Rivercourt Rambles
Chapter 2
authors note : This will be a more family/relationship focused story. Less drama then what i normally write.
"This is our last night. And as much as i loved the weather and being able to walk everywhere."
"I'm looking forward to going home. And settling back into our life." Brooke said.
"I feel the same way. Traveling gives you time to relax and escape reality for awhile. But nothing compares to home." Lucas replied.
The couple spent their night. Eating dinner outside and watching the rain fall from their windows. While they laid together in bed.
"I've been thinking. Wondering. Dreaming about what our kids would be like.?" Brooke confessed.
Lucas gazed over at her. "The idea of children is something we've talked about and i've thought about it too."
"It has to be the right time." Lucas replied.
"We've been married. Almost a year. We're almost 30. You're career as a writer has never been more stable and Clothes over bros continues to grow and evolve."
"I have more money then i'll ever need."
"You're the only one holding back. I'm ready." Brooke explained.
Lucas knew that he wanted a family with his wife. No question about it. Yet he found himself having reservations.
Biologically he was Dan's son. But Keith had been his father figure for as long as he can remember. He wondered what verison of Scott would present itself.
When he became a father. He wanted to quiet that worry and insecurity more then anything.
And he knew the only way to do that.
"Let's make a baby." Lucas announced.
Brooke smiled as she leaned over to kiss him.
The couple began to slowly undress each other.
They gave themselves to each other in every way.
As it happens. Time and hours fell away.
In the morning. Lucas awoke to find Brooke already awake.
"I think we made a baby." Brooke said.
"Wishful thinking. But i wouldn't be surprised." Lucas replied.
"You sound very confident. I like that." Brooke said. Leaning over to kiss him.
