(Few refences too morningmarks comics in these future chapters)

Moments ago, Amity had gone into her girlfriend's mind to repair her damaged memories. Her friends and family didn't like that she went in Luz's mind alone, but at the same time, they all had faith in her. While Amity was fixing Luz's memories, Eda and the others were making a plan to find and stop Kikimora. Eda pulled out an old map of the Boiling Isles and she and the rest of her group prepared to make a plan. While they planned the search, Hunter and Emira would stay behind and watch over Luz while she slept.

Eda: "OK, let's figure out where we start!"

Willow: "How do we even know where to start? The Boiling Isles is huge. It'll take days to find Kikimora."

Willow had a point. The Isles was huge and Kikimora could be hiding anywhere.

Eda: "Lily, Darius, you both know her better than we do any idea where she would hide?"

Both shook their heads.

Lilith: "No clue."

Darius: "She wasn't exactly the most friendly. If she has any spots she likes to go to she never told any of us."

Lilith: "And everyone, even Steve wondered why she doesn't have any friends. Probably still lives with her mother."

Eda slammed her fist on the table in frustration. She knew this was gonna be hard but she didn't realize how impossible it was gonna seem. She was also stressed and angered by what Kikimora did to her kid, her student who she viewed as her own daughter.

Eda: "Any ideas?"

Alador: "Maybe we should split up and cover more ground."

Eda: "I like it! Good idea Blight. We'll go into teams of two and each team will search both halves of the Isles."

Boscha: (offscreen) "Count me in!"

Everyone turned their attention to the door and Saw Boscha standing at the doorway.

Skara: "Boscha!"

Skara ran and hugged her friend relieved that she was okay

Eda: "You wanna help? What's your game kid?"

Boscha: "I lost Kikimora, and it's kinda my fault that Luz left her memories in that room. Plus I owe Luz that much for saving my moms and my friends. Not to mention I still gotta bone to pick with that demon!"

Willow gives a sincere smile to Boscha. Seeing her volunteering to help Luz and right the wrongs she's done during the Collector's apocalypse. But she knew Boscha wouldn't say that out loud

Eda: "Well I'm not gonna turn down extra help. Ok, you're in!"

Collector: (offscreen) "Count me in as well."

Everyone turns to see Collector with Francoís in his arms, floating.

Collector: "Three Eyes isn't the only one who needs to make things right. It's my fault Luz and Amity were separated. If she, Ms Camila, and her friends were there then maybe Luz wouldn't…"

King immediately chimed in so Collector wouldn't reveal Luz's "death" to everyone, including Camila.

King: "The more the merrier. We could always need more help from a friend."

Collector smiles back at King with tears of happiness in their eyes, they float next to Eda and King and descend to the ground.

Eda: "Okay. So, here's the game plan. Lily will take Hooty, Darius, Gus, Skara, and Alador to Downtown Bonesborough and the ruins of Belos' castle. Me, Raine, Camila, King, Willow, Boscha, and Collector check the areas around the Isles such as the Redwood forest, The Collector's old Archive House, and the Knee."

Edric: "What about me?"

Eda: (wincing) "No offense Blight brother, but you're in a body cast. I don't think you can do much. Stay here and help Hunter and your sister watch over Luz."

Edric: "Fair."

Eda: "Alright let's do this. Whoever finds Kikimora first… be sure to beat her up senselessly."

Everyone pulls out their weapons and/or spells, looking like they're all ready to murder Kikimora. Raine taps Eda's shoulders, getting the Owl Lady's attention.

Raine: (uninterested) "Eda."

Eda: (groans) "What I meant is, don't beat her up too much. We'll take her in and hand her over to the Bonesborough Police Department."

Everyone lowers their weapons and/or spells, sighing in disappointment since they DON'T get to beat Kikimora up senselessly.

Raine: "I love you Eda, but you can get a bit TOO chaotic sometimes."

Eda: "Well, I am Hexside's former Lord Calamity. Now, let's go find that little snarky annoying piece of Emperor's…"

Eda holds her phrasing when she sees Camila covering King's hearing, Alador covering Edric's ears, Lilith covering Gus' ears and Raine covering the Collector's ears to make sure the young ones don't hear Eda about to curse.

Eda: "…Nevermind. You guys get what I mean."

Eda leads her group to the Redwood Forest, while Lilith leads her group to Bonesborough, all groups leaving The Owl House simultaneously. Emira, Hunter, and Edric see the two groups off, and then Edric suddenly falls to the ground.

Edric: (in pain) "Guys… a little help."

Emira: (facepalms) "Hunter, can you help me take him inside?"

Hunter: (sighs) "I got him."

(Inside Luz's mindscape)

Amity slowly opened her eyes as she got up from the ground. For some reason, she blacked out when Emira moved her into Luz's mind. Maybe it was because Emira never did those kinds of spells before or maybe it was just another odd thing about this entire thing. Amity looked around and saw she was in what looked like a castle. Something similar to what she and Luz thought would be in the Azura books. It made sense due to Luz's fascination with fantasy.

Amity: "So, this is Luz's mindscape. Looks very pretty, which isn't saying much since she loves Azura so much, as much as I do. Ok, now where to begin?"

Amity looked around and noticed almost every photo on the wall was burned much like photos in Willow's mind were. Hopefully fixing Luz's memories would be just as simple, unfortunately, she knew she was gonna have to face Luz's inner self sooner or later.

Amity: "I guess I'll start here."

Amity goes to a photo of what looks like younger Luz with a sword, she jumps into it and she finds herself inside the memory. Amity looks around and sees the room has no color to it. Then she hears a child laughing. She turns to see the young Luz appear and walks up to her computer, turning it on and showing off her new sword.

Amity: "Luz?"

Young Luz: (wielding a sword) "Look what I got at the convention." (laughs) "I'm gonna cut my hair with it."

Amity watches as Luz cuts her hair with the sword, she covers her mouth in fear that her young girlfriend might cut herself. Unfortunately, it ends up with some… not so good results, as Luz now has damaged short hair. Still a better result than her cutting herself.

Young Luz: "That was a bad idea!"

Amity laughs, but then notices the sword doesn't have its gem in the center. Amity sees something sparkling in the back, next to an Azura hat, she finds a red diamond and places it back into the sword.

The memory's color returns. Amity appears back outside the memory picture in Luz's mind, as she sees the results of fixing Luz's sword and restoring the memory photograph.

Amity: "Well, that was easy. Okay, where to next?"

As Amity was about to find another picture to go into she saw a shadowy figure standing down the hall. Amity felt a twitch of fear go down her spine looking at it and couldn't understand why. She had felt some kind of fear with her Mother and Belos but still, this figure felt more frightening than either of them. The figure walked up to another damaged picture and gestured to Amity to follow it and entered the picture. Amity questioned to herself if this was the inner Luz but this wasn't like what happened with Willow. Willow's inner self was hostile at first; this figure was different. Amity, despite her suspensions, followed the figure into the picture. Amity arrived in some hallway with no sign of the shadowy figure.

Amity: "Where did it go?"

Unknown voice: "Ok now you try."

Amity turned and saw a Young Luz with a sketchpad on a bed with some guy and a younger Camila sitting at the foot of the bed. Young Luz laughs and smiles as she continues drawing.

Young Luz: "I'm getting better!"

Camila: "Looks like it. She's gonna be as good as you one day, Manny."

Manny: "Well, she learned from the best. I always wanted to be an animator, but the world needed more firefighters I guess."

Young Luz and her parents laugh together while Amity looks on, she covers her mouth in shock when she realizes that the man on the bed with Luz is her deceased father, Manny Noceda. She was one of the only people Luz told about her father's passing, and from that day on, she and Luz stayed very close so that she would comfort her and help her through the grieving process.

Young Luz: (saddened) "Oh."

Manny: "What's wrong, Mija?"

Young Luz: "My graphing pencil doesn't have an eraser on it."

Amity looks around and sees an eraser behind a few medical pills. She moves some away and gives the eraser to Luz, smiling.

Young Luz: "Oh, Here it is!"

The color returned to the memory photo and Amity appeared back into the corridor of the mindscape.

Amity: "This isn't too bad… so far, anyway."

Amity turned and saw the shadowy figure causing Amity to yelp and fall backwards. The figure just stood there and said and did nothing.

Amity: "Wait! Are you the Inner Luz?"

The shadowy figure remained silent and started to walk away. Amity started following it. For some reason, it was less scary to Amity. This whole thing was odd to her. The figure went into another picture and she followed. Amity ended up in another room where she saw Young Luz standing across from her parents, her father with a cast on his leg.

Young Luz: "Maybe, you can get a less dangerous job."

Manny: "That's a good suggestion, but I can't do that Mija."

Young Luz: "Why?"

Manny: "It's a job where I help people and when I see someone in trouble even if it puts me in danger or costs me my life, I have to try to help no matter what. I feel like it's the right thing to do."

Amity saw where Luz gets her reckless courage from. It appeared her dad was the same way. Amity noticed Manny reaching for his crutch and she saw it on the ground behind the couch. Amity picked it up and placed it behind him and when he grabbed it color returned to the room and Amity was transported out of the picture. Amity looked at the photo and saw how concerned Luz was over her father.

Amity: "Oh Luz, now I know why you're always so recklessly courageous. I just never knew it would be because of…"

Young Luz: (offscreen) "It's not fair!"

Amity looks behind her and sees another damaged memory photo. Unfortunately, this one looks even more scarred and burned, and the only thing Amity can see is a gravestone. Her eyes widened when she realized whose gravestone it was, even so, she dived into the memory photo and ended up in Gravesfield Cemetery, where she saw Luz and her mother standing next to it. What she saw broke her heart. It was a young Luz practically bawling and a younger Camila with tears in her eyes standing in front of a gravestone. The name on the gravestone said "Manny Noceda, Beloved Husband and Father". Camila put her hand on Luz's back.

Camila (tearfully): "Luz..."

The tears just kept falling from Luz's eyes like a waterfall. Camila was trying to cheer her up but was at a loss for words. What could she say to cheer up a little girl who just lost her father at such a young age? Camila started to give Luz the flowers to place in the grave.

Camila: "Mija, give these to your dad."

Amity noticed 3 of the flowers were on the ground next to Camila. She went over and placed them back in the bundle. Color returned and Amity was again transported out of the memory. Amity turned back to the picture to see more of the memory. Luz had placed the flowers in front of the gravestone. Luz had collected herself just enough to talk.

Young Luz (Crying): "Why mama? Why him?"

Camila said nothing, she just wrapped Luz up in a hug and the two continued to cry together. Amity looked on in sadness, seeing the origin story of how Luz became who she was and how The Good Witch Azura gave her comfort through such a painful time. Amity turned her attention away from the memory photo. Amity had tears in her eyes but she didn't have time for tears. She still had a job to do. She quickly wiped away the tears and continued.

(Back in the Boiling Isles)

The two groups had split up and started searching for the short demon. Lilith's group has started checking the downtown Bonesborough and Eda's team started in the area where Boscha lost sight of her and started their search from there. The two groups checked thoroughly every inch of the areas they were searching.

King: "This is frustrating! Not only is the Isles huge but Kikimora is my size. She can hide in a hole in a tree."

Eda didn't respond but she knew King was right. They had been searching for nearly three hours and neither her nor Lilith's group had seen any sign of Kikimora. Eda looked at Camila who was searching but also had an extremely worried look on her face. Eda walked up to Camila and put her hand on her shoulder.

Eda: "The girls will be ok, and we'll find that pathetic creature."

Camila: "I know, It's just…..Luz is all I have! If Something happened to her….. "

Camilla started tearing up and Eda wrapped Camila up in a warm hug.

Eda: "I promise you Boots will do whatever it takes to save Luz! Titan knows how protective they are of each other."

King: "Yeah, especially if Amity was with us instead of you when we faced Belos and Luz was…"

Eda shushes King before he says anything about Luz's death to Camila.

Eda: "What King is trying to say, out of all of us, Amity cares deeply for Luz just as much as you do. Everything will be okay."

Camila: (breathes calmly) "Thank you, Eda. I'm glad Luz has you as a second mother."

Collector came up to Eda

Collector: "You aren't gonna tell her?"

Eda: "Luz should tell her, not me"

While Eda was trying to cheer up Camila, Willow, and Boscha were searching a different area together. They didn't say a word to each other. It was a little awkward due to their history and recent altercation. Willow was touched that Boscha of all people volunteered to help search but it could have only been for revenge on Kikimora.

Boscha: "Willow. Come here!"

Willow ran over to Boscha to see what she needed. When she arrived she saw Boscha sitting on the ground looking at some burnt wood on the ground.

Willow: "Looks like a campfire. Was there someone camping here?"

Boscha placed the back of her hand on the wood.

Boscha: "It's still warm."

Boscha then went through the wood and buried in the ashes she found part of a burnt photo.

Boscha: "This wasn't a campfire."

Willow looked up in the other direction and saw some trees with a bunch of limbs missing. Like something had flown through them.

Willow: "Look!"

Boscha looked in the direction Willow was pointing and started smirking.

Boscha: "I think we're close!"

Willow: "Let's get the others."

Boscha: "So how painfully should we hurt Kikimora when we see her?"

Willow: "Oh… violently."

Boscha: "Now you're talking!"

Willow and Boscha went to Eda and the others to tell them they found something.

Willow: "Eda! Kikimora was around here not long ago."

Eda: "What!? How do you know?"

Boscha: "We found some burnt wood that was still warm and some photos that had been burnt."

Eda: "Finally we got something!"

While Amity was getting closer to restoring Luz's memory, Eda and the others were getting closer to catching Kikimora.
