Sam and Tommy walked out to the impala to grab a few more supplies. He had been filling them in on bits and pieces of the last year while they waited for Kim to wake up. She was solidly passed out from the injuries and the stress of the last two days. He had had more than enough time to recover from everything Lipretere had done and then some. She had barely had time to process seeing him disappear with Lipretere and knowing how unlikely it was that he would ever return.

"Why didn't you pull her to you?" Sam asked as Tommy let out a sigh. He had tried that at first, but it didn't work. They'd figured out that there wasn't a strong enough want from Kimberly, there wasn't enough longing. He knew that he had enough longing for her to power him just about anywhere he might need to go. But how did he even explain that without sounding desperate?

"I tried. I couldn't pull her to me no matter how bad I wanted it. It was too hard, so I found a way to push myself to her instead. The cracks were bigger to come into this world, it's why Lipretere chose it in the first place," Tommy explained as he scratched the back of his neck, revealing a tattoo on the inside of his bicep that Sam didn't remember from before. Sam stared at the handwriting that was distinctly Kimberly's and gave him a confused look. "This? I may have lost hope a bit over the last year too. Cupid wasn't lying when he said there was nothing to fix with me."

"To…Tommy!" Kim yelled as she flew out of the motel room and he caught her against him as she jumped into his body. "You're alive. You're okay."

"I thought you were going to keep her inside if she woke up," Tommy said as Dean walked out holding the side of his face and Tommy pulled back to look at her a bit more closely. "You clocked him?"

"No one is keeping me from you anymore. No one," Kim said as she buried her face in his neck and inhaled. Her entire body hurt, but knowing that Tommy was with her eased some of the ache. "When do we go back home?"

"Beautiful…we…I…I promise I'll explain, but let's get somewhere safe and let's get you healed up first," Tommy hedged as she locked eyes with him and he gulped as he saw the realization hit her. He wanted to have a chance to ease her into what him being here really meant. "I had to."

"But…I…why?" Kim forced out as Sam and Dean exchanged a glance. How was Tommy figuring out what she wanted from him? Because they were not following her, at all.

"This reunion is great, but he's right. You're beat up enough to draw attention and we don't need attention right now. We just pulled the both of you out of a tornado for the second time in a under a month. Let's not keep testing our luck," Dean reasoned as Tommy gave him a grateful look and he started walking back towards the motel room. Kim was not going to let go of him anytime soon, even if she was exhausted and in pain. Seeing him disappear had broken something in her and he hated that. He hated that he had caused her any more pain, but he was going to make every single bit of it up to her if he was just given the chance.

"Sam, Dean. Can you…" Tommy trailed off as he settled her on the bed and he locked eyes with her. He waited until he heard the door between the rooms close and he squatted down in front of her as he took a good look at all of her injuries. He didn't remember much about what Lipretere had done to her. He hadn't been able to see much of what he did to her. He had really only been able to concentrate on their ultimate goal- defeating Lipretere and getting her home. "Oh baby…I didn't mean for you…"

"Shut up," Kim muttered as she grabbed his shirt and pulled him into her while pressing her lips to his. She felt the shock go through him, but she did not let him pull away from her. She wasn't sure what to say right now, but she knew what she needed to show him. "You stupid man."

"I wasn't leaving you alone. I'd rather be stuck here with you than anywhere else," Tommy whispered as he leaned in and gave her a gentle kiss as he felt the tears start rolling down his face. He had been so scared that he would make it here and she would be dead or that it wouldn't be the right time and one of the brothers would be with her. He doubted that she would have greeted him this way if he had had to kill Sam or Dean. He brushed his hand up her arm and felt her wince in pain. "Shit…I'm…"

"Do not be sorry. This isn't going to last," Kim motioned to her arm as she cupped his cheek and gently wiped away his tears. "I'm so glad I don't have to do life without you."

"Umm…sorry to interrupt," Dean said as he backed into the room and stared straight ahead. "Your algorithm is lighting up like a Christmas tree with stuff nearby- we need to move."

"Okay," Tommy said as he stood up and then pulled Kim to her feet. "Whose clothes…"

"Not now," Dean said as he turned and started ushering them out. "We've got to get the two of you good and off their radar. Fast."

Sioux Falls. Lawrence. Pittsburgh. Reno. Biloxi. The Winchesters had moved them from place to place, but there still seemed to be a beacon around them. Cas refused to answer any of their calls and Crowley had said that it was beyond his pay grade. The King of Hell had bowed out and left them to fend for themselves, which seemed to be parr for the course. Tommy had joined in for any of the fights, but Kim was still recovering from her injuries. They'd seen a doc in a box that quickly diagnosed that her shoulder injury should really require surgery, but there was no time for that. There was no time for anything other than running for their lives.

"Castiel, angel of mine heart and feathered ass butt, get your ass down here," Dean grumbled as they all looked over at him. Sam and Bobby had desperately tried to get in touch with him, but Dean hadn't been willing to try. The evidence on the laptop said that part of what was following them was Angel related, but Dean was finally done.

"You called?" Cas said as he appeared and Dean spun around while the others stared at him.

"We've all called," Sam said as he moved around Dean and slammed Cas into the wall. "And he gives you a sarcastic booty call and you show up?"

"Dean and I have a more profound…connection," Cas hedged as Tommy tapped Sam on the shoulder and he moved out of the way. "Oh- you're still here."

"Yeah with neon signs on them. We have fought Vampires, Djinn, Wraiths, and Banshees since he got back. Crowley has nothing. Every witch, wiccan, and psychic we've contacted looks at them and says it would be easier to just let them die. What do you have in your bag of tricks that'll turn that sign off?" Dean asked as Cas rolled his eyes and Sam jumped to physically restrain Tommy. The eye roll had sent him over the edge.

"There are bigger problems in heaven. You have the situation handled," Cas retorted as Sam lost his grip on Tommy and he then leveled Cas. Sam, Dean, and Bobby stared on in shock as it hit them. There was nothing this close to human that had ever flattened Cas like this. What were the Power Rangers made of? "Well- this may be why everything is after them."

"I'll fight. I'll help if you need me. But us being hunted has to stop," Tommy said as he ground his arm into Cas' throat as Cas struggled to push him away. They watched as Cas panicked, but Tommy held him still. "So again- what can you do?"

"You carved symbols in our ribs- is there something like that?" Dean asked as Cas shook his head as his face turned increasingly red.

"Tommy, let him go. He's definitely not going to help us while you've got him in a chokehold," Kim said as she placed her good hand on his shoulder and he looked back at her before let out a grumble and then pulling away. "Cas- we need something. I…we can't even take time to heal because we're running from town to town and fight to fight. I need to heal."

"I can fix that," Cas said as he touched her side and she screamed as the pain increased and then immediately faded. She stared at Cas with a mixture of terror and thanks on her face. Tommy decked him before he was able to see any of her relief.

"Stop it!" Kim yelled as the two of them had started to tussle and they both froze. "Can you help us or not?"

"I don't know. Your energy had started to fade when he was drawn back. It may just be that you have to ride it out," Cas said as Kim and Tommy locked eyes. That was the one thing that they had not wanted to hear. Kim lost her composure as she hurried out of the room and Tommy let out a curse.

"Cas- this is taking everything we have to keep them safe. We'll take anything," Dean said as Cas stilled before he nodded and then walked after the rangers. They heard Tommy let up a yell and then Kimberly let out a scream before it went silent. "You don't think that he…"

"No idea," Sam said as he sprinted off in the direction the noises had come from and he slid to a stop as he saw both of them collapsed next to each other with Cas hovering over them as he pulled something out of their bodies. "Cas!"

"If their powers are stored externally, they'll be less of a beacon. I'm not quite sure what it will do to them though," Cas said as they stared at him. When they had called on him for help, this was not something that they ever imagined happening. They could guarantee one thing though- Tommy and Kim were going to wake up pissed.

AN: I don't know how much longer FFN is going to hold it together. If you're unaware- there have been all sorts of problems from blank pages showing up to all of our stats being down for about two months. I do intend to publish on here until the site dies- but I want to make sure that my readers are aware that my stories are also on AO3 under the same penname- BrookeSHodges. Just in case the day comes and this website becomes completely unusable- I am trying to let my readers know where else they can find me if they want to keep reading.
