The Shiganshina District
At the midnight both Asura and Mikasa reached their destination. Carla, the housewife of Dr. Grisha let them stepped inside the house, their arrival immediately capturing Carla's interest. She couldn't help but gaze at Asura, her eyes filled with both intrigue and curiosity. He bore the appearance of a human, but his eyes held a depth and darkness that hinted at a different origin—perhaps from a southern region or even beyond the walls. The thought sent a shiver down Carla's spine, unsettling her as she observed Mikasa closely, her concern growing.
Carla, unable to contain her curiosity any longer, spoke up, her voice laced with worry. "You must be Mikasa, I remember hearing about you from Grisha when he visited your parents. But seeing you here with this... this stranger, it worries me. And your eyes, my dear, they hold such sadness. What happened?"
Mikasa's gaze dropped to the floor, her voice barely above a whisper. "My family... they were killed by traffickers," she managed to say, her words heavy with grief. "And... he saved me from them." She pointed her finger at Asura.
Carla's heart skipped a beat, her hands instinctively flying to her mouth in shock. She hurried towards the young girl and enveloped her in a tight, motherly embrace, tears welling up in her eyes. "Oh, Mikasa, my poor child," she murmured, her voice filled with compassion. "I'm so sorry for your loss. You're safe now."
Asura smiled at this scene as this women reminds him of his wife Durga, he really missed her and his daughter. He wished that he would reunited with them again but unfortunately he ended up her in this world.
Meanwhile, Grisha, exhausted from a long day's work at his clinc, entered the room. He called out to his wife, his voice tinged with weariness. "Carla, my dear, you mentioned we have guests at such a late hour?"
Upon laying eyes on the scene before him—an unfamiliar man seated in a chair, his body cloaked in a black robe, and Mikasa standing there with him—Grisha's exhaustion was instantly replaced by terror. His eyes widened in alarm, his mind racing with questions and concerns.
"Mikasa," he stammered, his voice trembling. "Who is this man? And why did you leave your parents' house at this hour to come with him?"
Mikasa looked up at Grisha, her tear-filled eyes displaying a mix of vulnerability and strength. she replied, her voice quivering. "Traffickers attacked our home, and they killed my parents". Then she looked at the demigod of wrath "Asura here... he saved me. He protected me and killed them with his bare hands"
Grisha's breath caught in his throat, his mind struggling to absorb the weight of Mikasa's words and information his bare hands! He glanced at Asura, the mysterious figure who had entered their house, and a torrent of emotions welled up within him fear, confusion, and a desperate need to understand.
"Who are you?" Grisha demanded, his voice a mixture of concern and suspicion. "And what is your connection to Mikasa? I've never heard a name like Asura before" Grisha also in his mind thinking 'not even during my time in Marley, could this man came out from Marley or any other nation beyond the walls'
Asura, maintaining his calm demeanor, met Grisha's gaze with an intensity that sent a chill down the doctor's spine. His eyes seemed to glow with an otherworldly light, adding to the air of mystery that surrounded him.
The ex guardian general understood the fear and skepticism in the man's voice, the need to protect his family at all costs. Slowly, he rose from his seat, his movements deliberate and measured.
"I understand your concerns, Grisha," Asura replied, his voice steady and measured. "But rest assured, I mean no harm to Mikasa or anyone else here. Basically I'm came from outside this world"
Grisha's eyes widened in disbelief and curiosity at Asura's revelation. He had heard tales of lands beyond the walls when he was in Marley's Ghetto from his father, of foreign nations with their own customs and cultures. His ancestors invaded other lands in the past with the power of Titans before the Great Titan War, which King Karl Fritz did what he did with the Eldians people in Paradise Island and erased their memories about the outside world.
But the idea that Asura hailed from a realm completely separate from their own was beyond anything he could have imagined. Maybe someone figured out his plan with Eren Kruger and this man Asura sent here to for this purpose! Or mayber he was an alien came to conquer their world! many questions that Dr. Yeager's mind wants to know.
"Outside this world?" Carla repeated, here voice tinged with awe and disbelief. "How is that possible? Are there other realms out there, beyond our reach?"
"I am Asura" he replied, his voice carrying a weight of sorrow and determination. "I come from a world beyond your understanding, a realm plagued by darkness and suffering. Mikasa's life was in danger, and I intervened to save her. I have no ill intentions towards your family."
Grisha's brow furrowed, his mind grappling with the enormity of the situation. "You expect me to believe that?" he questioned, his voice tinged with a mix of skepticism and desperation. "How can I trust you, a stranger with unknown origins, to keep her safe?"
Asura's gaze softened, his eyes reflecting a complex blend of emotions. "I have my own reasons, Grisha," he replied, his voice tinged with a hint of sorrow. "Reasons that are tied to a past filled with loss and regret. Mikasa's plight resonated with me, and I could not stand idly by while she faced such danger. I saw in her a strength and resilience that reminded me of someone dear to me, someone I failed to protect."
Grisha's gaze shifted to Mikasa, the young girl who stood there, her eyes filled with a mixture of vulnerability and determination. He felt a surge of conflicting emotions, torn between his desire to shield her from harm and his realization that Asura had indeed saved her life.
"I see," Grisha murmured, his voice softer now. "Your intentions may be shrouded in mystery, Asura, but I can sense your sincerity. For now, I will trust that you mean no harm to Mikasa. But know that I will be watching, and any threat to her or our family will be met with fierce resistance."
Asura nodded solemnly, his eyes reflecting a profound sense of understanding. "I accept the weight of that responsibility, Grisha," he replied, his voice tinged with gratitude. "I will do everything in my power to ensure Mikasa's safety, for she holds a special place in my heart."
Grisha's skepticism began to waver, replaced by a growing sense of empathy for Asura's plight. He understood the pain of loss and the desire to shield loved ones from harm. The weight of responsibility he had felt as a parent suddenly felt amplified in the presence of this enigmatic being.
Suddenly, a young kid with green eyes, the son of Grisha and Carla, hidden behind the bedroom door, eavesdropping on a conversation. His parents were engaged in a discussion with two unexpected visitors who had arrived to their house.
The first visitor was a girl named Mikasa, who appeared to be around the same age as Eren. The second visitor introduced himself as Asura. And the last visitor captured his attention this man looked unique and he never thought he would encounter someone like that.
As Eren listened intently, his mother suddenly noticed his presence and spoke to him in an authoritative tone. "Eren, I thought you were sleeping," she said, mildly surprised at his wakefulness.
His father, on the other hand, looked up and smiled warmly at his son. "It seems you were awake, son, and heard our conversation," he remarked, acknowledging Eren's curiosity.
Realizing that Eren had overheard their discussion, Grisha decided to introduce him to their guests. "Eren, allow me to introduce you to our guests," he said, gesturing towards Mikasa and Asura. Eren stepped forward, his eyes wide with amazement at the sight of the young girl she looked tired and pretty.
The demigod noticed Eren's astonishment, couldn't help but smile. "It's incredible to meet someone from a different world," the Yeager's boy remarked, his voice filled with wonder. Eren, still in awe, nodded in agreement to himself. "I never imagined there were others beyond our borders," he admitted everyone chuckled at his reaction.
Asura then turned to Grisha with a sense of urgency, leaning in closely and speaking in a serious tone. He emphasized the importance of informing the authorities about the murder incident at the Ackerman family's home. "Grisha," he said, "we must contact the authorities immediately. It is crucial that we report this crime."
Grisha listened intently, aware of the gravity of the situation. He nodded in agreement, understanding the need to involve the authorities. However, Asura cautioned him against revealing his own involvement in taking down the traffickers with his bare hands. "Grisha," Asura continued, "we cannot afford to raise any suspicions about me. It's not the right time for my true identity to be revealed. Let the authorities handle the investigation without knowing my involvement."
Grisha took a moment to process Asura's words, realizing the importance of maintaining secrecy. He agreed to Asura's offer, knowing that it was for the best. "You're right, Asura," he replied in a low voice. "I will not mention your involvement to the authorities. We need to focus on ensuring justice for the Ackerman family."
With their plan in place, Grisha instructed Asura to stay hidden in the basement until the investigation by the Military Police and other authorities was complete. Asura nodded, understanding the need for caution. He would remain concealed, allowing the investigation to proceed without any interference.
"Carla please prepare a dinner for us after we are finished and get back to the house" Grisha told his wife and she nodded to him.
Once the investigation concluded, Grisha would arrange for a proper burial for Mr. Ackerman and Miss Ackerman. They intended to provide a solemn and dignified funeral, honoring the memory of the victims. Grisha knew that this was a crucial step in the healing process for the family and the community.
Turning to Mikasa, Grisha shared the plan they had devised. He explained the need for cooperation with the investigators and the importance of discretion regarding Asura's involvement. Mikasa listened attentively, fully comprehending the gravity of the situation and the necessity of keeping Asura's actions a secret.
Nodding in agreement, Mikasa assured Grisha that she would cooperate with the authorities. "I understand Dr. Grisha," she said softly. "I will inform the investigators that I discovered my family and the traffickers already deceased when I arrived. We must be discreet and allow the authorities to carry out their investigation without any distractions."
Eren's voice rose in protest as he questioned the decision to keep Asura's name out of the incident. "Why can't we mention Asura's role in all of this? He played a significant part in taking down those traffickers. It's not fair to keep his actions hidden," he argued passionately.
Grisha listened to his son's words, understanding his frustration and desire for transparency. However, Carla stepped forward, her voice calm but firm. "Eren, we need to be cautious. Asura's true identity and intentions are still unknown to us. We have to prioritize our safety and the safety of Mikasa. Until we have a better understanding of his story, it's best to keep his involvement concealed."
Her words resonated with Grisha and Mikasa, who nodded in agreement. They realized the weight of Carla's words and the need for caution. Asura's actions had undoubtedly saved Mikasa's life, but there was still much they didn't know about him. Revealing his involvement prematurely could potentially put them all in danger.
With a heavy burden on their shoulders, Grisha, Mikasa, and Carla embarked on a delicate path of secrecy and investigations. They cooperated with the authorities, providing them with the necessary information while carefully omitting any mention of Asura's role in the incident.
In the midst of the investigation, they also focused on giving Mr. Ackerman and Miss Ackerman a proper burial. The funeral was held with solemnity and dignity, paying tribute to the lives that were tragically taken. It provided closure for the grieving family and a moment of reflection for the community.
Several days
After that, the investigation proceeded. The authorities worked diligently to uncover the truth behind the murders at the Ackerman family's home. Grisha, Mikasa, and Carla kept their composure, answering questions truthfully while ensuring that Asura's actions remained hidden.
As time passed, they began to gain a better understanding of Asura. They discovered his intentions were noble, driven by a desire to protect Mikasa. Their trust in him grew, but they still believed it was crucial to wait for the right moment before revealing his involvement to the authorities.
During dinner, Grisha turned to Asura and asked, "Would you be willing to share your story with us?"
Mikasa, sitting beside her savior, leaned in and added, "I'm also curious. I want to know more about you."
Eren, his eyes sparkling with excitement, exclaimed, "Yeah, Asura! I can't wait to hear your story!"
Carla, as usual, remained silent, but deep inside, she was burning with curiosity. She wanted to know more about Asura too.
Before Asura could respond, he raised a question of his own. "I'm curious about your world. Why do humans live inside these huge walls? What's the reason behind it?"
Grisha took a dramatic pause, his voice filled with solemnity. "Titans, Asura. They brought humanity to the brink of extinction. They devoured humans without reason, leaving only a few survivors. We built these walls to protect ourselves. Until now, we don't know if there are any other humans living outside these walls."
Eren's voice trembled with frustration. "It's like being trapped in a cage, Father! I want to see what lies beyond these walls, just like Armin showed me in his books."
Asura locked eyes with the young boy, his gaze filled with an otherworldly wisdom. "There are humans living outside this place Eren, I can sense them from far away."
Eren, Mikasa, and Carla were shocked by Asura's revelation, while Grisha's face contorted with fear. He had always feared that Asura's assumptions might be true.
Grisha's mind raced with troubled thoughts. 'This man could be a spy from Marley! How the hell does he know there are people outside the walls?' pondered, his worry and hesitation evident on his face.
Asura, perceptive as ever, noticed Grisha's nervousness. He calmly stated, "I also sense a power within you that surpasses ordinary humans."
Grisha, his voice filled with concern, asked, "What does that mean?"
Suddenly, Asura stood up and grabbed Grisha by his collar, shocking everyone at the table. The room fell into an uneasy silence as Asura's grip tightened.
"Don't fool me, Grisha!" Asura's voice dripped with intensity. "While I was hidden in the basement, I read everything!"
Grisha's eyes started to well up with tears, his emotions overwhelming him. With a trembling voice, he relented, "Okay, I'll tell you my secrets."
Carla couldn't believe what she had just witnessed. Her voice quivered with worry as she pleaded, "What have you been hiding from us, my dear? Please, tell us."
Eren and Mikasa, equally bewildered, leaned in, their eyes fixated on Grisha, waiting for the truth to unfold.
Grisha, overcome with the weight of his hidden truths, began to reveal the secrets that lay within the walls. He spoke of the power of the Titan shifters and the origin of Ymir Fritz, explaining that every Eldian inside the walls was a subject of Ymir. He delved further into his own personal history, recounting his family's life in Liberio and their struggle against the oppression of Marley.
He revealed that he had been married to a woman named Diana, a revelation that shocked Carla. But the bombshell was yet to come — they had a son named Zeke. Eren couldn't believe that he had an older brother.
Grisha continued, revealing the heartbreaking betrayal of Zeke. He explained that he, Diana, and other Eldians had formed a movement to liberate their people from the tyranny of Marley. However, Zeke had turned against them, leading to their capture, torture, and eventual exile to Paradise Island, where they were transformed into Titans.
Eren's voice trembled with disbelief. "So, these Titans were once humans?" he asked, seeking confirmation from his father.
Grisha nodded solemnly, confirming Eren's suspicions. He went on to explain that their salvation had come in the form of a man known as the Owl, who had secretly led the movement. Grisha revealed the identity of the Owl, his name — Eren Kruger.
Mikasa looked at Eren, a glimmer of understanding in her eyes. "No wonder your father named you Eren after his savior," she said softly. She turned to Asura and added with a smile, "If I have a son in the future, I'll name him Asura."
Asura, touched by her words, gently rubbed Mikasa's hair in a fatherly manner.
Grisha continued, sharing that Kruger was a Titan shifter known as the Attack Titan. He had entrusted Grisha with a mission — to steal the Founding Titan from the Royal Family.
Asura's eyes blazed with fury as he confronted Grisha. "Why would Eren Kruger want you to steal the power of the Founding Titan from the Royal Family?" he seethed, his voice laced with anger.
Grisha's face was etched with remorse, his voice heavy with the weight of his past actions. "Listen, Asura," he began, "King Karl Fritz, the ruler of the Walls, desired peace above all else. He was overwhelmed with guilt for the crimes committed by our Eldian ancestors against other nations, particularly Marley. In an attempt to atone for those sins, he gathered a group of Eldians and used the power of the Titans to construct the walls around Paradis. To ensure everlasting peace, he erased their memories."
Asura's anger intensified as he listened to the explanation. His fists clenched, and he declared with determination, "If I were there, I would have killed that stupid king for his actions against his people! He had no right to take away their freedom!"
Mikasa, standing by Asura's side, observed him with a small smile playing on her lips. She admired his noble spirit and couldn't help but speak up. "You're a truly honorable man, Asura," she praised, her voice filled with genuine respect.
Asura's fury gradually subsided as he met Mikasa's gaze, her words resonating within him. He returned her smile, a flicker of gratitude in his eyes.
"I agree with Asura, we Eldians must fight to achieve our freedom!" Eren too shared Asura's anger, realizing the extent to which the king had been preventing the freedom of the Eldians within the walls. Carla, concerned for her son's tumultuous emotions, stepped forward, attempting to calm him down.
Taking a deep breath, Grisha locked eyes with Asura, his gaze filled with a mix of urgency and determination. "If you're willing to help me in my mission," he began, his voice serious, "You must first share your own backstory with us. There are secrets and revelations that we need to know."
Asura let out a sigh, his anger dissipating as he recognized the gravity of the situation. He nodded, acknowledging Grisha's request. "Okay, I'll tell you my story" he agreed, ready to delve into the depths of his own tale and uncover the truths that awaited him.
Asura's eyes flickered with a mix of sorrow and anger as he began to recount his tale. "Long ago, in a world where humans revered the Guardian Generals as powerful beings, I too was one of them. We fought valiantly against the Gohma, a menacing force created by Vlitra, a hostile spirit."
Carla, her voice filled with empathy, interjected, "And what role did the humans play in all of this?"
Asura's gaze softened as he replied, "The humans' worship fueled us, granting us a potent energy known as 'Mantra.' But our commander Deus, grew fearful of Vlitra's return. He devised a plan to harness more power by using my daughter, Mithra, a priestess, as a vessel for the Mantra." he gritted his teeth remembering the incident.
Eren's eyes widened with disbelief. "So they framed you for a crime and killed your wife, Durga?"
Asura's voice quivered with anguish as he nodded. "Yes, they accused me unjustly and took everything from me. Deus, consumed by his ambition, killed me, but in some miraculous twist of fate, I managed to escape after enduring 12,000 years of torment." Everyone in the room except the demigod were stunned after hearing the last sentence, this unimaginable.
Mikasa's grip tightened around her utensils as she asked, her voice filled with determination, "And what did you find upon your return?"
Asura's eyes burned with wrath as he continued, "I discovered that the once noble Guardian Generals had transformed into the Seven Deities. They were no longer protectors of humanity; instead, they were mercilessly slaughtering innocent humans, draining them of their precious Mantra."
A heavy silence settled over the room as Asura's tale sank in. The weight of his grief and fury hung palpably in the air. Eren, his voice tinged with awe, finally broke the silence. "So, you defied death itself, time and time again, to exact your revenge on each of the Seven Deities?"
Asura's expression hardened, his fists clenched. "Yes, driven by an unyielding rage, I refused to succumb to death's embrace. I fought relentlessly, defying all odds, until I could finally bring retribution upon those who had wronged me and taken everything I held dear."
The room fell into a contemplative silence as the gravity of Asura's journey settled upon them. They had witnessed the depths of his anguish and the fire of his vengeance. And as they sat there, surrounded by the echoes of his story, they couldn't help but feel a profound kinship with this demigod who had endured so much.
Asura continued his story to them as his voice quivered with emotion as he recounted his descent into anger and despair. "My anger consumed me," he began, his eyes reflecting the pain of his past. "I transformed into a mindless demon, driven solely by the desire for revenge."
The group listened intently, drawn into Asura's tale as he described the fateful encounter with Olga, Deus's second-in-command. "Olga attempted to kill me using the Karma Fortress," Asura explained, his voice tinged with bitterness. "She believed that by eliminating me, she could bring an end to the chaos."
"But then, something unexpected happened," Asura continued, a glimmer of hope in his eyes. "Yasha, witnessing Mithra's suffering and the misuse of human lives, defected from the Seven Deities. He realized that there was more at stake than blind loyalty."
Grisha cut him off and asked "I'm sorry to interrupt you, but who is Yasha?!".
"Yasha is my wife's brother" Asura replied simply. The tension in the room grew as Asura reached the climax of his story. "Yasha damaged the Karma Fortress, restoring my sanity," Asura revealed. "Together, we joined forces to defeat Deus and rescue Mithra, who had been held captive all this time."
"Just as we succeeded," Asura's voice grew more resolute, "Vlitra, the creator of the Gohma, awakened. It was a monstrous force that threatened to destroy everything in its path."
"Mithra, channeling the stored Mantra, empowered us," Asura continued, his voice filled with determination. "With Yasha by my side, we faced Vlitra head-on, destroying its core and eliminating the Gohma once and for all."
"But our victory was short-lived," Asura's voice turned somber. "Olga, consumed by rage, attempted to kill Mithra. It was then that the truth was revealed."
"The Golden Spider, Chakravartin, the very creator of the universe, intervened," Asura revealed, his voice heavy with the weight of the revelation. "He killed Olga and kidnapped Mithra, explaining that he had orchestrated the conflict to find a worthy god to rule Gaea."
"In an act of selflessness, Yasha sacrificed himself to empower me," Asura's voice trembled with both grief and gratitude. "With the Karma Fortress's Mantra Reactor, I confronted Chakravartin, knowing that it would drain all Mantra from the universe, including my own life force."
Asura's eyes met Mithra's, as he recalled their final moments together. "I bid farewell to Mithra, knowing that I had to save the world, even if it meant my own demise. And as I vanquished Chakravartin, the universe was left devoid of Mantra."
"Mithra returned to Gaea, where she shared my tale with the humans," Asura concluded, his voice filled with a mix of sadness and hope. "And though I vanished, my legacy lived on, forever etched in the hearts of those who heard my story."
Silence enveloped the room as Grisha, Carla, Mikasa, and Eren processed the magnitude of Asura's journey. They couldn't believe that someone could defy the creator of his universe and defeated him just to save his daughter!
Grisha eyes filled with unwavering determination, he approached Asura with a glimmer of hope resonating in his voice. "Asura, I believe in your extraordinary story, and I am truly sorry for the immense suffering and loss you have endured. In my eyes, you are a true hero," the doctor said earnestly, his words carrying the weight of his conviction.
With every fiber of his being, Grisha implored the demigod for assistance. "Can you, Asura, lend us your strength? Can you save the lives of the Eldians residing within the towering walls, shielding them from the relentless onslaught of the Titans? Moreover, what about our fellow Eldians, trapped under the oppressive rule of Marley? Can you free them from their torment?"
Asura, the demigod of wrath, listened intently to Grisha's impassioned plea. He comprehended the immense responsibility that rested upon his shoulders, aware of the dire circumstances that demanded his intervention. Memories of his previous life in Gaia, where mortals faced the threat of Ghoma, resonated within him, reinforcing the importance of protecting innocent lives.
Contemplating the gravity of the situation, Asura immersed himself in deep thought before finally arriving at a resolute decision. "Very well, I shall aid you," he declared, his voice exuding a sense of unwavering determination. "However, before I embark on this perilous journey, I must be fully aware of the nature and extent of the mission you seek my assistance with."
Grisha nodded, grateful for Asura's willingness to undertake this arduous endeavor. "My secret mission revolves around reclaiming the Founding Titan's power. In order to achieve this, we must uncover the whereabouts of the true Royal family," he explained with utmost clarity. "As you may already know, I am the current holder of the Attack Titan, which means I must consume the one who possesses the Founding Titan's might."
Asura absorbed Grisha's words, cognizant of the significance and urgency of their shared mission. With their destinies intertwined, the demigod prepared himself to unleash his wrath upon the forces that threatened the Eldians, forging a path towards liberation and redemption.
"I understand, Grisha, but I'm curious to test your power firsthand. How about a friendly spar between us?" Asura's lips curled into a smirk as he observed Grisha's nervous anticipation. While Asura was well aware that Grisha won't stood little chance against him, he just was eager to gauge the extent of his opponent's strength.
Eren's eyes lit up with excitement as he chimed in, "That sounds awesome! I'd love to see that!" Carla and Mikasa shared a chuckle at Eren's enthusiastic response.
Grisha let out a sigh, accompanied by a warm smile. "It seems you and Asura have a lot in common, my son," he remarked. Then, turning to face Asura, he added, a hint of reluctance in his voice, "However, I have a favor to ask until I uncover the location of the founder. I need you to remain hidden from the public eye. You'll have to stay in the house, and I'll set up a bed for you in the basement."
Asura's brow furrowed, and a flicker of concern flashed across his face. The thought of being confined and concealed, particularly in a basement, didn't sit well with him. Yet, as he met Mikasa's desperate gaze, a plea for cooperation, he found himself reluctantly swayed. With a heavy sigh, he turned back to Grisha, a mix of uncertainty and reluctant acceptance in his eyes. "Fine," Asura conceded, his voice tinged with resignation. "I'll do it. But don't keep me waiting indefinitely. I won't hide forever."
Relief washed over everyone in the room as they realized that Asura had agreed to assist them. Grisha nodded solemnly, his eyes conveying a sense of understanding. "Believe me, Asura, it won't take long. I've to find the answers I seek soon enough. But please, understand the risks involved. If anyone discovers your presence, Carla, Eren, Mikasa and I will bear the consequences."
Asura's expression hardened, his red aura glowing as his eyes turned a deep shade of crimson. The atmosphere in the room became heavy, a palpable tension settling upon them all. Everyone was taken aback by the sudden change in Asura's demeanor.
Asura himself realized the intensity of the moment, and he quickly regained control of his emotions. He took a deep breath, his voice calm yet filled with a chilling determination. "I understand," he said, his words cutting through the silence. "But let it be known that if anyone dares to threaten Mikasa or anyone of you, I will show them no mercy. I will eliminate them without hesitation."
Silence enveloped the room, the weight of Asura's words hanging in the air. Grisha, Carla, Eren, and Mikasa exchanged glances, a mix of awe and concern in their eyes. They had known Asura for a couple of days, but this was the first time they had witnessed the full extent of his power and resolve.
Grisha placed a reassuring hand on Asura's shoulder, his touch conveying a profound gratitude. "Asura, I can't express in words how much your loyalty and strength mean to us," he sincerely expressed.
With a determined nod, Asura's lips curled into a faint smile. "Rest assured, I won't disappoint you," he responded, his voice filled with unwavering determination.
Unbeknownst to them, Mikasa had been listening in on their conversation, her emotions finally overwhelming her. Tears cascaded down her face as she approached Asura, enveloping him in a tight embrace. Deep down, she knew he possessed a strength unmatched by titans or any force in this world. However, the thought of losing him, her newfound family, terrified her to the core.
Asura, burdened by his own troubles, felt the weight of her sorrow pressing against him. Yet, amidst it all, he found solace in comforting her. Returning the embrace, he whispered soothing words, promising, "You'll never be alone. I won't leave you or anyone else."
Though engulfed in inner turmoil, Asura's smile brought a glimmer of hope to Mikasa's teary eyes. Tenderly, he wiped away her tears, encouraging her to smile. Witnessing her tear-streaked face transform into a hopeful expression filled Asura with a profound sense of purpose.
Eren's eyes welled up with empathy as he witnessed the heartbreaking scene, his heart aching for Mikasa. Determined to offer her kind of comfort, he hurriedly retrieved his beloved red scarf, a symbol of their enduring bond. With gentle hands, he carefully draped it over her shoulders, the warmth of the fabric comforting her in its embrace.
Mikasa's breath caught in her throat as she registered Eren's unexpected act of kindness. Tear-filled eyes met his, a mix of gratitude and disbelief reflecting in their depths. A soft smile emerged on her lips, mirroring the swell of emotions within her. Words failed her in that moment, but the gratitude pulsating through her being was evident in the silent exchange of glances. "Thank you, Eren," she whispered, her voice trembling with sincere appreciation.
Grisha, observing the unfolding scene, felt a surge of pride welling up within him. He marveled at the transformation he witnessed in his son, the blossoming of compassion and empathy that had taken root. Approaching Eren, he placed a supportive hand on the young man's shoulder, his voice brimming with warmth and admiration. "You have become an extraordinary young man, Eren. I couldn't be prouder."
Carla, Eren's mother, joined the small gathering, her eyes shimmering with unbridled joy. She enveloped Eren in a tight embrace, her love for her son radiating from every fiber of her being. "My dear Eren, your heart is pure gold," she whispered, her voice quivering with overwhelming emotion.
Asura, who had silently observed the entire exchange, was deeply moved by the profoundness of Eren's selfless act. His eyes brimming with seriousness and determination, he approached the two youngsters, enveloping them in a protective embrace that mirrored a father's love. His voice resonated with unwavering resolve as he addressed Grisha and Carla. "Grisha, Carla, I swear to you both that I shall safeguard Eren and Mikasa with every fiber of my being. I will not allow history to repeat itself. They have become like a son and daughter to me, and I'll ensure their safety even it would cost me my life!".
Grisha and Carla exchanged heartfelt glances, their souls touched by the depth of Asura's commitment. Their voices filled with gratitude, they expressed their sincere appreciation for his unwavering devotion and love for their children.
Caught up in the emotions of the moment, Eren gazed at his father with a mixture of awe and amusement, a mischievous smile playing on his lips. "Well, looks like I have two dads now," he exclaimed, his words tinged with playful humor. Laughter reverberated throughout the room, a fleeting moment of lightness amidst the weight of their shared responsibilities.
Year 845
As the sun began its descent, casting a warm golden glow over the landscape, Eren, Mikasa, and Armin gathered outside their house, their gazes fixed upon the towering Wall Maria. They had spent countless evenings like this, sharing stories and dreams beneath the fading light.
Armin, ever the eager adventurer, held up his book with excitement. "Guys, you won't believe what I've discovered," he exclaimed, his voice filled with anticipation. "Within these pages lie tales of the vast ocean, fiery volcanoes, and breathtaking landscapes beyond the walls!"
However, to Armin's surprise, both Mikasa and Eren wore expressions of indifference. Eren sighed, his gaze drifting towards the distant horizon. "Armin, you don't understand. My father, already told me about all of this. He knew about the ocean, the volcanoes... everything."
Confusion painted Armin's face as he turned to Mikasa, seeking clarification. "Mikasa, what does Eren means? How could his father have known all this and why you guys why didn't tell me that before?" he asked, his voice laced with curiosity and astonishment.
The Ackerman girl looked at Eren and he nodded to her as they trusted Armin to told him their big secret. Mikasa eyes tracing the lines etched on the ground. "Armin, there's someone else," she finally spoke, Mikasa smiled when Asura came in her mind, she wants to intorduce him to Armin, but later."Someone who also know about this world and other things beyond our imagination and we didn't mention it to you, someone who holds secrets of his own."
Armin's eyes widened with intrigue. "Who is this person? Why haven't we heard of him before?" he questioned, his mind racing with possibilities.
"Later Armin, we will introduce you to him" then Eren's gaze met Armin's, his voice filled with a strange mix of determination and uncertainty. "Armin... there's so much more to our world than we've been led to believe," he confessed, his words hanging in the air. "And together, we'll uncover the truth, no matter the cost."
Armin looked at his friends with surprise then he closed his eyes smiled at them and nodded in understanding. He was glad that his best friends hold the same thoughts and determination he has. The blonde boy was excited to meet the person that Mikasa mentioned it seems he and Dr Grisha knew a alot about their world but he didn't understand why the hide these informations from the public
'The government inside the walls follows a repressive policy towards anyone who talks about the world outside the walls or the idea of the existence of humanity behind the walls that's why my parents were died when they used that blimp' Arimn closed his eyes when he remembered what happened to his parents and why the authorities prevent anyone to figure out what is beyond these walls the cage as Eren said!' Armin's thoughts were abruptly interrupted by a deafening explosion that resonated beyond the towering walls of Maria. His eyes widened in disbelief as a colossal hand emerged, dwarfing the walls themselves. "It... it can't be them," Armin muttered, his voice trembling with fear and worry.
Eren's expression grew grave as he locked eyes with Armin, his voice barely above a whisper. "Armin, it's one of the Titan Shifters," he revealed, his knowledge rooted in his father's words. "That... that's the Colossal Titan, as father had told me." he added, his voice tinged with a mix of dread and familiarity.
Armin's eyes darted between Eren and the emerging Titan, his mind struggling to comprehend the gravity of the situation. "WHAT! a Titan shifter… it looks like your father knew lot about Titans beside the outside world and he didn't not disclose this to anyone"he stammered, his voice filled with urgency.
Before Eren could respond, Mikasa's voice sliced through the chaos. "No time for explanations, we need to get back to the house," she urged, her voice laced with concern. Her mind raced, thinking of her adoptive father Asura, who had disappeared alongside Dr. Grisha after discovering the secret meeting place of the real Royal family in a basement located far away from anybody as Dr Grisha told them before going out with Asura, so they can take the founding Titan from the King of the Walls.
As Mikasa pondered their next move, the colossal Titan unleashed a devastating kick against the wall. The impact sent shockwaves rippling through the Shiganshina district, hurling people into the air and causing chaos to erupt in the streets. Rocks and boulders rained down, obliterating houses and sending terrified civilians scrambling for safety.
Eren's heart pounded in his chest as he spotted a colossal boulder hurtling toward their house. Panic flooded his voice as he shouted to his friends, "We need to get home immediately! I hope my mother is safe!"
The trio sprinted through the chaotic streets, their hearts pounding in their chests, their minds clouded with worry and determination. The fate of their loved ones, and the mysteries of the Titans were all entwined in this moment of chaos, propelling them toward a future fraught with danger and sacrifice.
In the meantime
Asura found himself seated beside Grisha in the rustic cart, both journeying toward Wall Rose. The wheels of the cart clattered against the rocky path, sounding like a rhythmic drumbeat before the sunset Asura, swathed in an enigmatic black cloak that shrouded his entire form, relished the feeling of liberation that coursed through him. The confines of Grisha's house had become too stifling, and the open air was a balm to his restless spirit.
The cloak fluttered slightly in the cool air breeze, the black fabric absorbing the sun shine. Asura's eyes were filled with determination yet held a hint of relief. He felt like a caged bird that had finally been set free.
Grisha, his face etched with lines of deep thought, broke the silence. "I've discovered the location of the Royal Family," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. He was referring to the Reiss family, a name that commanded a mixture of respect and fear. "They have been hiding in their own church, a sanctuary that has served them for generations."
His eyes flickered to Asura, the flickering sunlight casting long shadows on his face. "One of them, a member of the Reiss family, holds the power of the Founder," he added.
Asura nodded, acknowledging the gravity of Grisha's words. He knew the significance of this information and the dangers it entailed. Yet, he managed to wish Grisha with a steady voice, "May your mission find success."
The cart clattered on, carrying the two companions and their shared secrets further into their destination.
As they continued toward their destination, Asura's focus wavered. His eyes darted to the path they had left behind, an uneasy feeling gnawing at him. Grisha noticed the shift in Asura's demeanor and turned to him with a concerned frown. "Asura, you seem troubled. Is everything alright?" he questioned.
Asura's gaze met Grisha's, his eyes hardened with determination and worry. "Grisha, we need to return to Shiganshina. I sense an imminent attack there... it could be the Titans," he said, his voice firm yet laced with an undercurrent of urgency.
Grisha's expression morphed into one of shock at these words. "What the hell?" he muttered, pulling the reins and bringing the horses to a halt. "Are you certain, Asura?" he asked, his eyes wide with disbelief.
Asura removed his cloak, revealing his usual uniform ready form beneath. He locked eyes with Grisha, his voice steady, "Yes, I am certain. Your family, Mikasa... they could be in danger." His fists tightened, his knuckles turning reddish with aura from the strength of his grip.
Grisha's face hardened, his worry replaced with solemn resolve. "Asura, if I don't make it back..." his voice trailed off for a split second, then he continued, "please, take care of my family."
Asura was taken aback by Grisha's request. Memories of Yasha in their last moments flooded back to him, making his chest heavy. He extended his clenched fist towards Grisha, a silent promise. "I will, Grisha. Good luck with your mission," he said.
Grisha managed a small smile despite the circumstances. He bumped his fist against Asura's in a show of camaraderie. "We may have missed our spar, but I have no doubt about your abilities," he said, his voice filled with respect.
Asura chuckled in response. "I'm looking forward to it," he replied. Then, with a burst of speed that nearly knocked Grisha off the cart, Asura dashed back towards Shiganshina. Grisha could only gape, stunned. He had heard about Asura's speed from Mikasa, but witnessing it firsthand was something else entirely.
With that, Grisha returned to the cart and set his horses back in motion, continuing his journey to the Reiss Chapel. His heart was heavy but his resolve was stronger. He had a mission to complete, and he wouldn't let anything stand in his way.
