The Luau Part 2
Alan and Anne made it back to their table where their family as well as their Pussycat friends were busy cleaning up the bowls of poi.
"You two feeling better?" Suzie asked Anne and Alan.
"Yeah, Pop just gave us some antacid, so I'm good." Anne said to Suzie.
"Ditto." Alan said.
"Oh, Anne, a visitor came while you were gone." Suzie said.
Next to Suzie sat the friendly Heirani.
"Oh, hi, Heirani, great to see you." Anne said.
"Feeling's mutual, I hear you were not feeling well a moment ago." Heirani said to Anne.
"Yeah, the poi just didn't sit well with me, all I did was take a whiff of it and it made me nauseous, no offense." Anne confessed.
"Ah, none taken, I'm not too crazy about poi either, it was my mom's idea to serve it." Heirani admitted.
"I see." Anne said.
Tropical music began to play.
"Oh, my favorite music! Anne, would you and your sisters wish to join me in a hula dance?" Heirani asked.
"Uh, I don't know, I'm no hula expert." Anne said, she was timid.
"Don't worry, I'll teach you, all of you." Heirani said to Anne.
"Well... okay, I guess." Anne said, she was reluctant.
"You can count me in." Suzie said.
"Me too." Mimi said.
"Same here." Nancy agreed.
Anne saw Josie, Melody, and Valerie out of the corner of her eye.
"Hey, Josie, would you, Melody, and Valerie care to join in?" Anne asked.
"Sure!" Josie exclaimed.
"Oh, boy, I love hula dancing." Melody agreed with a giggle.
"I'd sure love to." Valerie commented.
Within minutes, the four Chan sisters and three Pussycat girls were all in hula costumes, after watching Heirani dance perfectly on the stage, they followed her lead, the seven girls danced without flaw, even Nancy danced gracefully.
"Wow, doesn't Josie look great dancing like that?" Alan M. asked Alexander, clearly, he was smitten.
"Man, Anne is a swingin' dancer too." Alexander agreed with Alan M.
Alexander and Alan M., too, were enamored by the girls' performance.
Henry, Stanley, Alan, Tom, Flip, and Scooter, along with Charlie and Rosa watched on.
"You gotta admit, Anne looks terrific up there." Alan said to Tom.
"Indeed, quite splendid." Tom agreed.
"Yeah, she and Suzie are natural hula dancers." Henry commented.
"Way to go, Orange Citrus!" Alexander called out to Anne who had her hair in Japanese pigtail buns and decorated with orange tropical flowers.
Valerie became jealous due to Alexander's praising of Anne, but continued to focus on dancing.
Stanley pulled out a hula dancer costume, "Hey, maybe I should join in." he commented.
"Get rid of that stupid disguise and just watch!" Henry said irritably.
Stanley removed his costume and crossed his arms, "Boy, what a crab." he said.
Flip and Scooter continued watching their sisters dance while eating their snacks.
"Hate to say it, but Mimi is doing great." Scooter admitted.
"Yeah, even Nancy's got this, she hasn't tripped once." Flip agreed.
Alexandra too watched the scene and became jealous.
"Ooh! So Alan likes hula dancing, huh?" Alexandra grumbled with jealousy.
