(A/N: Here it is, the last chapter. Well, the epilogue anyway. No songs this time, but hey, I managed to cover them all, so points for that. So now let's wrap this baby up. I know this chapter is short, but it is only an epilogue, so let's get to it.)
Disclaimer: I own nothing.
Epilogue
When the queen's ship never returned to continue its pursuit, Riff Raff and Dr. Scott had let out sighs of relief. It seemed that the plan had worked.
Unable to switch targets from the ship to the escape shuttle fast enough before the warp drive kicked in, the queen's ship had followed the target it had locked onto. And with Ruff Raff having set its coordinates to flying directly into the Transylvanian sun, the queen's ship had flown into the giant ball of burning gas, putting an end to her and the tyrannical Furter dynasty once and for all.
After setting new coordinates, the shuttle they were in had launched into lightspeed, and a few minutes later, it was entering Earth's atmosphere. Since they wanted to avoid being seen, Riff Raff had activated the shuttle's cloaking device, and the shuttle disappeared from sight as it projected its surrounding on its outside, appearing as little more than a blur in the sky.
From there, it made its way towards Janet's hometown, and settled down on the roof of the hospital closest to where Janet lived. The landing was smooth, and the ship powered down, its cloaking device deactivating, and the doors opened, allowing the passengers to step out.
Magenta and Riff Raff exited first, followed by Dr. Scott and an exhausted looking Janet. In her arms, wrapped in a torn portion of her Transylvanian attire, she held her newborn son.
Riff Raff turned to the two earthlings, giving them an apologetic look. "I'm afraid this is the best we could do. We do not wish to be seen by anyone."
Dr. Scott nodded as he looked around the roof. "That's ok, this is fine. Just let me check something…" He walked over to the door to the roof and checked to see if it was locked. When it opened for him without issue, he smiled and turned back to the others. "Yes, this is fine. We'll be able to head inside and tell the doctors that Janet gave birth at a costume party and we came here right afterwards."
"I do feel fine though," Janet replied honestly. "As painful as it was, I think it was worth it for such a quick birth."
She looked down at the bundle in her arms. The baby looked up at her with her eyes. Despite having just been born, he had an all-over tan and was more muscular than a newborn should be. That didn't bother her in the least though as she stroked his blonde peach fuzz of hair, running her finger down his cheek. The baby gurgled and grasped her finger, making her smile.
"If the three of you will be fine from here," said Magenta, "then by brother and I will take our leave."
"Yes," Riff Raff agreed. "Come, sister, we have a new home to look for."
Both Janet and Dr. Scott exchanged a look as the siblings got back into the ship. "Where will you go?" the scientist asked.
This time it was Magenta and Riff Raff's turn to exchange a look. "We don't know," the latter replied.
"There are many more worlds out there," Magenta told them. "I'm sure we will find one we will like."
Janet hesitated. While she may not have been able to call either of them her friends before her abduction, after everything they had been through, she thought that she could say that they were now, even though Magenta had been the one to involve them in all this craziness.
"You know, you could just stay here on Earth," she suggested. "We could even help you to get settled."
Dr. Scott nodded. "I could even pull a few strings with some people I know to get you fake IDs and such."
Magenta gave them a grateful smile. "We appreciate the offer, but I think it's best if we move on elsewhere."
"Yes," Riff Raff agreed as the two of them got back inside the shuttle. "A new chapter in our lives. One with no more monarchy."
"Come, brother," Magenta declared, taking his hand in hers, "let's do the time warp again!"
Riff Raff cheered, raising both their hands into the air as the shuttle's doors closed. It powered back on and rose into the air, its cloaking device activating once more, making it look nearly invisible. Dr. Scott, Janet, and her son were left alone on the roof as they watched the nearly invisible shuttle fly off into the sky until it disappeared from sight. For having just lost their entire planet and race not too long ago, Magenta and Riff Raff didn't seem too beat up over it any longer.
"Well, there they go," Dr. Scott said to no one in particular.
"You think they'll be ok?" Janet asked.
"I'm sure they'll be fine," Frank said next to her. "Those two are rather resourceful."
Both Janet and Dr. Scott nodded in response. It took a few seconds to sink in, but then Frank's presence suddenly registered to them, and they cried out in surprise, jumping away from the Transylvanian prince.
Smirking, Frank turned to them. "Oh my, did I startle you?"
The two earthlings stared. Indeed, Frank-N-Furter was standing right next to them, or rather, floating right next to them. Only there was a major difference about him, and it wasn't that his mold and rot were gone. He was completely transparent, his feet hovering a few inches off the ground. Frank was floating before them as a literal ghost.
"Frank! You…" Dr. Scott exclaimed, looking him up and down. "How?"
Frank looked down at himself, then back at the two of them and smirked. "Amazing, isn't it? Seems that dying once already gave me some insight and experience in the whole crossing over plains and stuff. I was able to cling to this world and come back like this. Seems I've managed to avoid my eternal punishment for now." He held up his transparent hand, looking through it with interest. "It really is quite fascinating."
"But you're a…" Janet stammered as she clutched her son to her chest. "You're a…"
Frank raised an eyebrow. "Ghost? Yes, I would have thought that that was obvious. But honestly, Janet dear, with everything that you've seen these past few days, you can't really tell me that this is what surprises you the most."
His eyes drifted down to the baby in her arms, and he hovered closer to get a better look. His smile widened as he took in the newborns muscle mass, natural tan, and peach fuzz blonde hair. At the baby's rock 'n' roll gurgling, he let out a laugh.
"That's a Rocky Jr. alright," he declared. "I do hope he grows up to be as fine a specimen as his father."
"What are you doing here, Frank?" Dr. Scott demanded. "Are you haunting us?"
Frank raised an eyebrow. "Haunting you? Hardly. Why would I haunt any of you when there are so many more interesting things to explore? I simply wanted to see the fruits of your labor, Janet."
"You stay away from him!" Janet insisted as she held her son close. "Or else I'll find a priest or an exorcist or a ghostbuster or something to take care of you!"
Frank just laughed at that. "Oh, you don't have to worry about me. As I said, there are so many new things to explore with an un-life, so to speak. Perhaps I'll haunt the showers at the gym for a while. Yes, that does sound rather appealing, I could have some real fun with that."
Dr. Scott scoffed. "Even as a ghost, you're still a pervert."
It was clearly meant to be an insult, but it seemed that Frank took it as a compliment. "I prefer to think of myself as a spirit of pleasure, quite literally now, exploring new delights from planet to planet across the galaxy and even the universe itself until the day comes where I must return to my Hell hole." He appeared thoughtful for a moment and wobbled his head. "Or pleasure hole. I'm still not entirely sure how to think of it. A bit of both, perhaps."
Neither Janet nor Dr. Scott had anything to say to that. What could they possibly say? This was all too surreal.
Frank looked back at them and smiled. "Well, Janet, my dear Dr. Scott, this is goodbye. I have a whole un-life of pleasures to explore, for now I have been truly liberated!"
He rose up into the air and did a flip before flying off, his form fading from sight. Janet and Dr. Scott could only stare at where he had disappeared, wondering what kind of shenanigans Frank could get into as a ghost.
Behind them, the door to the roof opened as a hospital employee stepped outside. Taking out a cigarette, he lit it for what was clearly meant to be a smoke break, but froze when he caught sight of Janet and Dr. Scott.
"Hey," he called to them, "the two of you are not supposed to be up here. You need to leave, now."
Slowly, Janet and Dr. Scott turned to him, looking at a loss for words. The only thing Dr. Scott could think of to say as they walked past him and into the hospital was, "Keep watching the showers."
THE END
(A/N: And that brings this baby to a close. Not too bad for my first musical fic I think. It was interesting writing a sequel using dropped elements and plots from the dropped sequel. Speaking of which, those final lines were meant to be the final lines of one of the sequels, so I couldn't resist having them here. And now it seems that even in death, Frank is still up to his old tricks, only now he has even more free range, so there's no telling what he's going to get into. As for the others, Riff Raff and Magenta are off to find a new, home, Janet and Dr. Scott are safely back home, and Janet now has a new son to occupy her time. Looks like they all have new lives ahead of them, figuratively in Frank's case. With that, I bring this story to a close. But I will be announcing my next fic right now. It's going to be a, surprising, three-way crossover, involving The Owl House, Amphibia, and Gravity Falls. So, yeah, that's going to be interesting. Look for it in two weeks if you're interested, and don't forget to leave your thoughts on this story. Later.)
