Rivercourt Rambles
Chapter 3
It was a few weeks after the couple returned from their trip. They had slipped back into their routine of with friends. Family. And work.
The Scott Home
"My favorite people in the world." Karen said.
"We appreciate any time we get to see the both of you. We know how busy and successful the both of you are." Keith added in.
"Regardless of that. We'll always have time for the both of you." Lucas reassured them.
"Are you sure you don't want anything else Brooke.? You barely touched you're dinner." Karen questioned.
"Yeah i've got this stomach thing going around. People coming in and out of the store all the time. Especially with the weather being so all over the place." Brooke replied.
After saying their goodbyes. The pair made their home with leftovers and dessert.
"Should we go straight home or stop by the store.?" Lucas asked.
"The drug store." Brooke replied.
She made her way straight through the entrance doors.
Brooke grabbed the latest copy of B Davis magazine. Some candy and a pregnancy test.
It was almost time to close so there was no line.
When she reappeared in the car.
Lucas asked if she got what she needed.
She smiled and rested her head on the window.
Once they got into the entryway of the home.
Brooke raced inside and headed upstairs.
She made her way through the hallway and into the master bathroom.
She took out the pregnancy test. Followed the instructions and washed her hands as she waited.
When the timer when off on her cellphone she jumped and stared down at the test on the counter.
Brooke soon left the bathroom. To find Lucas awaiting her in their bedroom.
"I'm pregnant!" Brooke exclaimed. As she ran into his arms.
When they pulled apart he kissed her. Putting his hand on her stomach.
"Mom and Dad. This is really happening." Lucas said.
"I have to tell Peyton and Haley and Rachel. Karen is going to be bursting at the seams. Her first grandchild." Brooke rambled.
