15 years later...

The scene starts in a dark, illuminated room, a lightbulb shines on a stand with a blue mask resting upon it. Leo walks in and reaches for his mask, tightly wrapping it around his face as the gang gears up. Donnie skillfully spins his bo-staff with one hand, Leo twirls his twin katanas before sheathing them on his shell, Mikey shows off his nun chuck moves before placing them in his belt, and Raph sharpens his sais before licking one with his tongue looking all cool. And with everyone ready, they were off. Up on the surface world, they burst out of a sewer lid and run across the rooftops before jumping down with their eyes showing seriousness.

"Master Splinter has given us a very important mission tonight," Leo says, planting his fists together. "The target is across the street. We must use stealth and cunning to infiltrate the human world and retrieve..."

Leo then pulls out a shopping list, "Go-gurt."

"Ooh, Go-gurt!" Raph said, mimicking Leo.

"Okay, Batman." Mikey comments while Donnie makes gibbering noises with his hands, Leo then looks up at his brothers while holding the list in his hands.

"Dude what? I'm just trying to hype you guys up, okay?" Leo sighed. Raph rolled his eyes and grabbed the list out of Leo's hands. "Give me that list okay what else are we getting? Four quarts of non-fat milk."

Donnie and Mikey nod their heads while Leo stands in the corner not amused since Raph pushed him out of the way. "Ice cream..." Raph continues. "Nice." Donnie adds and Mikey nods his head in approval since he loves ice cream.

"Fruits and veggies."

"Bleh!" Mikey makes a sound of disgust, but Raph keeps reading the list. "And a party-size bag of Cool Ranch Doritos!" He finishes and hands the list to Donnie before doing a dab in the air. "I like cheese puffs." Mikey shrugs and complains, now Donnie has a chance to read the list, "He was very specific about the party size, he underlined it twice."

But then Leo takes the list out of Donnie's hands, "Alright, Donnie, you're on toiletries." The second youngest rolled his eyes, "Got it."

"Raph, you're stocking up the pantry," Leo orders him and he earns an exasperated groan from Raph. "And Mikey you're on junk food." Mikey smiles and responds, "Yes sirski!"

"And remember, don't let any human see you...because why?" Everyone knows what Leo was about to do, his famous 'speech' he learned from their dad. They didn't want to do it, but they didn't have a choice. Humans are the demon scum of the earth, avoid them, don't say hi. They lust to murder that which is different with them is to die." Everyone says it Leo says it with joy while the brothers say it annoyed. When they were finished, the oldest turned to them with a knowing look. "And hey, I know that's abjectly prejudiced...but that's what Dad taught us."

Eh, I think humans seem kinda cool to be honest. Beyonce..." Mikey turns to his brothers.

"Drake!" Raph starts fangirling, "That guy's the GOAT of all time!"

"I would love to have a champagne brunch with Tom Brady." Leo joined in.

"Guy Fieri seems like a fun hang, and I've always wanted to go to Flavortown." Mikey said excitedly.

"Look, we all think humans are cool, but we got a job to do. LET'S GO!" Leo says pumped up while his brothers look at him before gesturing and making fun of him.

"Let's go! I'm Leo!" Mikey gestures with a non-accurate voice.

"You sound like you have bronchitis!" Donnie smirked while crossing his arms. Leo looks a little disappointed since his brothers never take him seriously but he pushes those thoughts out of his head as they infiltrate the grocery store. Each one of them got the stuff they were assigned to get on the list and to be honest, they were really good at their job, I mean, they are ninjas after all. And after they got everything they needed, they decided to head back home. The gang heads up to the rooftops when they are climbing a Channel News 6 billboard is right across from them on the other building.

"Terror strikes the heart of Manhattan, yet again today, with another brazen and deadly heist. An industrial grade Power Converter was stolen in a transport," The female news reporter informs the city as a picture of the transport appears on the screen.

"Police hear that this is connected to a recent string of other deadly attacks. New Yorkers live in fear, parents city-wide are calling for a curfew until the criminal is caught. But the only lead is this mysterious mastermind...known on the streets as Superfly." She finishes dramatically as it shows another picture with the name Superfly on it.

"Not bad!" Leo held up the groceries in his hand as they kept walking, "Heading home, on a good note! we've got these groceries here-"

"Whoa, whoa, wait," Raph interrupts him, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion, "We've only been out for an hour, come on. Let's stay out!"

"Yeah, let's stay out!" Mikey agrees.

Leo sighed as his grip on the grocery bags tightened a little more. "Guys...c'mon, we said we weren't going to do this anymore. Last week it was the Madison Square Garden to watch the Hicks, and the week before that it was the Adele Concert-"

Mikey then jumps in front of Leo and raises his arm dramatically, "SHE HITS THEM NOTES LIKE CRAZY!"

"I-It was transcending!" Raph adds, trying to find the right word to describe the concert.

"Splinter is gonna catch on! We're gonna get grounded..." Leo tried to end the argument, knowing there wasn't a point.

"He's a shut-in!" Donnie protests as he rambles about their dad, "He doesn't know how long it takes to do things! For all he knows, it takes us 3 hours to get to the Bodega."

"No guys-we told him we wouldn't mess around anymore." Leo tried to reason with them but then Donnie came up beside him looking at his phone. "There's an outdoor movie night in Brooklyn!" Donnie showed his phone to the others and he, Mikey, and Raph sped up.

"Yeah, I hope it's a funny one!"

"I hope it's a VIOLENT one!"

"You need to chill out Raph."

"Stop mopping Leo, let's go!" The three of them went off to head to the destination where the movie night was going on, Leo of course knowing clearly enough that this was a bad idea. But knowing that it was too late to reason with his brothers, he just sighed, "Fine, wait up!" He jumped down from the rooftop following them.

Meanwhile, down below on the streets close to an alleyway, a hooded figure jumps down from a fire escape with a big duffle bag on their shoulder. They then walk towards a blank brick wall, setting down their duffle bag, and step out of the shadows revealing a female mutant lizard girl, who was around 15 years old. Her skin was a fern color, her short layered reddish-brown hair swayed to the side, and her misty blue eyes seemed they glow in the night and a faint straight scar emitting from her chin was still visible. She then unzipped her bag and pulled out 2 spray cans before popping the tops off with ease, shaking them as she looked at the blank wall in front of her. She sprayed them on the wall revealing the two colors green and yellow and started doing her work. With each can she took she started doing a vibrant pattern on her painting. After many minutes, she was done, and the mutant girl backed away to take a good look at her creation. She had created an outstanding graffiti artwork with the words 'I Love New York', and she smiled proudly to herself.

"Perfect." She spoke with a smile. As she started to pack up her things, she all of a sudden could hear voices on the rooftop above her. Growing curious, the girl set down her bag and started to climb up the fire escape making sure she was as quiet as possible. When she reached the top, she poked her head up to see who the voices were from and what she saw was a total shock to her...she saw four mutant turtles in front of her watching the outdoor movie 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off'.

'I can't believe it, I'm not the only mutant...' She thought to herself still processing what she was seeing in front of her as she climbed up and started walking towards them.

The red-masked turtle sighs and mumbles, "Maybe one day everyone will love us like they love Ferris Bueller."

"Yeah...yeah, you know...maybe...maybe one day..." The blue one spoke sadly.

"Um, excuse me?" The girl spoke up. That makes all the turtles yelp in shock as they turn around quickly.

"It's a human, we've been spotted!" The orange one cried out.

"We have to get out of here!" The blue one shouted, the mutant girl started to panic since she scared them and she didn't want to.

"No, no, no, wait! It's okay! I'm not human!" She then stepped out of the shadows so they could take a good look at her.

"Wait a minute is she-?" The purple questioned.

"A mutant? Yeah, I am." She smiled and their scared faces turned into shocked and surprised ones.

"Woah, that's awesome! I didn't know there were more of us!" The red one spoke really shocked.

"H-How is that possible?" The blue one stuttered, still trying to process what he was seeing. Out of the blue, the orange came up to her inspecting her. "I've never seen you before. What kind of mutant are you?" He questioned.

"I'm a lizard, well, a mutant lizard to put it fairly."

"I have so many questions," The purple also came up to her, "Can you-"

"Guys, give her some space!" The red one pushed his brothers to the side before looking at her. "Sorry about them."

"It's alright. I mean it's not every day I run into another mutant like myself." The girl chuckled. The red-masked turtle smiled showing a missing tooth in his mouth, "So, do you have a name?" He asked.

"Of course I do, it's Nova." Nova introduced herself as she shook hands with the red turtle.

"Nova...sweet name. My name's Raph and these are my brothers, Leo, Donnie, and Mikey." He introduced his brothers.

"Nice to meet you." Leo waved.

"Hello." Donnie smiled.

"Wassup!" Mikey grinned which made Nova chuckle.

"Such interesting names for you guys, you know, I like your vibe Raph." Nova grinned

"Well, I could say the same for you," Raph smirked while crossing his arms. Everyone was enjoying the moment when Leo spoke up.

"Look, I'm sorry to interrupt this but, me and my brothers should probably get going." The three of them groaned not wanting to leave.

"Ugh..."

"C'mon Leo!"

"Really!?"

"As much as I don't want you to leave, you should probably go. I don't want to stop you." Nova spoke. When the brothers grabbed their groceries, Raph looked at Nova before saying.

"I'll come back out tomorrow night if you wish to see us again. Unless you have any plans." Nova rolls her eyes in amusement, "Of course, I don't. But I guess I'll see you around soon." She was about to leave when all of a sudden she stopped.

"Before I go I'll give you guys my phone number if you want to text me." Nova then sent her phone number to Donnie's phone as she was right by the fire case. "See you guys soon." Nova winks before jumping down.

"She is pretty cool," Leo responded.

"Do you think will ever see her again?" Mikey asked.

"We probably might," Donnie answered as they walked towards the sewer lid.

"Well, I sure hope so." Raph smiled. In the alleyway, Nova was packing up her supplies with a smile on her face. She had just made some new friends, and she wasn't the only mutant.
