Chitose woke up, brushed his teeth, shaved his face except for the mustache, had breakfast and used flying raijin to the academy. He stepped into the class, hit the board to get the genins to listen or else. "Now, I will be your fuinjutsu teacher. The art of fuin is different from all others: it can be used to seal, it can store, it can be used to launch weapons, for traps like explosive tags and one of legendary uses would be the Flying Raijin or sealing a tailed beast." A blond boy perked up at the idea. " As I expect either your sensei sent you here seeing your skill with planing or lack of mastery with chakra control or you came here of your own will thinking it would be useful in the future if the need ever arises. I have class with the academy kids after I'm done with you."
"First I will show you the body warming seal." He wrote on the board. "Everyone take your ink sticks and rub it on your stones with water and concentrate pouring chakra into it while doing this otherwise it won't work."
Minato raised his hand. Chitose turned with some interest, at least one kid wasn't bored. "Yes, Namikaze?" He smiled. "What are the ink sticks made of?" Chitose smiled. "Well unlike other ink sticks they're made out of the same wood that chakra paper is made of. Like the Paper the ink stick will have a reaction to your chakra. Water release makes it easier to rub out as the tip liquefies, fire release makes the ink hotter and dry faster, earth release makes it more brittle and wind turns the tip into a powder, which really helps." They all ohhed.
"Just so you know I raised and cultivated the trees that those are made off. I made the sticks too." Another student raised her hand which by the hair and eyes was a yamanaka. "How do you cultivate them?" Chitose thought for a second, the clan did have a flower shop, which made sense why she wanted to know more. "Well the trees are in no better sense parasites, they grow near other trees and leech chakra, I cultivate them by pouring my own chakra into a single tree, that then is leeched by the rest of the field." The same student raised her hand again. "It grows the more chakra you add to it, just need to be careful to let the branches grow around you at the start. I have found weekly feedings to keep it healthy" She lowered her hand. "Now get your ink ready and we will start." He waited, drawing multiple seals.
The class ended with some students being stupid and drawing the explosive, Senju and Uchiha being the idiots. They came out with ash on their face, which to Chitose was a failure since a talented fuinjutsu master could memorize the seal and copy near perfectly. The class ended with them learning body warming seal and dry body seal which both would be great if you visited the land of rain or water.
The master looked over the seals, he didn't see much in talent maybe with hard work some could be fuin specialist or join Omoi in T.I. Minato walked to him. "Sensei you said that the flying raijin uses seals right?" He nodded mostly lazily, mostly needing some coffee. "Can you teach it to me?" He thought for a moment, remembering this kid had saved Kushina and since it was one of the second hokage's jutsu it wouldn't hurt, also he was pretty sure this kid could be dating her. "Screw it! Meet me at the Uzumaki compound at sixteen, bring a bottle of water and tell your sensei I'm going to miss out on getting drinks." Minato left smiling while Chitose was waiting for the academy students. "Now kids, we're going to practice calligraphy!" The students awed in disappointment. "I want the exploding senju and uchiha back, atleast that was funny."
Minato came to the compound exactly on time to find a little buddha statue at the gate with a scarf that had a seal on it. "Master Chitose?" He picked up the little figure only to find the old man appear in front of him. He wasn't shocked, just amazed.
"Good you didn't get scared, passed the first test now we will start with the most annoying part of this technique. The seal." The picked up the Buddha took its scarf off that had, flying Buddha written on it. "This is my seal formula and it can't be destroyed. Atleast I chink it can't be. Now you create your own seal which should be a phrase and once you have one, I will teach you how to mark an object. It might take you sometime to mark an object and more to just use this annoying jutsu." He took a breath calming himself. "Come back tomorrow, I'm going to talk to your sensei."
With talk they were drinking and sitting at a sleazy bar. "Shouldn't you be with your clan?" Jiraiya asked and he answered with. "Shouldn't you be getting into Tsunada's pants?" Chitose laughed when jiraiya blushed at the remark.
The master of seals was grading the seals the third year academy students had given him, most of them were passable, others were honestly just failures, some looked good but were so large they weren't practical. The hangover didn't help, questioning why he got talked into drinking so much and if that wasn't enough there was knocking. "Argh, who is it?" He said, grabbing his head. "Minato is here." He pushed the Papiers away. "Let him in, let's see what he got now."
Minato ran in and placed a Kunai in front of him. He read the writing on it. Sword of Shinobi's Love "Alright, good job, now you have to just do this." He slammed his palm on the table leaving his seal on it. "Are you going to teach me how to?" Chitose thought for a moment. "Yes, ask Kushina for the finger carving seal, because I need to grade these papers and after that look after Haruna." He took a seal and noticed the paper was empty under it was a fire seal that erupted and burned the rest of the Papier. "I'm going to do the bloody mist if this happens again. Alright then I'm teaching you how to use the Finger carving seal and after which I'm going to plan to torture my entire class under a Genjtusu." Minato looked scared and decided to leave.
Only three days of peace passed, Chitose was taking care of the chakra trees. "Chitose sensei! Teach me how to use flying raijin!" He slammed his and the seal appeared, The Uzumaki sighed. "Fine, Just so you know this is your last chance to stop this." He looked so determined and ready to go to battle. "Fine then, let's start with memorizing your seal and surround yourself with chakra and then concentrate on going there with your mind." Minato already started drawing the seal in his mind. "Ok." Chitose threw the kunai at a shed. "Now surround your body in chakra and imagine yourself standing next to it mentally." He took one step and hit his head on the shed when he teleported only to get knocked out by chakra exhaustion. "Oh, poor boy, Emumi, come quick. I don't want Kushina murdering me."
Minato awakened. "That was not what I was expecting." Chitose nodded. "Why does my mouth taste like lavender?" Emumi had already left with a bite mark. "Good Job kid, you did it. the flying Raijin now where the hell starts." Minato gulped but smiled. "I'M READY!" Chitose smirked. "Good, First physical training I'm getting Jiraiya here." Minato was now entering the gates to Enma's office.
"Alright kid we're going to shape you into form!" Jiraiya pointed in the most dramatic way he could as it started with Minato doing push ups while having seals that made his body experience gravity twice stronger.
After that being chased by a literal Oni summon chasing after him, around Konoha with said seals. Might Duy ran next to him. "Now that's the power of youth!" He said with a thumbs up. Before running past him and once the Oni caught up beat the kid senseless.
Jiraiya whistled. "Now that is cruel, how did you get an Oni summoning contract?" He shrugged. "Master Yotomo gave it to me after beating up an Oni in the Shuten mountains. It's easy to get there, but leaving it alive was the hard part, there's no poison clouds or magic mists, the Oni just beat you to death." He looked at the little Onis hitting Minato with sticks. "Oi! That's enough." They disappeared into clouds of smoke. "Time to attempt it again, without the gravity seals." He raised thumb up and attempted to teleport back to Uzumaki compound which he did. "Ok let's go after him." Chitose took hold of Jiraiya and teleported to Minato panting out of steam. "Good! You didn't faint, let's see you tomorrow alright?" Minato nodded and Kushina helped on his feet once she saw him.
As they left the old Uzumaki had an idea. "5000 Ryō, their first kid is a girl." Jiraiya let out a deep laugh. "I will take you on that! By the way, why did you agree to teach him the flying raijin?" He looked at Jiraiya. "Because he saved our hime, so of course I will fulfill his request and if he give us an heir I can retire." He let out a big laugh. "But if I'm honest it's because I can see he is a good kid." Jiraiya smiled knowing what he meant. "By the was how did you learn the Flying Raijin?" The old Uzumaki shrugged. "Hashirama told us how it worked and being a jutsu that used seals, I learned it as part of my training." Jiraiya just stared dumbfounded. "But I also use it to spy on women at the bath house, I know a great spot wanna join me?" Jiraiya nodded and both disappeared.
Minato teleported and was laying on his back. "Why does this use up so much chakra?" Chitose stepped toward. "It's because the chakra 'cloak' you form around yourself is large, each time you use the technique you lose that chakra in an instant, normally once you stop flaring your chakra it returns to you body, however with the raijin you lose that chakra once the jump is complete."
He nodded understandingly. "So that's why you and Jiraiya pushed me through those exercises! To grow my chakra reserves." Chitose nodded. "Yea but at this rate you won't gain the amount of chakra needed to perform the jutsu without feeling fatigued." Minato looked heart broken at that. "However you just need to control your chakra to make the cloak smaller" He perked back up. "Which means a lot of meditation and getting hit with a mace." At that his will broke a little. Wait Master Chitose how come you use a lot of chakra when you use this technique?" He asked for a good explanation.
"Because compared to us Uzumaki your chakra is a drop in the lake" Minato had to ask, as his confidence in his chakra feel.
To this the Fuin master and toad sage dedicated themselves into helping Minato mastering chakra control, with a Oni standing behind him as he balanced a leaf, walked on water and even attempted to fly but that only ended with floating off a few inches. "This is awesome!" He said teleporting around from marker to marker. "This is Great! I don't feel any fatigue or anything. This is amazing!" He said jumping from seal to seal. "Oh one last thing." He grabbed Minato out of the air. "If you break Kushina's heart I will seal you in a scroll and throw you into the ocean where no one will find you understood?" Minato nodded, terrified for his life. "Good, now if you have anything else to ask, go to Kushina. I already filled her head with most of our lore." He kicked out Minato after what was honestly six months of work he celebrated with some relaxation and silence. "Thank you again sensei." He smiled at the blond boy. "It's no Problem Blondie." He looked out of his window to Haruna crawling toward his mother, it felt great to be old sometimes.
authors note: aah this my relaxation an interlude that is sweet and no war for a bit. no one dying and no worries about how to run the story with a character dead or how I'm going to ship Might guy with Emumi and produce a big browed daughter. Please review review are like chakra fruits, they give me energy.
Also this chapter was fun mostly dissecting The Flying Raijin to explain why at one point Three people need to join hands to do it while in another, two shinobi can use it unlimited. So I made it a nightmare to master and complicated to a degre. In this case having two Shinobi with good understanding just made the process easier for Minato but him being genius to master chakra control helped alot.
