Chapter 22: Just Some Tour Guide
End of semester was near and the news has got out to the entire world that Minato the forth Hokage is back from the dead. Both village hidden in the cloud & stone were on the edge after hearing this news. Mist was still under a civil war where Captain Yamato was leading an anbu team to assist the rebellion and village hidden in the sand were the first one to have gotten the news as they were allies & Kazekage was about to have a meeting with Minato about various topics regarding their current situation.
Minato was going to travel to the land of wind to meet with the village hidden in the sand's daimyo and Rasa the forth Kazekage. Minato was going to act as a moderator between Rasa & his village's daimyo so that they could come to an agreement and both the villages relation won't break due to this problem.
Rasa was going to bring his eldest daughter Temari to this meeting and Minato would also have to bring his eldest son Naruto to show that it is not some plot to take over their village as the presence of children would show that no fighting would take place in front of them.
Kushina was not happy that her son has to go with Minato outside the village to meet the Kazekage for a week and he can't even teleport to the location as term the agreement because of security reasons. With Minato's assurance that as soon as things go bad he will teleport him to the her and Kakashi would be with him all the time Kushina agreed with a warning that to beware of Zetsu lurking around him.
Naruto was not happy to go out of the village without Sasuke as he has always been with him. He worried that he might get bored all the way. His family personally came to say goodbye to him on the gate and with crying & hugging Kushina they began their journey towards the land of wind.
During their route at first they were going to walk but with Naruto confirmation that he could go faster by jumping on the tree like any other ninja they all started to go faster. Minato didn't let Naruto go away more than 2 meters and they were surrounded by a team of anbu lead by Kakashi. Naruto was not as fast as they all were but still enough for his age. After 5 hours of travel Naruto finally exhausted himself as he has never travel like this. They took a half an hour break and then began the journey with Naruto on Minato's back because they wanted to reach their destination under 2 days.
Naruto fell asleep half way through and when he woke up he was in a tent besides Minato. He woke up silently and checked his bag searching something to eat as he was hungry.
Minato: You hungry?
Naruto made a surprise face like he caught doing something that he shouldn't.
Minato: We have soup. It still might be warm.
Naruto ate the soup and went back to sleep. The next day Naruto traveled on Minato's back on his request because for some reason that Naruto didn't know he liked it. Minato also liked to give piggy back rides as he never got to give him on when he was a 2-3 years old and this was perfect as soon he would grow up to be too old for this. This was his quality time with his son which he rarely gets to do as Shoko & Shogo are always up for it anytime.
They reached their destination after 12 pm and were greeted by various nobles whom of Naruto was scared and wanted stay away as they get angry very quickly. When the father, son and student walk on the road towards the hotel in which they were going to stay all the females eyed them hungrily as they wanted to devour them.
Naruto: Papa, they are scarring me (about to cry).
Minato: Don't worry, just stay close to me (regretting for not bringing Kushina along).
Naruto grabbed his father's pants and tried to hide behind the robes.
As they reached their room in all 3 of them were staying they quickly fall on the bed with exhaustion while Kakashi was searching the room for any threats. Naruto was not a fan of the land of wind as the desert could be quite rough for kids. All he wanted to do during his visit is to stay inside his room as there is nothing to learn at the wind daimyo's court.
There was knock heard from there door and there stood the Rasa with his daughter and Baki his guard.
Rasa: It is nice to meet you again Minato. Meet my eldest child Temari.
Temari said her greeting in the traditional manner.
Minato: You have a wonderful & well-mannered daughter old friend. Meet my eldest child Naruto.
Naruto also greeted in the traditional manner.
Rasa: I am impressed; your son is well behaved as compared to both of my sons. Hope the journey wasn't rough on your child.
Minato: Hah, he traveled most of the way on my back so you can say desert is not for him.
Naruto blushed while Temari thought why his hair looks so good.
Rasa: Desert did this to you to when you came here remember.
Minato: Oh yeah, that was first mission where I met you during the war against Stone.
Rasa: Well we have intruded your resting time enough so we will meet you tomorrow at the breakfast.
Minato: Sounds good to me.
With that Kazekage and his daughter left.
Naruto: Papa, he seems nice friend of yours then why did you bring me?
Minato: Naruto, he is a nice friend of mine but the people in his village are not. Sometimes my friend has to take decision that he doesn't want to and the person I don't really trust here are the nobles.
Naruto: Because they are cunning.
Minato: Yes.
Kakashi: Naruto, do you want to be Hokage?
Naruto: No but Shogo wanted to.
Kakashi: So why are interested in knowing all this?
Naruto: Because I want to travel the whole world.
Kakashi: Like Lord Jiraiya.
Minato: Kakashi don't put things in his head or you will have to answer to my wife (whisper).
Naruto: Does he travel to?
Kakashi: Naruto forget anything I said and don't repeat this to your mother.
After that in the evening Naruto got to learn some fuinjutsu from his father for the first time while Kakashi stand guard.
Minato was impressed by Naruto on how far he has come in learning fuinjutsu all alone in short amount of time. He only could teach some space time Ninjutsu which he was having trouble grasping the concept and want to learn how to place a seal with a mere touch like he use on his enemy with flying thunder god's formula. Minato was happy to teach him and he couldn't refuse as it was the first thing that he has ever asked him to teach. Kakashi meanwhile thought that Minato sensei and Lady Kushina sure are helicopter parents.
They ate dinner in their room and went to sleep immediately. The next morning they got ready for the breakfast early. Baki came to show them the way to the breakfast table where they all meet wearing traditional Japanese clothes. They greeted again and have the breakfast together.
Minato: So how is Karura?
Rasa: After giving birth to my youngest child Gaara, she was in a bad health. It was a blessing that Tsunade was in our village for gambling, her apprentice Shizune saved her life.
Minato: Yeah she told me what happen.
Rasa: You tell me how is your family?
Minato: They are fine, we have a second pair of twins now and ever since I have been back in the village it has been wonderful.
Rasa: I thought you were going to say, "It is horrible, my wife beats me up, etc."
Minato: Hahaha, Well she does beat me I vouch for that.
Rasa: Hahaha.
Both the children were silent as they don't know what how to start a conversation with other and they could only watch as their father talk so loudly.
Rasa: Temari why don't you show Naruto around the place as you know this place better than anyone.
Temari: Sure.
Naruto wanted to go back to his room and practice the things his father taught him last night but instead he was going to be walked around the place which he could not refuse as it would be disrespectful.
After breakfast Temari dragged Naruto out of there as she doesn't like politics and wanted an excuse to go away from it and Baki & Kakashi followed them from behind as their job is to keep an eye on the kids all the time.
When she pulled Naruto he was going to cry thinking that she was going to beat him up like the other blonde he knew but Naruto pushed his feeling aside and let that girl pull him he could not afford to cause a seen.
They arrive at the casino and they weren't stopped as everybody knew that they were the children of a Kage. The casino was full in the morning as majority of the humans present didn't go home last night.
Naruto: What is this place?
Temari: This is where grownups play.
Naruto: So why are we here?
Temari: Because all the other stuff around here is boring and this is the only place where someone would play with me.
Naruto didn't bother to ask her further question.
Naruto: I don't know how to play all these games?
Temari: How about that one (pointing at 777)?
Naruto: I don't know that one either.
Temari: You only have to put some coin which we buy out of money and then press a button and rest is luck.
Naruto: Sounds to me like a scam, did someone have ever wined?
Temari: I don't know, let us find out.
First was Temari asks for some money from Baki to buy some coins from the counter play games.
Kakashi: There was a time where kids used to play outside with friends (whispered to Baki).
Baki: Oh yeah, those were the days (whispered to Kakashi).
After buying some coins for herself and Naruto she went first to try her luck in 777 but lost, then it was Naruto's turn who won in his first try. All the people present there looked at them as they were the first one who have ever won on that machine.
With that beginning they tried every other game present in the casino and winning was not the word that could be used in Naruto's case, he was robbing the casino of their money legally and there was nothing that they could do to stop him. In the end the owner of the casino begged for them to leave and money he won was transferred directly to his bank account in the leaf.
They then went to a place where Temari likes to eat for lunch.
Temari: Wow that was the most fun I had ever had, I thought you didn't know how to play any games?
Naruto: I don't.
Temari: Either you have a great poker face or you are just that lucky.
They ordered their lunch and Naruto was going to pay as he earned a lot of money today which he didn't mind paying.
Baki: Is it just me or this feels like a date (whispered to Kakashi)?
Kakashi: Oh, I didn't know you swing that way (whispering)?
Baki: I am talking about the kids.
Kakashi: Hey he is lucky after all.
Baki: Damn, just what kind of luck he is born with.
After eating lunch they went to a park to relax in the swings.
Temari: Hey Naruto, did you like hanging out with me (blushing to ask the question)?
Naruto: Yes.
Temari: You know you are the first person who I have played with (letting her deeper thoughts out).
Naruto: Really, don't you have any friends?
Temari: No everyone that I know is scarred of my brother so they don't come to play with me.
Naruto: Is your brother scary looking?
Temari: Hah, no he has a demon inside him and each time his seal gets lose he causes trouble for others (watery eyes).
Naruto: So he is strong?
Temari: Very strong.
Naruto: What about you?
Temari: I am not as strong as him but I want to become the first female Kage.
Naruto: My brother wants to be a Hokage to, maybe you two will work together someday.
Temari: What do you want to do?
Naruto: I want to earn money and travel the world.
Temari: That is a nice goal.
They sit in silence for 3 minutes.
Naruto: So your brother is like a sealing scroll.
Temari: You can say that.
Naruto: I have read about a person similar to your brother in the history books. He killed many of our village's ninja in the third great shinobi war and his name is Killer B. He also has a demon inside of him and can use that demon for mass destruction. There is flee on site order in case anyone encounters him.
Temari: What are you serious?
Naruto: Yes and I think your brother is not able to control that demon inside him.
Temari: So my brother will never be okay (now crying)?
Naruto: Well there is a way, if my hunch is right then that demon also have chakra which is there source of power and the human vessel suppress that chakra with the help of seal. With a weak seal he is not able to suppress that demons chakra successfully.
Temari: What does that mean?
Naruto: He needs a new seal or there is another way (searching his pocket). There is a seal I made which being applied on skin can reduce the entire flow of chakra inside of him leaving with enough chakra to stay conscious which also means that demon can never take over him when this is applied on him.
Temari: Really?
Naruto: You can try it.
Temari called Baki to test out the seal which at first hesitant but then went along after Temari's request. After surprise of all 3 of them on the seal actually working Temari cried happy tears.
Temari: Does this will also help him sleep?
Naruto: He is not able to sleep?
Temari nodded.
Naruto: I suppose, I can't tell since I haven't checked his seal or him.
Temari then hugged him thanking him for the seal.
Baki: How long the seal will last?
Naruto: Once attach to him after that it is useless.
Temari: So we have to stick it on him and in emergency (now stopped crying).
Naruto: Wow! How is she doing this, crying at one moment and then getting serious, I am impressed!
Kakashi: How about talking to our village leaders before making any decisions.
Baki: Oh no, I completely forgot about that.
Temari took all 3 of them immediately to meet with her father to discuss on how to help Gaara with that seal.
Minato & Rasa were relieved when the wind daimyo finally agreed to the term and conditions laid in front of him which solved the problem they were having. As soon as they got out of one meeting Temari called another one.
Rasa: What is the meaning of this disrespectful behavior Temari?
Minato: A…… you shouldn't scream. We should at least listen to what these children are trying to say (he said this to calm Rasa as he saw Naruto trying really hard not to run away).
Temari then explained everything to her father and Minato agreed that they can take the seal anytime from leaf whenever they need to which Rasa gave thanks to them.
They were going to leave the next day so they decided to play cards in which each time Naruto came on top.
With goodbye and a promise to meet again in the future Temari gave a hug to Naruto and send him off.
Hokage's Mansion (After 3 days)
Kushina: Minato.
Minato: Yes.
Kushina: Naruto told me that he wants to learn from Jiraiya sensei on how to travel (evil smile).
Minato: It's not my fault (terrified).
Kushina: And I checked his account and there was a lot of money, he told me that he went to a casino.
Minato: I was in meeting; he was under Kakashi's supervision.
Kushina: He is your student isn't he?
Minato: I'll chain him up and bring him to your knees.
Somewhere in the leaf a cold shiver went down Kakashi's spine.
Kakashi: Why do I feel betrayed?
