Arc 1 | First day in a new world

Subaru - What the hell?!
The sun was high in the sky, as if it had stepped back in time. No one around, well, not at the moment, but when it comes to wolves...
? - Kid, hurry up and give us everything you've got if you don't want to suffer.
Subaru - Shame on you for attacking me when Emilia isn't here! I don't have time for you, so goodbye.
The young boy stepped forward to leave and quickly see if Emilia was healthy and safe. He was scared and genuinely worried about her. But a pain shot through his body, similar to the pain he'd felt less than 5 minutes ago but somehow not as bad. Then he collapsed to the ground.
? - Damn it! YOU KILLED HIM!
? - Let's get out of here before the guards arrive.

Subaru - I see...so I can go back to a specific point in time every time I die, a power that's perfect for losers like me and so if I'm not mistaken in 5 seconds they arrive.

Subaru - That's not funny, I said 5 seconds, not 2! Anyway, I'm going to finish quickly this time.

He strikes a pose to shout as loud as he can, the thieves seem confused and have absolutely no idea what the boy is up to, but thanks to the previous loop he knows how to scare them.
Subaru - HELP THE GUARD!
The three thieves suddenly panicked when they realized the boy's plan and tried to threaten him more violently.
? - Don't... don't play that game with us, kid.
? - You're going to suffer, you idiot.
Oh no...my plan has failed. I don't want to suffer, I don't want to die, not again. Please, Emilia, come quickly. If it's like the first loop, I'll need several more minutes.
? - Enough is enough!
A majestic voice, full of kindness, was heard behind Subaru. When he turned around, he saw an elegant-looking young man with red hair.
? - Master swordsman Reinhard van Astrea ?!
The three thieves immediately fled without wasting another second, realizing that they didn't stand a chance against such a powerful knight.
Subaru - Thank you very much, Mr Reinhard.
Reinhard - No need to call me sir, just Reinhard is enough. And you, what's your name?
Subaru - My name is Natsuki Subaru.
Reinhard - Pleased to meet you, do you need help with anything else?
Subaru - Um...YES! I absolutely need you, if you'll help me.
Reinhard - Of course, what do you need?
After discussing a plan with master swordsman Reinhard. They decide to go their separate ways and meet at the fence at the appointed time.
Subaru - Felt should be here soon, then I can see Emilia again.
Then, just as he'd planned, Felt passed by. He had planned to ignore her on the grounds that she was far too fast for him and had no reason at the moment to stop her. And after a few dozen seconds, a young silver-haired half-elf headed for the alleyway.
Emilia - Hello little one, have you seen a thief with my badge around here?
Subaru - I've just seen her pass, do you need help finding her? I know what she looks like.

As usual, Subaru resumes his favorite pose. Raising her finger in the air, her legs spread, she introduces herself by exclaiming.
Subaru - My name is Natsuki Subaru! Eternal ignoramus and broke!
And once again, Emilia laughed, Subaru could have fallen in love with her but noticed that the age difference was too great for him. He was a little disgusted at having become a child, but he told himself he'd be able to live longer with this body.
Subaru - What's your name?
Emilia - My name is Satela.
Subaru - Nice to meet you...Satela?!
He was confused, why was Emilia lying about her name. In fact, he didn't know if her name was Emilia or Satela now. He hadn't noticed that Puck had already appeared and seemed depressed when she said her name was "Satela".
Emilia - By the way, where are your parents?
Subaru - Hmmm, they're a long way from here. Let's stop arguing and quickly head for the thief, so we can talk on the way.

This time, Subaru already knew where the thief was located, but he couldn't go there directly or he might change the loop and derail his plan. So he spent a little more time with Plum, the lost girl from the first loop, and became friends. And then they took a big detour without Emilia noticing.
Subaru - We should be there soon.
He quickly checked his phone to see what time it was; it was almost time for the appointment at the loot house, and he'd told him to expect him if he got there early. Now all that remained was to see if Reinhard had indeed trusted him.
Emilia - It's strange, I can't get my minor spirits to come.
Subaru - Don't worry, I think I know the house where the thief is.
Emilia - Thank you so much for helping me out today. When we're done with all this, I'll have to confess something.
Subaru - HAPPY REINHARD!
Reinhard was already there, and Emilia was surprised to see the master swordsman here.
Reinhard - Good evening Miss Emilia, I didn't expect you to be involved in this badge-stealing business.

Reinhard - Subaru asked me for help and asked me to come here.
Emilia - Subaru? How we were together the whole way and I didn't see Reinhard.

Before she could even finish her sentence, Subaru could see the shadow of a blade close to Emilia. He hadn't expected the murderess to arrive from outside; he thought she'd already be inside.
Subaru - PUCK DEFENSE!
An ice shield forms near Emilia, Reinhard immediately picks up a fairly sturdy branch from the ground and prepares to fight. And a clang of metal sounds as the blade strikes the shield.
? - I wasn't expecting the famous master swordsman Reinhard to be in my dance!
Reinhard - You did well to warn me, Subaru. She's a very dangerous enemy, the entrails hunter: Elsa Granhiert.
Elsa - So, I'm so popular. You flatter me a lot.
The two battled it out, the fight being so epic and a little strange. It's not every day you see a knight fighting with a stick against a crazy woman with entrails. The fight lasted several minutes, during which time the thief and an old guy came out of the loot house to see what all the fuss was about.
Felt - Do you think he'll make it?
Subaru - Don't worry, young lady, I think he can win.
Felt - I'm older than you, you idiot.
Reinhard had disarmed his opponent with a simple stick. Elsa was a little disgusted to see him so powerful. Then she started running at full speed towards Emilia, desperate to kill her.
I had nothing to hand, but I ran towards Emilia and pushed her with all my might. Because of my size, I could easily avoid being disembowelled and jumped to my left. Reinhard arrived in time to prevent Elsa from attacking again. But she managed to escape.
Elsa - I'll take my revenge, until then take care of your insides.
It was finally over, and I was a little afraid I wouldn't be able to do it. Luckily, I had this body. Emilia is safe. Now all I want is...a good night's rest.
Subaru fainted, after all the energy he'd used, all the fear and pain, and because he was just a child, he needed to rest.
After a few minutes, Reinhard had picked up Felt and Rom after she had returned the badge to Emilia. Left alone with Subaru asleep, she wore it and joined Ram.
The Writer's Sanctuary
Greetings! Arc 1 is now over! (Thankfully). Sorry if it's "rushed", I definitely didn't want to stay in this arc, I had no ideas of what to change from important. We're finally going to be able to move on to arc 2, and the changes will be felt from chapter 1!
Thanks for the feedback on the first chapter! I'm thinking of releasing a chapter a week and continuing this fanfic until arc 4 at least (I hope).
This chapter's question: Who will be Subaru's "friends"? I must confess (small spoiler) that I'm not going to make Subaru stay with Emilia, because the objective isn't her. Instead, he'll be making friends with people his own age.
