Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, this one about Warhammer. Enjoy the 2000-word chapter. I do not own Warhammer, Gameshop does.

Caius hummed as the next Banshee crashed into the ground, exploding as it did so. Something about the cold made the battle easier to deal with… The enemies were falling faster and faster under the Sons of Horus.

Most of the battle was quickly divided… The space around the Vengeful was easily defended and the sons used the banks of snow for combat.

Horus managed the battle from the command deck of Vengeful, the massive battleship already starting to rise from the snow like a dragon from their cave.

"Their front line has collapsed, continue to push their flank!" Caius ordered, executing one of the Elites.

However, he had zero idea as to how their names worked or that elite was what they were called. He hummed and looked over the dozens of dead bodies.

Whoever had sent soldiers against them? They had no strategy besides simple siege tactics… A plan which he had to think of it all… Something with the rest of the army had been odder and odder for now.

Caius hummed, tiring himself as he looked around with interest… More soldiers had come and he had brought of each move they made.

To him? The Xenos were trash to dispose of, enemies to be slain. So? In the name of Horus? Caius rallied more of the army into their famous spear like push tactic.

When they had fought Xenos? There was a lot of planning that lent itself to handling it… To him? To Caius? They had to fight off the enemy? They did something to fight them all at the time being.

It was amusing at the time being, he had been eager to fight now for a good reason.

Still? If they struck at him? He would strike back. He had a lot more motives at the time being at the time being.

Caius tossed one of the elites to the side, plucking his knife from their chest and rallying the men towards striking them once more.

Caius hummed, tired of the idea for now. He was all too interested in it all before he had managed to relax.

(With Horus)

Horus hummed as the gun batteries laid waste to the two cruisers above him, sending their shattered bulk back down to the cold planet below.

He was confused, thrown off at the time being… Something about it all had been odd for now.

The battle was won in a few minutes, the strike against them was wild, uncoordinated, and sloppy…. Most of his group was all too interested in combat.

Something about it ALL was odd now, something which was harder to think of. He knew more and more the others were tired, and thrown off at the end.

Horus knew most of the legion was alive, he did not see any bodies of his army on the snow… The Sons of Horus had gone to this planet at the time being.

Still? They had work to do, it seemed parts of his resources were alive… His army survived but his army needed him to lead them.

The Vengeful was secure… So? It was time he took stock of the situation.

"Respond." Caius heard as the captains of his army began to speak up.

"The Xenos are broken and in full retreat, Warmaster," Caius stated, curious words seeping from his words.

Caius hummed to himself…. He did not want Horus to mistake his interest for weakness. They endured; the entire Imperium had not broken them… These Xenos would not break him at all now.

Caius hummed before he looked upwards at the Vengeful. Caius crossed his arms and then thought of it all it was harder said than done.

Caius tossed the dead elite into the snow, pausing to look over their weapons and armor. Plasma weapons, they were soldiers at least given the vast scale of their numbers and equipment now.

Caius hummed as he sighed to himself before he thought of it all now… The Warmaster had answers and it was clear their proud army was not broken as he smirked to himself as he relaxed once more, something that he had been too interested in it all.

'What is his ultimate plan? What are we doing here now and for good ground.' Caius hummed to himself before he sighed.

"Return to me, my legion." Caius heard as he hummed before he thought of it all as he relaxed once more.

(With Horus)

Horus questioned this galaxy. He had not known this group of aliens but he was curious as to what their deal was, there was no history between them, no attempt to make diplomacy at the time being.

There was also the fact that the Sons of Horus were all too rounded up at the time being… Something that they had to deal with.

Horus clicked his fingers, thinking of it all before he questioned their next move at the time being. Horus had been too tired at the time being, an idea which had not manifested in a few years.

The warriors of the Sons of Horus were relaxed. They were united around him, the entire military that he had built was exhausted at the time being.

Something about this idea now was making him interested in each little idea, they had come too far… They had fought too hard to see it come this far.

He had been too much of a warrior now… Something about it all now had been harder and harder to think about.

He did not at all know what was growing on his mind, something about it all had been harder and harder now than it could have been thrown to the side.

Something in the mind had been harder and harder to deal with… But he was all too thrown off now, something that had been harder and harder with it all now and for good reason… Something that had to be done.

Still? They had a LOT more to discuss, this galaxy was odd but it seemed he could rebuild the Sons of Horus, something he intended to… Something he would not be leading the way it had to.

"Warmaster? We have not managed to capture any of the Xenos… What is the next plan? We have managed to regroup in most of the legion." Caius asked over the screens.

"We regroup… We rebuild… Return to your station, bring what men you have with you to me… Then we shall discuss plans." Horus stated as Caius hummed.

"As you command, Warmaster," Caius stated before he sighed to himself.

Something within the Warmaster was curious. They held power, something the rest of the galaxy might not, he could guess the other legions had not come here… They were lost, thrown to chaos, thrown off now by every little option.

He had betrayed the emperor; he had betrayed them all… Now? Now he believed himself banished here to atone… To ensure they persist, that they might heal.

He had failed them once; he would not fail humanity again… Most of them were eager, all too eager to die. Something within him called for the legion to regroup, for them to replace each other under his surface.

Something within him had been harder and harder to reconcile with it all now… Now? He had larger issues to deal with, for now, something within him was harder and harder to think about.

They had to act; they would act… Something about it all was interesting to him. Now? They had a LOT more to deal with now.

Still? Horus knew better, he knew more than anything that they would do, what any of them would do now… Such was life. They had to be ready for war which meant retreating from this place and finding a new one.

Several Thunderhawks sprouted from the planet, all aimed at the Vengeful hanger. All his men still caredfor him; they would die if they were asked… They would not be able to think of it at all… Not in the manner he had been familiar with…

Horus hummed, thinking of it all before now… An idea that he had to figure out now and for good reason.

All of it was harder and harder to deal with… He had been a skilled general, a skilled leader now.

Something about it all was harder to deal with for now, something about it all was harder and harder to think about now.

Caius, the other leaders within the Sons of Horus… They had a LOT more to understand, something about it all was much harder at the time.

Perhaps he could find some sort of redemption that he lacked in the other reality… Something about it all was harder and harder now, an idea that took form slowly and surely.

Caius hummed to himself before he looked to the side once more as he sighed.

Caius hummed and then closed his eyes before he looked to the side… Something about it all had been all too interesting…. He was too tired, too interested at the time being, he had to quiet himself down now… They had work to do.

Caius… He knew that lieutenant, one of his warriors from years before… A soldier that he had trained… And he had fought at the time.

The Sons of Horus were tired, very tired now, and for good reason. He turned to the rest of the group, clearing his throat as the dozens around him prepared for the next wave of ships to depart.

"We make sure we can research them… Secure bodies and weapons, we see what they are and how they fight." Caius ordered as a group nodded. "The next group? We leave, we have another 10 transports coming." Caius ordered as he sighed.

Caius questioned what Horus was doing. He was not at all interested in something that he could and would need to deal with now, something he held to be better than this.

Perhaps it was their destiny to be cast out of the galaxy. The emperor was a false leader in his mind, one he held to be different.

Still? This galaxy seemed to hold promise to him. There were no real problems, nothing about this galaxy told him of such a different path… He would fight as he always had and always would… The only difference is how they would be.

"Caius? Meet me on the bridge… We must discuss things, Captain." Caius heard as he hummed, tiring now and for good reason.

Caius nodded to the others, he questioned what his master wanted for but a moment but realized he did not want to know… Guessing only that such a problem was easier and easier to deal with.

If Horus had plans? He would follow them if these plans were done with such interest. He would help the Warmaster… There were traitors within the legion, traitors he wished to crush under his heel.

They would be found; they would be killed… Each soldier would be exterminated if they did not return to Horus.

The problem? The other half of the legion… Or at least those who served the captain traitor? They were hidden from Horus; they were powerful and dangerous.

There were traitors within the Sons of Horus… And he would kill them one by one until they were fully slaughtered… Until none of them existed.

Author Notes

Phew. Another chapter is done! A few things.

I am aware of how the Sons of Horus operate. They will regrow in the Halo galaxy.

I plan to portray Horus as just as dangerous and cunning as he is in cannon.

I plan to have Horus build his Empire here.

The next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will show more of the Sons of Horus plotting and will show Caius talking to Horus. Until the 900–6500-word chapter. Lighting Wolf out!
