The Entire Uzumaki Clan came to the exam holding their bet slips. "I can't believe you all bet on Shinta to lose!" She spoke glaringly at the clan members who were old enough to make bets.
Emumi sighed. "Oh don't act like it isn't a hell of a competition this year! I mean an uchiha prodigy and an Aburame! He will be lucky to get out of this walking." As she said that her fiancé came behind Kakashi. "It's time for the spirit of youth to show!" Emumi sighed as he grinned. Emumi just smiled at him and gave him a peek on the cheek "Yes it will be dear." held him close as they sat down.
Kushina turned to Omoi and Kakashi. "I wasn't like this right?" Kakashi shaked his Dead while Omoi shrugged. "Still I got a slip for him to win you jerks!" Chitose chuckled. "I bet on a draw, it's the rarest so when it happens it happens all the money is mine!" He said, smirking, not realizing that it was just a piece of paper and that Okei had taken the real slip. "Ok master Chitose if you say so." Omoi said and turned to Kushina. "His going senile isn't he?" Kushina looked too awkward to answer that.
Kakashi looked around. "When is he going to be here?" He asked, a bit frustrated.
The kohage spoke into the microphone. "This will be the first match, under the request of the elder the first match will be picked at random." He pulled a note out of the box. "Itachi Uchiha vs Kizashi Haruno" The combatants came out and Kizashi raised his hand. "I surrender, I would like to walk back to my kid, not in a wheelchair." From the stand a woman yelled out. "Kizashi you promised you would try this year you jerk! How can you be a role model if you're going to just give up like that!?" He turned to the stand. "Mebuki, do you really want to take care of me and Sakura while I'm stuck in a cast for months?!" The Woman sat back down crossing her arms. "Good luck kid, I'm getting out of here before the real fights start." He walked past Itachi patting him on the shoulder.
Hokage sighed and took out another note. "Tsuji Shimaru vs Ko Huyga." The two opponents stepped into the Arena. The hyuga all watched their family member while the only Shimaru who came was Danzo as he demanded.
Their fight started with Shimaru using Wind Release Vacuum bullets, Ko dodged quickly and attempted to clear the distance.
Yet Shimura didn't relent; he acted like a frog jumping from wall to wall. In an instance the Shimura created three shadow clones to even out the odds.
Ko attempted to tell the clones apart yet they all had equal amounts of chakra and when one of the clones attempted to attack the Hyuga's blind spot, Ko span hit the clone only for it to burst into lightning and electrocute him. Ko had a kunai held to his neck by another clone.
"Winner, Tsuji Shimura." Ko was carried back to the infernary.
Hana sat next to Ko while Shinta looked outside. "Don't worry Ko I will Beat him into the ground for you…" he spoke calmly. "Then I will be the chunin boss!" He smiled pointing his thumb at the two. "How are you going to counter Chika or Itachi?" He got an evil glint in his eyes.
The next match ended with the shimura falling to a genjutsu and then falling to the ground. Danzo sighed, angered by his clan's failure, so the next round began.
Nakagawa Fūma vs Ogata Izuno
The Fūma started out strong throwing the giant Kunai yet Ogata used his Cat like reflexes to dodge and place direct hits on the Nakawaga. Leaving the Ninja scarred and Ogata grinning.
Chitose sighed. "Looks like a bad genin crop this year." Kushina turned to him glaring, Naruto on her mothers lap hit the older man on the shoulder. "No calling big bro bad you jerk!" Chitose chuckled. "Naruto don't say that and it goes for you too Chitose." The elder simply rolled his eyes.
Hana inuzuka vs Chika Aburame.
It was a short match, none of Hana's techniques could counter the insect the Aburame girl used in less than ten minutes the fight went to Chika Aburame. Even the attempted passing was countered with an insect clone.
She panted standing up. "Let's see how you do without your bugs." She smirked carrying the pups out of the arena. "Go take a bath fleabag." Hana left smirking as Chika took her seat as the next battle was announced.
Shinta Uzumaki vs Maekawa Akimichi
Shinta came out and everyone looked at their bet slips. "Looks like the old rivalry is getting on track." Kushina turned to the old timer. "What? But that kid's two years older than Him and I don't remember any Akimichi in his class."
He sighed. "No, in the warring states time the Uzumaki and Akamichi had a bit of a rivalry. It was not like Uchiha and Senju but when you hire giants you better get the chains to hold them down." Shinta watched as his senior turned into a ball and rapidly rolled at him to which he answered with a chain wall stopping him in his tracks. "That's why they buddied up with Nara and Yamanaka." Chitose explained as Shinta tied up Maekawa with his chains and swung him against the wall, knocking him out. "How come I never heard of this?" Chitose shrugged. "That's what my grandfather told me and so did my father." He turned to the other Uzumaki and he could feel their chakra flaring staring at their betting sheets. "Yea, you should study your history more." He spoke laughing and getting glared at by the rest of the clan.
The rest of the matches were the civilian Ninja which all ended with two Uchiha getting into a fireball throwing contest and wasting their chakra ending Iseri Uchiha winning.
The semi finals came up.
Ogata Izuno vs Shinta Uzumaki
Iseri Uchiha vs Chika Aburama
Itachi Last Opponent.
Shinta looked at his opponent and the instant the match started he formed the hand sign and locked himself in a stone. Ogata stayed far, not activating his cat form, a hole formed in the sphere and a geyser erupted as water rained in the arena.
Ogata raised a brow even if he was soaking wet. "What are you just trying out a new jutsu? Just forfeit already!" Naruto held his mouth shut, Kushina saw his reaction. "Naruto what's wrong?" He turned to his mother and at the same time As Shinta he spoke the name of the jutsu. "Water chains jutsu!" Agoto watched as the droplets formed into chains and tied his legs together and then the earth shifted and formed cuffs around his body and arms. Shinta got out and walked to Ogata pointing his kunai at Ogata.
But Ogata smirked, Shinta jumped back as the Izuno used a scroll moving at a rapid speed, Shinta dodged flying through the air as the cat continued to use body flicker to get close to Shinta only for the Uzumaki to launch himself away. "Just give up already! I came this close to winning and I will prove to those dogs my clan aren't weaklings!" He growled Shinta Just. "What do you have to prove?! Your clan just joined and had their own compound, so what makes you so special?!" Ogata ran at Shinta and held his throat. "I did it!" At the moment a man eating lotus formed, capturing the clone and Ogata.
The clone just stared at Ogata. "Be happy for what you have, because my clan was pushed to the brink of extinction, would you take that for a compound?" The Izuno clan member starred as the clone exploded, launching him out of the earth lotus knocked out.
"It's set, Shinta Uzuamki is the Victor." All his sisters screamed out cheering. Shinta walked out and Kakashi repeated the match in his head. "Kushina, do you know the technique he used?" Kushina turned to Kakashi. "No, first time I have seen it. But Naruto already knew about it, did he show it to you?"
Naruto pouted, crossing his arms. "The jerk used it on me." Kushina nodded with her smile twitching.
Kakashi still found something odd. "How did he know where to use the earth technique?" The next match began and in the start there was fire.
Iseri Uchiha launched a Great fireball at the Aburame and after she dodged the technique the match was over, the Aburame insects covered Iseri's legs and then it ended as Isere ran out of chakra. "Match set! Chika Aburame, we will have a recess before the next match." Haruna was in the med room with the rest of team Tsume.
Hana still felt her skin crawl. "Why do I still feel those insects on my skin?!" She said scratching herself heavily. Ko sighed glaring at her. "Hana it's in your head, I checked five times already. The worst thing is one of your dogs has fleas." He lowered his volume at the last part. Hana just stared at him blank in the eyes and ran out with her pups. Shinta came past her sighing. "You told her she has fleas?" Ko looked at the ground defeated. "I was going to ask if she knew anything Chika Aburame did during her fight." They both stayed silent. "What trick do you have up your sleeve?" Shinta looked at him surprised and before he could answer. "I know you were spying on all the competitors, I saw you leaving at six and coming back at eight, I checked with my Byakugan and saw you infiltrating all the clan compounds using your boil release as a cloak to hide from sensors."
He smirked, clapping. "I guess that's what happens when you don't tell your friends huh? I didn't have another method like Dojutsu so I had to do what I could." He spoke accusing Ko of doing the same.
Ko glared at him. "Yes you did, so how did you get through the Aburame compound?" Shinta checked the room and saw an insect. "Can't spoil the fun for miss sun goggles huh?" He nodded and left the infirmary.
"Hey, Kakashi did keep a seat free for me?!" The white head pointing to the empty seat. "Thanks, Kushina, how's it going?" Kushina was beaming with pride while the rest of the clan just stared with dejection. "I'm guessing Shinta is hurt? Winning?" Kushina giggled. "He's in the finals." Naruto cheered. "Big bro is going to make mama rich!" Kushina picked Naruto up, smiling at her boy.
"The next fight is Shinta against an Aburame member. So sit down before you get lost." Kakashi's friend sat down next to Kushina. "Why are you late again?"
"I was helping a grandma with her Groceries." Kushina giggled at the answere and Kakashi rolled his eyes smiling.
