Hey, everybody. Back with another chapter.

Let's get into this. We're gonna see some interesting things in this chapter.

Chapter 47- The Dream

(January 4, 2051)

Ben slowly opens his eyes, and to his surprise, he finds himself in an open space, surrounded by light and mist, with nothing else in sight. Ben slowly turns around to ensure he's not missing anything. Sure enough, there is nothing anywhere but the mist swirling around him.

"This is a dream," Ben mutters to himself. He continues to look around him for any sign of anything. He can't just be dreaming of being surrounded in mist. There has to be something to this dream.

"What is this?" he mutters to himself.

"We are in your mind."

Ben whirls around at the voice, looking for its source. Then, a moment later, a figure appears before him. Dressed in a white robe, with a scraggly beard, most of his facial features hidden at first. Then, he raises his head so that Ben can see his face. He looks middle aged, but with a wear on his face that suggests he has been through many battles and personal crises.

"Who are you?" Ben asks cautiously.

"I have been known by many names. But the one you would know me by is Revan," the figure says.

Ben's eyes widen in shock. He well knows the story of Revan and all that he accomplished and went through in his life. He had studied Revan's story extensively during his studies of Jedi history.

"Revan?" he asks

"Yes, young Skywalker. I have preserved my spirit through the ages, and now come to speak to you at this crucial moment," Revan says to Ben.

Ben is quiet for several long moments, his mind racing, not only in amazement that Revan has maintained his spirit and is speaking to him, but also wondering why Revan is speaking to him. He is the one to finally speak next as he questions, "Why? Why are you here, speaking to me?"

"Because, young Skywalker, you are at a crucial moment in galactic history. And I am here to set you on the right path to ensure that the galaxy is protected and peace restored across the stars," Revan says.

"What do you mean?" Ben asks, now really curious.

"Skywalker, the First Order is not just a threat to the galaxy. They are the latest culmination of eons of evil rising and falling to dominate the galaxy. The story behind their creation is hidden, and goes far deeper than you would expect. There is much more behind them than you are aware…and defeating them will not be so easy a task. And I speak not only of the growing strength of their leader," Revan says.

"What is there more to know?" Ben asks.

"I cannot tell you. I am bound not to reveal all to you. You must discover for yourself. But I can set you on the right path," Revan says.

"Then tell me. Where should I go? What should I do?" Ben asks.

"To know how to defeat the First Order and restore peace, you must know the groups that have led to their creation. You must learn to understand the dark side, and in particular, the Sith. It was the Sith that spawned the Empire, which led to the First Order. Knowing the Sith and the dark side will teach you what you must know in order to defeat Kylo Ren and his Knights and bring about the First Order's downfall. You must know the influences that have led to the enemy you now face," Revan says.

"But…the influence of the dark side could lead me…" Ben begins to say.

Revan cuts him off, however. "No, young Skywalker. For you will not go alone. The one called Rey, you will take her with you. She holds great power and lineage in her veins. She is the one who will help you bring about the final victory. Together, you will go on this journey, and gain the knowledge you need to bring about victory, and lead the Jedi into the future."

Ben is quiet, digesting all of what Revan has told him. Revan smiles ever so slightly before saying to the young Jedi, "I will tell you where you must go to begin this journey. The first steps lie on Tatooine. There you will find the first step to understanding the dark side, and learn what happens to those who embrace it."

"Tatooine?" Ben asks.

"Yes, Tatooine. Once you get there, the Force will guide you," Revan says. He pauses for a moment, then says, "I am sure I will one day speak to you again. Until then, may the Force be with you." Revan's spirit then slowly fades away.

Ben suddenly shoots up in bed, breathing heavily as he comes out of the dream. His mind is racing as he goes through everything that Revan just told him. Finally, he mutters to himself, "I'd better tell Dad."

(The next morning)

"So, you're certain that Revan spoke to you?" Luke asks his son.

Ben nods. In the morning, Ben had immediately gathered his parents, Rey, and Ahsoka Tano to speak to them about the dream he had had. He had just finished explaining what Revan had told him during the vision.

"Yes, dad. I'm certain. I could feel it," Ben responds.

"So, he told you you need to go on a journey to learn about the Sith and the dark side so you can be prepared to defeat Kylo Ren?" Ahsoka asks.

"Pretty much," Ben says.

Ahsoka looks back and forth between Luke and Ben before saying, "Do you really think this is the best idea?" She's very concerned about what a trip that could immerse Ben in the history and influence of the Sith could cause him.

"I trust Ben. If Revan really did give him this task, then he did so for a good reason," Luke says.

"And you better believe I'm coming with you," Rey insists.

"Of course," Ben says with a smile.

Luke stands up and walks up to Ben, resting a hand on his shoulder. "Ben, I trust you. But know that this journey will not be so easy. You will encounter many dangers, and be pulled towards the darkness."

"I know, dad. But I don't have a choice. Revan made it clear that this is the best way forward, and I'll do whatever it takes to protect the galaxy," Ben insists.

Luke is quiet for several long moments before he nods and says, "Alright. You and Rey will leave for Tatooine tomorrow. Spend the rest of the day preparing for this. And please, contact us if you ever find yourselves in over your heads."

"I will," Ben says. He then turns to Rey and smiles a bit. "Ready for the journey of your life?" he asks her.

"I'm ready," she says with a grin.

(Tatooine)

Jaina calmly shuts down her ship after feeling it touch down on the landing pad. Once she is sure it is shut down, she stands up and heads for the exit, an iron expression on her face.

When Jaina had been informed of what her brother had done to her father, she had almost sent an X-Wing flying across the Rebel Dream's hangar in anger. Her mother had managed to calm her down, but Jaina still carried a lot of residual anger towards her brother.

Over the following days, Jaina had learned more and more about what had happened in the galaxy since she became a Mandalorian, and more and more about what her brother had done. To see that she was angry with her brother was an understatement. Now, she had come to a decision about her path forward. She knew was the one who stood th best chance of defeating Kylo Ren, but if she was going to do so, she needed more training. Not in the Force, but in combat. And she knew one place to go in order to get the training she needed.

Jaina steps off her ship and walks towards the massive palace before her. And standing in front of the gate is Boba Fett, alerted to her arrival ahead of time and waiting for her.

Jaina walks up to meet Boba, stopping a few meters away. The two stand in silence for a moment before Boba says, "So. You're the daughter of General Organa, and Kylo Ren's sister."

"Yes, I am. And I'm here because I need help," Jaina answers firmly.

"And what kind of help is that?" Boba asks.

Jaina is quiet for a moment before she says, "I need to learn the skills in combat I need to defeat my brother. And I want you to train me."

"And why would I do that?" Boba asks.

"Because you're one of the most dangerous men in the galaxy, and you know destroying the First Order will be better for business. You can train me to bring down Jedi and those trained like them, Fett. You've done it often enough," Jaina responds firmly.

Boba is quiet for a little while before he begins to crack a grin. "Why don't you show me what you've got in you, and we'll go from there?" he says.

Jaina firms her face before sliding her helmet onto her head, drawing one of her blasters with one hand and her lightsaber in the other. Boba slides his helmet on his head and hefts his rifle. "Show me you're a warrior," Boba says.

"With pleasure," Jaina says, and her duel with Boba Fett to prove herself begins.

And, I'll end there.

So, this chapter kicks off what will be a long arc for Ben and Rey. This journey they're going on will last quite a few chapters, and delve into some deep Star Wars lore. I won't spoil too much, but I think you'll like it.

Then, Jaina. In Legends, Jaina actually did train with Boba Fett to defeat her brother after he became Darth Caedus. So, I decided to have the same thing happen here. She'll spend quite a bit of time training with Boba before returning to the wider galaxy.

Alright. Next chapter will be up soon. Until it is, please leave a review, and stay tuned!
