Maya Ibuki's Apartment

Evening

As Shinji finished unpacking his items, a pleasant aroma entered his nose. A scent of garlic, tomatoes, and pasta danced around him.

Setting down the last item, he stepped out of the room and took a sniff of the air. It smelled amazing…

"Ms Maya?..."

Without a moment's delay, Maya responded, calling out from down the hall.

"I'm in the kitchen! I just finished making dinner! Come and grab a bite!"

Shinji slowly took steps down the hall, getting closer and closer to the wonderful smelling food.

Turning the corner into the kitchen, he was a set of three plates, with one being rather small.

Each plate had a dish of Chicken Parmesan with a side of garlic bread for the two large ones.

Maya sat at the table, waiting patiently for Shinji with a smile on her face. Bipbo sat on the table in front of the small plate, which was now obvious it was for him.

Taking a seat in the only open spot, he gave a quick thanks, before waiting for Maya to begin eating.

And to his surprise, she was already munching down on her food without a second thought…

Shinji didn't pay too much attention to it, as it was her home that she so graciously allowed him to stay in.

He began digging in.

The flavorful meal tantalized his tongue and mind. It was wonderful, and it's only been a few bites!

He took more and more bites, savoring each bite with bliss.

While it would raise the word count to continue this scene, I believe the reader has had enough of this.

Shinji finished his meal, satisfied and full. He hadn't had a meal this good in forever. He now wondered what other dishes his sister could make.

The Ferret laid on its back and hands on stomach, also satisfied with his own meal.

Maya sighed a happy sigh as she shared a similar pose as her pet.

Taking in the sight of the two, Shinji chuckled lightly. He felt like this would be a nice place for him to stay.

But he couldn't help wondering how Misato felt…

Misato's Apartment

"AAAAAAAAAAHWAAADGBDKAKFROWAAAAAAAAAA"

*SOBBING NOISE*

*CRYING SOUNDS*

"WILL YOU KEEP IT DOWN!?"

"SHUT UP ASUKA! I MISS SHINJI!"

…

*CRYING NOISES*

I'm gonna keep the chapters small, usually maxing around 600. This is just a silly little fic, nothing too serious!

Anyways, thank you to @ekdsc for being a fan and letting me use their Maya drawing for the new cover!
