* Hi to everyone… I hope that those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving had a nice one. I also want to thank those of you who purchased or read my book on Kindle Unlimited. It makes the hard work worth the effort to know that you have taken the time to read it. Anyway… I was going to go in a different direction with this chapter… make it about the family holiday but Jane and Maura had a different idea and… well… the last part kinda came to me quick and fast… so sexy times won over family times. I hope you all like this one and I look forward to continuing on this journey with our two favorite ladies. Take care and thanks for supporting me and all the reviews… I truly appreciate it. Happy Holidays to everyone who celebrates!

Chapter 22

Jane sat across the table from Liam, her brow furrowed in concentration as she tried to understand what he was proposing. "Private investigator? You want to start your own private investigation company?" She asked with trepidation and uncertainty. Surely she had misunderstood what he was saying.

"Yes, that is exactly what I want to do. And…" he looked from Jane to Maura, then back at Jane again with a heavy resolve. "I want you to be my partner."

"But I work for BPD… at the academy. You want me to give up being a detective?" Jane's voice rose slightly as her eyes grew wide in surprise.

"I'm not asking you to give up being a detective, Jane. That is exactly what you would be… except in the private sector." He tried to explain.

"You've put in nearly twenty years… enough time to receive your pension from the department. Why not?" Frankie chimed in.

Jane turned her attention to her brother, not hearing the murmurs of agreement that went around the table they were all sitting at. When her eyes came back around to rest on Maura, she could see the pique of interest in what Liam was asking of her and she realized it was something she needed to consider. And why not… she could set her hours, pick and choose what cases she wanted to work on, and well… be her own boss.

"I'm in…" Korsak said without hesitation causing heads to turn in his direction. "I'm set to retire anyway so why not do it on my terms." He shrugged his shoulders. "I want to retire from the force but I don't want to sit around and do nothing. This seems like a great opportunity to keep busy and keep sharp."

"Really?" Frost asked in surprise. "But you're the lead homicide detective… who will replace you?"

"Well, that would have been Jane… but, well…" he hesitated. "I'll put in a good word for you Barry. I think you can handle it."

A large smile spread across Frost's face at Korsak's admission. "Thanks…" but then he hesitated and looked at Jane for her confirmation that she agreed with him.

Nodding her head, Jane let out a heavy sigh. "He's right, man… you'd be great as a lead homicide detective and you've worked hard to prove it. I agree."

"Does that mean you'll consider coming on as my partner?" Liam asked Jane.

Glancing around the table at the looks of anticipation and excitement for something new, she nodded again. "I think, maybe…" she took a deep breath before continuing. "Yeah… I think it might be a good move for me."

"Well, with my connections and the years of knowledge sitting here at this table…" Liam held up his hands to indicate everyone. "I think we can do quite well."

"So… a consultation gig for us? And we wouldn't have to quit our jobs?" Frankie asked.

"Well, it would more than likely be the other way around Frankie..." Korsak said. "We would offer our consultation services to you when necessary."

"And, we'd be able to help you, as well… just not in the official capacity." Frost offered.

"I like it." Frankie grinned. "And would we make extra money, too?" He couldn't help but ask.

"Yes." Liam smiled at Frankie's enthusiasm. He knew that Frankie was getting ready to get married and perhaps start a family soon and would need the extra money. "I would keep you both on the payroll and it would mean you'd get a steady paycheck."

"That's it… I'm all in." Frankie slapped his hands together.

For a minute, everyone was quiet as they contemplated what role they would play in this new venture and even though it was a comfortable silence, there was one person who had yet to speak. Maura had listened quietly to everyone and even though the excitement was somewhat contagious, there was also the element of uncertainty. She took a deep breath and then let it out slowly, causing Jane to look at her with curiosity.

"You haven't said anything, yet. What do you think?" Jane turned her attention to the one person that mattered the most to her. It was Maura's opinion that would decide whether she would embark on this new adventure.

"I think…" Maura cleared her throat and then dropped her gaze from Jane's intense one. She knew that Jane was seeking her approval before making the final decision and she didn't want to discourage her… but she also wanted to weigh all the pros and cons. "I think it is something to seriously consider."

"Consider?" Liam asked, raising an eyebrow in question.

"Well, yeah… I'd like for Jane and me to go over your business proposal. There are things we need to consider, especially since…"

Jane nodded in understanding without Maura having to finish. "Okay… if Maura gets on board with this… then I will too, but we need some time to discuss it."

"Okay, that's fair." Liam conceded even though he had hoped that Jane would jump at the opportunity… no questions asked. But he should have known that Maura wouldn't allow them to make such an important decision without going over it with a fine-tooth comb. "I'll get you the proposal and the prospective clients I already have lined up. Will that work?"

"Yes…" Maura let out a sigh because she didn't want to have to be the wet blanket on the fire of an idea that had started. "We'll let you know by Thanksgiving… if that's okay."

"Absolutely." Liam nodded in agreement. "But just remember, this is a good thing. Jane could pick and choose what she works on and how often. And she could do a lot of consulting from home…" he gave Maura a meaningful look because he knew they were planning on getting pregnant again.

"So, I guess that does it then…" Jane glanced around the table at everyone as a ripple of excitement moved over them all.

"This is gonna be great…" Frankie beamed. "You'd be like one of those old movie detectives from the '40s…" he turned to Jane.

"Let's not put the cart before the horse yet…" Jane smiled at him because she was also thinking the same thing.

"Well, there are enough cold cases to keep us all busy for many years..." Korsak said as he leaned back in his chair to wave the waitress over. Now that their business was over, he was ready for a beer and pastrami sandwich… diet be damned.

Korsak's statement caused Maura's interest to be piqued. He was right in that there were many cold cases out there that had yet to be solved because the PD just didn't have enough resources or manpower to solve them. Perhaps this was something that Jane could be good at and it would keep her out of harm's way… mostly. This was definitely something she would need to think about because she knew how much Jane loved investigative work and even though she hadn't complained about being an instructor at the academy, she knew that Jane needed to spread her wings. Perhaps this would be the best way for her to do that. And when Jane wrapped an arm around her shoulder to pull her in for a kiss, she knew that barring any unforeseen obstacles in the form of bodily danger… she had already decided it would be a good thing to let Jane fly.

"Is there anything you need me to help with… please?" Maura asked Constance, who was now chuckling on the other end of the phone.

"No, I've got it covered." Constance couldn't stop herself from laughing at Maura's question. They both knew why Maura had seemed a little apprehensive.

"Well, you've never cooked Thanksgiving dinner… um… ever..." Maura said with a hint of worry.

"I know, but this year will be different. Besides, Bree will be here to help and she is a wonderful cook." Constance tried to reassure Maura.

"Okay, but please let me bring something." Maura pressed, not feeling at all comfortable with letting her mother do all of the work.

"How about you bring the wine and perhaps some cheese and crackers for a charcuterie board."

"Chartruerie board? Won't that be too much food?" Maura seemed surprised by Constance's request.

"Oh, no… we can have some light h'orderves before the feast." Constance seemed nonplussed by Maura's concern. "Besides, I was hoping you'd come to spend the day… not just be here for dinner. I'd like to catch up and well… spend some time with you all since we won't be home for Christmas this year."

"Um, yeah… sure…" Maura let out a heavy sigh. The fact that her mother wasn't going to be home for Christmas was still a point of contention for her but she knew she was just being overly sensitive. "That would be nice."

"Okay then, how about you come over around two o'clock and we eat around six. I'll even let Jane watch those silly football games she insists are part of the Thanksgiving tradition. And the kids can decorate the cupcakes for dessert." Constance sounded excited.

"Wow, who are you and what have you done with my mother?" Maura laughed but there was a touch of seriousness to her question.

"Look, I know I haven't always been so easy-going about things like this… or anything really, but well…" Constance hesitated briefly before taking a deep breath. "Well, I've since come to realize that life is short and I want to be the best Gigi my grand kids can have and I want them to remember me as being fun, kind, and well… happy."

For a moment, Maura was quiet as she contemplated what Constance had said. She knew that since Bree had come into their lives, Constance had seemed happier than ever and for that, she was grateful. "The kids love you and… Bree too. She's brought the light back to your eyes and I'm happy for you."

"Thank you, dear… I never thought I could find someone who made me as happy as your father did."

At the mention of her father, Maura felt a slight tug at her heart. The years had passed by quickly and his absence had always been felt, especially during the holidays. Maura knew he would have been the best grandfather to her kids but unfortunately, that didn't come to pass but she was happy that her mother had finally found someone to love her as much as her father did.

"You know, I miss him every day…" Constance started to say.

"I know mom, but he would be happy for you, too. He would never want you to be alone." Maura finally filled in the blanks that had appeared between them since the conversation turned to her father.

"Yes, I suppose you're right." Constance blew out a long-held breath, a combination of relief and sadness. "So, we'll see you around two on Thursday?"

"Yep and let me know if there is anything else I can help with..." Maura said before saying goodbye and hanging up.

As she set her phone down, she wiped at the stray tear that had leaked from her eye at the memory of her father and the things they had missed out on. And then something warm and comfortable wrapped around her, making her grateful for the sixth sense Jane had when it came to her feelings. She hadn't even known that Jane was in the room until that moment when she felt arms envelop her from behind, bringing peace and understanding into her heart.

"Hey, beautiful… why are you so sad all of a sudden?" Jane bent down and whispered against Maura's ear.

"I'm not… not really…" Maura gave a slight shrug.

Jane pulled back so she could get a better look at the expression on Maura's face. "Really?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. "I'm not buying it…"

"Okay, maybe I am a little sad." Maura sighed as she snuggled back against Jane, accepting the comfort being offered.

"Wanna talk about it?" Jane asked as she spun Maura around in her arms so they could look at each other.

"I guess I'm just missing my dad a bit… it's harder during the holidays, I suppose."

Jane pulled Maura closer to her and set her chin atop of honey blonde hair and let out a heavy sign. "You remember that time he came to the family football game and got a broken nose?"

Maura nodded and chuckled at the memory. It was the first time he had been exposed to the whole Rizzoli clan and he had hung in there like a champion. "And then your dad convinced him to come over for a beer after…"

"And it pissed Constance off, something awful. I didn't think she'd forgive me for that one… as if I had something to do with it, but you know how she was back in those days. Not as easy going and accepting as she is now." Jane began to rock Maura back and forth in her arms.

"Yes, she certainly wasn't an easy person to be around back then. But she's different now…" Maura pressed her cheek against the hallow of Jane's throat. "I think Bree has been good for her."

"Yeah, but she's been coming around for years… I think she realized how fragile life and love can be after your father passed away. She's been one of our biggest supporters since we got back together."

"She has…" Maura seemed to realize that what Jane said was true. Constance had at one time held herself in higher regard to other people but that all changed since her father passed away. And even though she missed him every day, she was glad to have her mother being such a strong support for her and Jane.

"How's the Thanksgiving planning going, by the way?" Jane asked as she allowed Maura to finally slip from her hold.

"It's going well. Are you sure Angela doesn't want to join us?"

"Yeah, she wants to spend it with Davi… you know… since he's gotta leave after the first of the year."

"Do you think she loves him?" Maura asked.

"In a way, yes… but she's known from the beginning that this wasn't a permanent arrangement. I'm proud of her for not getting attached like she's prone to do. I think they are both having fun and enjoy each other's company so…" Jane shrugged her shoulders.

"I think it's good for her to experience different things… and well… that includes different men, as well." Maura let out a sigh. She'd done the same in the early years after she and Jane had broken up but it just reinforced who she wanted to spend her life with.

"She got married right out of high school and my pop was probably the only person she'd ever been with so I'm glad she's gotten to explore herself… so to speak." Jane stopped short of saying that her mother was exploring her sexuality because she just couldn't do that.

"So what you're saying is that you're proud of Angela for exploring her sexuality?" Maura couldn't help but pick fun at Jane, whose cheeks were starting to turn pink.

"Hmmm… I think it's safe to say Constance has been doing the same…" Jane tried to switch tactics.

"Okay, I'll leave you alone on this subject." Maura laughed at the way Jane's face had consistently started to turn red in embarrassment.

"So, are we ready for this… you're mother cooking for Thanksgiving? Doesn't she usually have it catered?"

"She does, but this year Bree has convinced her that they can do it, together. I hope she's right." Maura tried not to look worried.

"I'm sure it'll all be okay. And the kids won't care, as long as they have chicken nuggets and buttered pasta to eat…" Jane laughed.

"I suppose if worse comes to worst, we might be eating the same thing as well." Maura joined in with Jane.

"So…" Jane suddenly turned serious. "Have you given any thought to Liam's proposal?"

Nodding Maura pulled back further from Jane and leaned against the kitchen counter. "I have and although I do have my reservations… I think it might be a good move for you." She said. They had gone over every last detail together and Liam looked to have everything in order. So much so, that Maura couldn't find any fault in it. She knew he was quick to chase adventure sometimes but she also knew he would keep Jane safe.

"What are you worried about?" Jane asked.

"I guess I'm just worried about you going out to investigate and… well…" Maura looked down at her feet.

"I get it, Maur… I do… but this is far better than what I did before. This is something we can do at our own pace… research and stuff. Cold cases… etc… things like this could bring some closure to families who wouldn't have it otherwise. We both know the PD is far too busy to give some of these cases their due diligence. And not all of them are homicide cases, ya know."

"You're right… but no matter what you do… I'm always gonna worry about you being out there. I can't help it…" Maura stuck her bottom lip out in a pout causing Jane to take a step closer.

"You'd better put that bottom lip away or it might get a little nip." Jane placed a hand on either side of Maura, pinning her to the counter.

"What if I don't want to?" Maura dared Jane to follow through.

"Well, then… I suppose I might have to do this…" Jane said as she leaned down a pressed her lips to Maura's before sucking in that bottom lip and raking her teeth across it lightly causing Maura to shiver. "Um… do we have a little time before the kids get back from Ma's to… um…" Jane wiggled her eyebrows suggestively and tilted her head towards the stairs and their bedroom.

Maura tilted her head slightly as she pretended to think about Jane's question. "We might… if we make it quick…" she started to say but didn't get to finish because Jane scooped her up into her arms and carried her to the stairs. Taking them two at a time, Maura wasn't sure they would make it but when Jane finally set her down outside their bedroom door and gently pushed her inside, she felt the weight of the world and all the worries that had settled on her shoulder lift. Closing the door, she anticipated shutting the world out for at least an hour before reality would set back in and demand her attention. But all in all, she was happy with the decisions they had made together and one of those was to encourage Jane to take a step in a new direction with the only other person she trusted as much as she trusted Jane, and that was Liam.

YYY

Liam leaned his forearms against the deck railing overlooking Constance's huge backyard. It was already dark outside but the weather was mild and somewhat balmy from what he was used to experiencing on Thanksgiving and it was the reason why he had dropped two ice cubes in his glass of scotch. When he heard the sliding glass door open, he stood up straight to greet the person he expected to find, and that was Jane. Turning around, he leaned back against the railing again and watched her with a weary look on his face. He wasn't sure what she was going to tell him or if he was going to like it, but he hoped it was going to be good news.

"Hey, whatcha doing out here all alone?" Jane asked as she moved to stand next to him.

"Just needed some thinkin' space." He held his glass up and gave it a gentle swirl.

"Ah… it is a bit of a madhouse in there… but now quite a big as the three-ringed circus you'd find at the Rizzoli house…" Jane laughed.

"Yeah, I'm aware of that circus." Liam laughed as well.

"I suppose we should take advantage of this quiet time to talk." Jane shoved her hands in her pockets and leaned against the railing next to him.

"Yeah, I suppose so." He murmured as he took a sip of his drink and sighed at the warmth that filled his chest. It felt good. It didn't burn like the cheap stuff, but then again… Constance never had anything but the best in her home. It hadn't been a surprise to find the unopened bottle of Johnny Walker blue label waiting for him when went to pour himself a drink. The thought that Constance had the foresight to provide him with his favorite scotch brought a small smile to his face.

"So, Maura and I have talked things over and well… we're in..." Jane said without preamble.

After another sip, he allowed himself a moment to savor the taste before clearing his throat and turning to Jane. "You had me a little worried that it wasn't going to work out, but I'm glad to hear it is."

"Well, you know Maura. She needs to analyze everything before she commits to something."

"But it isn't really a commitment from her that I'm asking for." Liam tilted his head and looked at Jane, a serious expression on his face.

Taking a deep breath, Jane held it and closed her eyes before letting it out in a long exhale. She opened her eyes again to find that he was now watching her with curiosity. "I know, but we both know how much she worries about things, and with everything that's happened… I don't want to rock the boat. I knew she'd agree to it, but I had to let her work through it herself."

"I understand..." Liam said but when Jane gave him a skeptical look he knew he needed to reiterate that he did indeed, understand. "I really do… and as much as I want to guarantee there won't be dangerous situations… I can't. I need to know you'll have my back as much as I'll have yours."

"You know I will… I always have and always will have your back." Jane tried to reassure.

"If we do this, we do it all the way. Agreed?"

"Agreed." Jane nodded her understanding.

Her answer was quick and without hesitation giving Liam the confidence that he had lacked until that moment. "Okay, I've got all the paperwork to get licensed and bonded all ready to go."

"I'm all in..." Jane said.

"Good, I think we're gonna make a difference… ya know… help some people find closure and stuff. Maybe even catch a few cheating spouses as well… who knows what'll be thrown our way."

"Well, whatever it is… we'll be ready." Jane patted him on the back before pulling him into a hug. It was a little awkward at first but then they both relaxed in time to let go. "Well, I think I might need one of those…" she said pointing to his glass.

"You mean a scotch?" He asked, holding his glass up for her to see.

She scrunched up her face as if she had just smelled something bad and shook her head. "Um, no… I'm not in the habit of drinking stuff that tastes like dirt…"

"Here… have a taste. This is pretty smooth and it's blended." He said handing her the glass.

Again, Jane made a face but obliged him by taking a sip. To her surprise, it was surprisingly smooth. It didn't burn going down and only made her cough a little. "Okay, maybe I'll give it a chance." She said as she took another sip.

"It's on the bar in the study but there's also a really good bottle of bourbon in there as well so I won't hold it against you if decide on that one instead." He took his glass back and offered a knowing wink. "I think I'll have one more of these before calling a night."

"Sounds like a plan…" Jane said as she headed towards the sliding doors with Liam following her. A small smile slid across her face at the anticipation of their new adventure together as business partners. But that wasn't the only thing she was excited about… she was also excited about the next step of growing their family.

YYY

Maura laid back against Jane as they snuggled on the couch together, finally allowing themselves to relax for the first time since… well, pretty much all day. It had been a whirlwind afternoon and evening, spending Thanksgiving with her mother and then getting home and corralling the kids for bedtime. Their afternoon had been pleasant, not particularly relaxing, but easy. All they had to do was show up and enjoy the company. It was a small gathering, with their little family of four, Liam, her mother, and Bree. Nice and quiet was how she would have described it. Angela was off with Davi, Frankie was with Steph's family, and Tommy… well, he was probably off with his flavor of the month, as Jane had put it. But Christmas day was theirs… and they would have a full house of Rizzoli's and Isles together to celebrate.

"Why are you so quiet?" Jane asked as she ran her finger's through Maura's soft, silky hair.

"Just thinking about things." Maura sighed as she snuggled closer to Jane.

"Is everything alright? Is there something you wanna talk about?"

Maura shook her head at Jane's question. "Everything is okay, I was just thinking about how nice today was… that is until we got home and the kids went wild." She said referencing their struggle to get bathes, jammies, and bedtime stories taken care of.

"Yeah, they were a bit wired." Jane could feel her body relax against Maura's and the warmth that radiated between them was more than enough to ignite a need they hadn't indulged in lately since being interrupted earlier in the week. "But I think Lee was the instigator this time."

"Well, I think the cupcakes, brownies, and pie are what did it." Maura laughed.

"There was a lot of dessert for just seven people but it's not like we let them loose to eat stuff like that often."

"No, just Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentines Day, Easter, birthday parties, Halloween…" Maura paused and twisted around so she could look at Jane. "Do I need to continue?"

"No…" Jane rolled her eyes. "But at least we got them down before midnight this time."

"I'd raise a glass to that but I think I've had enough." Maura offered Jane a small smile at the admission she may have overindulged.

"I have to agree. I had some of Liam's scotch and… well… it wasn't awful." Jane could still detect the slight aftertaste of peat in the back of her mouth. "And we had a good talk."

"I'm glad. You told him you would join him on his new endeavor?"

"I did and he seemed…" Jane paused as she tried to find the right word to describe his reaction. "I guess he seemed relieved, as if he thought I might not want to do it… or that maybe you wouldn't want me to."

"You know I'd never stand in the way of you doing something that makes you happy… right?" Maura seemed surprised by Jane's admission.

"I do but you also need to know that I'd never do anything that would make you unhappy because we're a team and what affects me… affects all of us..." Jane said to emphasize that their family had grown beyond the two of them. "Valley is going to be six and Lee is gonna be two and hopefully…" a grin spread across Jane's face as she placed a hand on Maura's stomach. "We'll be adding to that soon enough."

Maura moved to straddle Jane's hips so they were face to face. "We have some quiet time to ourselves. How about we get a little practice in before we try for real, perhaps uninterrupted this time." Maura wiggled her eyebrows before leaning forward to place a kiss on Jane's cheek.

It was supposed to be a quick innocent kiss, but Jane couldn't stop herself from wanting more, so she grabbed Maura by the hips and pulled her closer so she could have access to those lips she craved to feel against her own. "I think that would be a very good idea…" she murmured against the warmth of Maura's mouth as the kiss deepened.

"Ummm…" Maura moaned when she felt Jane's fingers slip under the hem of her shirt, touching the sensitive skin along her sides. Pulling back slightly, she peered at Jane through heavily lidded eyes as an idea came to her. When Jane looked at her with a questioning raised eyebrow, she smiled a wicked, sexy smile. "I want to try something…"

"You do?" Jane's curiosity was piqued as she watched Maura shift slightly on her lap.

In one quick motion, Maura pulled her shirt over her head and tossed it over the couch they were sitting on, revealing her pink lacy bra… one of Jane's favorites. She couldn't stop the cocky grin from creasing her lips when Jane's mouth fell open in surprise but when she reached around to unclasp her bra, the audible gulp that followed caused her to laugh.

"You like what you see?" Maura gave a little shimmy, causing her breasts to sway back and forth in the most delectable way.

"Um…" Jane swallowed hard again as her eyes widened at the sight before her. "Very much…" she said as she reached out to touch Maura, but the slap to her hand caused her to pull back.

"No touching… not until I say so..." Maura said sternly, taking the hand in her own and bringing it up to lips to place a kiss against the spot she had lightly slapped.

"Are… you… trying… to kill me?" Jane stuttered slightly as he eyes stayed fixed on the objects of her desire.

Maura squeezed her arms against the sides of her breasts to enhance their size and shimmied again. "Kill? No. Tease… torture… torment… maybe just a little."

"And how, pray-tell do you plan on doing that?" Jane asked even though she knew how easy it was for Maura to do all of the things she had mentioned.

"I'm going to start by doing this…" Maura said as she took each of Jane's hands in her own and then threaded their fingers together so Jane couldn't touch her.

"Okay…" Jane took a deep breath as she let Maura take control. It was one of her favorite things… letting Maura dictate how things would play out.

"And now I'm going to lay down some ground rules…" Maura leaned close so her mouth was hovering over Jane's. She didn't kiss her though, instead, she held back just far enough so Jane could feel her warm breath against her lips. But then she moved up to Jane's ear before whispering against the soft skin under her lips. "Rule number one is… you can't touch me with your hands."

"Okay…" Jane could feel her hands tingling with the need to touch Maura, but she was willing to play the game and follow the rules Maura was about to layout. "And rule number two?"

"Rule number two is…" Maura shifted a little higher on Jane's lap as she moved her lips back to Jane's. "I decide what you get to touch…"

"But I thought you said I couldn't touch you?" Jane asked with a slight bit of confusion.

"I said you couldn't touch me with your hands." Maura gave Jane's hands a slight squeeze. "But this…" she pressed her lips to Jane's, allowing her tongue to sweep across the bottom one seeking permission to enter, and sighed when Jane gave it to her. When their tongues touched, grazing back and forth in a gentle, yet sensual dance, she shivered and couldn't stop herself from grinding her hips down against Jane's. The movement drew a moan from both of them. "You can use this… but only when I give you permission..." she said as she reluctantly pulled back and nipped at that same bottom lip she had just licked. "But just to be on the safe side… I'm going to hold on to these." Giving Jane's hands another gentle squeeze, she made sure it was clear what she was talking about.

"Jesus, Maur…" Jane let out a breathless whisper.

"But first, I need to get these off." Maura let go of Jane so she could slip out of her pants, revealing the pink lacy bikini bottoms that matched the bra that was currently flung across the room. The rest of the rules she was going to dictate flew out of the room at the look Jane was giving her now. Perhaps two rules would be sufficient.

"Fuck…" Jane rolled her head back against the back of the couch and looked up at the ceiling. "You really are trying to kill me." Her fingers itched to touch that soft, silky lace and it took all her strength to restrain herself.

Climbing back on Jane's lap, with only her bikini bottoms left, Maura settled herself with one knee on either side of the narrow hips she was now straddling. "Now, give me those back…" she reached for Jane's hands again.

"I don't know if I like this game." Jane pouted.

"Oh, I promise… it'll be well worth every long, drawn-out… torturous moment." That sly, sexy smile came back to Maura's lips as she watched Jane's eyes rove over her body. It always made her feel so good when Jane looked at her this way. It made her feel powerful, desired, and loved in a way she never felt before. Was it so wrong for her to want to savor that feeling for just a few moments more before letting herself indulge in the feeling of Jane's mouth against her skin? No… it wasn't.

"You're so beautiful… it takes my breath away. I could just sit here and look at you all night." Jane let out a sigh of contentment as she continued to watch Maura settle over her hips.

"Yeah?" Maura seemed happy with that admission. "Well, the way you look at me sometimes makes me feel so good… so sexy" she started to lean forward as if she was going to kiss Jane again but this time she pushed up higher on her knees so her breasts were now level with Jane's mouth. She was so close, she could feel Jane's warm breath brushing against her nipple and it caused her to shiver in anticipation. But it didn't stop there. Testing Jane's resolve to follow the rules, she allowed that already hardened nipple to graze Jane's soft lips in a dare to defy her. When Jane didn't take the bait, it almost disappointed her because she was now aching to feel those lips surround and pull her into the warmth and wetness she was now craving, but she too must abide by the rules she had set forth, even if she was now starting to regret them.

Jane was at her breaking point as Maura continued to slide a hardened nipple over her lips in an attempt to tease her. They had been down this road before and she knew that if she gave in too quick, it wouldn't be as good as if she had just waited… a little bit longer.

"Ummmm…. You're being very good, following the rules." Maura murmured as she moved her breast from Jane's mouth to her skim along her cheek, back and forth in a tantalizing way. "I think that maybe you deserve a reward… would you like that?"

Jane nodded vigorously, not trusting that her now dry mouth was capable of forming words. But she couldn't stop the groan of disappointment from slipping past her lips when Maura leaned back.

"Do you have any idea what you do to me?" Maura asked as she let go of one of Jane's hands and brought a finger to her own lips.

"I have an idea..." Jane tried to sound cocky, but it didn't work because her last work came out like a squeak.

"Would you like me to show you?" Maura let her finger drop down to her chin and then to the hollow of her throat as she watched Jane intently.

That cocky attitude Jane tried to portray quickly dropped as she realized what Maura might be suggesting. "Yes… please… show me."

"Are you sure?" Maura teased as that finger moved lower to the valley between her breasts.

For a moment, Jane thought Maura might play with her breasts but the disappointment she felt when she realized that wasn't to be quickly disappeared as Maura's hand moved lower yet. Her eyes widened when that hand stopped at the waistband of the lacy bikini Maura was still wearing and hovered briefly before disappearing beneath the pink material. She almost couldn't catch her breath as she watched Maura close her eyes and roll her head back as she touched herself.

This was almost the tipping point for Jane as Maura rolled her hips forward a few times but then it was over almost as quickly as it had started.

"This…" Maura said as she held her wet fingers out for Jane to see. "This is what you do to me." And with that statement, she brought those fingers up to her nipple and painted it with her wetness before leaning forward again with a slight smirk on her face. When she brought her wet nipple back up to Jane's mouth, Jane couldn't stop herself from capturing it between her lips. But then she pulled back and frowned at Jane. "I didn't give you permission."

"Maur, honey… I'm all in for trying to play this game and stuff, but I have a breaking point ya know. And this…" Jane said as she let go of Maura's hands to grab her by the hips. "This is it…" she groaned as she pulled Maura against her and brought their mouths together in an intense kiss to show how much she wanted this.

"Okay…" Maura said breathlessly. She too had enjoyed drawing out the final result but she couldn't wait any longer to feel Jane's mouth on her.

"Now… if it's alright with you…" Jane said as she laid Maura back against the couch arm so she could finally slip the pink bikinis off. "I'm gonna take what I want… with your permission… of course." She waited for Maura to nod her consent before removing the last barrier separating them.

Allowing herself to be moved so she was now on the bottom and Jane was hovering over her, she couldn't help but chuckle. "You know this is going to put you on Santa's naughty list."

"I'm counting on it…" Jane offered one of those sexy winks as she positioned herself between Maura's now spread legs. "And based on what I'm about to do to you, right now… I don't expect I'll be getting off it any time soon."

"Well, I suggest you quick talking and put that mouth to good use..." Maura growled through clenched teeth as she reached down and pushed Jane's head closer to where she needed her. All pretense of playfulness was gone now as she brought her hips up to meet Jane halfway for the relief she needed. It had been a fun game to start but it was past the point of playfulness as her need for release burned through her.

Taking her cue, Jane positioned herself between Maura's legs and allowed herself to be guided to where she was needed most. Her body was on fire with the desire to touch, taste, and please Maura to the fullest of her ability, and based on the wetness that greeted her upon the first stroke of her tongue, it wouldn't take long to give Maura what she craved for the most. A feeling of urgency took over when Maura's hips began to move quicker, indicating how close she was and with a wild abandon she hadn't felt in a long time, Jane took it all… the hair pulling, the fingernails digging into her scalp, the pressure of Maura's legs pressing against her... she brought Maura to the pinnacle of her climax.

It was worth every second of teasing and sweet torture they had endured earlier since it had brought them to this moment. And when Maura's body stiffened under Jane's and her body shuttered with wave after wave of pleasure, Maura cried out Jane's name over and over again as if it were the mantra by which she lived and loved.

In the moments that followed, not another word was spoken between them, nor did there need to be. Because this is where Jane wanted to be, this place of wonder and worship where she could bring Maura to the heights of pleasure and watch her at one of her most vulnerable moments. It was an honor and a privilege only she got to experience. One she would never take for granted. One she would be grateful for the rest of her life.
