Chapter 3: The Seven Dwarves:

Bramrik's POV:

We were working in the mine.

Dwarves: We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig
In our mine the whole day through
To dig dig dig dig dig dig dig
Is what we like to do
It ain't no trick to get rich quick
If you dig dig dig with a shovel or a pick
In a mine! In a mine! In a mine! In a mine!
Where a million diamonds shine!

We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig
From early morn till night
We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig up
Everything in sight
We dig up diamonds by the score
A thousand rubies, sometimes more
Though we don't know what we dig 'em for
We dig dig dig a-dig dig

Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho
Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho

Heigh-ho

Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho
It's home from work we go

Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho

Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho
Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho
Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho
Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho

Heigh-ho hum

Heigh-ho
Heigh-ho
Heigh-ho!

Golden Sun's POV:

I decided to clean the place up. I have a good connection with animals, so they helped me clean the place up. After a hard day's work, I decided to go to bed.

Bramrik's POV:

We returned to our cottage, but something was different.

"I don't remember the place being so clean," says Norreth.

"The dust is all gone," says Yokkuli.

"It was a witch," says Thirumlin, "a witch cleaned the place and hid all the dishes!"

"We should get out of here," says Werakean.

"We should get rid of the witch," says Thirumlin.

"There's only one way to settle this," I said, "someone find the witch. Whoever wants to volunteer to whistle? Would you like to volunteer, Dorboic?"

Dorboic then whistles and we send him up.

Dorboic's POV:

I can't talk, but I can narrate. I was sneaking into the room when I saw someone sleeping in Yokkuli's bed. How come he gets the big bed anyway? I was taking a look at the stranger. When I saw an arm, I ran out the door like I was in a race.

Bramrik's POV:

Dorboic returned to us and told us, through his whistle, that something was sleeping in Yokkuli's bed.

"Someone's sleeping in Sally?!" asked Yokkuli. Yes, he names his bed.

"Men, let's get to work," I said.

. . .

We were ready to face the witch. Just as we were about to attack, we saw she was a young girl of 16, and we stopped in mid-air and then fell to the ground.

"Oh, I'm sorry," she said, "I... kind of broke into your place and... actually, there is no good excuse for what I did, is there?"

"UUUUUUUUUhhhhhhhhh... no," I said, "who might you be?"

"I'm White Rose," she said.

"I bram Amlik," I explained. I have trouble with words sometimes. "I mean, I am Bramlik."

"Norreth."

"Yokkuli."

"Werekeen."

"Doustet."

"Thirumlin."

"This is Dorboic," says Norreth, "he doesn't talk, he just whistles."

"You have to go," says Thirumlin, "we don't want a female in our cottage!"

"But Ting Song is after me," she said.

"The Demon," we all said, "why?"

"Well... the truth is, I'm really the long-lost princess. Golden Sun and Ting Song put a curse on me and I'm hiding from her."

"And now she could come for us," says Thirumlin.

"We'll keep you safe..." I began.

"When pigs fly!"

"We'll keep you safe when pigs fly... wait, that's not right. What am I saying?"

We then voted, and Thirumlin was outvoted, so Golden Sun, who is also known as White Rose, is allowed to stay with us.

Ting Song's POV:

Mah mighty manticore haes finally come back tae me!

"Tertirz, did ye fin' th' lassie?" I asked.

"Not exactly, Mistress," he said. "I was about to, but then this falcon with golden wings stopped me!"

"Mah manticore wis gubbed by a pigeon?"

"It wasn't a pigeon; it was a falcon!"

"'Twas aye a bawherr doo that ye shuid hae bin able tae easily overpower! We hae tae fin' her sae ah kin inact th' curse 'n' mak' th' entire kingdom suffer!"

"And why can't we just give the curse to her sister again?" asked Tertirz.

"Fur ah cannae dae th' curse again, 'twas a lot o' power. Noo fin' her 'n' this time, dinnae tak' sixteen years!"

Golden Sun's POV:

I was then preparing dinner for the dwarves. I convinced them to wash up first. I've lived with seven fairies, and most of them were obsessed with manners, and it rubbed off on me.

"Having a female in the house is nothing but trouble," says Thirumlin. I hope Thirumlin will learn to like me.

To Be Continued

In the next chapter, the Fairies attempt to escape from Ting Song.
