?"
"A reminder. As of today, I am now the only Hunter Shadow of The Nightmare left on Armageddon."
I took a deep breath. "So…I ask…why!?" I asked. "There were so many other things you could have done! Ugh!" I groaned, feeling even worse now that I am pretty much responsible for finishing off an entire race.
"Desperation leads to many risky acts. We were doing what we felt we had to to ensure The Nightmare Shadow Hunters remained, at least in some form."
"If I could have understood either of you before this, then I could have helped!" I told her bluntly, which made her recoil in surprise. "I didn't know anything about you or your race…I could have helped but no…trying to kill me first, then a whole host of ignorance later…we're now here…"
"What part of, in our pure form, we can not understand you, did you not get. To us your words were nothing but static. Your texts are scribbles. How could you have told us? How could we have told you?!"
"Not trying to stab me would have been a good start." I frowned. "And I don't know, there could have been something we could have done, sign language was a start which is why you saw me do some panic charades to try and see if you'd understand what 'please stop' means." I frowned. "I even told Gravel to stop, but all he did was do a 'fight' motion and there wasn't anything I could have done…"
"We have been fooled by such acts before. Hunter Shadows do not make the same mistakes twice. That is how our brothers and sisters who showed you devils mercy were slain. Stabbed in the back for showing kindness. Had you left him alive there, then maybe we would have trusted you. But like all the ones before, you ended him. You expect us to show mercy to you when you did not either?"
"Again, you seem to be blatantly ignoring the parts where I had absolutely no idea any of this was happening, going on, or even what you were." I answered. "Again, I feel absolutely horrible for killing your husband, I truly am, but you are blaming me for what everyone else has done and saying that me not knowing anything doesn't mean jack shit…besides…wait…" I blinked. "I…do Shadow Hunter's produce DNA? That cloak I have, it should have some of his genetic code on him right?"
She shook her head, sighing. "You really are an ignorant Skin Devil… Hunter Shadows have no genetics. Our bodies are pure darkness energy the same as any other Shadow Creature. It's why we are unable to have children unless we take a body from your kind. Even then, while not completely Hunter Shadows any more, a little of us will flow in the new generations blood. But no, there is no DNA to us."
"Fucking…" I groaned. "I start getting minor reality warping powers, and apparently it doesn't mean shit…" I groaned, having studied up so goddamn much to do what Jaku and OFA talked about, where I could literally start just bending reality to my will and apparently it didn't matter. "Great…just great…whatever…" I sighed, yet again another blow to me being a 'hero'..."So…we're still together I guess?"
"Since you were not a corpse or died in our battle, yes. With a still living body, you and I will be sharing this body it seems. From your memories however it seems this is not an alien concept to you at least."
"Well…yeah…." I said sheepishly, as a door appeared. "My mind-scape has…a lot of people in there, including my mom…technically."
"What is a mom?"
"A female parent." I answered. "You…were going to be a mother if you and Gravel got new bodies…I mean, technically you're now a father given you're now a part of me…"
"We have no words for parents. Mother or Father. Pure Hunter Shadows are not born, at least not like you Skin Devil's. We're born to our Elder Trees."
"And what's an Elder Tree?" I asked.
"To Hunter Shadows, I guess parent or Mother applies. According to the stories written on the bark in our tongue they grow one for every zone upon this planet, we all emerge from a hole in the base where the trunk meets the ground and becomes roots. They are unique to my kind but some of the legends on the tree speak that every species has an Elder Tree, supposedly."
"And do you have an Elder Tree or…did it somehow…burn down?" I asked nervously.
"Slaughtered with my tribe two thousand years ago. Marked Skin Devil's ambushed the tribe, killed all who didn't run. They didn't just burn the tree they hacked it into splinters, burned it to ashes and salted the ground to ensure it never could regrow."
"That's….that's horrible." I said in horror.
"That is life for my people. Forever chased, hunted down and butchered. The lucky ones become slaves if that can be called luck."
"And look at me, wanting to be a hero and try to stop all this…and all I've done so far is fuck it up and make thing's worse…"
"What is that word? Hero?"
"Well, it's a person who is distinguished for their courage, noble qualities and brave deeds, a hero is someone who risks their life to save others for no reward, someone who wants to see people safe and happy from the ravages of villainy, of evil done." I said. "Heroes are supposed to be the good people that help others that are being oppressed, harmed, or targeted by bad or evil people…but so far I have done none of those things as I have a Dark Skill tree to prove it and…I killed your husband…"
"Huh. Sounds pointless."
"It's not pointless, cause if it was then Nexus would have taken over everything in this entire existence, I wouldn't be here with my family, the Saint of Armageddon wouldn't exist if it was 'pointless'." I frowned.
"Well, it's pointless at the moment. No offense but your tribe is barely getting by. Before you become this hero thing shouldn't you get your tribe prospering before you try and save others?"
"I'm trying to figure that out with Three and others, but thanks to the Saint we've gotten the World Engine so we have a lot of time and room to start prospering from that."
"Hm. What about all the Marked Devil's nests?"
"No idea where to even start with all that nonsense." I shook my head. "I'm going to need a lot of help from Three to figure all that out, but I'm sure he's off doing his thing."
"Why not attack them yourself?"
"Because I'm…probably nowhere near strong enough to face any of them, and I don't know where they are to begin with." I said honestly. "And that's one reason why I wanted to train a whole bunch but my family wants to make sure I don't go insane over it…"
"I know where they are." She said as I looked at her.
"How?" I asked in surprise.
"The Nightmare is my home. I know every inch of it and I know when something is not as it should be. It's an innate gift each zones Hunter Shadows have. It is how Gravel and I found your nest when we were hundreds of miles away from it."
"Right…" I said carefully. "But that would immediately put a giant target on my back and I don't want that to happen to my family until they can all prosper and be fine without me…"
"Sounds like you have too much to do for one person."
"But I have to." I said honestly. "So much to do, so little time, and I am doing my best…"
"Why not form an alliance with another Skin Devil Nest?"
"Are there any that aren't a Chaos Guild or supporting Nexus?" I inquired.
"You mean the Marked Devil's? Some pay them compensation for not being slaughtered but other than that no. I imagine they despise them as much as you and I do."
"Can you lead me to one of these groups?" I inquired.
"Easily… whenever this is all over with." She said, waving to the environment around us. "Not sure how long this takes when both of us are alive."
"I don't know either…this is like…the second or third time I've been here so it might take a bit." I shrugged. "So…you gain a new body, but what happens to me in this situation?"
"Like I said, we'll be sharing it. Nothing will happen to you, just my body merging into yours. You will be able to utilize my innate Hunter Shadow abilities as well as I'm able to use your body's powers."
"Okay, that's…pretty cool." I nodded. "What abilities do you have?"
"Natural and total navigation and sense of location and distance between locations within The Nightmare. We can pull any number of special prosthetics from our cloaks when worn. Advanced knowledge on crafting and maintaining weapons, clothing, tracking and hunting knowledge."
"Okay, that'll help immensely." I said honestly. "Cause I was thinking that there were some special areas that might hold a lot of resources we could use, but I never had the chance to find anything about it."
"There's lots, you just have to know where to look and what to find."
"And I don't know either of those things." I said honestly.
"How have you survived here knowing so little?"
"I know enough to survive, which is at least a good thing." I said. "And remember, I did mention that I was only here for a few months…and by force at that."
"Ugh… fine, I'm stuck here anyway, might as well help. A few conditions first."
"What conditions?" I inquired.
"Firstly, I at least get some control over this body of ours. Second, any more Hunter Shadows we come across, let me talk to them. I'll be damned if I let anymore of my people die or be forced into slavery. Third, if you find a way, get me my own body. Lastly, when we come across the Marked Devil's, these Chaos Guilds you spoke of, we slaughter every last one."
"The last one I was already planning on beating them all to begin with." I said honestly. "You having some control over my body…wouldn't be the first, I miss Jaku…and that's fine, I didn't know and I really want to save your people…and uh…technically I might be able to? I'm just…not sure how this all works to begin with so it'll take time."
"Good. So once this is all done with, I suppose you'll want to speak with the nearest nest of your fellow devils?"
Well, yeah… also, is she gonna refer to me and everyone as devils or demons?
"So…are you going to be calling us 'devils' or 'demons' all the time? And yes, I would like to see the next town please."
"What else would I call the alien species that came down from the heavens with weapons and powers of mass destruction and began slaughtering my people and our homes?"
… Well… damn she has a point… not much else you can call them. Especially if you can't cross the language barrier that really shouldn't be there in all honesty.
"So here's a weird thing…why is there a language barrier?" I asked. "Cause I've met so many different races that should have a different language but…don't." I answered. "Hell, I was speaking Japanese and…still do but it's all fine."
"No idea. How would I know how your devil magics work?"
Got a point there…
"I mean…I suppose?" I said nervously. "Man, whoever created your race kinda sucks if he just left you to deal with…all this." I brought up. "Like…really? It's like he created you to be some super strong monster race and just kinda forgot…a lot of important things."
Matilda shrugged. "Meh."
Once that trippy mental battle place was finally over with and I woke up back home, I explained quickly to the others. They took it as well as I expected… especially considering one of my eyes is now pitch black with a glowing white pupil.
Matilda had no idea why that happened. It apparently doesn't happen when the body is, well, solo.
With that mystery added to the list I followed her instructions and began using Engine to speed myself to the location.
I won't lie, the innate sense of everything in the zone around me is… so useful.
To my right we're passing a shopping district.
To the left, roads to country farms, wheat, dairy and corn.
Now approaching -
"Are you going to keep doing that because it is already annoying…" Matilda grumbled.
"I'm sorry that me immediately knowing where everything is is really cool, and my mind likes to go a mile a second half the time." I mentally told her, needing to get used to having another voice in my head again.
"Yet you have a map in your field of vision at all times…"
The mini map/compass is incredibly helpful… but I have to mark/label every location, or at least every location I care about, on it personally.
"There's a difference between knowing where everything is and having to manually put down markers everywhere I go."
I ran until I was a mile away from the place. The sun was setting and I could see the huge metal and brick walls built around what must be a town. The walls stood a mile high and I spotted people walking along the top and some entrances I could see.
Actual people! And they were only three hundred miles away…
Okay that is pretty far still but this is great!
"Oh my god, actual people." I sighed happily, starting to move closer to the town carefully. "Hopefully they're friendly…"
I used Engine again and ran close to one of the entrances.
"Hold it!" The guard yelled. They wore some simple looking clothing but had a gun that looked like it was made from bones aimed at me.
"I'm a friend!" I called out, raising my hands up to show that I don't have any weapons. "I promise."
His eyes flashed, making me gulp given that… title. "You own Breeders?" He asked.
I groaned. "Listen, it's only the one and I rescued her from being sold off to some horrible person that would have abused her." I said carefully.
"Just need to be sure." He said. "Head through the door, wait for processing."
"Alright, thank you." I nodded, walking over to the door carefully and hoping this will go over well.
Through the door was a stone and metal tunnel. I walked down it to a smaller room that was lit by the candles resting on a statue of…I think that's The Mother, but it's caked in wax.
Static from a speaker burst. "Is your name Izuku Midoriya?"
"Yes, I am Izuku Midoriya." I nodded.
"You said yes to owning a Breeder, this is how you received the Rapist Title?"
"I hate how I'm forced to have that title…" I said angrily. "I hate what happened to Breeders….it's all around terrible…"
"Is it true you saved them as you told the guard rather than purchasing them?"
"I saved them from a trader that would have sold them to someone else." I answered. "Firstly, human trafficking is already horrible, but turning people into Breeders and selling them? That's even worse."
"Last question. Do you have any connections with Chaos Guilds?"
"No, why in the Mother's name would I ever be with those band of assholes that cause this?"
The flames on the candles of the wax covered Mother statue suddenly changed to be all green. A rumble and it moved, revealing a doorway. "Welcome to Logansville."
I walked through the doorway and… woah.
All around me people were walking down the streets, stalls selling various items or food carts with candies or pastries and even corn.
"There's…so many people here…" I muttered in awe.
"So, there are more of the same at your nest. What makes this so different?" Matilda asked.
"Because this is a whole town of people that I've never met before that have made all of this in this hellhole." I mentally answered. "It's a lot different then having myself and my entire family and home just immediately thrown here because 'Immigration' is an asshole."
I walked down the roads, looking at all the shops, stalls and people… there has to at least be… maybe a few hundred or more here. First thing's first, need to find the leader, whoever is in charge here…
"Where would townhall be?" I muttered, looking around for the biggest or at least most distinct building cause those tend to be places of importance.
All the buildings here were all shops with houses built on top, modified to be like apartments or seemed to be offices used as makeshift homes or stores. Crap why can't I find a town hall or something?
I sighed, turning to someone walking by. "Uh, excuse me, can you tell me where the mayor or leader of this town is?" I asked politely.
The man, some all wood plant person, said as they looked over at me. "Oh you want Olga then. She's over in the Velvet Bedsheets." He said, motioning to a larger, three story building with a hanging sign in the shape of a pink pillow with the name painted in ruby red cursive.
"Right, thank you." I nodded and a polite bow, cause even after over a year of not being in japan some habits never die as I headed towards the Velvet Bedsheets. "I…really hope it's not what I think it is…"
I walked up to the building, hearing some music playing through the door. A simple old tiny piano tune.
I opened the door, and was met by a small lobby. A door to the left well, stairs against the right wall going up and behind a makeshift desk was a Den Mother Racoon, which was new to me, who gave me a smile as her… small and loose fitting one or two piece cloth outfit covered only her nipples and between her legs. "Welcome to the Velvet Bedsheets." She greeted me. "You're new. Would you like a roaster of our ladies to view?"
Crap this is a brothel!
"What is a brothel?" Matilda asked.
"It's a uh…a place where people can visit prostitutes…or people that use sex as a job." I mentally answered. "Uh…is Olga in? I want to talk to her about something important and uh…while you and many of the other's are very beautiful…uh…" I stammered lightly, hating how even after all the nonsense I had to put up with in the lewd department I still had to be embarrassed to new pretty women.
"Oh, well Miss Olga is currently with a client so if you'd mind waiting for a bit she will be available soon."
I swallowed, taking a seat on one of the few chairs and… waited. I saw some people come in and leave.
Eventually a woman with pale skin, sunglasses wearing simple panties and a latex strap around her chest walked in. What really caught me off guard was her hair… it was all snakes. She's a Gorgon. "Nikkie are there others on the list for today?" The gorgon lady asked.
"This one right there miss Olga." The Racoon Den Mother, Nikkie, said.
Olga, apparently a Gorgon, turned and looked at me. "Hm. You a hermaphrodite? You're pretty girly looking compared to some others I've serviced."
"W-well ma'am…uh…" I blushed brightly at the rather scantily clad woman. "My name is Midoriya, and I wanted to talk to you about some important things involving my growing settlement and uh…." I tried to focus on more her literal snake hair than the…bountiful breasts and killer figure she had.
"This is a brothel sweetie, you wanna talk business it has to be in the bed and one of us has to be receiving pleasure while the other gives it. Unless you're able to do both in which case, good. Haven't Orgasmed properly in months."
"Uh…alright…" I said nervously. "Well…best I can say is that I have experience handling a lot of horny women…one after another…" I said nervously, hoping I can keep up with the clearly more experienced woman.
"Fine. Follow me." She said, heading back through the left door. I followed. Passing by a lot of other doors before she walked into one and I followed. The room was filled with… toys… sex toys, bottles of lube and cuffs… "Alright since you're both would you like to be bottom or top first?"
I blushed, almost blanking for a bit before shaking my head.
"Somehow, Delilah's antics did not prepare me for this…" I thought nervously. "W-well…I'll be top." I answered, trying to summon all the confidence I can to try and please this woman that apparently hasn't been satisfied in months.
"As you wish." She said, walking past me and… disrobing. Woah… she laid on the bed, showing me… everything as she spread… "So, what was this about business?" She asked, casually as if what's happening isn't even happening.
"Uh…right." I said, moving over and just starting to move my hands around the woman's beautiful body, trying to get a true feel for her before I did anything. "So, me and my…ten thousand spouse and growing bit of kids, were all kidnapped and thrown, house and all," I said, going up and lightly squeezing her sizable breasts. "Uh, question, do you like it rough or gentle? Cause even if I'm top, I was always taught to respect a woman's wishes and make sure she's pleased first."
"Either or." She said simply.
"Alright." I nodded, still moving my hands around and groping and squeezing all the bits on her. "So, I have a settlement about three hundred miles from here, where we've been doing our best over the past few months, and while it's been…weird and a bit of a bitch for me morally," I moved down and squeezed the ladies ass and feeling my hands sink into the jiggly yet toned cheeks. "Met the Saint of Armageddon and he gave me a world engine…but what's your thoughts on Chaos Guilds?"
"Same as everyone I imagine. I hate them, but because of the deal I struck with them we've prospered." She said.
"Well…" I said, getting between her very strong looking thighs and ready to start doing more things. "I do have these prison cubes that Three gave to me, I have two on me right now." I mentioned, thinking she would be very happy to hear about using those against the Chaos Guilds.
"Prison Cubes?" She asked, putting a hand to my chest and pushing me back and off her. "The ones Void Admins can't even break out of?"
"Uh, yes." I nodded. "Three gave me ten of them, but eight of them are safe back at my home, while I have two on me in case of emergencies."
"May I see them?"
"Sure." I said, bringing out both of the cubes for her to see.
She looked at them. Despite her sunglasses I could see her eyes were going wide. She smiled, laughing as she seemed happy. "Well, Midoriya, it looks like you can help Logansville out of the deal I made with the Chaos Guilds."
"Cool." I said with a warm smile. "I'm glad to help…so I presume we wait for the 'LandLord' to show up or something?"
"Something like that. First I suppose I should tell you about this deal…" She said, moving over and sitting on the edge of the bed. "Logansville is named after my husband." She said, making me flinch. "He's gone… or close enough to gone as you can be without Madness…"
"I'm…I'm so sorry." I said sadly. "So…they're holding your husband hostage or…did they already…"
She shook her head. "No, not like that. He went willingly. When the town was founded, we were barely fifty people and already targets for several reasons. My husband was one of them. He was powerful, strength, magic, abilities. He was what some called an Armageddon Natural. It was like he was born to thrive on this planet. You already know what Lust does to people, makes the Breeders. But this guild, Violence… they turn people into Monsters. Living weapons under their command. Worse than slaves, less than people… we had to strike a deal or else the fate of everyone would be that or worse… so, I struck the deal. Once a year, any child born a Den Mother would be… given, to Lust, and any child born strong like Logan, or showed unnatural strength and promise… was given to Violence… Den Mothers here in the Brothel are from pods."
"Alright, so how do you want to deal with these Chaos Guild bastards?" I growled, ready to fight against those pricks and stop this bullshit from happening again.
"The next group set to arrive and take their new batch of children is in ten months. Normally, a direct conflict with them is out of the question. They'd respawn and hunt us again… but, these prison Cubes can keep them from dying, from escaping. Meaning we can stop the deal and keep them from doing it again. With luck… maybe we can even try and save some of the past children."
"These cubes can only hold twenty six people per cube, but that sounds like a plan." I nodded. "I want to start saving innocent people and…actually being a hero instead of…feeling like it doesn't mean much because of what I've done so far…" I sighed. "Oh, uh…has anyone ever shared a body with a Shadow Hunter before? Sorry for asking a weird question out of nowhere."
"None that I am aware of."
"Right…cause I just so happen to uh…be in said situation after…unknowingly doing something horrible…" I sighed bitterly. "I'm still…very new to this world and not knowing a lot of things…"
"There is much still not known about the world, your situation while unheard of may or may not be unique."
"Well…" I said carefully. "It…might not be, and I hate that…"
"Regardless, in exchange for helping Logansville, what does your settlement ask for in return?"
"Well, we can use your help on…literally everything." I said carefully. "Like setting up farms, buildings, and just a whole host of stuff on our new world engine planet…then there's helping me find Candlelight, a town I helped create that was made up of Prize Pod people that…was also teleported here cause the new 'Immigration Chief' is a bitch." I growled. "And…well, I suppose if you need a new area to set up a town, you can always come live with us, got an entire planet to populate and habit…plus it might fuck with the Chaos Guild's wondering where the hell you all went."
"True… if we vanish then all the better. Plus, you said you're currently populated by yourself, ten thousand lovers and a few children? I imagine knowing and having the option to date outside your family would be best for the children as they age."
"Yes, yes it would." I nodded. "There's a lot of things to do…and I'm glad to say that there is actually some time to do it."
"Well, I suppose first thing we should begin by discreetly moving ourselves. First citizens, then the larger infrastructures, and from there we need to plan an attack to weaken them before you can use the prison cube."
"Correct…" I said with some thought. "I'm going to need to know everything about this 'Violence' and what their tactics tend to be, if they are smart or if they just try to brute force and act like gladiators and beasts than actual combatants."
"They're a bit of a mixed bag. While they are known for their weapons, be them made from people, crafted like any other or mutated and such they are all powerful people. If not physically then their magic or their equipment makes up for any weaknesses. They say there is a member of Violence who's signature weapon is a Butter Knife, forged from the strongest metal in reality, enchanted with the strongest spells. He used it to slaughter a whole zone of fallen gods for a laugh. They are powerful but not unbeatable. Lucky for you, the group that picks up the children are only four. Two from Lust and Two from Violence. The Lust members are nothing special, the Violence members will be your biggest threat."
Olga took a breath. "First is Gallan, a Synthetic built by Violence. His skin is made from Adamantium, and his main weapons are built in blades within his arms. On top of being a tank, he's strong and fast. Then there's Rio. Physically she's actually weak, but she's an expert Mage and has numerous summon spells to bring monsters and Violences weaponized monsters to her aid."
"Right, so we'll need to figure out how to cripple Gallan, and…well, an anti magic field would make Rio a sitting duck if we can get her into one without her knowing, cause as far as I know summon's need a magical link to bring them to the summoner, no link, no summon." I explained. "Hmm…what kind of Synthetic is Gallan? Maybe I could ask Three about how to handle his 'type'."
"From what I have seen, he is some kind of android, he might physically resemble a biped like you but he doesn't look like a living being."
"Alright, so mostly robotic…" I hummed, thinking if there was an EMP resistance as I pulled out a spare notebook and pencil and starting to write down what she's told me about the both of them so far.
After an hour we came up with this. First I take out the mage/summoner first, preferably knocking her out then handling Gallan. The guards can handle the Lust members, and the best way to deal with Gallen is to melt them. Luckily my Pyrokinesis is very strong so if I focused all of that quirk plus magic into fire I can hopefully make it hot enough to melt him, then I can use the Prison Cube on them. A simple and sound plan but a lot can still go wrong.
"I hate how there's still so much that can go horribly wrong here, even if this is bare bones and straight forward…" I scratched my head bitterly, trying to think of all the negative possibilities that can be avoided or negated.
"We have time to prepare, which we will use to our best." Olga said.
I nodded. Ten months… in ten months, I'll prove you can be a hero on Armageddon.
