Return Of The Marauders I: The Prisoner Of Azkaban

Characters: Harry Potter, Ginny Weasley, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Neville Longbottom, Fred Weasley, George Weasley, Percy Weasley Remus Lupin, Severus Snape, Albus Dumbledore, Minerva McGonagall and Rubeus Hagrid.

Timeline: After meeting up with Fudge at the Leaky Cauldron.

Synopsis: Upon learning that Sirius has escaped, Harry decides to get the truth, as he prepares for a fresh start, before bringing together the Family he always wanted, as he reunites with his missing godfather and uncle, as he alters the truth now to them. To save Sirius, and free him, while at the same time, arresting the traitor that really turned his family in.

Warnings: This story is the prequel to my Return Of The Marauders series, as he reveals the truth, to the authorities, the last two years. And this will be the road not taken, as harry starts courting Ginny from the start of the year. As from here, he plots to bring Dumbledore's true demeanor to the fore.

Chapter 4: Horcrux Hunting And The Chamber

"So not just my parents, he killed my sister, this…, this is too much, not only was my life destroyed by a prophecy, I'm not an only child, I had a sister." I said shaking in grief then and they nodded, as David squeezed my shoulder. "Yeah again, tell everyone not to ask questions, he's in very fragile state right now, baby listen to me. I know you want to go do it yourself, but getting yourself killed won't bring them back, justice." the doctor said sternly and I nodded.

"Agreed, baby I know you want to arrest him now, but doing that'll put everyone at risk, you know it wasn't me, but Remus and I are all the family you have left. In the paternal side, the Kesslers, Severus, Dan and your aunt and uncle, in the maternal. We'll avenge them, by destroying every single one." Sirius said and I nodded as I hugged him tightly. "You're my only family, before I start the next generation of my family name." I said, looking between them.

"Rather then staying up there this Christmas, we're coming home, and we can alert you to the fact we had him, and a fight broke out. Because she's suffering Stockholm syndrome, Ron hero worship for that old fool." Remus said and as Scrimgeour created a copy for my glasses, and he took them, and he drank it then quickly as he changed into my appearance. "Talk about being in two places at once." David said and I nodded and Alex chuckled and nodded smiling then.

"I need to start reading that newspaper." Vernon said smiling, and I knew he was happy, I took his opinion, in knowing what the old fool was. "Based on said rant, that's paraphrase for what Owen said to Obi-wan, and what he told Luke, after Anakin crashed?" I said and they nodded then. "That's it exactly, we see him, the way Owen saw Obi-wan, you're Luke, and Lilly was Anakin, we can't lose you and we won't." he said for all of them and I nodded as I hugged him.

"I forgive you, you wanted me to live up to my real heritage, we're Ancient born, rather then being a wizard." I said and they nodded. "Once I get the map, the bomb is being dropped, and everyone is hearing the truth, as they see me, playing this back mentally to them." I said and they nodded, smiling then, as we separated on that, as he left first, as me with Remus at his side, and Mood, Crouch and I headed for his house then, as we apparated to to his block.

As, focusing on his address, it opened and I smiled, and walked in. "Kreacher, you here?" I asked and an elf appeared before me. "Yes half master?" he asked and I nodded. "You can call me Master Harry, Kreacher, but do you have anything dark in your possession. A relic, that carries Reg's ex master's soul." I asked and he froze. "Indeed Kreacher does, why does half Master ask?" he asked and I smiled. "I'm finishing what he started." I said and he smiled.

In delighted relief. "Very well, take Master Regulus's belonging's and cleanse it." he said and went to get it, and passed it to me, as I gave a hiss, and got a response then. "Yeah it's a horcrux." I said and Crouch smiled. "Master Harry, there is one inside Mistress Bellatrix's vault." Kreacher said and I smiled. "Thank you Kreacher, you just rest, because Sirius is coming home, he's needing good food and nourishment, till he heads for Hogwarts." I said and he nodded.

"Kreacher will take good care of Master Sirius, Kreacher promise." he said and we nodded as we headed for the bank next. "Hello Ricbert, listen could you take me to Mistress Lestrange's vault, we found the second horcrux, it's in there." Crouch said and the leader nodded sharply. "Griphook, take Master Potter to vault 711, emergency inspection, it's been ordered by Master Black himself." he said and Griphook nodded and we went over there, to check on it then.

"Lord, you people are desperate, to bring him back aren't you, well too late, once we do these two, that's 3 down and two to go, as we check the school next." Scrimgeour said and I nodded. "Well after knowing he possibly drugged me, what are the most likely potions, he would used to keep me under his thumb?" I asked and he nodded. "Loyalty, compulsion and love for another girl." he said and I nodded. "Well I'm taking your position, Professor." I said and he nodded.

"This is why I never take anything given to me, but bring my own, or keep my glass close to me, and take it around with me." he said and I nodded. "We call that date rape in my world, but trust me, if someone you been dating this long wants to go all the way. They decide if you keep saying no, to drug you, but this is illegal in my world." I said and they nodded. "I take this Carter never listened for something, and got it, when off world." Scrimgeour said to me then.

"She didn't, but her double did right now, trying to prove Daniel, my adult double, he's borderline 34 years old, was crazy after he humiliated the heck out of them. Tried to set him up, and it backfired, because the deal is worth 135,750,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 galleons now." I said and they nodded in shock. "I know some wizards that would kill for that number right now." Crouch said and I nodded as I answered him, knowing they wouldn't like this.

"Yeah and his father was the general of said base this woman, her team and her double Colonel Jack O'neill worked at, General George Hammond. He is Jackson's father and former boss, the USA brass, but these men were jealous, because Daniel withstood Hathor, where they didn't." I said and they nodded. "Yes, and whatever George said I think that too, it's not Danny's fault, they never pay attention in history class." he said and I nodded smiling gently to that opinion.

"They're jocks with no true interest in anything outside military technology, Daniel was following the entire trio, and then learned, after his version of his parents accident. That Carter heself, knew where his ex wife was, and never told him, which destroyed him. One team mate suffering a version to Dumbledoredore's mental state, the other, keeping secrets from him. The only one he could trust was Teal'C Martell." I said and they nodded, sternly in disgust at that reveal.

"I can see where you're going to be my star pupil now, you knew better, but you keep this up, you're graduating a year early, son." Scrimgeour said smiling and I smiled then. "Well I had enough adventure, a chance to be normal for once, a year off, book 3. The Prisoner Of Azkaban, only the Prisoner is Peter Pettigrew, not Sirius." I said and they nodded. "I hoped these aren't jinxed, with gemino or anything else, because the influx is going to fill the room up."

"There's two that are highly dangerous, Gemino and Flagrante, which is the burning curse, so careful baby." he said and I nodded, as we reached Sirius's vault to check. "Yeesh, I see why you said he's the richest family of our stature right now, okay let's see here. You got an image of Helga's cup?" I asked and he passed me it, and I scanned the room, before hearing hissing coming from the easel 20 feet above us and smiled. "There!" I said and they smiled in relief.

"Perfect, that's two more." he said and I nodded. "Alright Griphook, they're all your's, that's currently 1,500 galleons, the 300 is for returning them. To their owner's now, finally, in perfect condition." I said and he nodded smiling, and took them both. "Then it's being 900 for the third, if Ravenclaw's diadem is also inflicted." he said and I nodded. "Yep, that's 4 down and 1 to go, the snake and the ring, but just maybe the ring to, it belongs to his maternal grandfather."

"So found them all, and just me left, and done, only we're doing that next round." I said and they nodded smiling. "So get the first 3, Malfoy passes us the diary, and we got you, and then kill the others, one by goblin, the other by sword." Moody said and I nodded. "Yeah this game is over, we got 3 down and 2 left, me and diadem." I said and they nodded. "My training just started, but I better show you that snake now." I said and they nodded gently then to me.

As we headed there next, and arrived at the school. "Well Potter, why are you here so soon?" the caretaker, Mr. Argus Filch asked me. "I'm taking them to see the snake, want to come?" I asked and he nodded. "Very well." he said and they followed me to the bathroom. "I never saw that coming, he chose the one spot, a wizard would never think to check. The girl's bathroom, alright so which tap was it." he said and I tapped it then. "Open." I said sternly, and it did it.

"Stairs!" I said and stairs appeared, as I lead them down there. "Dear god, this is like entering Pennywise's lair, on the movie." A member of Amos's department said and I nodded then. "You muggleborn, if you think that, Sir?" I asked and he chuckled. "Yeah, my name David Baker, my kids are your dorm: Gryffindor, Billy and Sarah Baker, Sarah's no older then Cho Chang. Her brother, is Percy's age." he said and I nodded smiling, knowing I found a fellow muggleborn.

"Yeah, but yeah I know, a boggart is Pennywise, the snake, is Pennywise in his natural form." I said and he nodded in agreement. "Point taken, muggleborn horror conversation, if the writer of that book, is a horror author." Crouch said and we nodded. "What the, I thought you killed it!" he said, and I turned. "I did, that's its skin, shed one skin for another now." I said and they sighed in relief then. "Sixty feet, fully grown." he said to that in analysis in relief at that news.

"Yeah Potter, slayer of the Snake queen, the male version grow up up 90ft long." Rita said smiling and I nodded. "What happened down here exactly?" Crouch asked and I explained that. "Lockhart lost his mind and tried the Obliviate, on me and Ron, but the wand backfired." I said and he nodded. "Let me guess, the crash into the willow did that?" she asked and I nodded as I opened the second door, and we climbed down the ladder, and I moved to the snake then.

Arrival At School-Snape's POV:

Arriving at the castle, I decided to get started on the lesson plan for the third years, which was Potter's class, and they were some of the most accident prone students I ever had. None more than Seamus Finnegan, who was constantly blowing things up, and remembering it. Said the argument, I heard from Dumbledore and Minerva, between them and Fudge. Potter's news report created quite the stir now, as I normally never heard him sound like this right now.

Our civility with each other, was based on a student/teacher relationship, our relationship I knew he was right, at first. In truth, I couldn't see passed his appearance, seeing his father every time I looked at him. As I couldn't look him in the eyes, seeing Lilly's eyes, her father's, copied into his face, and with them. Was his personality, his personality was the Evans's, in every way possible, that I missed her, Mallory and Harold, with everything in me at the time.

Walking passed Myrtle's door, I saw the chamber open and froze. "Potter, what are you doing here young man, you're supposed to be at the Leaky Cauldron right now?" I said, as I quickly walked to the passage and went down the stairs, seeing a ton of mouse and spider corpses. I headed down the passage, and arrived at the second door, found that too, was open and smiled. And as I went down the ladder and hid in the shadows then, as I listened to their conversation.

"Yeah there's blood all over the floor, you take it to your bicep!" she said in shock and Potter nodded to her. "It struck the artery." he said and I nodded in shock to that. "Then you're lucky to be alive right now." the editor said and I nodded. "This snake is worth 17.775 septillion." The goblin said and I nodded in shock. "Divided by 12= 17,750,000,000,000,000,000,000." I whispered, before hearing Potter label the number then to that as well then and they nodded.

"Argus, you get your share of that." Potter said and he nodded smiling at the news as I smiled at that, Filch deserved some compensation for said 8 months of loneliness last year. "Thank you Potter, and I understand now, you carry his powers, but it wasn't you, it was never you. You been guarding it, from inside the bathroom, after she and Creevey were attacked." he said and I nodded as I heard it, as this said it all, the report was not just getting publicity now in truth.

He turned on the headmaster and Minerva, my Gryffindor counterpart, after year one. "Yes that was my intention, but McGonagall and Dumbledore did irreparable damage to our relationship. I'm MOM now, but the story was reversed, Argus, it's Peter, he's alive." Potter said and I froze up. 'So it's true, every word, Pettigrew is alive right now.' I thought and he nodded, as he said my thoughts out loud. "Lock up, and we're holding him hostage." he said and I nodded sternly.

"Peter's an animagus, remember the map, Wormtail, it's so simple." Potter said and I nodded. 'Wormtail, their nicknames name their animals, Wormtail is a rat, somebody's pet rat…, no, no it can't be, the Gryffindor's have only one rat, that rat belongs to the Weasleys.' I thought sternly, praying I was wrong, and now realizing Dumbledore's attempt at controlling Potter. Through the Weasleys just backfired on him, in the worst way possible, because it just got him in trouble.

And Potter knew that, he wanted him in trouble, turn him into a lunatic now and Argus crossed his arms. "He's a rat, someone's pet rat, and been hiding under the headmaster's nose, all this time, very well, so you never got your form signed. And Lupin ordered you to stay on campus, so we fake this till whoever stole it hack give it to you, I understand. Lupin came back, and you're reunited now, father wolf and cub, okay got it." he said and Potter nodded gently to him.

"Sirius is innocent, in fact, I just reversed it, remember how dad saved Severus?" he asked and he nodded. "Peter hexed him with the imperio, if not for dad, Severus would be dead, Peter showed he was capable of murder from the time he was 15. But Peter killed the muggles, and framed Sirius." Potter said and he nodded sternly. 'So that's what happened, Black, Lupin and Potter never had a hand in it, it was all Pettigrew.' I thought sternly, realizing what happened.

"Yes we got a killer on the loose, but not the one everyone thought, well you got me on your side now, the twins?" he asked and he nodded then. 'Typical, the twins had it, they idolize Potter and his friends, only they don't realize Harry cracked the code, revealed their names. Well what was once used for mischief, has now been used for adventures right now in truth. Only this year we get a year off, but I need it, before he gives me a coronary.' I thought, hiding a smile then.

"They been protecting me all this time, Percy with them." He said and he nodded sternly. 'Figures, Percival's been protecting him all this time, so advise on electives, truth about the village, and now a gentle talk over this. So Harry's closest to Ronald's oldest brothers, with Ronald being jealous.' I thought gently to that as I knew it then, why he said don't give Pettigrew a reason to go human, or he's going to go down fighting with us teachers then.

"Try it, going human in the dorms, we know this, we all do, and he's not getting out of here alive, I promise you that." he said and I nodded. 'No kidding here, go human, it's going to be a blood bath, alright Potter, who besides me, Argus and the school. Because that much is going to give their parents a coronary, in you're being this generous. And with the level amount that carcass is worth right now.' I thought sternly to that news, as I waited to hear the number.

"Number 11 is split between Remus and Hagrid, Severus gets his share, the school, the girls, Justin, Colin and Ron, me of course, Myrtle's family is 12, keep the carcass, leave me the fangs." I said and Griphook nodded, smiling sternly then. "Just leave a message, to Severus, this was compensation for 7 years of ridicule, as that covers it, H.J.P., he'll get the message, he knows only one H.J.P, and I'm it." Potter said and Griphook nodded, as I revealed myself….

Truths And Conversation's Harry's POV:

"Argus, you get your share of that." I said and he nodded smiling at the news. 'Well this helps, instead of trouble, we're acting, in Dumbledore, as well behaved as possible. And as I put in training for two months, leading into the season starting, I had my personal time with Remus. with Severus, and spending two months with Ginny, as we courted leading into Christmas now.' I thought smiling in relief, a perfectly normal year, new classes, same friends now here.

"Thank you Potter, and I understand now, you carry his powers, but it wasn't you, it was never you. You been guarding it, from inside the bathroom, after she and Creevey were attacked." he said and I nodded. "Yes that was my intention, but McGonagall and Dumbledore did irreparable damage to our relationship. I'm MOM now, but the story was reversed, Argus, it's Peter, he's alive." I said and he nodded sternly, knowing Dumbledore gave the order then that night.

And he was locking him in. "Lock up, and we're holding him hostage." he said and I nodded sternly, knowing Dumbledore was praying I was wrong, and he was right. That once he learned, I found them all, he was facing being skinned alive, by Amos, Aggie, Xeno. Molly and Arthur, Dan and Emma, Amelia Bone and Sarah Abbott, when we exposed Peter now. Along with my entire bomb shell, that tried to prevent it, he was being incarcerated for attempted murder then.

"Just leave a message, to Severus, this was compensation for 7 years of ridicule, as that covers it, H.J.P., he'll get the message, he knows only one H.J.P, and I'm it." I said and Griphook nodded. "Indeed, I heard that Potter, so you're giving me compensation for your father's stunts, when we were kids." I heard, smiled and turned and I saw him. "Yeah I am, but if you heard everything, Peter's alive, and Sirius broke out to arrest him." I said and he nodded sternly.

"He's not after you at all, but Pettigrew, okay, so he's on parole, well this explains why Dumbledore is arguing about this, he thinks it's still reversed. As does Minerva and Hagrid, you only told me, Argus, and the trio, okay I understand. I just became involved, I get it, so rather then the news report, what I can I expect your version to be?" he asked and I nodded as I showed him that memory then, knowing he was going to accept that knowledge and revelation.

"My legend not many understand, as I grew up without love, not a pampered prince, as some are lead to believe, Albus Dumbledore left me to a grief stricken aunt, she hates him, for taking mum away from her, leaving her to raise me herself. There's so much more to this, that you were lead to believe, so before you start hating them. My aunt, uncle and cousin, you must understand this, why she hates magic now."

"But more than just jealousy, that he took my mother and not her, what furthered it. That hatred stems from something not many know about, are you a muggleborn?" I asked and they both nodded. "Then you seen the werewolf movie An American Werewolf in London?" I asked and they nodded. "Well then, seeing a man and woman, identical to the people playing them the truth is out, asking who they are, she told me finally."

"Why she hated Dumbledore, as there was a severe rant on Dumbledore, she blamed dad, but Vernon called Dumbledore a crackpot old fool. And with it here, was determined to not let me go, based on that, it says this. After losing mum, they never wanted to lose me, they're abusive, because they're scared out of their minds. That they'll lose me, to him or worse, Greyback, Paddy Ryan is Adam Paddy Ryan now."

"The bar leader they encountered it's on the borderline, between England and Scotland, David Kessler, David James Kessler. Is the same David Kessler, that caused the traffic accident here in London, Alex Price. His wife, is her best friend and adoptive sister." I said and they nodded. "I never saw that coming, you're adopted related, to the American Werewolf that caused that on Piccadilly Circus." she said in amazement then.

"I am, Alex is mum's adopted big sister, it's just Alex never knew I was there with Petunia, the entire 12 years. And since they, that's Dumbledore and his associates, left me on her doorstep now. But that's the other reason here she hates magic, and Dumbledore, it was 21 years ago, my adoptive Aunt's husband." I said and she nodded. "She blames Dumbledore for your parents murder, is that it?" she asked and I nodded.

"Yes, and with it, going to extremes to keep from losing me, as I now realize here, is to her, letters from Hogwarts mean one thing here. The old fool just activated my training, refusing as they never answered said correspondance. Till I get a delivery, by his go'fer himself: Rubeus Hagrid." I said and she nodded. "From there, being around his stooges, after bumping into Draco Malfoy, I was starting to be conditioned here."

"To see Slytherin as bad, Dumbledore was a god, the best house in school, was Gryffindor, till something happened that destroyed that opinion." I said and she nodded. "What might that be exactly." the editor asked me gently. "I was simply preventing Hagrid from losing his job, but the points I just gained. And from my second quidditch gam were erased, doing that, I was treated with severe scorn." I said and he nodded.

"I call that severely cruel, you were simply preventing a friend losing his job, and you lose that many points. That why just you, why not whoever ratted you out too, lost that many points with the detention." she said sternly and I nodded. "It took a near fatal encounter with Professor Quirinus Quirrell, who was a Death Eater now. To get us out of the hole, and it's the second year that their treatment of me, further crossed it."

"The line, now I never knew I was parselmouth, in the muggle world, we call it an animal whisperer, only way to calm down wild animals. Till I learn further on Salazar's reputation, after the Cat, Filch's cat, was attacked. Basing this slowly, he simply said innocent till proven guilty, and left it at that, till the dueling club. And now the entire school thinks I'm Slytherin's heir, and everyone that knew my mother's heritage."

"Said who all seem to be his stooges, barring one, or two, if you count his mother, if he and Professor Prince are related, or three, as my mother's best friend. Said is my girl member's father, her family, if we're a trio, in the maternal side. All decided, or were ordered not to speak up and after I'm attacked repeatedly. Ridiculed, and close to dropping out of school." I said then and she nodded sternly, as she wrote that down then.

"But frankly, this is and was too much, even worse, I finally discover the truth, after nearly losing my girlfriend, my bride. The man that killed my parents, he is the heir of Slytherin, but first my parents and now nearly my wife." I said, trying to control my voice then. "Realizing what the key was, after taking it to my arm, I took a fang, from the now dead basilisk, and stabbed the diary, but that did it, it's black magic now."

"Of the worst sort imaginable here, I found his weakness, the night my parents died, but I survived, my mother's charm, created enough protection. That his killing curse, hit the charm, bounced off it, and struck him instead, while tearing off a 6th piece. And of his soul and placing it inside me, which further enhanced my animal whisperer powers, I can now sense when he's close to full power and returning here, in truth."

"Learning prior to the year starting, why Hermione Granger was following me around, I learned this from her father, Daniel Granger. And said was this: her father, mum and Severus Snape are the best of Friends, had been since they were 8 years old now. With that knowledge, I now knew what he was really saying to me 'I bitterly regret Lily's death', which said this to me now, after something happened between them."

"It's just that his association with the Death Eaters that started straining things between them, as Dan was getting fed up, Dan was a muggle, mum a muggleborn, and he's a half bloood. Surrounded by purebloods, all carrying one thing in common. Till something was said to put them on opposite sides of the war now till someone. Now, let it out, that he was after mum and me and they went into hiding now at the time."

"Taking an educated guess, if Severus loved mum that much, it was him, he put us into hiding now, but now the truth got worse. Because you had the story reversed, it wasn't what everyone thought here." I said and the editor sat down on the desk. "What do you mean exactly Harry, if your memories just came back?" She asked and I nodded. "I'm saying the rat was a literal rat, dad was an animagus, as are Peter and Sirius."

"But it's time, when they chose animals, dad, nor Sirius and Remus, never knew that he would become just as his animal said, his stinkin' hide mattered more. Then my entire family, mum was pregnant with my sister." I said sadly and she nodded. "So Peter murdered your sister, in turning your family in, that it?" she asked and I nodded. "That's it exactly, it's reversed, it always was: Sirius in Peter's place, Peter's: in Sirius's."

"Dad suspected Peter was the traitor, told Sirius, and then said, after he tried to kill Severus, in 1975, that he would try this, and told Sirius, that if he turned us in. With mum that far in her pregnancy, to turn him in, and raise me himself now. If the other options, were not an option." I said and they nodded, as the editor crossed his arms. "But with no one trusting anyone, they couldn't tell Remus, as a result of Dumbledore."

"Remus, is Remus Lupin, a supposed known wolf, but feeling he owned Dumbledore something for allowing him to start school with his affliction, dad, nor Sirius. Could trust him to know they switched at the last minute, because they knew. Behind that grandfatherly complex he tries to use to get us to toe the line, go with what he wants. But there's where the story switches directions, how and why now, their origin story."

"Remus, after getting bitten was scared to make friends, afraid that once they found out they's abandon him immediately, but dad and Sirius, they didn't care. Finally getting the truth, came to a swift decision, one that resulted in said map. Carrying their nicknames, as they called themselves the Marauders, that map. It became my bloodrite, but here's where the story originated, before that map was created now."

"Back when they were kids, after learning Remus was a wolf, they decided if they can't be with him, when human, to go animal.
