In the last instalment of Power Rangers Wild Fury, the Alien Hunters sent down an enemy created specifically to destroy the Power Rangers, in the form of the Chimera Ranger, who boasted the powers of three different animals. He overwhelmed all of the Rangers with his sheer power. However, just as he was due to finish off Johnny, Marina stepped forward and revealed the truth. The Chimera Ranger was Johnny's long-lost older brother Luke, who hadn't aged in the 10 years he had been lost.

The 6 Rangers and Jeremy were still staring down the figure who, up until a minute ago, they had known as their greatest enemy, the Chimera Ranger. "I can't believe that after all this time, Johnny's brother would show up and try to kill us.", Trunks commented.

"Believe me, I had no idea who any of you were.", Luke admitted. "I was just told that you needed to be dealt with by any means necessary." He then started walking towards Johnny.

"No!", Johnny called out, pushing himself backwards. "Don't come near me!"

"Johnny, it's me.", Luke pointed out. "It's your brother."

"If your brother, then why did you try to kill me?", Johnny asked. "Why would you work with the Hunters? Why didn't you contact me for 10 years?"

"Okay, I suppose that I should explain what happened.", Luke decided. "That night, when you and I went out into the woods. Eventually, we wandered near that weird cube, when it started to glow. I saw these three weird monsters, that looked like a crocodile, a wolf and a rhino coming towards me. And the next thing I knew, I'd been trapped in a body that was some weird fusion of all three. It tried to attack you, but then that bird man appeared and saved you from… well, me. And as it ran away, I moved to block out the other voices I was hearing to call out for help. But then they overwhelmed my mind and I was trapped in that prison. But after a while, I soon realised that I I could exert some control over the body, or at least, more than the other minds could. My mind was fuzzy, but one thing I remembered clearly was the bird man, who I thought must be responsible for my condition, and that he knew how to fix me. So I made it my purpose to find him."

"Ironic.", Jeremy commented as he stepped forward and removed his DNA cloak, reverting to his Animan form. "I blamed you for what happened to my friends and tried to find you. If only we'd been able to communicate sooner."

"Believe me, I came to realise that you and I were operating under misunderstandings.", Luke explained. "Recently, when I found you fighting with those other animal creatures in the woods, I figured I could get you while you were still weak. But then you overpowered me and started sharing your point of view. When I got free somehow, I decided to try and flee, to try and figure out a way to properly explain my situation, so we could help each other. But while I was doing that, Ignoblia found me and took me to her ship."

Luke thought back to when he was strapped to the table. "Fascinating.", Ignoblia commented as she observed an x-ray, or something similar. "It seems that your DNA has been contaminated by multiple organisms." She then turned towards her patient. "No, don't say anything. I'll make you all better again. Mostly."

And I don't know what happened next, but when I came to after being sedated, I was aware that something had changed. "I feel… different.", I said. "Not strange at all."

"You should.", Ignoblia responded. "I've restored your body to your former self and fixed the damage to your mind. But there's something I want you to give me in return."

I was so happy at the thought of being human, I didn't take long to say "I'll do it. Anything."

"Okay.", Ignoblia explained. "I've implanted knowledge within your head of how to use this device." She then presented the Hunter Morpher. "You will use it to eliminate this group." She then presented the images of the Rangers, fully morphed. "They are keeping us from acquiring the Cubezords we came to this planet to obtain. Everyone we sent down before you has tried and failed to obtain them."

"I understand, Mistress."

Back in the present, Luke finished his story. And after successfully morphing into the Chimera Ranger, I spent time watching you so I could learn how to counter all of your possible moves."

Trunks was the first of the Rangers to speak up after the story had finished. "Of course, I forgot that the transport cube has time bending effects. Just as it placed Johnny and us back on Earth a few minutes after his departure, it also kept Luke from aging while he was merged with the three Animen."

Tora on the other hand was more empathetic. "I understand you felt indebted to Archris and Ignoblia for helping you, but their aims aren't as heroic as you were led to believe."

"Right.", Marina continued. "Archris only wants to take the Cubezords so he can absorb their power and conquer the universe." She then led the other Animen in removing their DNA Cloaks, reverting to normal. "The Cubezords are an important part of the defence of our home planet of Cubalia, and right now, in stopping Archris from ruling the universe."

"You know what I think.", Lenny was next to speak up. "Since you have powers like us, you should help us defeat Archris and his hunters. What do you say to joining us?"

Luke was taken aback by this offer. "Um, I don't know." He then turned towards Johnny. "What about you, Bro? What do you think?"

Johnny was still taken aback. "I-I don't know.", was his answer. "It's not easy learning that not only was your brother you were searching for over half your life was not only right next door, but when we finally do reunite, he tries to kill me. I'm not sure I can cope with you around right now."

Luke seemed sad to hear this, unlike the voice that came through the air. "That's too bad." Archris then appeared, as if from nowhere. "If you don't want him, then I'll simply take him back."

"No!", Luke cried out. "Johnny, help me! Johnny!"

Johnny was reminded of when he'd heard the same words 10 years ago, during that terrible night his life had turned upside down. Only this time, he knew that he could do something. He wasn't a kid anymore, he was a Power Ranger. But as he got up and went to try and help, Ignoblia appeared in front of him. "You don't seem to have listened." She the pulled out a pair of nunchucks, which she fired a laser from the sticks of, knocking Johnny back. "Lord Archris WILL be taking you brother back with us."

With that statement made, both Archris and Ignoblia teleported away, taking their hostage with them. "No!", Johnny cried out, as he pounded the ground. "I almost had him back. And I blew it at the last second."

"Hey, try to look on the bright side.", Lenny pointed out. "At least they can't force him to fight us again."

"Oh yes they can.", Tora interjected. "When I was turned into a Bacteri, they inserted some of their coins into my body to neutralise my mind and turn me into a loyal slave."

"But I was able to break you out of it.", Trunks pointed out. "And we'll do the same for Luke when he appears."

"Right.", Marina nodded, as she went over to comfort Johnny. "Luke's only chance is if we wait, plan and then take him back by force."

Johnny spent another few moments in a forlorn state, before recovering. "You're right. "Let's head back for now. Then we can really prepare a concerted effort." The Rangers all turned and headed back, as Johnny thought. "Keep waiting for me, Bro. Because this time, I'm not going to let you get away again."

Up on the Arrowhead, in a room several floors below the bridge, Archris had Luke, now lacking any clothing on his upper body, chained up and beaten down. "It seems that your will is remarkably strong.", Archris commented. "A lesser being would have thrown themselves into indentured servitude after what you just endured."

"Well I can only assume that those people had nothing to lose.", Luke retorted. "Whereas I've still got something to go back to. My brother is waiting for me, and I won't stop trying to get away from you until I can get back to him."

"I believe you.", Archris stated, as he began to fill his captive's body with a large supply of Bacteri coins, causing him agony. "Which is why I'm not taking any chances. I'll fill you so full of these coins, that you won't even remember having free will to begin with."

Back at the zoo, the Rangers and Jeremy had shared their realisation with Stevie and Sir Caesar. "So Luke comes back after a few years away, and he tries to kill everyone.", Stevie surmised, slightly bitter. "He certainly makes an impactful return."

"This isn't the time to joke.", Jeremy practically squawked at her. "For all we know, Luke could be in danger of death, if Archris decides he has no reason to spare him anymore."

"He wouldn't do that.", Trunks pointed out. "He knows how sentimentally valuable Luke is to Johnny, so he'll want to keep him alive as long as possible. He'll delight in the deviousness of it."

"And I doubt he'll be just a prisoner that time.", Tora added. "Archris can - and probably will - turn him j to a mindless slave to destroy us at the next opportunity."

Johnny then spoke up. "And that's when we'll strike. After Archris sends down the Chimera Ranger tomorrow, we'll take back Luke and then free him."

"Wait a minute.", Sir Caesar spoke up. "Why tomorrow? We don't actually know when the next attack will be."

"The Hunters will want to taunt us with their new toy.", Marina pointed out. "They'll send him out as quickly as possible."

"And when they do, I'm going to bring Luke home in time for Grandma Rose's return.", Johnny added. "But for now, we have to wait."

Back aboard the Arrowhead, Ignoblia addressed Keldor and Cuborg. "While Lord Archris tends to the matter of the Chimera Ranger, we should make sure that the hunt resumes. It's been too long."

"Indeed. The Rangers have made too much progress in acquiring the Cubezords, while we have made so little.", Keldor noted.

"Which is why I've summoned my own warrior.", Cuborg announced. "He will take care of the Cubezord problems."

As if on cue, a red and green alien with a large head, bowling pins attacked to his feet and prominent gold teeth, wielding a pair of maracas that resembled bowling pins, entered the room. "Eh, my friend. I heard you talking about me, but didn't hear my name. Shame on you."

"I was getting to that, Knockout.", Cuborg stated. If he had emotions, Keldor would almost swear he was snarling. "Knockout here is the greatest bowling champion in 30 galaxies, due to his lack of regards for anything other than his targets. It's too bad that most of them have banned him for the excessive damage his bowling inflicts."

"So is simple.", Knockout took over. "I go to Earth, I bowl a few buildings, the Rangers appear and I take their Cubezords. Simple, no?"

"Well I have to admire its simplicity.", was all Ignoblia could offer. "And hey, if it fails, we can send in the Chimera Ranger. So go ahead and attack."

"Okay.", Knockout nodded. "I promise you, you won't regret it." He then turned around and hit the teleport controls, warping down to Earth.

"I think we already do.", Keldor sighed.

Lower on the ship, Archris's work was finished. "Now then, Chimera Ranger. Do you understand your mission?"

"Destroy the Power Rangers and recover the Cubezords.", Luke stated as he stood up. "By your command."

Down on Earth, Knockout had got to work. "Let's start small with a few of these losers." He pressed on his belt buckle, which caused a small group of construction workers to be halted in their tasks, and assembled into a formation resembling bowling pins. "I set 'em up and knock 'em down." He had some Bacteri push him into a forward roll, as he transformed into a ball that sent some, but not all, of the workers flying, much to the distress of the Bacteri. "Man. I am losing my touch.", Knockout realised as he stopped rolling right next to the main workers. "But at least I can go for a spare." He turned and ran back towards the Bacteri, only to be shot in the back.

It was the 5 Rangers, who showed up to start ushering the workers away. "Get to safety. We'll handle this.", Tora told one of the workers, who nodded as they ran off.

"Hey, no fair!", Knockout complained. "I go to all the trouble of setting up these guys, and you Rangers show up to ruin my fun." He then had a realisation. "Hey, you Rangers showed up."

"Yeah, how could we not?", Trunks pointed out. "You knocked over three districts of the city and some 50-something people."

"And you picked a bad time to attack.", Lenny added. "We've been waiting for a Hunter to show up."

"More specifically, we've been waiting for the Chimera Ranger to show up.", Marina clarified. "So we waited for a Hunter to appear so that we could defeat him."

"So let's get to it.", Johnny concluded, as he and the other Rangers pulled their Morphers out. "It's Morphin Time!"

Everyone dialled their numbers and rotated the top of the Morpher to form their emblem. "Primal Spirits, Awaken!" In an instant, all of the Rangers were morphed, and did their roll call.

"Soaring through the skies, Wild Fury Eagle Ranger!"

"Terror of the Deep Seas, Wild Fury Shark Ranger!"

"Ruler of the Jungle, Wild Fury Lion Ranger!"

"Sage of the Plains, Wild Fury Elephant Ranger!"

"Wanderer of the Mountains, Wild Fury Tiger Ranger!"

"Call of the Wild, Power Rangers Wild Fury!"

Knockout wasn't impressed. "Bacteri, kill the heroes!"

And thus, the battle was on. Lenny leapt atop a truck's container, slashing a Bacterus that appeared in front of him, before dealing with two more and leaping off, at the same time Tora leapt off the truck to slash more of them. Marina's own fight with a group of Bacteri went less swimmingly, as one of them picked her up by the knees and tried swinging her around, which she used to take him and his friends out, at the same time Trunks dealt with his group. Finally, Johnny leapt down and joined the others in dealing with the last of the Bacteri. "Man, you'd think they'd have sent Luke at us by now."

"I don't need the Chimera Ranger to win.", Knockout stated as he stepped forward. "I just needed a chance to set you up." He then pressed on his belt buckle again, causing the Rangers and all but one of the remaining Bacteri - who hopped away to one side, to become pins.

"Not good.", Lenny commented as he tried to pull free, to no avail.

Knockout then began to prepare himself. "This'll be a real knockout." But as he ran forward, his attempt at rolling towards them went off with surprisingly little hitch, sending the Rangers and his own grunts flying.

"Finally, I'm free.", Johnny said as he floated through the air. "Primal Mode, Unleash!" He spread out his wings, flying down to slash through Knockout multiple times, sending him flying.

"Wild Slash!" The other 4 Rangers then launched an attack with their Primal Sabers all at once, damaging him further as he fell to the Earth. As Knockout pulled himself up, all of the Bacteri he had sent flying fell down to Earth, with one landing on his head.

"Alright.", let's end this.", Johnny decided as he led the others in reconfiguring their Sabers into Primal Blasters.

"Wild Fury Cube Blast!" They fired their blasts at Knockout and his entourage, surrounding all of them in flames.

"That guy was way too easy.", Trunks realised. "They should've sent the Chimera Ranger out to deal with us for him."

It was then that Ignoblia appeared. "Don't worry, we're going to rectify that." She hen sent her growth coin spinning rough the air into a slot of Knockout's forehead. "A hole in one. Now you can play again."

Knockout returned as a giant, now annoyed. "That's a golf term, stupid lady.", he growled. "But now I can really mess with these buildings."

"Like heck you will.", Johnny declared. "Cubezords, enlarge!"

The Zords soon came together into their strongest formation. "Jungle Beast Megazord, ready!"

"Bear Axe!" Johnny tried swinging their weapon into Knockout's face, but it was blocked by his maracas. A brief fight soon broke out, with the Megazord quickly coming out on top, in spite of its bulk.

"Hey, no fair!", Knockout complained. "I am a breaker, not a fighter. I can not last long out here."

In a hangar aboard the Arrowhead, the Hunter Megazord's components had been assembled, with the brainwashed Luke piloting it. "Don't worry, Knockout. I'll protect you from the Rangers." He then had the Megazord take off, flying down to Earth.

Back on Earth, the Jungle Beast slashed Knockout back once more. "Let's end this!", Marina called out.

"Right.", Johnny nodded as he inserted his Morpher into the control weapon. But before he could, the Cyber Cubezords made their appearance, with the Rhino Zord slamming into the Jungle Beast's legs, causing it to tumble. "Oh now you show up."

"Engaging linkup.", Luke stated as he pressed on his Hunter Morpher three times, before spinning the cube component the whole way around. His three Zords then came together once more. "Integrate, Hunter Megazord!"

"This is our chance.", Johnny stated.

"We can finally bring your brother home, after all these years.", Marina nodded.

Tora was the only one in doubt. "What if we can't bring Luke back from Arcrhris's influence?"

"We can't allow for that possibility.", Trunks informed her.

Lenny took over the conversation. "We either go home with Luke, or we don't go home at all."

In his cockpit, the brainwashed Luke was unimpressed. "Are we going to fight, or are you going to stand there and ponder your purpose in life?"

"Good point.", Johnny responded. "Let's go! Game on!"

"Yeah, go get 'em, big man.", Knockout stated as he hid behind the Hunter Megazord.

"I don't need your sycophancy.", Luke snapped at him, before moving the Hunter in to grapple with the Jungle Beast. "Take this." He spun he wheel controlling the Hunter around, causing it to use its alligator arm to deal a few punches. He then had it knock the axe arm back before ramming the opposing Megazord.

"Ole ole!", Knockout called out. "I shall now go." He then turned and strode off out of the battle. But everyone was too focused on fighting each other to even notice.

"Detachment Attack!" The Aligator and Wolf Zords detached and tried ramming into Jungle Beast, but they were blocked by the Bear Axe.

"I can't stop here.", Johnny stated, as he tried using the control weapon to block the hit. "I've come too far to let this be the end!"

The other 4 then moved to support him. "We're right behind you.", Marina assured him. "We have been since our battle began, and we're not going to stop. Until everything is made right."

The Bear Axe then started to glow. "What?", Luke commented as he observed this.

"Something's happening to the Bear Zord.", Trunks noted.

"I can feel it too.", Tora added. "It's as if our desires are reaching it somehow."

The Bear Axe then knocked the two obstacles aside, before leaping out of its controller's hands, before turning white, and then gold. "It's changed colour!", Lenny called out.

"Interesting.", Luke noted as the now Shining Bear Zord reverted to a cube and landed in one of the Hunter's shoulders, before switching to the other. The effort of doing so weighing the other robot down considerably. "That thing's thrown off my balancing units." Luke then tried to swat the Shining Bear away, but the damage it had dealt meant that all he could do was take attacks. The Zord then returned to its axe form, before landing in the hands of the Jungle Beast.

"Well this is weird.", Johnny decided. "But I can work with this." He then brought the Shining Bear Axe down on the Hunter twice, damaging it further.

"Let's keep at it.", Lenny decided. "We might actually have a chance this time."

"Right.", Marina nodded. "Let's finish him off here."

The Shining Bear Axe then came down on the Hunter a third time. "This can't be.", Luke said as he tried to compose himself. "I might actually lose." He then tried sending his Alligator Arm forward, but the Shining Bear Axe stopped him.

"It's time to end this.", Johnny decided as he inserted his Primal Morpher, after all of his friends had channelled their energy into it, into the control weapon. "I'm not going to leave you behind again." He threw the weapon to Lenny, before leaping out of the Jungle Beast, his armour dissipating as he did so, before landing in the cockpit of the Hunter Megazord. "It's a lot smaller in here."

"What are you doing?", Luke snarled. "Get out!"

"Not without you.", Johnny insisted as he grabbed onto his brother, pulling both of them down to the ground. The two then engaged in a fist fight, with Luke delivering a kick right to his brother's chest.

Both Rangers then pulled themselves up. "Stop trying to save me!", Luke hissed. "The brother you knew is gone, and he's never coming back! And nothing you say will change my mind!" He then transformed. "Super Primal Mode, Unleash!"

As Luke ran in to attack, Johnny ducked out of the way, before grabbing onto his arm. "No. You're coming back with me. Even if I have to drag you kicking and screaming. Just like I used to."

"Just try it.", Luke yelled as he proceeded to launch some close-quarters hits to his enemy. "I'm much stronger than you in either of your two Ranger forms."

As Luke tried charging, Johnny held him back by pushing on his shoulder. "I don't need to defeat you. I just have to get you to stop fighting me. Let me help you, like you wanted." Luke then had a flashback to 10 years ago, when he had called out "Johnny, help me! Johnny!" Back when the creature he had become had first started to take him over. Of all the good times they had shared beforehand, beginning with his brother's birth, to helping him deal with bullies at school, to their travelling to the forest that night to see the Leonid meteor shower, to their reunion recently.

"No!", Luke growled. "It's a lie! I am the Chimera Ranger!" He then proceeded to scratch at and whip Johnny, to try and get him to stop. "Darkness Charge!" While not as powerful as previous uses, it still had force enough to send Johnny flying, and reverting his morph.

The other 4 Rangers then showed up. "Stay back!", Johnny called out. "This is between me and him." He then stumbled towards the Chimera Ranger. "Go on then! I'm defenceless. Destroy me, destroy me and complete your mission." He then summoned his Chain Saber and threw it to his brother. "Heck, I'll even give you an advantage."

"What's he doing?", Trunks asked. "Does he want to be killed?"

"Trust in Johnny.", Tora said. "He knows what he's doing, at least I hope he does."

Luke was also confused by this act, as Ignoblia appeared behind him. "What are you waiting for, my Dear Chimera? This is your best chance to destroy a Ranger. Do it and bring us the Cubezords in his possession."

"No!", Luke cried out as a dark aura, generated by the Bacteri coins within his body manifested. "I won't do it. You can't make me kill my family! Or his friends." The aura then burst into coins that were dispersed by a light that was generated through his willpower."

"He's free.", Lenny realised. "Johnny put him in a position where Luke would be forced to do something he knew he would never want to do, no matter how many alien coins are in his body."

"How disappointing.", Ignoblia decided as she walked forward. "Obviously, some modifications are needed."

"No.", Luke stated as he turned to deliver a punch to her chest, followed by a powerful kick that sent her flying. He then reverted his morph, becoming human once more. "Tell Archris that I'm out. And I won't be back."

Onboard the Arrowhead, Archris had observed this with disappointment. "Ignoblia, let him go for now. The Chimera Ranger is lost to us."

"So be it.", Ignoblia fumed. "But don't think that any of this is over by a long shot." She then activated the teleport, departing the scene.

"So that's it then?", Tora asked. "Luke's back for good."

"Yeah.", Luke said. "I'm back."

Later that night, Stevie was in the middle of escorting Grandma Rose into the zoo house, having driven her home from the airport. "Look Stephanie. I'm not sure what Johnny's up to in there, but I could've drove myself back from the airport. I wouldn't have involved so many 'diversions'."

"I assure you, it'll all be worth it.", Stevie assured her unwitting passenger. "Just step through the door."

Rose did so, and was immediately hit with all 5 Rangers, plus Jeremy and Sir Caesar, bursting from behind a sofa. "Surprise!", they all yelled out.

"Welcome back.", Trunks commented. "Hope you had a good trip."

"Oh, the reunion was alright.", Rose informed them. "Except for that Madeline bragging about how her grandson finally managed to learn to ride a big wheel. Whoop-de-friggin-do." She then noticed something in the corner. "But I'm sensing you have something more interesting to tell me."

Taking the hint, Luke walked out and went over to hug her. "Hi Grandma.", he said, with a solemn tone. "I'm back."

"I did it, Grandma.", Johnny added. "I found him."

Rose's sole response to this was to smile. "Somehow, I knew this would happen one day. Perhaps the spirits were trying to tell me something." She then had Luke sit down. "Now come on, we've got a lot of catching up to do."

As the two spoke, Jeremy decided to, in turn, speak to the 4 Animen Rangers. "Well I'd say we had a good day. We helped Johnny find his lion lost brother, recovered two more of the Zords, along with a new one which I'll be reprogramming to remove his evil side, and your team is one man stronger."

"But on the downside, Archris will be even more ruthless in trying to destroy us.", Marina pointed out. "And likely send down some more tricky foes, like Cuborg. Or the Destructoid."

"Hey, we can't let the future get us down now.", Tora pointed out. "Right now, it's time to party."

"Yeah!", Lenny added as he did a fist pump.

And so, the Rangers and their allies put their worries to one side as they partied the night away, celebrating their recent good fortune.
