It was the night of Halloween, and every member was eager to, do something Halloweenie.
"Come on Neon, we need you!" Phoenix begs, without her they know they'll lose the competition. "Yeah, like one of us needs to be kid-sized to convince those suckers to hand over the sweets you know?" Jett adds on. "Hoy! I'm not that short!" Neon now fuming, "Jett, you're short as well!". "No, I'm like one of those cool older Asian sisters." Jett hits back using ageism to gain the upper hand. Her choice of a more promiscuous Vampire highlights just how mature she is as well. Phoenix quietly adds "Who tends to be vertically challenged." to solidify his support for the Korean.
"No "cool" person would go trick or treat in their 20s."
"Neon, remember what Gekko said before he could no longer be with us anymore!" Phoenix, covered by a ridiculously large white sheet, tries once more to convince the short agent. "Stop making it sound like he's dead!" Gekko unfortunately could not make it, having caught a cold strong enough to leave him currently bedridden. "I mean, he's not taking part now so if it's just you two against Raze and KJ then it's a fair match?" Neon reasons with the hot-headed duelists, "Yeah but what if they make robot kids or something, that would be so unfair." They fight back all logical reasons thrown at them with their imagination. "Maybe you guys should have written down rules for this race?" The trio now lost in their own little world.
"What's going on here?" Fade walks into the premature heated conversation. Neon blushes at the sight of Fade. Jett swings in between the trio and Fade. "Uh nice try Fade but tonight Neon will be hanging out with us!" Fade just stares at the Korean who seeks candy but now found beef. "And surely you can do with some alone time yeah?" Jett backs off slightly with a slight sweat as those heterochrome eyes burn into her.
But Fade wasn't mad, she just always looked evil and scheming. "Kaptım, have fun, and don't make Sage worry too much with your antics." Fade smirks, knowing the trio would definitely get in some trouble. Just in time, Sage arrives in the room. She's wearing a witch outfit with black and teal color scheme. Her makeup formed to look like stitches that pulled back to a smile on an already happy face. "Ah! You all look so wonderful!" the monk compliments, even the last-minute white sheet was lovely in the eyes of the caring mother. Sage goes on to lecture on safety, not to play pranks nor talk to strangers or just about anything you would expect to do during Halloween.
"Ay Sage, let them have their fun. That is what Halloween is all about." Reyna walks in, calming down the overly attentive Sage from afar. "Of course, if they do get in trouble, we do have the Día de Muertos tomorrow to honor them." Reyna laughs off, Sage huffs and reprimands the Mexican for poor taste in jokes. As the crowd moved away from Neon and Fade and to Reyna's PDA for the Monk, it gave the two some time alone.
"So, uh, what are you doing tonight?" Neon asks the taller agent.
"Well, the guys are thinking about going to a bar to drink and relax." Fade answers, "Maybe after your thing you can come join us, Hayatım.", Neon still couldn't help but get butterflies hearing every nickname Fade had for her. "Is that why you dressed up?", tonight Fade's outfit is different. Wearing a light brown trench coat, the black tie and white dress shirt peeks from the opened part of the trench coat. She looked classy and completely contrasted with the Werewolf outfit Neon is wearing albeit it's just a wolf ear headband, a big pair of paws, and a tail. Still so soft to the touch! "Aşkım, can you guess what I am?" "Sexy stud, wife, sex symbol, coolest person ever, all mine." These words echoed in Neon's mind, staring at her cool girlfriend, she couldn't figure out the answer. Fade pulls out a magnifying glass and zooms into Neon's reddening face "Canim, are you drooling?" the older woman smirks. Breaking Neon out of her trance, "Uh no! I was uh, thinking you dressed up as a detective?" correct. "I don't celebrate this Halloween thing, but Reyna suggested a simple "Detective" outfit would do the trick." "You look great Hazal." Neon confesses and in turn, Fade returns the compliment "You as well Tala, but you look too cute to be scary. More like a little pet." Fade pats the younger woman's head. As more of the agents get dressed and ready, they rendezvous in the lounge room before the departure.
"It's not often you get the whole gang in the same room at the same time!" Phoenix remarks. "Uh mano, you know Gekko, Yoru, Viper and Chamber aren't here, right?" Raze counts out from the crowd. "Right kids, I know some of you are planning to go trick or treating, I'm sure you all know how to behave cus I'm not lecturing you, it'll cut into my leisure time." Brimstone, now also ready to clock out of work and into his study room for more work. "Nah it's cool, Sage already gave us the Health and Safety session earlier." Jett responds. All the younger agents had occupied the plush seatings leaving the older ones to stand around, though the resilient Deadlock had given up her seat to "Oh Deadlock, I know it's quite late, but would you like to join us?" KJ approaches the aloof Norwegian who declines as she would prefer to go workout than inhale sweets. "I do feel quite bad about letting Gekko be by himself while he isn't doing so well…" Sage feels guilty for going out when someone needs her at their most vulnerable. "Relax darling, he's a big boy, he can sleep it off for tonight!" Her Mexican lover tries to comfort her. "Don't wawrry Sage, I'm heah ahren't I? if anythin' 'aypens, I'll take cahah of him." The Australian medic adds in, "Wait I thought you were skipping the whole night cus you need to be up at 4am?" Neon questions. "Well, I'm a light sleepah 'n I can wake up easily if anythin' 'appens. Fahkin' too right, mate." Skye confidently explains "'n Yoru's lurkin' ahround somewhere, it'll be alright guys!".
The younger agents all stand up in unison. Jett and Phoenix now smirking at the smaller opposing team. "Well." Phoenix starts off, "May the best... Halloweener hallo-win?". "Kakaka, right back at you manos!" Raze steps up to the challenge before all of them rush to the door at the same time and get stuck in the process. Neon watches over her teammates' tomfoolery before the presence of Fade brings her back to what's really important. The older woman slightly bends down to peck the Filipina on her check, I'm sure you'll have a good time with them." Her gentle smile reassures Neon's goal to finish the race as soon as possible and get back to Fade. "Reyna I don't think it's wise to drink so much before we get there." Sage tries to calm down the hard drinker. "Actually, knowing how overpriced drinks are at the bar it's a smart move." Fade answers. "So let's drink up to our heart's content ¡vamos gente!" Reyna cheers. As the "kids" went out for their game, the "adults" had their pre-drinks before their night out.
