Hello! Here's your scheduled update :3

Oh, and, there's a very obvious reference to something very popular. You should have no trouble finding it. In fact, it's already been referenced in this fic (chap 4).

Chapter 9: Stupidly Visiting the Ground for Awhile

"Prism! I need help!" I cried, pounding on the door of her hut.

"Go away!" She shouted back. "I still haven't forgiven you, you know!"

"I'm sorry, but it wasn't my fault!" I tried to explain. "Let me in!"

"This is all your fault!" Prism yelled. "Leave me alone!"

"I don't have much time!" I screamed, clawing at the door.

Suddenly the door clicked up and I fell down at Prism's feet.

"Wow, that was really dramatic," she said. "You've been getting better."

"Thanks, I guess," I said, standing back up.

"So, what did you want again?" Prism asked.

"Eye-drops," I answered.

"Hmmm… I'll go find some more… for your chaos emerald," Prism said.

"Prism!" I protested. "Shadow gave it to me!"

"Yeah, and you probably deserve it," Prism said, sitting down on her bed. "You are an Ultimate LifeForm, after all."

"Uh," I said, confused by her sudden change in mood.

"Buuuuuuuuut," she said. "I still want it."

I rolled my eyes.

"Can't you just tell me how to make the eye-drops?" I asked.

"And lose my business? Never," Prism said.

"Then how am I going to hide my eyes?" I asked.

"Well, I, personally, like them," Prism said, "but I guess I could go down to the surface and get some more.'

"Uh, could you do it, like, really soon?" I asked.

"Hmm… I dunno," Prism said.

"Please!" I begged.

"But it's so scary down there with that kidnapper on the loose!" Prism said, pretending to be frightened.

"If you're so scared, I can go with you," I suggested.

"Huh, that's a good idea," Prism realized.

"Wow, actually, that does sound like a good idea," I said.

"I mean, it's not like we'd be sneaking away behind Shadow's back or anything," Prism said.

"Yeah," I agreed.

So, right then and there, we got up and walked to the edge of Angel Island.

"Is it a little late to be going out?" I asked, noticing the sunset.

"I'm a bat. I'm nocturnal. This is justified," Prism answered.

"I'm not nocturnal," I pointed.

"You have night vision for a reason," Prism said. "Stop trying to ruin this."

"Sorry," I said.

Prism held me around my back and we jumped off. Prism flapped her wings to make sure we didn't fall too fast.

We landed on what appeared to be a highway in the middle of nowhere. It seemed to be abandoned for now.

I felt a pain in my head and winced.

"Are you OK?" Prism asked. "Did I fall too fast?"

"I'm fine," I said. "Let's go get the eye-drops."

I took a step forward, and everything flashed in white.

When my sight returned, we were standing in a pile of rubble. Disorientated from the sudden change, I lost balance and sat down hard.

"Hello?" a voice asked.

"Hi!" Prism answered.

"I need help," the voice said.

I looked up and saw a tall guy with a split face. One side was black with a red eye and the other was white with a green eye.

"What sorta help?" Prism asked.

"My friend is stuck," he answered.

"OK… where is he?" I asked, standing up.

"Over here," he answered, pointing at a large piece of concrete.

His friend must be stuck under it.

"Ranboo!" someone called. "Ranboo, we're back with Techno!"

"Who's with you?" another person asked.

I turned and saw two people. I gasped.

"Tommy? Wilbur? What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Uh, this is practically where we live," Tommy said.

"But- this is all rubble, and-" I stammered.

"Someone blew up the lab," Techno said bluntly. "Now where's Phil?"

"Over here," the guy with the split face said.

Techno walked over and threw the large piece of concrete several feet away. I blinked at his strength.

"Phil!" he gasped.

"Is he OK?" I asked.

Phil, Tommy, Techno, and Wilbur were like my family at the lab. I didn't want them to be hurt.

"He's unconscious and has several broken bones," Techno answered.

"Will he get better?" the split-face guy asked.

"With time," Techno answered.

"Excuse me!" Prism shouted. "Explanations please?"

"Yeah, who's that?" I asked, pointing at the split-face guy.

"That's Ranboo," Techno answered, picking up Phil. "I'm surprised you haven't seen him before."

"He was another one of the experiments," Wilbur explained.

"OK," I said. "Everyone, this is Prism. Prism, this is Techno and Phil, Wilbur, Tommy, and Ranboo."

"Oh, you're her lab friends," Prism said.

"And who are you?" Tommy asked.

"I'm Prism, silly!" Prism said.

Tommy glared.

"Nocny and I go waaaay back," Prism continued, swinging her arm over my shoulders.

"Really?" Techno asked.

"Sure!" Prism answered.

"Uh, should we maybe get Phil help?" Ranboo asked.

"Wilbur, take us to your house," Techno ordered.

"Prism and I have got to go," I said, "but I hope Phil gets better soon."

Soon everyone but Prism and I had disappeared into the surrounding wood.

"I'm in shock," I said.

"How do you know?" Prism asked.

"I don't know what it's like, so I'm just guessing," I answered. "What I mean is, I have a lot of events to process."

"Oh, like the lab you grew up in being blown to bits, your friend being unconscious, and the teleportation?" Prism asked.

"Yes, exactly, actually," I said.

"Yeah, why'd you teleport us in the first place?" Prism asked.

"I didn't," I said. "Not purposely, anyway."

"Weird," Prism said.

"Hello," Shadow said.

We spun around to see him standing behind us.

"How long have you been here?" I asked.

"I just got here," he answered.

"Why is the lab blown up?' I asked.

OK, maybe I'm just assuming Shadow knows something, but, to be honest, he seems to be involved with everything.

Shadow gazed out over the mess of rubble.

"The enemy, the one who kidnapped the others, did it," he answered at last.

"How do you know?" Prism asked.

Shadow stared at her.

"We're going back to Angel Island," he said, not answering her. "Please do well to remain there until you are ready to face the enemy."

Shadow took our hands and teleported us.

"Go back to your hut," Shadow told Prism.

Prism left.

I started to leave too, but Shadow stopped me.

"Nocny," he said.

"Yeah?" I said.

"You've done something very dangerous," he said.

I winced. I really hadn't thought that through.

"Imagine you had been there during the explosion," Shadow continued. "You could've been killed!"

"But I'm an Ultimate LifeForm," I said.

He turned and looked me in the eyes.

"You don't know everything about yourself. I don't know everything about you.The scientists don't know everything about you," he said.

"Sorry for going off the island," I apologized, dropping my gaze.

"Don't do it again," he said sternly. "You can go back to your hut now."

I started walking off.

"I like your eyes," Shadow said.

I turned around as he disappeared into the trees.

I stood there for stupidly long, trying to figure out what he meant.

Then I smacked my face in anger at my stupidity.

"I didn't get the eye-drops!"

Fun-fact: In this fic, Maria (while she was alive), was almost as smart as her grandfather. She even had a couple genetic experiments of her own...
