Chapter 10
School was done for the day and Tsuna was putting his stuff away until Chrome came up to him.
"Ready to go my beloved?" She said rather sweetly which made the Dhampir roll his eyes, but nodded in confirmation. At this point a lot of people figured out overtime that Tsuna and Chrome were a couple but didn't pry further and thus left them alone with the exception of a rare few who were nosy and tried to start some drama.
They were quickly disciplined by the Disciplinary Committee or more specifically, the female senior members who were in relationships and thus understood the meaning of privacy. Like the male members who wore the old gakuran-style uniforms they wore the old female style that had the long skirts.
Many of them also had long hair and styled it to the princess-cut hairstyle. They also acted like a girl gang to an extent, but didn't do anything other than rough up the students who were more likely to cause trouble for others and throwing out shady people who tried to visit the school. Other than that they were quite nice like the rest of the Committee once you got to know them and didn't do anything that got you on their shit list.
Or worse case scenario, a visit from Hibari-Senpai.
As the couple made their way out of class, they were stopped by Yasuo-sensei who was smiling at them but Tsuna could tell that the smile was a little strained.
"Oh, hello there Tsuna-kun and Chrome-chan." The teacher said, "How are your days going? Not too hard I suppose, with midterms coming up soon I was concerned that some students would be struggling."
"Oh, hey there Yasuo-sensei." Tsuna said rather neutral, but politely. "School's been going alright for Chrome and me. We're a little nervous for midterms, but we're confident that we and our friends can pass." He said with Chrome nodding in confirmation
That was a lie, Tsuna didn't really give a damn about midterms but it's not like Yasuo-Sensei needed to know about that nor was he obligated to be truthful to the older man.
"Mhmm, I see." Yasuo-sensei mused. "Well it's good to know that some students are taking their studies seriously, especially the ones that have built up good grades along with a good reputation amongst the student body." He said in a tone that sounded a little suspicious to the two teens, but they didn't think much of it.
"Well nice talking to you sensei, but me and Tsuna-kun gotta get going." Chrome said as she bowed before the teacher and tried to leave, but Yasuo stopped her.
"Now now, no need to rush." He said calmly while still smiling. "Actually I've been wanting to talk to you two for a while. So please stay awhile."
Now that set off some Red Flags, but the teens didn't show it and looked at the male teacher rather expectantly. "Really? And what is it that you want to talk about?" Tsuna said as he folded his arms and gave the older male a stare down. "I doubt it's about our grades since like you claim they seem to be good and we seem to get along with many of the students here so it's not social problems either."
There was a nearly noticeable twitch in Yasuo-sensei's eye, but it went away as the man continued to smile. "Well, it has come to my attention that there are rumors saying that the two of you are in a relationship. As model students, the two of you should know that such rumors can be quite damaging to your respective reputations, especially yours Tsuna-kun." He addressed the Dhampir who looked at him like he was delusional.
Tsuna sighed, already figuring out where this damn conversation was leading to. While he didn't exactly hate Yasuo-sensei as the man was a competent teacher and did his best to have a good relationship with his students, the ongoing problem was that he had an unusual obsession with having a good reputation to the point he attempted to persuade others to his ideals believing that he was being helpful when in reality he wasn't.
By the Blood Mother, he really should've seen this coming…
"Look Yasuo-sensei, I understand that you're concerned with people getting distracted from their school work if they're in a relationship since I know some of them get too focused to the point they forget other stuff." Tsuna explained as he continued. "However, it is not really your concern if students are dating each other or someone else and quite frankly it's off putting that you're attempting to get involved in the private business of others."
That twitch came back again and both he and Chrome thought that Yasuo-sensei was about to snap at them, but the man kept on smiling. "Perhaps it really is none of my business what the students get up to as long as it doesn't affect the school as a whole. However Tsuna-kun, I noticed that you and Chrome-chan have been quite close for a long while and I'm concerned that if the rumors are true then it could prove a detrimental effect on your reputation and more so your grandfather's. I'm sure a respectable businessman such as your grandfather wouldn't be happy that you're in a relationship so early or possibly fooling around with other women and attempting to live a playboy-like lifestyle due to perceived connections." Yasuo-sensei said in a tone that sounded almost scolding, but to Tsuna it sounded like the older man was disappointed in him or something like that. "In fact, I believe it would be best to refrain from dating and focus more on academics and pursuing people with the right reputation as those you want to be around with instead of those you are affiliated with."
Okay, now he was starting to get annoyed at this guy. Yasuo was really pushing it by acting like he knew shit about him or what he was like in general along with those he was friends with but what really annoyed the Dhampir the most was that Yasuo acted like he knew about his grandfather.
This… pathetic little human knew nothing!
However, before Tsuna could say anything, Chrome stepped forward to Yasuo-Sensei and by the look on her face he knew she was pissed at the man who acted like he knew everything.
"Yasuo-sensei you are seriously out of line!" She nearly screamed at the man who was almost startled at getting yelled out by someone he thought was a demure and shy young woman. "Where the hell do you get off by butting into the lives of others and acting like you know anything about them?! For your information it's none of your damn business that me and Tsuna-kun are in a relationship. We love and trust each other very much so that should be enough for you to leave it at that, but apparently it isn't the case to be. You seem to put my beloved on this high ass pedestal you conducted in your mind for reasons unknown and get disappointed when he doesn't meet your expectations. It's also none of your business on who Tsuna is friends with as long as they're trustworthy and don't stab him in the back."
The purple-haired girl stopped for a moment to catch her breath as she continued to glare at the older man. "Well guess what Sensei? Fuck you and your perceived expectations! I used to respect you as a teacher because you knew what you were doing and you were one of the few teachers that actually tried to reach out to the students and help them. However, if all you're gonna do is obsess over your reputation and the reputations of others then it's obvious you truly don't care about the students and just want to conform them to your ideas!"
And with that, Chrome grabbed Tsuna by the hand and left the classroom before glaring at Yasuo one last time. "And for the record, Tsuna's grandfather knows that we're dating and approves of it. Hell, we're actually engaged and as long as we don't have a baby before marriage he doesn't care what we get up to. I really feel sorry for Ikumi-Sensei being married to a guy like you. I hope she wakes up and sees how much of a jackass you are."
By the time they were gone, Yasuo was frozen in shock and disbelief by what happened and fell down onto his knees.
"What… have I been doing… with myself?" He said as he stared blankly at the clock on the wall.
"Hey, you guys were taking a while to leave. The hell happened?" Gokudera asked as he and the others were walking down the street with Tsuna and Chrome. When the pair told their friends what happened in the classroom they were quite shocked and outraged at Yasuo's behavior.
"That fucking prick! Just who the hell does he think he is?!" Growled out Zoro as he released some Haki out accidentally. "Seriously, what the fuck is his problem!"
Shizuka was a little frightened at the strange energy that the moss-haired teen was giving off, but was quite mad as well. "I know right? What does he have against Tsuna and Chrome being together to begin with? They're a perfect couple!"
"Totally too extreme for him to do that!" Ryohei shouted out loudly, agreeing that Yasuo overstepped his boundaries as a teacher.
"Hehehe, honestly I'm rather disappointed in Yasuo-senpai. He seemed like a good teacher, but he should know when to step back and leave things alone." Takeshi said with a laugh trying to be neutral, but even he agreed that the older man was out of line.
"I'm just glad that Chrome-chan told him off!" Mash exclaimed as she hugged the purple haired girl rather affectionately, much to her embarrassment. "I never really cared much for that guy. He came off like a self-righteous ass who values his reputation way too much. Not to mention the rare arguments he's had with Zoro, Gokudera and Hibari-senpai or anyone else that does something he doesn't approve of."
That was mostly true, Tsuna had sometimes seen Yasuo-sensei try to lecture the teens whenever one of them did something that he didn't like. Sure all three had their rough edges, especially Gokudera though he had calmed down mostly and was somewhat level headed now with the occasional outburst if someone talked badly about him or the silver-head in general.
All Hibari did was glare at the older man until he backed off while Zoro ignored him.
As they got to Tsuna's house, they noticed that his mother Nana was outside in the yard chatting with a woman in casual clothes who looked to be around the same age as her. She also had short purple hair and light purple eyes.
Gokudera raised an eyebrow on the hair color, but didn't think much of it since his own hair color wasn't exactly normal to begin with and the Kamado Twins both told him one time of a woman they knew who had pink hair that turned lime green at the halfway point.
Apparently it was from eating a lot of Sakura Mochi.
"Oh! You're home sweetie." Said Nana as she noticed the Dhampir and his friends. "Do you remember Yoshizawa Kana here? She's Satoru's mother." She said as she gestured towards the purple-haired woman who smiled and waved.
"Hey there Tsuna-kun. Wow you got so big!" She giggled as Tsuna raised an eyebrow. "You probably don't remember me much, but I used to visit at times when you were a baby. You were so cute back then." She teased, causing the Dhampir to blush.
"Really?" Mash teased while looking at the older woman. "Do you have any baby pictures of him by chance?" She said with a grin as Chrome and Nezuko blushed at the idea of said pictures while Shizuka giggled a bit.
"Oh! In Fact I do, just a few though." Kana exclaimed as she got out her phone and showed the teen girls the photos much to Tsuna's embarrassment. "He was so clingy as a child back then, especially when he was around 4 and got rather hyper at times. You would think he got the energy from the sun hehehe."
The guys in the group chuckle a bit at seeing the photos and agree that Tsuna was quite adorable as a young child. It got a little worse when the kids came outside to see what was going on along with Reborn and when they saw the pictures they giggled and laughed a bit as well.
Reborn discreetly made some copies for blackmail material later on.
"All right now, that's enough teasing. So Tsuna, how was school?" Nana asked and Tsuna let out an exasperated sigh along with Chrome as they told the older Dhampir what had happened.
By the end of it, Nana was quite put off by Yasuo's behavior and strange attempt to break up her son's relationship with Chrome. She was even more annoyed that the man was quick to accuse her son of "living a playboy lifestyle" all because of who his grandfather is.
Oh, she knew what her son did with Ingrid, Mash and Chrome during the night of his birthday. She just didn't care cause the three ladies used a spell to prevent pregnancy and thus knew they were being responsible. Though she also had a feeling that Nezuko and Rukia would join Tsuna's budding harem pretty soon since she once heard the Frost Demon get rather vocal about wanting a turn.
So long as Tsuna was responsible and didn't make her a grandmother before he married them, she turned a blind eye to what he and his harem got up to at night.
"Well then sweetie, I'll be sure to give the school a call about your teacher's behavior. This is highly unprofessional and quite concerning that he would try to do this." She said before looking at Kana with an apologetic look. "Sorry that you had to hear this Kana-san. This must be pretty awkward for you."
"Huh? Oh it's not a problem." Kana dismissed it with a smile, but Tsuna noticed it was rather strained. "I've heard about Yasuo-san being a man quite obsessed with his reputation but I never knew it was that bad. Plus I didn't know you and your son were related to Edwin Black. Didn't even know that such a busy businessman such as him even had a family, hehehe." She laughed rather awkwardly.
Nana raised an eyebrow about the laughter as she felt it was forced, but didn't say anything about it. "Well I do agree that he's very busy, but when he does have time he tries his best to be there for his family. Especially since he took Tsuna in for a few years due to bullying and harassment he faced when he was younger." She said as she brushed her son's hair a bit. "While I admit that my relationship with my father wasn't perfect when I was younger, it has gotten a bit better these days and for that I'm thankful."
Kana seemed to accept that and left soon after, but not before hugging Tsuna and saying it was nice to see him again and telling the Dhampir he was always welcomed at her house since Satoru spoke highly of him. She also apologized to Chrome for Kenya's behavior the other day and told her that the young boy wasn't a bad kid, he just has attachment issues due to his parents always being busy with work and not having many friends at school.
Chrome was skeptical, but accepted the apology somewhat as she told the older woman that while she didn't hate Kenya she didn't tolerate his behavior and warned her that she needed to keep an eye on the young boy.
As Kana disappeared from their view, Tanjiro tapped Tsuna on the shoulder to get his attention. "Hey did you smell that? It's rather faint, but I was able to sense it nonetheless." He said rather seriously.
Tsuna raised an eyebrow about that and asked the demon if he was sure about it.
"I agree with Tanjiro." Grunted Zoro as he had a serious expression on his face. "Her scent smells similar to Oboro's, albeit weaker. There's no doubt about it, that woman's a Taimanin."
"Wait wait hold up!" Yelled out Gokudera, getting everyones' attention. "Could you guys please explain what you're talking about?! The hell's a Taimanin? Are we in trouble with them or something?"
"The Taimanin are a group of Human Ninjas with special abilities used to fight demons and corrupted humans." Called out a voice which revealed itself to be Rukia who appeared on a tree branch. "While I rarely encountered them and only saw their demonic counterpart at times I can tell you they are quite strong with a few being able to be on par with demon nobles. Frankly, I'm surprised you don't know about them boy. Figured the human mafia would have some knowledge about them in general." She teased as she teleported next to Tsuna.
Gokudera blushed a bit at being called out, but ignored it. "Well, my old man never mentioned them to me. Same with demons before all of this happened."
"Well I don't blame you, since many in the mafia are religious and don't want to be reminded of their past deals with the Demon World." The Frost Demon shrugged. "And don't worry your pretty little head, nobody's in trouble. That woman's obviously retired so I doubt she will make a fuss especially since some of us here are powerful demons Ohohohoho!" She held her hand up to her mouth and laughed in a manner that reminded the group of an arrogant princess.
She then turned serious. "However, while she's not a threat to us there is the possibility of her contacting the higher-ups of the Taimanin however low that be. I believe as long as nobody here shows off demonic powers or causes any trouble we should be fine." She then looked at Tsuna with a deadpan expression on her face. "As for you sweetie, your obvious connection to Black might make you a possible target for the more zealous members but I believe whoever's in charge will just want to have you observed until further notice."
That comment made Tsuna sigh in exasperation. He knew that his grandfather was feared and respected by many, but was also hated as well for various reasons. It was no wonder that whenever the Dhampir and the more demonic members of his Guardian Set participated in either the Demon Arena or the Chaos Arena, the fights would be unrecorded or if they were then the data would sent to a private storage owned by Black to prevent hackers or anybody else looking to snoop around.
It really was no wonder that he had not yet been found by the Taimanin to begin with.
"Well I don't know about you guys, but I'm suddenly hungry from having to hear about secret societies and the existence of demons." Shizuka piped up with a nervous laugh as everyone looked at her. "I'm not gonna like, have my memory erased like in the movies or anything, am I?"
That question made them laugh as Nana went inside to make snacks for Tsuna and his friends after such a long and hectic day.
Tsuna reassured the brunette that she wouldn't have her memories erased as it didn't work like that but told her to keep what she heard today to herself as the existence of demons was a discreet secret that not many people knew about.
That made Shizuka rather happy as she liked hanging out with the brown-haired teen and his friends.
Tsuna raised an eyebrow when Reborn gave him a ticket to some island resort of sorts.
"The hell is this?" He said as he gave the ticket a look over.
"It's for an amusement park known as Mafia Land. I figured you and Chrome could use a break from school after what that idiot of a teacher tried to pull." He explained which made Tsuna give out a sigh.
When Shizuka went home that day she told her sister what happened. Suffice to say, Ikumi-sensei wasn't happy and really let her idiot of a husband have it. From what the brunette girl told him they were undergoing couple's therapy to work out their marriage and to figure out the underlying issues of Yasuo's obsession with reputations.
Tsuna was pretty sure Ikumi-sensei strongarmed him into agreeing to go through with it.
"I take it that we're bringing everyone for the ride or just those that have bonded with me? I doubt Hibari-senpai would want to come along if he's busy with something or if he doesn't want to."
"We'll be bringing the others save for him and Ingrid. Kyouya is in the middle of a territorial dispute with another gang so he can't come. As for Ingrid, well I'm rather leery of anyone affiliated with Nomad coming to the island so I think it's best to leave her out. Not to mention the Island is only for those who don't deal in drugs and other activities that pass beyond the code of conduct so Nomad isn't exactly welcome." He explained. "I hope you understand this Tsuna."
The Dhampir waved him off. "No it's alright, I'm sure Ingrid would understand. Besides, she's quite busy these days so I doubt she would have some time to come to a secretive resort island for the Mafia."
"Great! Though word of warning you might have to pass an exam test from a friend of mine before enjoying the resort. It's nothing too serious, just an appraisal of your skills and to see where you're at right now."
Left unsaid was that Colonnello was quite curious of the young Dhampir and wanted to see what he was made of.
The Strongest Soldier was hoping that Reborn's new student would make things interesting.
Mafia Land was… interesting.
It was a good thing that he made sure that the kids stayed with his mother back home. While not overly crowded, the amusement park was full of mafioso with many of them allied to the Vongola. Some of them happened to be fans of Reborn to the point the press was there when they got to the island!
Luckily, Reborn ignored them with Tsuna and his friends following suit because honestly anyone of them would've snapped at these people especially Zoro who was tempted to use Haki on them.
"Woah! The people out there are crazy!" Exclaimed Gokudera as they went into the Reception Office to sign in. "I really thought we were gonna get crowded by them! Is this what every famous Famiglia goes through?"
"If they're like the Vongola then yes." Reborn said with a snicker. "The Vongola in a way are the Big Leagues amongst the Mafia. To be allied with them is considered to be an honor and to attack them means to attack the Alliance as a whole. Through blood, bullets and violence, they have stood against all and remained on top!"
Tsuna rolled his eyes at Reborn's speech. It was pretty obvious that the midget was being dramatic and enjoying it judging by the starstruck mafioso who overheard the speech. He walked up to the reception desk and was met by a raven-haired woman. "Hi, welcome to Mafia Land! What Famiglia are you from?"
"My name is Tsunayoshi Black. I'm a representative of the Vongola Famiglia." Tsuna said calmly.
The receptionist's calm face didn't change much, but the Dhampir could've sworn there was a slight fear in her eyes. "I see… do you have a nomination or invitation by any chance?" She said as she typed away.
"Not exactly, Reborn told me I had to pass a test from a friend of his here before I could enjoy the resort." He said with a shrug.
"Oh! You must be talking about Colonnello. Take the door on the right past the Government Official and go through the double doors. You'll find the subway that'll lead you to Under Mafia Land and to him." She said rather happily.
Tsuna nodded and thanked her as he went to the subway area and boarded the train.
A while later…
"Rather trigger happy for a midget aren't ya?" Tsuna asked rather dryly as he stared at the down form of what was clearly the Rain Arcobaleno with amusement in his now red eyes. When he and Reborn got off the train they were confronted by the blonde haired man with the falcon on his head who upon seeing his Home Tutor tried to shoot the both of them with an Anti-Tank Gun Rifle of all things!
Seriously, was the guy compensating or something?
Reborn was being his usual smug self when he shot Colonnello. "As usual Colonnello, you have terrible taste when it comes to firearms."
"Tch, when it comes to being a soldier you gotta have strong firepower, kora!" The blonde soldier said as he got up. "You on the other hand always carry weak guns with weak bullets, kora!" He exclaimed as he held up a heavily dented bullet.
The two continue to bicker back a while until Tsuna flared his flames at them. "As amusing as it is to see you two bitch at each other, I'm pretty sure we came here for me to undertake a test of sorts to appraise my skills."
"Huh? Oh right I forgot about that, kora." Colonnello said blushing slightly, ignoring Reborn's jabs of him being forgetful. "It's an obstacle course that I put the recruits through at times if I feel they're slacking off or if I want to be sadistic to them." He said with a chuckle that sounded pretty evil as he looked at Tsuna. "Reborn mentioned to me that you're part Vampire so I'm sure I can put you through the ringer without hearing any complaints, kora!"
"I would like to see you try midget." Tsuna said with a dark chuckle as his eyes glowed a bright amber color.
Both knew this was gonna be fun.
Colonnello's POV…
It was official, he loved the kid.
To him, Tsuna was a breath of fresh air that he wished he had met sooner. The teen did not complain much when he made him swim down in the whirlpool and looked like he enjoyed it judging by the laughter he was hearing.
Nor did he complain when the Rain Arcobaleno had him do the obstacle course. The Dhampir sped through the course pretty easily and even redid it a few times just for laughs. He even upped the difficulty by releasing some animals such as Crocodiles, a couple Hippos and even one mean old Bull Elephant to see if the teen could handle it.
Apparently he could. He ripped through them including the Elephant with those sickle scythes of his which surprised the soldier as even someone like him needed to use Rain-enhanced bullets to take them down especially when it came to the Hippos and the Elephant. It got even more interesting when a second train came by and out came some of his Guardians who looked to see what was going on before deciding to join in on the obstacle course as well.
He could've sworn some of the new recruits got sliced up by that moss haired Lightning or turned frozen solid by the snow haired Rain who was using a sword that looked like it was made of ice!
So some of the kid's Guardians were also Demons huh? Eh, it just made things more fun and it's not like the newbies would be missed since they obviously got in the way.
He kinda wondered if the kid would be fine with rifle training. He could only imagine the kind of damage Tsuna could do with an Anti-Tank Rifle laced with Sky-enhanced bullets.
"Huh that's odd. Looks like there's a fleet of ships with military grade weapons heading our way." Said Tsuna as he looked through the telescope.
Colonnello raised an eyebrow at that until both his and Reborn's pacifiers started glowing.
"Great, looks like the lackey has found us." Reborn groaned in annoyance. Colonnello confirmed it by looking through his binoculars. "Yep, he and what looks like the Carcassa Famiglia are arriving." He then turned to Tsuna with a smirk. "Well kid, looks like you can get some rifle training done, kora! How good are you with firearms?"
Tsuna smirked. "Somewhat decent. I practice with the gun I got from Reborn on my birthday at times."
"Well you're now about to become excellent at it once we're done, kora!" The former COMSUBIN soldier said, now slipping into commander mode. "I'll also want the two of you to slice up and freeze those ships in their tracks if you can, kora! There's no way in hell I'll let Carcassa Ships stink up my island!" He said to Zoro and Rukia who were smirking at the carnage they were able to make.
"I'll leave the fun to you guys now. Wake me up when Skull crashes onto the island." Reborn said, suddenly going to sleep.
He knew things were about to get interesting.
Skull POV…
Skull was having a bad day…
Scratch that… he was having a FUCKING SHITTY DAY!
First off, he was forced to work for the damn Carcassas because the drug dealing fuckers were threatening to burn down the traveling circus he was living with unless he did what they say.
Second of all, he was being made to track down Mafia Land because as usual the Carcassa were being fucking salty at not being invited to the amusement park despite the fact they were blacklisted from there for a good damn reason!
Yeah he finally managed to track down the island, it wasn't exactly easy considering the island was hard to find and it moved with the waves and currents of the ocean nevermind the fact that some Carcassa Members were claiming to have seen some kind of weird ghost ship from the distance accompanied by a giant whale with a bunch of scars on its head.
The Immortal Stuntman was too proud to admit it, but he was scared shitless of ghosts! As for the whale, well while he wasn't an expert he doubted it was that big to begin with since such a large species of whale would've died out years ago.
As they neared Mafia Land, they ended up in the firing range of someone who didn't hesitate in sniping them from such a long range. He doubted it was Colonnello blasting them unless he somehow gained the ability to use freaking Sky Flames! Whoever was doing it seemed to have some experience in firearms and was only getting better at it.
It got worse when two teens with odd colored hair (one guy with moss green hair and the other a girl with white hair of all things!) suddenly appeared out of nowhere and made a mess of the fleet. The moss haired teen was slicing through the hulls of the ships with three swords of all things while the girl was freezing them in place with her sword in a series of odd dances along with some of the Carcassa. Getting a good look at the two while running away on Oodako, Skull could see that both of them had pointed ears along with their respective flames that felt a little unnatural.
Aww fuck… just his luck. He just had to encounter Demons of all things!
He'd managed to track his fellow Arcobaleno down along with the sniper shooting at his guys ironically enough. Getting a good look at the teen smirking at him, he looked to be about 16 years and fitted the description of the current Vongola heir judging by the slightly pointed ears and currently red eyes which marked him as a Dhampir.
Seriously, what the hell was Iemitsu thinking?!
Shaking his head, Skull wasn't really that surprised when Reborn was able to trick Oodako into not listening to his commands. Fucking bastard could be suck a jerk at times.
"Alright that's enough Reborn. You've had your fun." Tsuna suddenly said, getting the attention of the cursed adults which surprised Skull that the kid was willing to defy Reborn.
"He's our lackey Tsuna, he should know better than to challenge us." Reborn said with a sniff, looking rather put out that his fun had ended.
"Doesn't give you the excuse to be such an ass." The teen retorted back as he pulled Skull's helmet off of him and used a cloth to wipe away some blood. "Those two pick on you a lot don't they?" He said with some sympathy as he reached into his bag and pulled out some cookies for Skull to eat.
Skull was quite happy with the cookies and for a somewhat scary looking teen, Tsuna was a pretty sweet kid.
"Thanks, you're so much nicer than those two jerks." The Immortal Stuntman said as he bit into his cookies. "You're a lot nicer than Edwin Black as well."
"Oh? So you know my grandad?" Tsuna said with a raised eyebrow as he looked over to Reborn and Colonnello who were sweating a bit.
"Those two may not want to admit it or even want to remember, but before we got cursed we got sent on a mission to kill the Vampire. Suffice to say we got our asses whooped, even Luce got kicked to the curb and to add insult to injury Edwin didn't even look tired when we fought him. Hell, he was smiling and laughing at us like we were bratty neighbor kids attempting to be tough and even thanked us for the fight before leaving." Skull explained, ignoring the other two trying to silence him. "He didn't even try to kill us, he was just amused that a bunch of humans were trying to square up against him."
Honestly though, Skull thought that he and the others got off easy when they accepted that mission. Sure it ended in failure, but at least they didn't get killed off or worse stranded in the middle of the Dark World.
Either way, it amazed him that the vampire had a grandson as nice as Tsuna. What was also surprising was the purity of his Sky Flames. He'd honestly thought the teen's flames would've been dark and corrupting but instead they were full of light. Sure he did sense there was an underlying darkness within, but it seemed to be pretty balanced out by the Sky Flames.
He kinda wondered if he could harmonize with the kid. Sure he was scared shitless of the possibility of Edwin Black being around, but it was honestly better than the current situation he was in right now. He was fucking tired of being kicked around and looked down on all because he came from a civilian background. Just because he wasn't much of a fighter and preferred doing stunts didn't mean he was the weakest of the Arcobaleno.
As Skull left the island, Reborn sighed and rubbed his eyes.
"Ya know Tsuna, normally Skies don't have a bunch of Guardians in their set. But considering the shit I've seen with you, I wouldn't be surprised if by some chance you managed to harmonize with one of the Arcobaleno."
Tsuna shrugged, taking a break from learning how to take apart and maintain a large rifle. "It's possible. While I haven't felt anything from you yet, I've felt a few sparks when Fon came to visit. As I already once said, as long as the person is compatible with me there's the chance of Harmonizing with them."
"True."
Colonnello scoffed at that. "Not to burst your bubble, but the only person who had the chance to Harmonize with us was that bitch Luce and look where that got us to begin with."
He didn't mean to sound like an ass, but the years of being in a cursed body and having an unknown destiny had left the blonde rather jaded. Sure he wasn't supposed to be there during that day, but he could not shake the feeling that something bad was gonna happen and so he took the curse for Lal.
And while it got a little better when Luce died, it just wasn't the same anymore. Despite being the holder of the Sky Pacifier, she wasn't their Sky so there wasn't much of a bond to begin with to mourn over.
Reborn just smirked at hearing that while drinking his coffee. "Let me put it in a different way. Due to the way Tsuna's flames work, especially with the duality it has with being pure and full of darkness at the same time, he can harmonize those that don't fit the norm when it comes to Flames. Not to mention some of his Guardians are Demons who are able to use them despite never having contact with the flames before."
Colonnello thought about it, but gave the Sun an odd look. Reborn always had an agenda in mind even before they got cursed and always kept to himself unless it benefitted him to speak to others. So for him to say that made the Rain rather suspicious, but he couldn't sense there wasn't anything too sketchy that the ass was telling him that would come back to bite him later on.
Either way, the day was quite crazy and it got crazier the moment some strange pirate ship came out of nowhere accompanied by a large ass whale who's size wouldn't make it look out of place in one of Skull's Kaiju Movies.
Zoro couldn't believe it, but it was there right in front of him along with the others who looked at the ship with puzzled expressions.
"That's the Thousand Sunny…" He whispered out. "I can't believe it's still around."
"Jesus, that's a real life pirate ship!" Gokudera yelled out in excitement as he had stars in his eyes at seeing such a ship. "But what's it doing here in the first place along with the giant whale?"
Suddenly, the giant whale rumbled to life as it stared at the group and let one hell of a bellowing noise.
"GRRR-ROOOOOOOW!" It bellowed out which made the group wary and nervous at the noise as they covered their ears until they heard the sound of a violin being played.
"Yohohoho! Oh Laboon, must you be so loud?" A voice full of mirth and laughter called out from the ship. "Even in my old age I can still hear you just fine! Not that I have ears! Yohohohoho, skull joke!"
It was soon revealed to be a skeleton. An actual, talking Skeleton with an afro and wearing formal attire jumped off of the ship and walked toward them. Seeing such a thing made some nervous while others were rather curious.
Zoro on the other hand…
"Brook is that you?" The moss haired swordsman said, getting the attention of everyone as he stared at the Skeleton. "Surprised that you're still alive after all this time, grandpa." He grinned at seeing the tic mark form on the skeletal man.
"Quit calling me that Zoro! For the last time I'm not your grandpa!" Brook said in comical anger that made Zoro laugh.
He then calmed down and spoke more in a polite tone. "It is good to see you again Zoro. Quite frankly I wasn't sure you were alive either after that grand adventure dealing with the World Government/East India Trading Company and finding the One Piece. Regardless, it warms my heart that you've found new friends to cherish. Not that I have a heart! Yohohoho, skull joke!"
It was pretty apparent that Brook and Zoro knew each other as the Skeleton explained their history and the adventures they had. By the end, some were amazed at what happened during the Age of Piracy while others like Reborn and Colonnello felt like they needed a drink.
"So what happened to the Devil Fruits?" Tanjiro asked. "If they reappear after the death of their host then why haven't they been found nowadays? Are they really that rare or did something happen causing them to not show up ever again?"
"Mhmm, that is a really good question young man." Brook replied. "To be honest I'm not exactly sure myself as I still have my Devil Fruit Powers otherwise I would've died a second death. However, If I had to guess it may have had to do with us finally finding the One Piece and defeating Nerona Imu. Other than that, I haven't seen any Devil Fruit or Devil Fruit Users in centuries. And believe me, I looked all over and beyond the Caribbean Sea."
After that was said and done, Tsuna and the others began to enjoy their time at Mafia Island. Brook was a pretty cool guy, however it was obvious he had a thing for those 'skull jokes'. Not to mention he was somewhat of a pervert especially when he asked Nezuko, Mash, Rukia and Chrome if he could see their panties.
That got the skeletal man an ass whooping while Tsuna and the others laughed at his misfortune.
A while later…
"Tsuna-kun, could you please rub some sunscreen on me?" Said Chrome in an indigo bikini.
"Sure thing Chrome-chan." Tsuna replied back.
After all that went on, Tsuna and Chrome were able to enjoy themselves and relax on the beach. They were in a secluded part where they would have some privacy in case they wanted to have some fun with each other.
"Hey! Rub some sunscreen on me as well Tsuna!" Shouted Rukia, wearing what appeared to be a white sling bikini that left little to the imagination, not that Tsuna was complaining as he already had some ideas on what he wanted to do to the Frost Demon. He also got to work on rubbing sunscreen on Mash and Nezuko as well. The last two were wearing pink and black-orange bikinis that were slightly skimpy.
"Oh and also…" Rukia trailed off as she moved the top part of her bikini aside, exposing her breasts as she looked at Tsuna with a lustful grin. "I want you to fuck me~ It is my turn after all and I've been waiting for a long time~"
"Don't forget me also Tsuna-kun~" Nezuko said as she pressed her breasts against the Dhampir's head as she grew into her awakened form, only this time the form was rather tall and made the demoness look like a milf. "Ara Ara~ I want you to fuck the both of us silly till we look pregnant before fucking us some more~"
Tsuna was more than happy to oblige.
By the time he was done with his ladies, it was already night so they packed up and headed back to the hotel.
Reborn looked like he needed a drink along with Colonnello who had heard what was going on earlier with the teen and the girls.
He seriously wished he and Lal were adults again.
