The Sun rose in a beautiful Saturday in Jasper City as every alarm clock in a house went off awakening everyone, including the house of Kate and Humphrey, After getting up first Humphrey went down stairs and walked right out the front door and began to take in a deep breath of fresh morning air,but as he did that he immediately saw someone come out of the house across the street,it was a athletic looking gold furred male wolf who was in his mid 30s, wearing a green buttoned up pajama shirt and pants. Humphrey was completely unfamiliar with this wolf as he pretty much knew the names of all of his neighbors,plus he knew that the house had been empty for quite a few months the original owners of the house moved away, this new person must've been the new owner, but when did he move in Humphrey didn't recall seeing a moving truck, although his eyes had been glued to the TV screen.
Like a good neighbor Humphrey felt inclined to welcome this newcomer to the neighborhood and possibly befriend him, Humphrey walked over to the wolf who was taking in the morning air as well "Hello."Humphrey greeted with a smile "hi."The wolf responded with a smile his orange eyes meeting Humphrey's blue "you must be new here?" Humphrey asked "Yes my family and I just moved here last night, I'm Montgomery but you can call me Monty."The wolf said offering his hand and Humphrey shook it and smiled "I'm Humphrey welcome to the neighborhood Monty."
Monty was about to say something else when he heard a female voice speak from behind him "Honey who are you talking too?" it was then Humphrey saw what he immediately could tell was his wife, a rather beautiful lean golden furred female wolf who was the same age as Monty stepped out of the house wearing a yellow button up shirt and yellow pants.
"Good Morning sweetheart I'm just saying hello to our new neighbors, Humphrey this is my wife Marigold."Monty said with a smile, "Nice to meet you Marigold."Humphrey said offering his hand to Marigold who shook it. "Hello."Marigold responded nicely then she saw someone come out of Humphrey's home it was Kate along with Runt,Stinky and Claudette "Humphrey?"Kate called out "Good morning everyone come meet our new neighbors."Humphrey said as the family went over across the street and in front of the new neighbors just then someone else came out of Monty and Marigold's a young golden furred male pup that looked the same age as Runt stood next to his parents.
"This is my son..."Monty said about to introduce him but apparently he's already well acquainted with someone "Hey Runt."The pup said casually "Hey Midas, he's in Aunt Lilly's class at school."Runt said everyone was a little taken a back that they knew each other "Ok well no need for introductions there,but everyone else meet everyone else."Monty said with a little smile. "Hi I'm Marigold."Marigold said shaking Kate's hand "I'm Kate."Kate responded then Marigold looked at the yellow nightgown she was wearing.
"Cute nightgown I have one similar."Marigold said with a smile "Nice,I have a set similar to that."Kate responded with a smile "what do you do kate?"Marigold asked "Oh I'm a middle school principal."Kate said "and I'm a teacher."Humphrey added "Cool we run a Chevrolet car dealership downtown."Monty said with a smile which made Humphrey smile as he glanced at their car "mind if we stop in some time we could use a new car."Humphrey said making Kate look at him funny as there was nothing wrong with their car.
"Sure come on through."Monty said with enthusiasm "Would you like to come over sometime Midas and play video games, we have Madden 23 on Ps5."Stinky asked with a friendly smile "Cool I have a ps5 too, it's in my room."Midas chirped Runt Stinky and Claudette all looked at their parents annoyed "He gets to have his PS5 in his room but ours stays in the living room?!"Runt exclaimed outraged "Because you pups aren't the only ones that play video games,me or your mother is coming into your nasty room."Humphrey said making Monty and Marigold chuckle in amusement"You pups are welcome to come over to our house and play with Midas."Monty said "and the same goes for Midas."kate said with a smile.
"Although just a little heads-up our family can be a little chaotic."Claudette said making her family glare at her, "good to know,Well we're going to eat breakfast enjoy your morning."Monty said "You too."Humphrey said as both families went back to their homes to eat breakfast.
