Chapter 5: I Stand Alone:
Golden Sun's POV:
We saw the young man.
"Thank you," I said. He was ignoring us. "Can you look at me when I talk to you?" I then saw that his eyes weren't blue but really white, which means... "You're blind!"
"Really," he says, sarcastically, "well, that explains a lot."
"I am Golden Sun," I decided to use my real name because, why not? "My adopted name was White Rose though, and these are Bramrik, Norreth, Yokkuli, Werakeen, Doustet, and Dorboic."
"Hi," says the blind man, "I'm Garrett and I should be going."
We then saw the falcon. "He has gold wings," I said.
"I'll have to take your word for it," says Garrett.
"He's the one who warned Thirumlin," I said.
"You seem pretty capable," says Bramrik, "will you let us come with you?"
"Look..."
"I'm down here," says Bramrik. "Golden Sun's the only one in our group who isn't a dwarf."
"Oh," says Garrett, "I don't do groups."
Garrett: I know the sound of each rock and stone
I embrace what others fear
You are not to roam in this forgotten place
Just the likes of me are welcome here.
Everything breathes
And I know each breathe is more than enough for this man.
Like every tree, stands on its own
Reaching for the sky I stand alone.
I share my world with no one else
All by myself
I stand alone.
Deep in the darkness, my heart still sees
Everything that I'd ever need.
High desire I'll go everywhere,
There's no need for sympathy.
Everything breathes and I know each breathe,
In my world there's no compromise.
Like every tree stands on its own, ohh
Reaching for the sky I stand alone.
I share my world with no one else,
All by myself
Still, I will remember
Still, I'll run with you.
And when it's time for you go, take me in your arms.
Like every tree stands on its own,
Reaching for the sky I stand alone.
I share my world with no one else
All by myself
I stand alone.
All by myself I stand alone...
"Well, I need your help," I said, "a demon is after me!"
"Do I look like a chi wizard?" Garrett inquires. "No seriously, do I? I have no idea what I look like."
"We know what you act like," says Doustet, "a jerk."
Garrett then walks off and we follow him.
Mythia's POV:
Thirumlin tells us everything.
"And now we have to save her before that demon finds her," says Thirumlin.
"You seem so worried about her," says Buttercup.
"I just don't like demons," says Thirumlin, "now come on already!"
"If Ting Song is successful in putting Golden Sun under the sleeping curse, she must be kissed by her true love in order to be awakened." I said.
"I doubt that it's the betrothed, because she never even met him," says Thirumlin.
He's right, but who is the true love of Princess Golden Sun and where is he and how is he going to find her and awaken her with True Love's First Kiss.
Ting Song's POV:
"Ye eejit! Ye wur suppose tae grab th' lassie nae some dwarf!"
"He got in the way," says Tertirz.
"Noo we hae tae fin' her sae ah kin perform mah curse! Ony questions?"
"How come you have an accent when your siblings don't," asks Tertirz.
"Let's juist gang!"
Golden Sun's POV:
We continued to follow Garrett, but there was something odd going on.
"Well, White Rose, it looks like we're in gargoyle territory," says Garrett, who's using my adopted name instead of my birth name.
"Did you say gargoyle?" I asked.
We then heard something gargoylely.
To Be Continued
