He had been staring up at the same ceiling for the past 2 hours. His mind in a whirlwind of thoughts.

It had been touch and go for a little bit. Shawn spencer could remember just how much pain he was in.

His father had not left his side.

Henry was a proud man. He took pride in the way that he would keep himself together.

But it was the first time he had seen the man cry.

Shawn didn't know how to handle that.

It was no secret that he and his father constantly butted heads. He had grown up a little too much like his father.

Leaving him at times emotionally stunted.

But the love and concern in his dad's eyes had thrown sean for a loop.

He could have died.

And yet here he was in a hospital bed with the last person that he would have thought would have cared.

Oh he knew deep deep deep down his dad loved him. He just had a cruddy way of showing it.

A way that shawn had been used to.

His father's disregard for what he did for the police had always made his heart hurt.

Sure he wasn't psychic. But he still contributed to helping the police. And wasn't his own father who taught him to be how he was?

Yes shawn was a man who was not good with emotions.

Yet here he was feeling something that he didn't often.

He was scared.

The past fifteen hours had been terrifying.

He wanted his dad.

Closing his eyes the young man took a long breath.

Sitting up with a grunt he looked at his front door.

The exhaustion evident in his eyes.

Sitting up with a grunt shawn scrubbed a hand over his face before sighing.

Going over to the door he opened it.

His body stood stiff shock filtering across the males face.

"Dad?".
