AUTHORS NOTE: This chapter and work are by no means a deliberate commentary on the current events of the world. It was entirely coincidental and not a deliberate action that I have chosen a Middle Eastern fictional country while multiple real-life countries are currently engaged in several conflicts with each other. I do not support or condone any real-life violence and terrorism on either side of the conflict. I apologize in advance if I offend readers with this chapter. Please know It was entirely accidental.
Edit: Forgot to add the line breaks. Also forgot to explain what universe this is. As you can guess from the first chapter it's pretty much a combination of the DC animated properties and love of action movies. I am aware of the comic and I will use their established canon but Not everything. There are some things I find to be just too inconsistent or not portrayed well that I will make my interpretations in this story.
For example. Batman can solo the Justice League. I do believe that if he was prepared but he ain't beating shit if all of them gang up on him and I'm using that logic here on out. The Speedforce, the Flash TV show is complete and Wally West getting his kids back was f-word stupid and utter garbage so I'm gonna use the Flashpoint Speedforce for this. Also another thing obviously, 'but but he can solo superman!' I am aware of doctor fate, Zatanna, mogal, superboy prime, etc. Look it's been said and done so many times I'm putting my foot down on that. I'll get there when I get there, just don't at me when the time comes.
I call this universe Earth 2138-YDC. Very Clever I know. Anyway enjoy the chapter folks and sorry for the new chapter notification most of you probably got from this update.
"[Grasp heart]".
*thud* the soldier fell on the ground, lifeless with blood pooling out of his mouth.
"What? What the hell is that!" One of the soldiers said in panic.
"[Dragon Lightning]"
Within a moment the remaining two soldiers were electrocuted to the point their flesh was charred, their bodies twitching away the last embers of life and electricity coursing in them.
Abbas Looked up and saw the most terrifying and well-dressed skeleton he had ever seen. To his horror, it turned its head towards him and spoke.
"Hello there young one. I am Momonga."
The boy stood still wholly terrified. It must have been one of those monsters his parents told him about that killed his uncle when the Elite attacked. He was most certain this skeleton in front of him was one of those monsters as well.
Out of a dark void that appeared another figure jumped through. It was a literal knight in shining armor.
"Justice has arrived!" The knight said in a pose with what Abbas could swear actual words were appearing behind the Shining Knight that spelled out his sentence. His voice was so powerful and noble that it comforted you as if everything was going to be alright
Abbas concluded that if this person was a hero, he could help. Abbas turned and saw that his mom was still, unmoving. He ran towards her shaking her body desperately and failing to wake up his mother.
"Please save my mom!" Abbas pleaded.
Within a moment the silver knight had pulled out a gold-trimmed vial with red opaque liquid and poured it into the woman. In an instant, Abbas saw his mother's wounds disappear, and the weight she lost from their constant starvation regained itself. It was a grueling few seconds Abbas endured but it went away when his mother coughed.
"Wha-? Where am I?"
"Don't worry ma'am you are safe now." The Shining Knight had said.
" *Gasp* Abbas!" His mother screamed out, Abbas ran to her and hugged her as hard as she could. Both of them were crying in joy of being alive, for the first time in his life Abbas had felt hope.
"Thank you! Thank you so much for saving us!" His mom said to the knight.
"Protecting the weak is just common sense. You do not need to thank me"
"But I do hope you can answer some questions for us." Abbas and his mother looked behind the towering knight, he was instantly clutched in his mother's arms tightly to the point of it hurting. Abbas saw why. It was a robed skeleton that stood almost as tall as the knight, it had red glowing lights in its eyes and its expression was so full of hate it made Abbas's heart drop to his stomach.
He could only hope the knight would save him and his mom again.
'Whew! Thank goodness these guys are so weak. If they can't even resist a 5th tear spell on their own, then their gear is high level, not the entity.' Momonga thought to himself in relief. It was blind luck that the tomb's defense shield system was able to block the power of the missile. Unfortunately, the shockwave undid the progress they made in making the sand dunes and covering the entrance to the tomb.
'Sorry Bukubukuchagama! I promise to let Mare use some of the treasury dresses as an apology!' Momonga thought to himself, fearing the rage of the VERY protective mother.
After his thoughts, he turned to the mother and son Touch-Me was talking to. 'Looks like he's doing his hero schtick.'
"Thank you! Thank you so much for saving us!" The mother said to Touch-Me.
"Protecting the weak is common sense. You do not need to thank me". Touch-Me said in his typical hero pose.
"But I do hope you can answer some questions for us.". Momonga decided to interject himself. The Mother clutched her son in her arms to point Momonga noticed the boy had a look of pain. 'Looks like undead get the same treatment here. Still, better have them answer us while they're still here.'.
"I'll Answer you just don't hurt my son!" The mother said fear evident in her voice, The boy was on the verge of tears once more.
"Please calm down Madam. This is my friend Momonga. We heard cries for help and came to answer them. I promise you no harm will befall you, I swear on my name." Touch-Me spoke in the voice and tone he used to get people to lessen their panic, a talent he learned from his career as a police officer.
The mother looked at Touch-Me with uncertainty but shifted to that of trust. "I'll answer your questions Momonga. What is it you want to know?"
"Thank you Touch-San. First, what are your names?"
"I am Aisha. Abbas is my son." The woman said still in fear of him.
"Aisha, do you know where we are?"
"I don't know specifically but I do remember some of the soldiers saying that we were in some kind of base in Pokolistan. I think we're in the desert region." Aisha replied.
'Pokolistan? I had never heard of this country before. Sounds like the Middle Eastern countries from the old world before they were whipped out in the radiation storms. Still, if it's a base it's most likely the military is here. Better take some precautions.'
"Thank you, Aisha. Tell me do you know what magic is?" Touch-Me said.
"A little from what we hear from the news about Heroes and Villains," Aisha said a look of worry on her face.
' Heroes and Villains? What kind of world is this? Going to have to settle that later, right now finding the people that attacked us is the priority.' Momonga thought to himself, He was concerned at the mention of heroes and villains. Ainz Ooal Gown was a guild that based itself around evil and if Heroes were a thing, there might be a chance a player with a grudge against their guild can appear.
"Then this will make things easier to explain. [Shield of Faith V], [Wall of protection from arrows]. Touch me said, two glowing domes formed around the pair, and Aisha was stunned. She had only heard of magic before but never expected to see it with her own eyes.
"We'll go and make sure your pursuers are taken care of. These spells will keep you safe. Come Momonga! EVIL AWAITS!" Touch-Me said, raising his sword high, and was about to burst out of the area but was stopped by a young voice.
"Can you bring back my dad? Please, he got hurt by the soldiers!" Abbas begged the two.
'[Message: I would say ' we will if we can' if people found out we could bring back the dead it would cause problems.]' Momonga sent the internal [Message] to Touch-Me.
'[Message: but is that the right decision Momonga? Look at them! They are practically in the same condition the homeless were in our old world. They look deprived of life, at least this way we can get them on our side because we can bring him back!]'. Touch-Me replied
' *sigh* if it means we can get some more information from here, suppose it will have to be worth it. Still, I'm going to have to bring this up to the guild. We can't just use something like that without knowing the capabilities of this world first.' Momonga thought to himself.
"You have our word, we will save your father. I swear this under the name of Ainz Ooal Gown!" Momomga said to the young boy. He left with Touch-Me and followed a trail of dust footprints. The duo ran until they came across the body of a man facedown, blood pooling from gunshots.
Touch-Me instantly ran to the man and put two fingers on his neck.
"His pulse is faint, I'll stay with him and guide him back to his family. I'll join you soon Momonga." Touch-Me said, pulling out another potion and doing his best to help the unconscious man swallow the red liquid. Momonga merely nodded his head and moved on, choosing to use the [fly] spell.
He flew past trails of shoe prints and blood splatters, he eventually flew over a towering wired fence. Bodies of soldiers littered the ground and Momonga even noticed a red slat on the side of a watch tower that still had bits of flesh embedded in it with the top of it on fire. He made it to the center of the base and found a giant plane crashed into a hanger with fire, smoke, and debris encompassing the entire interior and smoke flowing out of the caved-in roof.
As he flew down to inspect the damage, he saw Albedo walk through the wall of flames blocking the massive entrance doorway. She seemed to have a handkerchief in her hand wiping away something on her armor.
"Hmph. To think that man would leave such a mess all over me. Ah! Hello dear. Did you find anything or did you want to keep me company?" Albedo said, putting her Handkerchief in her [Inventory], smiling at Momonga.
"Me and Touch-Me found a family on the outskirts of the base, my love. Touch-Me is with them but he should be here soon after he gets them to safety. Speaking of which, where is Peroroncino?" Momonga asked, looking around not seeing the birdman.
"Up here Momonga!" Momonga and Albedo looked up and saw Peroroncino glide down holding a hysterical pilot panicking in one hand and a bag of… 'Is that anime and manga in his bag? Wait, THAT'S HENTAI!' Momonga noticed as his jaw went wide in shock that his friend had managed to fulfill his role of Aerial support as well as that of his openly perverted nature.
"Peroroncino what is that in your hand?" Albedo asked in a curious voice but her face deadpan expression betrayed any genuine interest in her tone.
"Oh, this guy? Figured we could learn more about why they attacked us if we could get one of the big shots around here. It turned out this guy was a Captain!" Peroroncino said holding up the human by the back of his collar as one would a cat.
"I can see that. I mean why are you holding that bag?" Albedo's voice shifted to one of frustration and disbelief that the guild's 1st resident pervert before the emergence of Shalltear was thinking tactically and even more disbelief that the birdman had also found smut in the base.
"Hey, I know that look. I know my sister taught you that look to give to me or Shally when we go on our passion!" Peroroncino said defensively, that Momonga's emotional suppression activated not out of rage but fear. Momonga's wife was many things, but patience with antics was not one of them. Especially to those who thought talking back to her with a childish attitude was a good idea.
'[Group Message: So you went out of your way in the middle of a battle to rub one out!]' The voice of Peroroncino's sister Bukubukuchagama yelled out in all of their minds.
'[Group Message Peroroncino: Hey you know how sexy cat girls are! I merely wanted to express my appreciation for such masterful art the way any self-respecting man would!]'
[Group Message Bukubukuchagama: Albedo told me and don't you dare think about passing down any more of your collection to Shalltear! I don't care how much you both think about it or beg for it. Your hentai collection is not a family heirloom!]
[Group Message Peroroncino: Hey don't think I don't know about your stockpile, Ms. 'I'm not a fan of Boku no trapu, just ignore the 10 doujin volumes I hid under my bed in high school'!]
As the two siblings went back and forth on their argument Momonga and Albedo unfortunately got caught in the crossfire of, an explosion that went off in a distant building catching the group's attention.
"SHIT, SHIT, SHIT! AHHHhh…" A green suit mercenary cried out being dragged out a door to be torn apart by zombies.
"Set up the C4 charge! We need to hide any evidence we were here! Get the intergang HQ on the comms! No-" A mercenary with multiple tattoos on his face had his head explode as one of the undead soldiers of the base that still clung to its firearm managed to blindly pull the trigger of its gun.
"What do we do now man? The entire place is overrun with those zombies outside and the main plane got shot down! The Teleporters aren't working either man!" A technician in a dark green jumpsuit said hyperventilating and tinkering with a device attached to his wrist but the screen displayed showed nothing but static and several 'signal lost' pings.
"EVERYONE SHUT UP!" Everyone who was not on defense duty paid attention to the booming voice. It was a man clad in a green-colored power suit with a purple outline and see-through helmet.
"We got the guns and cars these third-world wetbacks bought from us and we're gonna take them back, and we're gonna use them to get out of here. Use the fucking backup plane! You all at the door set up an actual defense, you useless asswipes! For fucks sake stop using rocket launchers and C4 in point-blank range! If any of you want to get out of here alive you listen to me!"
One of the armored goons stood up and pointed his gun towards the power armored man.
"And why should we listen to you? You got moped by Superman in the same suit you are wearing! Do you think we're going to take orders from an unnamed green punching b-" Before the goon could finish the entire upper half of his body was turned to a spray of red, his legs ingrain to the ground broken and bent. The only indication as to what caused the man's death to everyone was a snapping sound and a long green metallic whip flowing back into the power armor.
"For anyone that's getting any second Ideas. You will refer to me as Mannheim! Anyone else thinking of getting wise can look at the funny guy on the floor. Now get to it!" Mannheim yelled loudly at the crowd. They followed his order out of fear of being killed next.
'Fuck. This was supposed to be an easy job. Escort the business lady and the merchandise, sell the weapons, take the cash, and get home to give them lab coats a new batch of test subjects.' Mannheim thought to himself grunting in annoyance.
He walked to the back sections of the hanger. It was here the main cargo was kept and Mannheim couldn't wait to get rid of it. It was entire freight boxes full of people, Bialyan or Pokolistan Mannheim didn't know and didn't care. The general of Pokolistan needed the cash and his employers were willing to buy. The men back here organized them all into trucks, and collars, or having fun with some of them the rowdy ones were eying.
Several of the crates here were filled with whatever people they had just thrown in and locked up. Some of the people cried for their families, others tried to kill them or escape. Mannheim made sure to make an example with the freight of girls they had to sell to some freaks in Gotham. He loved the snapping sounds they made when he killed them, good thing too as it got all the noisy ones to quiet down.
'Soon I'll be a rich man.' Manheim thought to himself grinning at the possible things he could do with the money he'd gain. He looked to his right and saw a little girl trying to tinker with the lock with his family behind him. The girl looked up and her face changed to one of sheer fear. The girl was caked with dirt, thinner than a girl that age should even be, with fresh wounds and old scars seen through her torn hole-ridden clothes.
"Looks like someone didn't get the message," Mannheim said walking towards the girl, her family putting her behind them scurrying to the back of the crate trying to make as much space from him as possible.
"Aww, how cute." He said wiping away the gate in one swing. The family was terrified at what Mannheim would do to them.
Just when he was going to grab the girl a booming voice was heard garnering his attention at the sheer loudness of the voice.
"Stop! I am Momonga! I am here to seek the ones responsible for attacking my home!" The voice said loudly, anger clear in its tone. Mannheim turned around and noticed his men were all looking up, as turned his head in the air he saw a trio of flying figures.
The One on the left was a golden armored literal hawkman carrying a bow larger than the Green Arrows, the one on the right was a heavily platted woman carrying a giant jet-black shiny ax, and the one on the center was what got Manheim on edge.
It was a black-robed ornate skeleton carrying a staff that seemed to glow with some kind of power. The skeleton itself looked directly at him, eyes of red staring as if looking at his very soul, and given how magic guys like these worked it probably was. The only thing Mannheim could think of in a situation like this that never failed him.
'Fuck'
Author's Note: And that is Part One of this chapter. I initially planned to write it all out but I am already pressed for time in my schedule and wanted to at least put something out after the Halloween special. Anyway, after the next chapter, we are gonna see how the rest of the Justice League reacts to our favorite undead bone daddy and bone daddy lover and bone daddy kids and bone daddy friends.
Also hope you enjoy the picture I got for this story. Had some very good help from Bryku from Reddit! By chance, if you are reading this yourself thank you for the image!
Thank you all for giving a part of your day to read a very ambitious fanfiction.
