The village was calm, the world was no longer at war and there was no suffering in Konoha unless you were part of the root or currently giving birth. While that was happening, I sat in my office awaiting the birth of the heir. All the blood and war, the silence was a welcome.

Then the tailed beast Appeared in Konoha. "Master Chitose!" I Ran and got a sealing scroll, running out and heading toward the beast. "Emumi, Omoi, Haruna! Uzumaki lock pyramid! I will teach this fox not to mess with Konoha!" "Hai!" They body flickered to three sides of the beast and formed a massive chakra Pyramid. After I jumped in front of the beast, I opened the scroll and strings of seal writing ran across the beast tying it in place once.

The nine tails still fought against the seal and prepared to fire a beast ball. I threw a kunai in front of it and once it fired, I sealed the Biju dama into my arm. It hurt like hell, my arm violently shaking as it bloated the chakra like snakes slithering through it. The nine tails looked furious and started attempting to claw at the barrier preparing for a second Biju Dama. I Threw a Kunai over its head and released the sealed beast ball into its face weakening it, even if I lost an arm it looked like the beast was knocked out.

Then it awakened and roared, firing another tailed beast ball into the barrier, everyone holding the barrier had their Tenketsu in their arms to pop as I watched Emumi still summoned her shield and used it to little effect, launching multiple Sonic attacks. The beast panted as it looked at the kage monument, and fired another ball before Minato came. Using a transportation seal to teleport the Biju dama to a better less populated position as seen with my inner eye of Kagura seeing it explode a mile away. "I'm dying here, you got that fox?!" I said summoning a Shinigami mask and I was engulfed in darkness and there I saw the mask's patron. "You want power from me?" It was a sickly and obese creature, inside its folds eyes hid that blinked, while its own face didn't have any, its hairs were like tendrils with more eyes. "Hyakume, take my sight and give the power to defeat my enemy." It laughed and placed its extending hand onto my head. "Once your foe is defeated I will take your sight. Yet I will ensure you will not die defeating your enemy" It laughed and I returned to the physical world and ran as all my wounds were healed and my arm regenerated. I grabbed onto the beast and threw a shuriken into the forest outside of Konoha. I grappled the beast and teleported there.

I pressed my hand into the ground forming a red spherical barrier around us. "Chitose sensei!" I looked at Minato and Kushina. "We need to seal the beast, master." Chains erupted catching the beast. They were shocked as I performed the reaper death seal. "I will split one into the child and the other half into myself." Kushina looked at me Demandingly "Why Naruto?! Couldn't you seal the entire beast in yourself?!" I bite my tongue, frustrated that I couldn't. "No, I would if I could Lady Kushina, but my body wouldn't be able to contain the beast for long. If I took it in its entirety it would escape in full force and Naruto is the only good vessel we can use." Kushina sighed in agreement and the sealing commenced as one half was pulled out and placed into the me.

Minato summoned the altar for the child. "What is the kid's name?" Minato placed the child and in an instant The beast's claw stabbed Minato. "NO!" before it could reach the child. I did the hand seal and placed my hand on the ground "Uzumaki earth: drill seal!" The earth erupted into spikes erupted through the ground and stabbed the beast stopping any continued attempts. "Minato…" Kushina said as Continued to seal the beast. "Don't worry." He panted slowly and looked at Naruto. "Naruto. Listen to your mother, don't do too many pranks you got that? Always brush your teeth and eat all your vegetables. Be kind to everyone no matter what clan or where they're from, don't trust strangers and make sure to make friends. Remember your father loves you." Kushina just cried, feeling the pain of losing her love. In my last act I placed a small amount of his chakra into the eight trigrams seal, before letting the barrier down as the sealing finished.

I fell to the ground. As the darkness took over, I heard Emumi screaming for Kushina's name. Hopefully she will be able to help Kushina, I lost my consciousness, slowly accepting death. Then I woke up in the hospital, the world was dark, I remembered what the Shinigami said. "Where's Kushina?" I asked them to focus on my mind's eye to find her laying in a different ward holding Naruto. "They're alright, master." I turned my head to the voice confused, not having a face to connect the voice to. "It's me, Omoi. Kushina is fine but Minato." I cursed in my mind, why did this happen and what did our clan do to be so cursed. The last sight was of Minato dying and in the darkness I saw his dead body. Hanging over me as he limped that I failed. "Are you alright?" I nodded ignoring the image. "How did Kushina survive?"

"Emumi forced Kushina to bite her and she got better. Sometimes that curse can be a life saver huh?" I nodded. I was still in the darkness. I looked at the cage, seeing the nine tails in front of me. That's what I saw in my darkness, it and Minato's bleeding body infront of me. "That twisted beast knew this would happen." I turned to Omoi. "Well I can retire from being a clan head. Who will be the next hokage?" I asked worriedly. "Hiruzen has decided to return to his seat as hokage." I sighed feeling sympathy for another man stuck in a position he's getting too old for.

"Leave, I need to rest."

"You failed us sensei."

I sat at the ramen shop. "Ah Chitose! Hero of the leaf! Today's meal will be on the house." Then I laughed, Teuchi always knows how to get a rise out of me. "Your usual?" I nodded and the little Ayame spoke it out. "Calamari Shio Ramen with sake." I smiled at the child only seeing her chakra now. "That's right, you're a smart one right?" She confidently nodded at her father. I sighed, the world was so colorless now except *he turned his toward the illusions in the darkness* those, "What got you in the dumps?"

I leaned on the table, I was so used to this place. "Mostly not saving the fourth, the eyes." I waved my hand in front of them. "I feel like I could have done more." He aggressively placed the sake bottle.

"Now stop this pity party, Chitose you saved the village and Stopped the ninetails from doing more damage. I know it's hard losing the fourth but the third said we need to continue." I smiled. "Make those two orders." Teuchi nodded and left to the back while Ayame stared at me. I think she was staring. "What, did I turn uglier?" She shook her head. "Did my hair turn blue?" She giggled at that.

I got my ramen and in less than a minute I ate everything. "You know what I miss, children laughing, now it's just babies crying whenever I'm home. When do babies grow out of crying? Because I'm pretty sure there won't be any more little crying infants for a while." I got my second bowel, and enjoyed it till I saw Minato dead eyes smiling at me. I still finished my bowl, left and got out of there, walked to the bath house and still the world changed to adapt to my current position. As I sat in the bath my body was covered in blood in the dark as I saw many of the clan there, all those who died in uzushio. I teleported out of the bathhouse into my room, reaching heavily as I saw Minato again. "Please stop." I begged if I was a child again being berated by my parents. "Master Chitose?" I turned my head toward Kushina and her warmth and love was radiating as her hand rested on my shoulder. "I'm fine just getting used to the sounds."

Honestly I was being tortured by a twisted Shinigami. "It's been hard on all of us. I need to go to the clan counsel meeting and if anything happens call for Rei or Omoi."

I nodded, standing up in the darkness again showed me the destruction. I was in uzushio again, the dead now crawling out of the wreckage. It wasn't fair, why did so many die for my worthless life! I couldn't protect anyone, I was worthless I didn't deserve to be alive or—

"Waa!" the cry wasn't an echo they were real.

I walked to the nursery to naruto crying. I picked him up and sat in the rocking chair and just let the baby calm down as the world changed from darkness into a blue hue. There I remembered why we left uzushio, why we were sent out of the village, why we survived. Because of the future.

I fell asleep with Naruto and woke up in the middle of the night. "Huh what now?" I looked at Kushina having done the same, having taken Naruto holding him. I chuckled, covered them with a blanket and left for my own bedroom.

I layed down, looked around me and only saw the beast. "I will bring you a bottle of sake." I turned and fell asleep.

Authors note: ok this where we come to Shinta and Haruna era of time. the focus will be on those two Uzumaki as they take different steps in their ninja paths. There will be deaths, uzumaki clan being sus of everyone who are from the ninja villages and many members joining Anbu or Root. Next chapter will focus more on Kushina learning about Secrets and deals that the clan has done under Chitose.
