Chapter 3

The next day, Tsuna and his friends were walking on their way to Namimori High School. Granted, they didn't have to go to school since Tsuna had already finished High School via online courses and was working his way through the college courses while the others went purely out of boredom or to see what modern education was like.

(Tanjiro and Nezuko were pretty curious about modern schools since back then, those who lived out in the country only had a limited amount of education unless they had enough money to go live in the city.)

Suddenly, Tsuna stopped walking as he heard a commotion from an alleyway. From the sound of it, it sounded like a girl was arguing with a guy who kept bothering her and the guy was getting frustrated that she wouldn't agree to what he had in mind.

Tsuna and Zoro exchanged looks, and motioned for Mash, Chrome, Tanjiro and Nezuko to hang back as they figured it wouldn't take too long to kick the guy's ass and check to see if the girl was alright.

"No! For the last time Mochida-san, I won't go on a date with you!" Screamed out Kyoko Sasagawa as she glared at the captain of the kendo club Kensuke Mochida who looked at her with a frustrated look on his face but was continuing to smirk.

"Oh come on babe, why not? I'm the Kendo Club's captain. All the lovely ladies in our class and out want to be with a guy like me." He said rather arrogantly and Kyoko made a face at that statement since Mochida was a sexist ass who thought he was all that just because he knew how to swing a sword.

"Besides…" Mochida continued as he rubbed her face slightly which made her grimace. "We all know that your brother is still continuing to fight in those underground boxing matches. Would be a shame if something were to happen all because you continued to refuse me." He leered at her and that made her freeze at the veiled threat. "Especially since I know some people in his club that want him taken down a peg. So be my woman Kyo-chan~ and your brother won't be harmed."

S-SLAP!

Kyoko slapped Mochida hard across the face for that remark and made to leave the alley she was dragged into, only to be grabbed and slammed into the wall by a now enraged Mochida. "You stubborn little bitch! I was gonna go easy on you and sweet talk you into being my whore, but now I'm just gonna have my way with you! Enjoy being known as the school slut since no one will believe I raped you and once I'm done I'll let my kendo buddies rape you as well!" He said as he made his way to take off his pants.

However, in an instant he was knocked out cold by Zoro who stood over him with a Bokken in hand as Tsuna checked in on Kyoko and saw that she was alright just slightly roughed up.

"Hey there miss, you alright?" The young Dhampir asked as he helped her up and was surprised when she hugged and thanked him over and over again while crying.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you…" She sniffled. "I don't know what would've happened if your friend didn't knock out that bastard and stopped him from touching me.. Uwah!" She cried before looking over the downed Mochida. "He's not dead is he?"

"Doubt it. Zoro's strong, but he knows when to show restraint when dealing with weaker opponents." Tsuna said as he looked over to the moss-haired demon who grunted as he kicked Mochida who gave out a pained groan. "Why don't we get out of here so you can explain what happened."

"Okay! By the way, what's your name?" The golden-brown hair girl said as she, Tsuna and Zoro got out of the alley and met up with the others.

What she heard next surprised her.

"My name is Tsunayoshi, Tsunayoshi Black but just call me Tsuna."

"TSU-CHAN?!"

"So you're telling me that the guy that Zoro knocked out has been pining after you since Middle School?!" Tsuna asked Kyoko in disbelief as he and his group got close to the high school. After getting over the girl calling him by his childhood name and explaining to the others what almost happened in the alley, they were horrified or enraged and wanted to kill Mochida before Tsuna calmed them down.

Kyoko sighed. "Yeah, it's true. Mochida-san has been obsessed with me and is quite intent on making me 'his woman'." She said with air quotes and in disgust. "Luckily, my brother Ryohei beats him down whenever he gets too persistent; however, he's been getting more aggressive in his pursuit of me."

"That's horrible…" Chrome said, horrified as the others had similar looks. "Surely the school would've taken action by then and expelled him or perhaps have him arrested right?"

Kyoko laughed bitterly at that. "Heheh, yeah but no. Mochida may be a sexist idiot but he's not that dumb. He knows better than to do something that will bring down Hibari-Sempai's wrath on him for 'disturbing the school peace', so he sometimes stalks me hoping to find an opening to get me alone. Doesn't help the fact that there are rumors that the school covers shit like this up because they care more about their reputation than the wellbeing of the students."

"Tch… sounds like the school is run by weak-willed idiots too scared to stand up and enforce the rules." Zoro clicked his tongue in distaste, having decided to speak up during the conversation.

Kyoko gave the moss-haired teen (at least she assumed he was just an older looking teen) an odd look before deciding to clarify her statement about the school. "Well actually, some of the teachers do their best when it comes to their jobs like the P.E. Teachers Kano Makoto and Sunohara Ikumi, both are super nice and helpful when it comes to their students. There's also the Language Teacher Akagi Yasuo who's nice as well and is pretty popular with the students, but he can be oblivious at times and it may seem he cares more about his reputation since there's a rumor that he and Ikumi are a married couple to which he denies a lot."

That statement made the group raise an eyebrow in disbelief or snort at the thought of it. A teacher caring so much about his reputation that he didn't want others to know that he was married?

Humans were so weird these days (And no, the irony wasn't lost on those that were originally human in the first place and had seen plenty of weirdness in their time).

"However, there's also some pretty shitty teachers like the Science Teacher for example. Nezu-Sensei is kind of an ass at times and gets all smug when he talks about how he graduated at a high grade University and how high scores mean everything and shit like that." Kyoko ranted before muttering, "Can't believe the bastard got promoted from the middle school…."

Tsuna's group heard the mutter and wondered how bad the science teacher really was if his promotion was met with such hostility from Kyoko and wondered if she knew something about him.

Soon they were at the entrance of Namimori High School where they were met by a brown haired girl with light brown eyes who squealed at seeing Kyoko and ran up to hug her. "Kyoko-chan! You're alright, I was worried that creep Mochida had caught you!"

"Shizuka get off!" Kyoko squealed in embarrassment as Shizuka stopped hugging her and looked at the group near her friend with curious eyes. "That bastard tried to rape me in an alley way after I slapped him for threatening my brother. Thankfully Tsuna here and his friend Zoro knocked him out and got me out of there." She pointed to the mentioned duo. "Everyone, this is Sunohara Shizuka. Ikumi-Sensei's kid sister and one of my friends."

"Gah! Why did you have to mention that Ikumi's my sister?!" Shizuka screamed out in embarrassment as Kyoko smirked at her before looking over at Tsuna and smiling mischievously. "Hey Tsuna was it? Did ya know that Kyoko-chan had a crush on you when the both of you were younger? She thought you were kinda cute back then and felt sorry that people treated you like crap for no reason."

Tsuna raised an eyebrow at that as he looked over to Kyoko and saw that the golden-brown hair girl was blushing madly as Shizuka was laughing at her reaction. Before Kyoko could yell at her the school bell rang signifying class about to start. "Hahaha! Well, see you all in class!" Shizuka laughed again and went inside the building.

"Oooh! She is gonna get it soon." Kyoko mumbled to herself before sighing to herself and looking over at Tsuna. "Yeah it's true what she said. Anyways it's nice to see you again." She then went up to the half-vampire and hugged him. "Not really sure where you went or what happened, but it seems like whatever happened did some good for you. Ryohei once said that there was something special about you that he couldn't quite figure out since it felt like it was being smothered in a way. I bet he'll be happy to know that you're alright."

She then let go and headed inside the school, but not before giving Tsuna a warning. "Just a heads up, Hibari-Sempai is the head of a group of delinquents that stylized themselves as a Disciplinary Committee. There's a chance he may pick a fight with you or your friends since he likes to fight strong people. Also beware of the Math Teacher Yasuno Shiro. He's kind of a jerk like Nezu-sensei is, but there's rumors that he's a twisted bastard who would sell his own soul or others for power. If you're related to someone powerful he may seek you out to gain favors so be careful."

Tsuna just sighed and looked at his group who had similar thoughts to what was said.

They weren't exactly worried, but knew that this was gonna be a long school year.

Classes were boring, but tolerable. Tsuna, Zoro and Tanjiro were in one class while the girls were together in another. He was fine with this since Nezuko and Mash could hold their own and kick the ass of anyone who would bother them along with defending Chrome since while the purple haired girl could defend herself just fine she was a bit of a pacifist and preferred to avoid trouble unless pushed into a corner.

As for the students, they were tolerable as well and didn't bother him and the others much other than asking a few questions here and there. However, a few of them that did remember the young half-vampire from back then tried to give him a hard time but that ended quickly when he glared at them and released some killing intent making them back off and turn the other way.

Cowards, complete and utter fucking cowards they were. They thought they were big and tough when picking on those weaker than themselves, but when someone stronger comes along they turn tail and act like frightened dogs.

In a way, humans really were worse than demons. Demons were all about power and being instinctive in general while humans had to rely on their intellect and choices to survive. Demons did what they did and sure some were vile, others could be reasoned with to an extent and sometimes had a moral code however warped one may be.

Humans… humans didn't have many excuses. Sure some were innocent and ignorant and were just trying to live their lives and get by, but the rest were petty fucks that craved power and control over others for one reason or another. Ironically enough, they often expressed the worst aspects of demon kind in general and sometimes even more when promised power and wealth.

It's no wonder they made deals with demons in the past.

With the final bell ringing, classes have ended giving Tsuna a sigh of relief as he gathered up his stuff along with Zoro and Tanjiro.

Could the day have been any slower? Granted they got through it just fine, but the fact of the matter that it was pretty boring with the only reprieves was that some idiot bullies tried to pick a fight with one of them to "show them the pecking order".

Keyword tried, Zoro pretty much scared them off by flexing his Haki and glaring at them which got them running away from fear and Tsuna was pretty sure one of the bullies had pissed themselves.

There was also the matter with the math teacher. Shiro-sensei kept looking at Tsuna expectantly as if he knew who the Dhampir was related to and thought he had an in with NOMAD through him. Hell, when math class ended the crooked man had asked him to stay after class which made him suspicious, but he decided to stay to see where it would lead to.

When he did, Shiro-sensei bowed before him and had referred to Tsuna as "young Lord Black" and asked him (more like sniveled and begged?) to put in a good word to his grandfather "the great and powerful elder Lord Black", that a lowly yet useful servant known as Yasuno Shiro seeks to throw off his mortal shell and become a demon. He even offered to turn some of the female students and the principal into sex slaves as "tribute" and a "sign of good faith".

Tsuna was disgusted by the man's greed and with eyes blazing red, told him that he was a disgusting bastard and that to get lost before he killed him and made his death look like a disappearance. To his annoyance though, Shiro-sensei groveled and thanked him for putting him in his place before leaving and promising to do better.

He had a feeling that the man was gonna be a problem later on.

As he, Zoro and Tanjiro grouped back up with the girls and walked out of the school to head home, standing near the entrance was a teen with black hair and narrow looking gray eyes that were watching them and Tsuna had a feeling that they were watching him the most. Another thing about the teen was that he was wearing the uniform of the disciplinary committee including the armband that was on his left sleeve.

Oh, and he also had some tonfas on him.

The minute they were close to the entrance, the teen stopped to address them. "Wao, new students. No… new carnivores perhaps?" He said as he looked at them before stopping at Zoro, Tanjiro, Nezuko and Tsuna as if he knew what the four were while giving Mash and Chrome no mind as if he considered them harmless. "I demand that you fight me!" he yelled out as he charged at the four.

Tsuna was surprised, but got over it as he blocked the teen's tonfas with his bare hands and realized something about the other boy. "Hey, you wouldn't happen to be Hibari-Senpai would you?" He asked the teen who grunted yet nodded as he applied more pressure in his tonfas and made Tsuna let go and kept him on the defensive. "Hey look, I know my friends and I are new here, but ain't this a little extreme? Pretty sure you got better things to do than picking fights with others."

Hibari however, ignored him and kept swinging his tonfas at the Dhampir. "It matters not, the herbivores here know their place. Now fight me or I will bite you!" He demanded as Tsuna's group sweat dropped at that exclamation. Biting someone to death? The demons in the group didn't smell the scent of a vampire on the battle happy teen or any demon in general so he was obviously purely human.

However, they did smell the scent of something draconic on him though it was rather faint.

Tsuna was starting to get annoyed at Hibari's abrasiveness and decided to get serious. He threw a fast punch that the teen didn't see and knocked him to the ground. He then grabbed him by the shirt collar and glared at him with Hibari glaring back but was smirking a little. "Really? You say that you got the students under control and yet some of them are causing problems. Kyoko Sasagawa told me that she's been dealing with harassment from the kendo captain Mochida for a while to the point he tried to rape her in an alley way if it weren't for me and Zoro stopping him! There's also the issue with some of the teachers such as Yasuno Shiro for example. There's rumors about him being corrupt to the point some believe he would sell people as sex slaves for power!"

He then let go of Hibari who staggered a little and continued. "So if you think you got this place under control then you're clearly fucking delusional and don't actually see what's really going on here."

Rather than be offended by Tsuna's outburst, Hibari just sighed and grunted before looking at Tsuna. "Wao, I see. I've been looking for a reason to remove that annoying herbivore Mochida from the school for a while. As for the pervert herbivore, I can't do much with the teachers as I have an agreement with the principal to not go after them unless they're doing something that makes the school look bad as a whole. However, I will look into him to see what's going on and make sure he's properly punished along with anyone who's aiding him."

"That's fine with me, just as long as they're punished and can't get away with their crimes."

With that out of the way, Tsuna and his friends left the school and headed home. As for Hibari, he went back inside to the reception room to make a phone call with some of his father's police contacts.

Time to see what that bastard Yasuno Shiro was up to and to see what he was hiding.
