Hey, everybody. Back with another chapter.
So, in this one, we'll once again see an old character, but one many of you may not remember.
Let's get to it.
us navy: Yes, they do still use aquatic warships.
the mysterious Mr.E: I'd hoped you'd like it
Irishman1996: Maybe. I'm still wrestling with whether or not to include Tenel Ka and Allana.
Starranger2: Yes, they have colonies. Any planet they occupy that does not have a home sentient species is considered a colony
Rico: I don't plan on Jaina marrying anybody in this. Partly because she actually won't show up for a long time, and when she does, well, you'll see why. And sorry, I don't plan on including any anime or Star Trek references in this. I also didn't choose the name Enterprise because of Star Trek
Anthony: Dude, I already said it's not happening. Stop asking
Chapter 8- The Search Continues
(April 30, 2049)
As the sun shines high over the city of Tel Aviv, the city is very busy. Cars and bikes, both conventional and hover vehicles, crowd the streets as the denizens of the city go about their daily business. In the last few decades, Tel Aviv has become even larger and a major hub of transportation and exports, especially with borders becoming less restrictive across the Middle East.
In one of the many busy city blocks of downtown Tel Aviv sits the Terran Alliance Intelligence Headquarters. Formerly the headquarters of the Israeli Mossad, the complex had been expanded and now also served as the Alliance's Intelligence HQ in addition to still serving as the HQ for the Mossad.
On one of the upper floors, Director Carl Bishop is reviewing an intelligence report on recent Grysk movements in Sector 6. Bishop had a long and distinguished career in the intelligence field. He had served as one of the agents assigned to Task Force X, the deep cover intelligence task force stationed on Coruscant during the Galactic Civil War to feed intelligence to the Alliance straight from Coruscant throughout the war. Since then, he had continued to serve, and was now Director of Terran Intelligence.
Bishop has been under a lot of stress during the two years he had held the job. The Terran intelligence services had been working overtime the last few years to not only develop actionable intelligence on the Grysk to aid in the Grysk War, but also to to keep the Alliance informed on the growth and movements of the First Order.
As Bishop is reading through the report, the commlink on his desk begins to beep. Bishop looks up from the report and presses the button. A moment later, an image comes up of one of the agents Bishop knows is assigned to the search for Luke Skywalker. Given that it's been 7 years since Luke's disappearance, only a few agents are still assigned to the search, and most are also assigned to other tasks as well.
"Agent Stone," Bishop greets the agent.
"Director Bishop," Stone responds.
"What do you have to report, Agent Stone?" Bishop asks.
"Director, I think we may have a lead on the location of Lor San Tekka," Agent Stone responds to Bishop.
Bishop's interest is immediately piqued. Lor San Tekka has been an interest of the Alliance for almost a year. Since Luke first disappeared in 2042, those who knew him best thought that Luke had gone looking for the first Jedi Temple built after the Jedi formed and left Tython. However, nobody else knew where this temple was located, only the name of the planet: Ahch-To. Not even Kelly knew it's location, as apparently Luke was not sure he'd locked down its location by the time he disappeared, and had not told her what he had found yet.
However, a year ago, the Alliance learned that an old friend of Luke's, a man named Lor San Tekka, had helped Luke in his search for the mysterious planet, and may have the knowledge needed to find Luke. However, San Tekka had disappeared into a quiet life not long after Luke had. Luke's sister Leia, who also knew San Tekka fairly well, had not kept tabs on him, and his current location was unknown. The Alliance and Leia's Resistance had been trying to find San Tekka for the last year, but so far without success.
"Go ahead, Agent Stone," Bishop says.
"We found a man who lives on Kinyen. He belongs to the same religious group that Lor San Tekka affirms to. The man confirms that he has spoken with San Tekka in recent years, and has seen him in person several time," Stone answers.
"Did he give us a location where San Tekka could be?" Bishop asks intently.
"Not a firm location, sir, only broad areas. He suggested the most likely area was the stretch of known space bordering the Unknown Regions that stretches from Roxuli to Batuu, with a possible secondary site in Bothan Space. He also suggested that San Tekka may be likely to settle on a planet tied either with the Jedi or with key galactic events involving the Jedi or Sith," Agent Stone responds.
"I see. Did he give you any more information that could be useful in locating San Tekka?" Bishop asks.
"Unfortunately not, sir. He said San Tekka would be less likely to be living in a city or other major settlement, but would likely prefer a smaller settlement," Stone says.
"Alright. Submit your official report, and I'll contact the Resistance," Bishop says. Stone nods, and then the transmission is cut.
Bishop turns and looks out of the window for a few moments, thinking about this new information. Then, he turns back around and activates his commlink again. His secretary comes up on the commlink a moment later.
"Yes, Director?" the man says.
"Prepare a message to send to the Resistance," Bishop says.
"Alright. Fire away, Director," the secretary says, ready to take down the message.
(Jedi Temple, afternoon local time)
In the Council Chambers, Ahsoka is sitting alone in the chamber while in the midst of a holo-call with Director Bishop.
"He's positive about this?" Ahsoka asks.
"Agent Stone seemed very confident in the information this man gave. The man said he could not narrow down the possibilities any further than he already had, nor was it a true guarantee that San Tekka has settled in either of these regions. However, it seems to be good intel, and good chance it's accurate. At the very least, it massively narrows down the area we have to search. With luck we'll have a good lead soon," Bishop says.
"Of course. Keep me informed of further development, and I'll keep in touch with General Organa. I'll try and send a few more Jedi to Andromeda," Ahsoka says.
"Thank you for your cooperation, Grandmaster. We'll keep you informed," Bishop says. He then nods once in respect before the transmission cuts off.
Ahsoka leans back a bit in her chair before she suddenly hears her personal commlink going off. Pulling it out, she clicks the button, and an image of Jared Hansen pops up. To her surprise, Jared seems hunched over a bit.
"Jared? What's going on?" Ahsoka asks, wondering if something went wrong.
"Ahsoka, I was just getting ready to head home, but the fish are starting to bite again, and I just hauled in a three foot catfish. I need a few more hours," Jared says.
Ahsoka literally facepalms before she says, "Jared, we may be friends, but I am not your tool to get you out of trouble with your wife for going out on a fishing trip without telling her what you're really doing. I already got you the morning on the river."
"Please, Ahsoka?! I almost never ask you for something like this," Jared says.
"Excuse me, you've asked me to cover for you on fishing trips twice so far this year, and there was that time back on Valentine's Day when you forgot to give Lacy a present and called me to help bail you…" Ahsoka starts in on him, smiling the whole time.
"Okay! Okay! I get the point. Just please, cover me one more time and I'll try not to ask anymore," Jared pleads.
Ahsoka sighs and says, "Alright. But you owe me big time for this." She shakes her head before cutting the call before she starts trying to call Hansen's house to speak to Lacy.
And, I'll end there. I hope you you liked this one.
Hope that little bit of humor at the end was amusing for you guys. I based it off a Tiktok I've seen from a series called "The Help Desk for Men". I highly recommend watching the series, as it's hilarious.
So, the Alliance is now on the trail of Lor San Tekka. The actual events of The Force Awakens will begin very soon.
Next chapter will be up tomorrow or the day after. Until it's up, please leave a review and stay tuned!
