The Thieves Get a Boat

(Based on the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia episode 'The Gang Buys a Boat')

One morning, Yuuki Mishima is seen leading his friends to the docks to show them something.

"What are we doing here, guys?" Shiho asked the geeky couple.

"Yeah, what's this big surprise?" Ryuji asked.

"Well, this surprise has some bad news tied to it," Yuuki said, "First off, I regret to inform you all that my Great Aunt Chieko passed away about two days ago."

"We're sorry to hear that, Mishima," Ren said, "Were you and her close?"

"Not really," Yuuki said, "But that didn't stop her from leaving me something nice in her will."

"She left you something, babe?" Futaba asked, "What did she leave you."

Yuuki stayed silent for a few moments before finally answering, "A boat!"

Hearing that made the 13 young adults and one cat become wide eyed in amazement. Just knowing that one of their friends has access to a boat of his very own made the remaining days of their respective summers that much more enjoyable.

"You're lying," Ann said, "Your great aunt actually left you a boat!"

"You bet," Yuuki said, "I've always wanted a boat of my very own. And the best part is that I can share it with all of you guys. Oh, I can just see us now."

Yuuki's Imagine Spot

In Yuuki's imagination, he sees himself, all 13 of his friends, and Morgana dressed up in black suits, ties, and sunglasses, with Ryuji wearing a black tophat. The group are on the bow of a luxurious yacht as they prepare their song.

Ryuji: (Autotuned) Shawty!

Yuuki: Aw shit! Get your towels ready, it's about to go down! Everybody in the place hit the fuckin' deck! But stay on your motherfuckin' toes! We runnin' this, let's go!

All: I'm on a boat! (Ryuji: I'm on a boat!) I'm on a boat! (Ryuji: I'm on a boat!) Everybody look at me, 'cause I'm sailin' on a boat! (Ryuji: Sailin' on a boat!) I'm on a boat! (Ryuji: I'm on a boat!) I'm on a boat! Take a good hard look at the motherfuckin' boat! (Ryuji: Yeah!)

Yusuke: Take a picture, trick! (Ryuji: Trick) I'm on a boat, bitch! (Ryuji: Bitch) We drinkin' Santana champ, 'cause it's so crisp (Ryuji: Crisp). I got my swim trunks, and my flippy-floppies! I'm flipping burgers, you at Leblanc's straight cookin' curry!

Makoto: I'm ridin' on a dolphin, doin' flips and shit! (Ryuji: Yeah) The dolphin's splashin', gettin' everybody all wet! (Ryuji: Oh!) But this ain't AquaLand! This as real as it gets! (Ryuji: Yeah, yeah!) I'm on a boat, motherfucker, don't you ever forget!

Ichiro: I'm on a boat, and it's going fast, and I got a nautical themed pashmina afghan! I'm the king of the world, on a boat like Leo! If you're on the shore, then you're sho' not me-oh!

Ryuji: Get the fuck up! This boat is real!

Daisuke: Fuck land, I'm on a boat (All: Motherfucker!) Fuck trees, I climb buoys (All: Motherfucker!) I'm on the deck with my crew (All: Motherfucker) The boat engine makes noise (All: Motherfucker!)

Ren: Hey, ma, if you could see me now! (Ryuji: See me now!) Arms spread wide on the starboard bow! (Ryuji: Starboard bow) Gonna fly this boat to the moon somehow! (Ryuji: Moon somehow) You know what they say; anything is possible!

Shiho: Yeah! Never thought I'd be on a boat! (Ryuji: Let's go!) It's a big, blue, watery road (Ryuji: Yeah!) Poseidon, look at me, ohh! (Ryuji: All hands on deck!)

Ann: Never thought I'd see the day (Ryuji: Shawty!) When a big boat comin' my way! Believe us when we say (Ryuji: Woo!)

All: We fucked a mermaid!

All: I'm on a boat! (Ryuji: Yeah, yeah!) I'm on a boat! (Ryuji: Yeah, yeah!) Everybody look at me, 'cause I'm sailin' on a boat! (Ryuji: Whoa-woo!) I'm on a boat! I'm on a boat! (Ryuji: Sha-sha-sha) Take a good hard look at the motherfuckin' boat!

Ryuji: Sha-sha-sha Shawty! Shawty! Yeah, yeah, yeah!

End Imagine Spot

"Oh yeah, let's make all that happen!" Yuuki said to himself as his imagine spot came to an end.

"So, Mishima, what's this boat like?" Hifumi asked.

"I hope it's a speedboat," Ryuji said, "I have a need for speed! You all know I do!"

"I hope it's a big boat," Ann said, "Big enough so we can throw some killer parties."

"Hang on, now," Yusuke chimed in, "I'd like the boat to be able to haul in vast amounts of fish, shrimp, and especially lobster!"

"Lookin' to get a headstart on a seafood restaurant, Yusuke?" Ichiro teased.

"Sorry to disappoint you all, but even I don't know what this boat looks like," Yuuki admitted, "I didn't even know Great Aunt Chieko had a boat until it was passed onto me in the will. All I know about it is where it's docked. Which should be right about here."

The group stop in their tracks as they made it to where Yuuki's Great Aunt's boat was docked. They stay in stunned silence for what felt like an eternity because the boat they find…

…is a decrepit old houseboat that looks like it was made in the 1950s, with rust and peeled paint all over the body, barnacles plaguing the bottom of the boat, old fishing equipment laying on deck, and the group can only imagine how much worse the boat looks on the inside.

All 15 members of the group stare at the boat completely aghast, their original visions of the boat shattered in an instant.

"Okay, Mishima, you and your Great Aunt have an amazing sense of humor," Ryuji said, completely in denial, "Now tell us where the real boat is."

"This is the real boat," Yuuki said.

"I don't know how to tell you this, babe," Futaba began, "But your Great Aunt did not love you if this is what she left you in her will."

Yuuki looked around at his friend's disappointed expressions and body language before looking back at the boat.

"Okay, maybe the boat isn't exactly what we thought it would be," Yuuki began, "But, let's look on the brightside. With my Great Aunt's boat being in desperate need of refurbishing, the lot of us can use this as an opportunity to build the boat of our dreams. Who knows? Once we fix it up, it might be even better than what we imagined."

Slowly but surely, everyone started to warm up to the boat.

"I guess this boat can hold a reasonable amount of lobster," Yusuke said.

"And we can still have parties on this boat," Ann said, "Just not big ones."

"And with this boat being a houseboat, it'll give us the best of both worlds," Morgana said, "The advantages of a house with all of the excitement of the sea."

"Sounds like Morgana's warming up to the idea of fixing this boat up," Ren said, translating for the cat as six of the fourteen humans present can't understand him.

"Alright, so we're all in agreement?" Yuuki asked, "We're going to fix this baby up?"

"We're all in, Mishima," Daisuke said with a confident nod.

"Sweet!" Yuuki said excitedly.

"Alright, Yuuki, it's your boat, what do you want us to do?" Haru asked.

"Since there are fourteen of us here, no offense to Morgana," Yuuki began as Morgana pouted at him, "I say we split up into two groups of seven. One group works on the inside of the boat, while another group works on the outside of the boat; starting with getting rid of the barnacles. Any volunteers?"

The ones not afraid to get their hands dirty step up; Ryuji, Makoto, Daisuke, Ichiro, Yusuke, Sumire, and Shiho.

"Alright, cool," Yuuki said, "So that leaves me, Futaba, Ren, Ann, Haru, Hayato, and Hifumi to take care of the inside of the boat."

"Let's go take a look, everyone," Futaba said as she led her group to the inside of the boat, leaving the other seven to get started on cleaning up the boat's exterior.

Upon entering the boat's interior, the seven young adults and one cat were appalled to find that the inside of the boat looked even worse than the outside; With peeling wallpaper, moldy and tattered furniture, and dusty knick-knacks on old shelves just to name a few of the problems.

"Oh yeah, we've got our work cut out for us," Hayato said.

"We need to do an overhaul on all of this," Ann said, "I'm talking new wallpaper, new floors, new furniture, new everything basically."

"Lucky for us we're friends with someone who's loaded," Futaba whispered, discreetly pointing at Haru.

"Is that all I am to you people? An ATM machine?" Haru pouted, overhearing her orange haired friend.

"No, I didn't mean to insult you, Haru, honest," Futaba responded.

"Aw, I'm only teasing," Haru said sweetly, "Sure, I'll help out anyway I can financially."

"Great," Ann said, "Once we get new furniture, we'll be one step closer to having an awesome party boat!"

"Why wait until we get new furniture," Hifumi asked as she took her phone out from her pocket to play music, "Let's have a little dance party right now?"

Hifumi toyed with her phone for a few minutes before music started to come from it.

(BGM: 'American Boy' by Estelle ft. Kanye West)

Once the music started playing, Hifumi put her phone down on a nearby table and she started dancing for her friends. As she danced Hifumi started moving her body, as well as waving and flailing her arms to the beat. Hayato watched Hifumi as if her dance was the most adorable thing ever to him, but Yuuki, Futaba, Ren, Ann, Morgana, and Haru just looked at the Shogi player with puzzled looks on their faces.

"Are you alright, Hifumi?" Futaba asked, "Are you having a seizure right now?"

"What are you talking about?" Hifumi asked as she continued to dance, "I'm just breaking out my moves."

"You look like one of those inflatable tube guys from the car lot," Futaba said.

"You're just jealous because you don't have smooth moves like these," Hifumi boasted.

"Hifumi quit fooling," Futaba said, "You can't dance to save your life."

"Futaba, leave her alone," Hayato scolded.

"You actually like this?" Futaba asked.

"Yes, it's cute," Hayato said, "She's adorable."

"You're only saying that because she's your girlfriend and you have to take her side so you can get some from her later," Futaba said.

"That is so not true," Hayato scolded, "Not everything in a relationship is based on sex, you know."

"Oh, whatever," Futaba said as she turned back to Hifumi, "Hifumi, I'm going to find one of those tube things, and I'm going to bring it in here so you can see it."

"Go ahead, bring him in," Hifumi boasted as she continued to dance, "We'll have ourselves a little dance competition."

"I'm going to be the judge of that contest," Futaba shouted, her argument with Hifumi and Hayato firing her up, "Then you'll see…"

"Babe, babe, calm down," Yuuki said, calming his girlfriend down as Hifumi turned her music off, (End BGM)"Alright, nobody is bringing any tube men on this boat. Now let's get back to the topic at hand; refurbishing the interior of this boat."

"Okay, Mishima, what do we have to do," Ren asked.

"Ren," Yuuki began, "You, Ann, Hifumi, Hayato, Haru, and if you can get Morgana involved somehow, you guys are going to start by cleaning out this whole boat. Once it's all cleared out, then we can work on decorations. While you're doing that, Futaba and I are going to go to the store and grab some supplies."

"Get to work, everybody," Futaba said as she and Yuuki left the group of five humans and one cat to their own devices.

"Well I'm someone who likes to listen to music while she works," Hifumi says as she turns the music back on on her phone before she and the rest of the group start to clean.

Outside with the group of Ryuji, Makoto, Daisuke, Ichiro, Yusuke, Sumire, and Shiho, they don't seem to be working at all, but rather going through the old fishing equipment that's on deck to see what they could salvage.

"I know you're excited to catch some lobster, Yusuke," Ryuji said as he examined a fishing rod, "But I'm looking to bag me some catfish."

"Oh really?" Yusuke said, interested, "That's interesting. What else do you guys want to catch?"

"I personally wouldn't mind catching and cooking some eels," Ichiro said.

"You do know that the Japanese eel is endangered right?" Makoto asked her male gymnast friend.

"I can dream, can't I?" Ichiro asked.

As the group continued examining the fishing equipment and having discussions about their most desired seafoods, Futaba and Yuuki came up to them.

"Alright guys, Yuuki and I are going to head over to the boat store to get some supplies," Futaba said before noticing that the seven young adults weren't doing the task that was assigned to them, "Uh, what are you guys doing?"

"Just examining some of this gear," Shiho said.

"What happened to scraping the barnacles off of the boat?" Yuuki asked.

"We'll do that in a bit," Ryuji said, "But first I want to see what we're working with in regards to these fishing poles and lobster cages."

"No," Futaba scolded, "Scrape barnacles now, fish later."

"Well, if we fish now, we could come back with some fresh seafood for lunch," Yusuke said.

"News flash, Inari," Futaba said, "Fishing takes a long time if you do it right. Time is a luxury we don't have. I want this boat done before summer's end."

"Yes your majesty," Ichiro teased.

"Look, if you guys get to work on those barnacles now, we promise we'll return with some Big Bang Burger," Yuuki said.

The seven look at each other and then back at the nerdy couple, their interests piqued.

"Alright, but hurry back, we're starving," Makoto said.

"You got it," Yuuki said as he and Futaba left for the boat store.

"I don't know how long they're going to be," Ryuji said, "All I know is I can't wait to go out there and do some fishing."

Suddenly, Ryuij looks onto the dock to see that Yuuki had dropped the boat's keys when he made his exit with Futaba, and he went to go pick them up.

"And it looks like fate wants us to go fishing too," Ryuji said.

"I really think we should focus on getting the barnacles off of the boat," Makoto said.

"We'll just be quick, Makie, don't worry," Ryuji said in a reassuring tone as he pointed out to the ocean, "Alright team, this is what we're going to do. We're going to fire up the boat, take it out into the ocean, and grab us some catfish, oysters, eels, lobsters, and whatever is in between all that."

"Sounds like a plan," Daisuke said, "Toss me the keys. I'll drive this baby."

"Alright," Ryuji said as he readied his throwing arm, "Heads up!"

Unfortunately, when Ryuji threw the keys, he threw them overhand, meaning that they sailed right over Daisuke's head and landed in the water instead.

"Nice work, Jiji," Shiho said sarcastically.

"What the hell was that?" Sumire asked.

"Yeah, man, I said toss me the keys," Daisuke said, "Not, yeet them over my head!"

"That's the way I throw," Ryuji defended himself.

"Great, now we gotta jump in there and fetch them," Daisuke said.

"That might be a problem for me," Shiho said, "I don't sink."

"Huh?" Makoto went.

"If I get in water and I try to swim down I go nowhere," Shiho explained, "I just bob around like a cauliflower."

"Alright, fine, here's the plan," Makoto said, annoyed, "Shiho can stay up here and work with Ichiro, Daisuke, and Yusuke on getting rid of the barnacles while Ryuji, Sumire, and I dive for the keys. Does that sound fair?"

"Perfect," Daisuke said, "Let's get to it, gang."

And so, the four of them got to work on removing the barnacles from the boat while Ryuji, Makoto, and Sumire took a deep breath and jumped into the water to search for the keys that Ryuji lost. Unfortunately, between Daisuke, Shiho, Ichiro, and Yusuke, they only had one knife, that being Ichiro's pocket knife, to scrape the barnacles off, so the four of them decided to work in 15-30 minute shifts. Ichiro would go first, followed by Daisuke, then Yusuke, and finally Shiho.

40 Minutes Later

In the middle of Daisuke's turn, the four of them immediately noticed how little progress they were making with just one knife.

"This is getting us nowhere," Shiho said.

"I think we need more than just a knife, guys," Yusuke said, "We need chemicals or something."

"Well, go text Futaba and Mishima and tell them to pick up some lemons," Daisuke said as he scraped another barnacle off of the boat, "I hear citric acid is great for removing these things."

"Already on it," Yusuke said as he took his phone out.

While Yusuke texted his nerdy friends, and Daisuke continued scraping barnacles off of the boat, Shiho decided to check on Ryuji, Makoto, and Sumire to see if they made any progress in finding the keys. The black haired volleyball player walked over to the edge of the dock where her friends were searching, and that was when she saw a pile of wet, old, knick-knacks sitting on the dock, and Sumire and Makoto adding to that pile.

"What's going on here?" Shiho asked, "Did you guys find the keys?"

"No, but we're finding all of these old artifacts down there," Sumire answered as she added an old picture frame she found to the pile.

"Artifacts?" Shiho asked, confused, as Ryuji resurfaced with more 'treasures'.

"Look what I found, girls," Ryuji said as he swam over to his friends, "I found this shark tooth. Maybe a shark hunter was here or something. And I also found this bullet."

He handed the bullet to Shiho to show it to her.

"Wow, Ryuji, I think you found a war relic," Shiho said as she examined the bullet, "Most of this stuff looks pretty valuable and could net us a pretty penny."

"I wonder how all this stuff ended up at the bottom of the ocean anyway?" Sumire wondered to herself.

"It's a mystery, that's for sure," Makoto said as Ryuji got out of the water to grab a flashlight.

"Who knows what else is down there, Maybe some gold coins." Ryuji said as he went on the deck of the boat to grab a flashlight that he found while examining the fishing equipment earlier, "I say we keep diving and see what else is down there."

"Toss the flashlight here," Sumire said.

"Yeet!" Ryuji shouted as, once again, the flashlight goes flying over Sumire's head and landing in the water.

"Really?!" Sumire said, annoyed, "You didn't learn from last time?!"

"I throw overhand, Sumire," Ryuji said, "What else do you want me to say?"

"Whatever, let's just see what else we can find," Sumire said as she got back in the water.

"Don't forget to keep your eyes peeled for the keys, guys," Makoto said as she jumped into the water.

"Cannonball!" Ryuji shouted as he jumped into the water.

As Shiho watched her three friends dive, from inside the boat, she heard something break.

"What's all the hubbub?" Shiho asked herself as she went into the boat to check on the group responsible for refurbishing the boat's interior

(BGM: Ruff Ryder's Anthem by DMX)

Inside the boat, we see Ann, Morgana, and Haru throwing the knick-knacks out the window and into the water, unaware that Ryuji, Sumire, and Makoto are bringing them back up outside. Ren, Hayato, and Hifumi are nowhere to be found, but Hifumi left her phone behind so the two girls and one cat have some music to listen to while they work. As the blonde, floofy haired girl, and cat continue polluting the ocean with the knick-knacks, Shiho enters to check on them.

"What's going on in here?" Shiho asked, "Where did Ren, Hifumi, and Hayato go?"

"They left to go get some tools so we can gut this place," Haru said.

"In the meantime we're throwing these old dolls, compasses, and other tchotchkes overboard," Ann chimed in.

"Are you sure that's safe?" Shiho asked.

"Believe us, there are far worse things being put into this ocean," Haru said.

After that, Shiho looked around at the interior of the boat.

"This place does look like it's seen better days," Shiho said, "What did you two have in mind when redecorating?"

"Kitchenette there," Ann said as she pointed at a corner of the boat, "A T.V up there. Big couch right where you're standing. A nice wine colored carpet. Some mahogany furniture with comfy cushions. You know, the essentials."

While Ann was going over redecoration plans with her friend, Ren, Hifumi, and Hayato returned with two ball peen hammers, a sledgehammer, an axe, and a chainsaw.

"Alright, girls, we're back," Ren said, "Choose your weapon!"

"Oh, the axe is mine!" Haru said almost wickedly.

"Give me the sledgehammer, Ren," Shiho said.

With Haru taking the axe and Shiho taking the sledgehammer, that leaves Hayato with the chainsaw and Ren and Hifumi with the ball peen hammers.

"Alright, stand back, everyone, things are about to get messy!" Haru said as she took her axe to a shelf, breaking it, "Woo! Crash and burn!"

"Die, Kamoshida!" Shiho yelled as she took her sledgehammer to a table, envisioning Kamoshida in front of her.

"Holy mackerel!" Hayato said in amazement before revving up his chainsaw and taking it to an old, tattered and moldy couch. As the scarlet haired man hacked away at the couch, the cushion's stuffing was flying all over the place and Hayato was cackling maniacally.

"Oh, this is fun!" Haru said as she took out another shelf with her axe, "Die, you sucker!"

"Rockstar!" Morgana shouted to himself as he leapt up to a piece of torn wallpaper, pulling it down and ripping it further.

"Easy there, Morgana," Ann said as she threw another knick-knack into the water.

Ren and Hifumi were also going crazy with their ball peen hammers, breaking tables and shelves. Hifumi, unfortunately, went a little too crazy and ended up hitting an electrical outlet, causing sparks to fly for a short time.

"Okay, note to self," Hifumi said, "Call an electrician."

"Noted," Ren said as he continued smashing things with his hammer.

(End BGM)

While this insanity unfolded, Yuuki and Futaba returned from the boat store with the supplies they needed and some Big Bang Burger for a lunch break. They also have a big box in their possession, with the contents of that box being unknown at this time.

"Turpentine, wax, lemons, high-gloss boat paint," Futaba said as she looked over all the items that she and her boyfriend purchased, "This'll make at least the exterior of the boat look brand new."

"I sure hope everyone is working hard," Yuuki worried.

"You underestimate our friends, Yuuki," Futaba reassured her lover, "I'm sure as we speak they are working tirelessly on refurbishing that old boat of yours."

Futaba would be proven wrong, however, as they see only Yusuke, Ichiro, and Daisuke scraping the barnacles off of the boat, with Ryuji, Makoto, Sumire, and Shiho nowhere to be found. On top of that, they hear the sound of crashing and loud music from within the boat.

"What the hell is this?" Futaba asked as she and Yuuki put their supplies and lunch down and entered the boat.

When they entered the boat, they found a huge mess due to Ren, Hayato, Shiho, and Haru breaking things while Hifumi and Ann took a dance break as they're seen vibing to the music that Hifumi has on her phone.

"What are you guys doing in here?!" Yuuki shouted, causing all activity to stop as Hifumi shut her music off, "What did you all do to the boat?! It looks worse than before!"

"You guys are just destroying everything!" Futaba chimed in, "You were supposed to be fixing it up and making it look nice!"

"Well if we were going the whole refurbishing route we figured we might as well tear everything down and rebuild from the ground up," Hayato said to the very angry nerdy couple.

"Okay, that's it," Yuuki shouted, "Crew meeting! Everyone outside for a crew meeting! And where is Ryuji, Makoto, and Sumire?!"

"They're in the water," Shiho said.

"What the hell are they doing in the water?" Futaba asked annoyed as everyone left the boat and headed towards the dock where Ryuji, Makoto, and Sumire were located.

On the dock, the three divers were looking over the trinkets they found.

"Aw man," Ryuji said happily, "This is our nest egg here, guys! Once we clean them up, just imagine the yen we'll get!"

While the trio continued looking over their loot, the rest of their friend group came up to them. They noticed their presence, and Ryuji wasted no time in showing off their findings, which Haru, Ann, and Morgana noticed looked very familiar to them.

"Guys, we're so glad you're here," Ryuji said, excitedly, "You would not believe the kind of treasure that's hiding underneath this boat! It's like a whole world of antiques down there! Look at these dolls, compasses, and statuettes! We even found a few bullets from war times. Which war, I don't know, but I bet it'll net us a lot of money!"

Ryuji was expecting praise from his peer group. What he got instead was a very angry, "Damn it, Ryuji!" From Ann.

"Haru, Morgana, and I spent the last hour throwing this stuff overboard and you guys are just dragging it all back up," Ann continued.

"You guys have been dumping the trash in the ocean?!" Yuuki shouted, "What is wrong with you?!"

"The ocean is already polluted enough," Haru said, "What's the harm in adding a little more?"

"Wow, Haru," Yusuke said, disappointed in his girlfriend, "Just…wow."

"What were you three even doing in the ocean to begin with?" Futaba asked Ryuji, Makoto, and Sumire.

"Well, this one," Sumire began, glaring at Ryuji before turning her attention back to Futaba, "Thought it would be a good idea to, not hand or lightly toss the boat keys to us, but rather yeet them over our heads so they can fall into the water!"

"For the last time, Sumire, overhand is how I throw," Ryuji said.

"I don't believe this," Yuuki said, "We leave you alone for an hour and you destroy the interior of the boat, pollute the ocean, and lose the keys. Are there any other mishaps I should know about?"

"Yeah, we need to call an electrician," Ren said.

"Why?" Yuuki asked, clearly on his wits end.

"While destroying the stuff on the boat I accidentally hit a power outlet, and I don't think it's safe for use," Hifumi explained.

At that moment, Yuuki began trembling with fury and Futaba had to rub his shoulder to calm him down. With a deep breath, Yuuki kept his cool before he continued talking.

"Alright," Yuuki said, "New plan. Ryuji, since you're the one who lost the keys, you have to be the one to find them. Everyone else can either work on scraping the barnacles off the bottom of the boat, cleaning out the inside of the boat without polluting the water, or painting the exterior of the boat."

"Sounds good," Ichiro said.

"Alright, let's get a move on, everyone," Yuuki said, "We're losing daylight here."

"Uh, hang on," Ryuji said, "If you want me to go diving for the keys, can you get me some scuba equipment."

"Are you kidding me?" Futaba asked annoyed, "We just came back from the boat store, now you want us to go back? And besides, do you know how much scuba equipment costs?"

"Just rent the cheap stuff," Ryuji said, "The keys have probably sunk all the way to the bottom by now and I need to be able to stay down there for an extended period of time."

"Alright, Ryuji," Yuuki sighed, "We'll get you some scuba equipment. Just, please everyone, actually make an effort in fixing up this boat."

"We promise you, Mishima, by the time you and Futaba return, the boat will be looking better," Ren said.

"We're holding you to it," Futaba said, "Oh, one more thing. You see that box over there?"

Futaba pointed towards the box with the rest of the supplies.

"Yeah," Daisuke said, "What's in it?"

"Open it and find out," Futaba said as she and Yuuki made their leave.

We then cut to Futaba and Yuuki after their trip to the boat store as they're seen walking back to the docks, scuba equipment in hand.

"I cannot believe how much it costs just to rent scuba gear," Yuuki said, "I'm starting to think that this boat might be more trouble than it's worth."

"I don't know why you're complaining," Futaba said, "Haru said most of the expenses are going to come out of her pocket."

"Still, I don't want to take advantage," Yuuki said.

As the nerdy couple continued to walk towards the docks, they passed a telephone poll with a poster taped onto it. The poster in question advertises a 'Boat Party' going on later in the evening.

"Hey, look at this," Futaba said, "A boat party/mixer is going on later tonight."

"So?" Yuuki asked, confused.

"So, now that we have a boat too, this could be a great way of making our presence known among the boating community, making even more friends and living the boater lifestyle," Futaba said, "Who knows, after the party, we could invite some of the boaters to our boat and keep the party going all night."

Yuuki thought for a few minutes before coming to a decision, "Alright, Futaba, let's do it! Let's make our presence known and become real boat people!"

"Awesome," Futaba said, "But I feel like these guys won't take us seriously. We'll need to send some of our more mature friends out as these sort of ambassador like characters."

"How about Ren and Ann?" Yuuki suggested, "Ann's been talking about boat parties all day. I'm sure she'd love to go."

"Great," Futaba said, "They'll go, advertise our boat, and then we'll all be living the high life."

As the couple continued their walk back to the dock with Ryuji's scuba equipment, they engaged in more conversation.

"So, babe, I was thinking that if we're going to become boat people, we should look the part," Futaba said, "You know, get clothes that boaters wear."

"I don't know, babe," Yuuki said, unsure, "I feel like we're spending enough money as it is. I don't want to buy a new set of clothes just for this boat. It's bad enough I let you buy that inflatable tube man from the car lot."

(BGM: Evacuate the Dancefloor by Cascada)

Back at Yuuki's boat, we see the other twelve young adults hard at work while Morgana naps on the dock. Ann, Haru, and Ren are cleaning out the inside of the boat, taking the trash and debris outside and putting them in garbage bags. Ryuji is still looking for the keys while Makoto, Sumire, Ichiro, and Daisuke continue to scrape the barnacles off of the boat. As for Hayato, Hifumi, Yusuke, and Shiho, they're painting the boat's exterior. Unfortunately, the area where Hifumi is painting is also the area where the inflatable tube man is placed. Said tube man is also what was in the box from earlier.

As Hifumi continues to paint, the inflatable tube man gets blown in her direction, distracting her.

"Stop it!" Hifumi shouted at the inflatable decoration as she tried to push it away from her "Stop it! Damn it, don't!"

"Yeah, like the damn thing will listen to you," Makoto teased as she alternated between scraping barnacles and watching the Shogi player wrestle the inflatable tube man.

"It's not the puffy guy, Hifumi, it's the music," Yusuke said, "It's this aggressive music you're playing. This is not boat music."

"It has nothing to do with the music," Hifumi said as she continued to fight the tube man.

Hifumi managed to get the decoration in her grasp before reaching down to the power button on the base, shutting it off.

"Why did Futaba buy this thing again?" Hifumi asked.

"Maybe she thinks Mishima's boat could use some pizazz," Ann said, overhearing Hifumi.

"Well this is the way wrong way to get it," Hifumi said as she shut the music off.

Not long after Hifumi shut the music and tube man off did Ryuji come up on the docks with some good news.

"Hey, guys, guess what!" Ryuji said.

"Hold that thought, Ryuji, here comes Futaba and Mishima," Yusuke said as the nerdy couple approached them.

"Alright, what's it look like, everyone?" Futaba asked.

Yuuki and Futaba looked over at the boat to find almost all of the barnacles gone, most of the trash from within the boat gone, and the exterior of the boat had a nice coating of paint.

"I must stay, everyone, I'm impressed," Yuuki said proudly, "You guys actually pulled through."

"Thanks, Mishima," Ichiro said, "We're just sorry the lot of us dropped the ball the first time."

"It's fine," Yuuki said, "I'm sorry me and Futaba lost our tempers with you guys."

"Don't worry about it, Mishima," Shiho said, "We're all still friends."

"Anyway, I think our boat is almost ready to be presented to other boaters," Futaba said.

"What do you mean by that?" Ren asked.

"While we were out getting scuba equipment, Yuuki and I found this poster for a boat party/mixer," Futaba explained, "We figured we'd send two of you out to this party and advertise for us."

"It would be a good idea to make some boater friends," Makoto said, "They might even be able to teach us a thing or two."

"Who were you guys think of sending to this party?" Hayato asked.

"We decided on Ren and Ann," Yuuki said, "They have the friendlier faces and people might respond to them better."

"Alright," Ren smiled.

"Awesome," Ann smiled.

"When's this party?" Ren asked.

"I think the poster said 7 P-M," Futaba said, "So I'd leave and get ready if I were you two."

"Sounds good," Ann said, "Come on, babe, we've got a lot of preparation to make."

"Can I come too?" Morgana asked.

"Something's telling me this is a 'no pets allowed' type deal," Ren said to the frowning cat, "Sorry."

"Catch you guys later," Ann said as she and Ren left to get ready for the party.

After they left, Yuuki presented Ryuji with the scuba gear.

"Well, Ryuji, here's your scuba equipment," Yuuki said, "Searching for the keys should be easier now."

"Actually I was about to give everyone some good news before you arrived," Ryuji said as he reached into his pocket, "Guess who found the keys!"

Everyone cheered as Ryuji took the boat keys out from his pocket.

"You found the keys!" Yuuki said happily, "Where'd you find them? How'd you find them?"

"You see this keychain?" Ryuji asked, showing of a red ball attached to the keys, "They were floating under the boat with the help of this keychain. Your Great Aunt must've prepared for a mishap like this, Mishima."

"My folks always did say that Great Aunt Chieko planned for every outcome in a situation," Yuuki said, "That thought process seems to have worked in our favor."

"Anyway, now that we have the keys and this boat looks way better than how we found it, what do you guys say we take it out later tonight and big party!" Ryuji asked, causing everyone to cheer in agreement.

Later that night, on different docks, Ren and Ann, in their best formal casual attire, approach the boat that the party was being held on; a luxurious yacht.

"Well this looks like the place," Ren said.

"Wow, what a beaut," Ann said as she looked at the yacht.

"You said it," Ren said, "Let's hop on board."

Ren and Ann walk up the gangplank and board the yacht. When they did, they were surprised to see that they were underdressed. Everyone on board had the appearance of a filthy rich socialite; not the type of crowd Ren and Ann were used to. The socialites noticed the couples presence, looked at them for a few seconds before resuming whatever activity they were doing.

"Uh, do we have the right place," Ann asked.

"Yeah, this is the party," A servant said, walking by with a fresh bottle of champagne.

"This isn't the crowd I was expecting," Ren said.

"Well we're here, we might as well try and have a good time," Ann said.

"Don't forget we're also here to make our presence known as boaters too, Ann," Ren reminded his girlfriend.

"Let's split up," Ann said, "We can meet more people that way."

"Okay," Ren agreed as they both went over to two different groups of socialites.

With Ren, he goes up to a group of men who are chatting and sipping on fine wine.

"Hey, everyone," Ren greeted, catching the male socialites' attention, "So, you guys read any good books lately? I just got done reading Steven Ling's 'The Glimmering'."

"Hmph, how droll," One socialite said.

"Okay not fans of horror," Ren said, disappointed, "Hey, how about a joke?"

"Does it involve politics?" Another socialite said.

"No," Ren answered.

"Not interested," The socialite said.

"Oh, well," Ren said, changing gears, "My friends and I just got a boat and we were hoping you guys could-"

"We wouldn't come to your boat if it meant unlimited wealth and world peace, sir," The third socialite said, rudely.

"Alright," Ren said as he walked away, muttering under his breath, "You didn't have to be so rude."

With Ann, she's trying to talk with a female socialite.

"That's a lovely dress," Ann said to one of the women, "I love the color."

"And who are you?" The female socialite asked.

"Just someone looking to make some new friends," Ann said nicely, "See, my friends and I just got a boat of our own and we were looking to find someone who could give us some ad-"

"Who let this riff-raff onto the yacht?" The female socialite asked rudely.

"I'm not riff-raff, ma'am, I'm looking for someone who would like to check out our boat and show us the ropes when living boat life," Ann said.

All the socialite did in response was turn away from the blonde woman and said, "Sod off, harlot!"

A heartbroken Ann walked away from her and rejoined Ren by the gangplank that they entered from.

"Well, this party's a bust," Ann said.

"Yeah, these are not the kind of people that we're used to," Ren said.

"You want to just head back to our boat and hang out with our friends for the rest of the evening?" Ann asked.

"Took the words right out of my mouth, babe," Ren responded, "Let's go."

Before they left, however, they were stopped by a socialite with short, well-groomed, brown hair.

"I couldn't help but overhear you two, "The brown haired socialite said, "You said you have a boat of your own?"

"Yeah," Ren said, "That's why we came here to make our presence known and maybe get some advice on how to live the boater lifestyle."

"Well, I could come with you," The brown haired socialite said, "I apologize for my friends. They're not used to people of your economic class coming aboard their yacht. But, if you show me your boat I can return here and put a good word in for you and your friends."

"We'd like that very much," Ann smiled, "Thank you."

"Let me just call our friends so they know that you're coming," Ren said as he took his phone out from his pocket

(BGM: 'Summer Breeze' by Seals and Crofts)

While Ren and Ann were at the boat mixer, the other 13 members of the group took Yuuki's houseboat out to the ocean to have a little party of their own complete with music and good food.

On deck, we see the likes of Yusuke, Haru, and Yuuki fishing. As the three of them fish, they take their catches up to Makoto, who is cooking them on a grill, while Morgana watches. Elsewhere on deck, Ryuji is seen fiddling with the scuba gear that Yuuki gave him. Daisuke brought a hammock on board and he's seen laying on it and cuddling with Shiho. Hifumi is seen relaxing in a chair while Hayato lovingly rubs her feet. Sumire and Ichiro are seen slow dancing to the music playing on Hifumi's phone, which is now hooked up to some small speakers. Not far from the gymnast couple, the inflatable tube man was turned back on and is now blowing in the breeze as Futaba mimics its 'dance moves'.

"Ah, this is the life, isn't it?" Daisuke asked as he continued cuddling with Shiho, who was playing with his hair.

"You said it," Hifumi said as she smiled at Hayato and his foot massage.

"Your feet are truly magnificent, my love," Hayato said.

"You are so weird," Ryuji said as he took a glance at the scarlet haired man.

Meanwhile, Sumire and Ichiro continued to dance and sway to the beat of the music.

"Now this is boat music," Ichiro said, "So relaxing."

"I could stay in your embrace and dance with you forever, Ichi," Sumire swooned.

"Back at you, babe," Ichiro smiled.

"For the record, I don't regret getting this thing in the slightest," Futaba said in regards to the inflatable tube man, which she's still dancing next to, copying its moves, "I'm learning some amazing moves from this thing."

"Yeah, you're looking good, Futaba," Yuuki smiled.

As that was going on, Makoto had just finished cooking up some shrimp kabobs.

"Anyone want anymore shrimp?" Makoto asked.

"Oh, definitely get me another one of those, babe," Ryuji said, "They're delicious!"

"That's because I cook it with love, babe," Makoto smiled.

Before Ryuji could take the kabob from his girlfriend, his cell phone started ringing. He took it out of his pocket to see that it was Ren who was calling him.

"It's Ren," Ryuji exclaimed as he answered the phone, "Hello?"

"Hey Ryuji," Ren was heard saying on the other end, "Good news! Ann and I managed to get someone to come back to our boat so he can take a look at it and give us some boating advice."

"For real?" Ryuji asked, "That's great!"

"Yeah," Ren said, "We're on our way back now. We'll probably be there in about 10-15 minutes."

"Alright, cool," Ryuji said, "We'll be right there. See you in a bit."

Ryuji then hung up the phone and prepared to address the rest of the gang.

"What did Ren want?" Yusuke asked.

"Ren and Ann managed to bring someone from the party back here," Ryuji announced, much to everyone's joy.

"We'd better head back to the docks then," Haru said as she, Yuuki, and Yusuke stopped fishing.

As everyone prepared to bring the boat back to the docks, Yuuki noticed Ryuji as he continued to fuss with the scuba equipment.

"Everything alright with the scuba gear I bought you?" Yuuki asked.

"I think this stuff is busted," Ryuji said.

"Hey, we don't need it anymore now that we found the keys," Yuuki said.

"Yeah," Ryuji said, "I'm going to toss this piece of crap into the boat for now."

Ryuji then threw the scuba equipment through the window that leads to the inside of the boat…but when he did, he hit the same electrical outlet that Hifumi hit earlier, causing sparks to fly once again. But this time, the sparks lasted much longer, starting a fire!

"Uh oh!" Yuuki said as he saw the fire slowly growing.

"Oh, that's not good," Ryuji replied as he addressed everyone on deck, "Hey, guys, uh…don't panic when I ask this, but what do you do if the boat is on fire?"

"What do you mean?" Makoto asked.

"'Cause the boat is on fire," Ryuji said, bluntly.

"What?!" Everyone exclaimed.

"How?!" Makoto asked

"When I threw the scuba equipment into the boat, it hit this electrical outlet causing sparks to fly," Ryuji explained as Yuuki continued to watch the fire grow inside of the boat.

"Guys, we gotta do something," Yuuki panicked, "The fire's getting bigger!"

"We gotta get out of here!" Shiho exclaimed.

"Damn it, Ryuji!" Morgana yelled.

"Go!" Hifumi shouted, "Bail!"

"Holy shit!" Futaba exclaimed as she took a peek at the growing fire inside the boat.

"We gotta find some water," Ryuji said.

"What do you mean find some water?" Sumire asked.

"There's water everywhere!" Ichiro chimed in.

"Water won't do us any good in an electrical fire, Ryuji!" Makoto yelled, "This ship is going down!"

"We gotta save the tube man!" Futaba said as she tried to get the inflatable tube man, only to be stopped by Yuuki.

"Forget the tube man! We need to go!" Yuuki said as he and Futaba jumped overboard.

"Swim!" Daisuke said as everyone started to follow Yuuki and Futaba's example and jump off the burning boat, "Swim for your lives! Swim to the shore!"

One by one all 13 members of the group leapt off of the boat and into the water, taking a long, cold swim back to the mainland.

(End BGM)

Meanwhile, Ren and Ann made it back to the docks where Yuuki's boat was supposed to be located, the brown haired socialite walking close to them.

"So, tell me about this boat of yours," The brown haired socialite said, "What make and model is it?"

"Well…it's…a boat," Ann said, unsure of how to answer.

"It should be right around this corner," Ren said as he led his girlfriend and the socialite to the boat…only to find an empty space and all of his friends climbing out of the water and onto the docks, soaked to the bone and gasping for air.

"What the hell?!" Ann exclaimed as she watched her friends climb onto the dock to walk past them, "What's going on?"

"Out of my way," Shiho panted.

"No more party boat," Hayato said as he tried to get water out of his ears.

"Damn, Japanese eels nipping at my heels," Makoto said, "The whole way over! Endangered my ass! There's a billion of them out there!"

Ren, Ann, and the socialite watched as most of the young adults walked off into the night, presumably to their respective homes to dry off and go to bed. Morgana came up to Ren, and he picked the cat up to hold him in his arms. Yuuki and Futaba stop at the young couple and the socialite so they can explain what happened.

"I seemed to have come at a bad time," The brown haired socialite said, "I'm gonna go."

"No, no, no, don't leave!" Ann begged, but the socialite walked away.

"Phew, that was a hell of a swim," Yuuki said.

"Futaba, Mishima, what happened to you guys?" Ren asked, "Where's the boat?"

"It's right there," Futaba said as she pointed into an inferno in the distance. Ren and Ann looked as they saw the boat, along with the inflatable tube man, burning and slowly sinking into the water.

"Well, I guess that's it then," Ren said disappointed.

"This day was a huge loss," Futaba said.

"Mmm-hmm," Yuuki nodded his head in agreement.

The four young adults and one cat just watched as the boat continued to sink and the inflatable tube man caught on fire until both were completely submerged into the water.
